Keith Coltrain: The sales representative was very helpful and accommodating. My complaint is not with him but with the company's billing department. I had made a fairly large purchase that was going to be delivered in various shipments over five months. I was told my credit card would be charged for each delivery when the shipment was made. However, the billing department billed my credit card for the entire order at once. This was an irritating surprise, but I could have accommodated that billing even though it would have pushed my card to near the limit. The billing department then, one day later, erroneously billed my card AGAIN for roughly 70% of the order; i.e., I had now been billed 170% of the order. This resulted in my exceeding my credit card limit by over $5000 which caused my credit card company shut down my card. To make matters worse, I was planning to leave on vacation the next day and needed my card for the trip. I tried reaching Pottery Barn's customer service but after 1-1/2 hours on hold, I gave up. I then contacted the store manager and was told that he could do nothing about it, but that the charges were "test runs" to confirm available credit and that they should fall off in 5 to 7 days. He had no explanation at all as to why my card had been double charged. I was ultimately able to transfer money from my checking account to make an advance, online payment on my credit card to lower it to below the allowed limit thus freeing it up for use on my vacation. The entire process cost me three hours of time during a work day, and when, Pottery Barn's erroneous charges are finally reversed, I'll have approximately a $10,000 credit on the card that will take several months to spend down. The take away is to be ready for large, erroneous charges to be placed on your credit card.
Anna Adams: I ordered a sectional couch that was delivered stained and not assembled. After reaching out to Pottery Barn multiple times, they offered me 15% off my original purchase OR the option for a couch medic to come to my house to clean the couch. As I paid for a “performance fabric” I picked the 15% rebate assuming it wouldn’t be hard to clean/ assemble the couch. The cleaning was a piece of cake, but the assembly process has proven to be a nightmare. The delivery men clearly struggled as the couch was not well constructed to begin with. The alligator clips don’t align, and there is no passive path of insertion for the sectional pieces. Not only do I wish I had not taken the 15% discount, but I wish I had never ordered from Pottery Barn to begin with.
Mona Tanyi: I always come in here to window shopping, mainly because the items are dreamy beautiful but a bit pricy. By window shop, I mean sometimes I buy something. I love interior decorating and pottery barn also has a lot of design inspiration. This location has an excellent variety of good quality products.
Kea Allen: The service here was great. We were looking for a couch and one of the representatives made sure to let us know that things could be customized to suit our liking, looked for options that would fit my space, and printed out a quote while providing me a material sample to take with me. While I may not have ended up purchasing the couch, I will say that I will be going there again to shop for decor just because of how nice of an experience it was.

Deborah Riley: Never have I taken the time to write a review for a company. If I could give Pottery Barn negative stars I would. Their customer service was horrible! I canceled an order and two months later had my account charged they refused credit my account and insisted I have a merchandise credit which I did not want AND I never got the product because they sent it to the wrong address. Multiple times I asked to speak to a supervisor which they would not pass me up to instead they sent me to a team leader who was not only rude but didn’t know what he was doing. If you order from this company make sure you want the item because it’s impossible to cancel and get a refund

Tirrill Moore: Do not order furniture from Pottery Barn. We ordered a sectional sofa from this location in early November of 2020-it has since been delayed numerous times and now isn't scheduled to arrive until June of 2021. The sales people at the store will give you a 6-8 week estimate for delivery, but that is a plain lie. Once you order, you cannot get a refund until the item is delivered. We've been out thousands of dollars for 5 months with no furniture to show for it.

These ladies are top notch and Pottery Barn is my number one favorite place to buy furniture, bedding, and decor. I especially love Pottery Barn Kids. All of their furniture is Greenguard Gold Certified and their bedding is organic. When it comes to air quality and maximum safety for my child, I would never consider any other store. PBK doesn’t just meet safety regulations, they exceed them!

Tonia Porrata: I ordered a sectional sofa over a year ago. The first scheduled delivery they never showed up and when I called they said it was lost. Second scheduled delivery they came with only one section of the sofa and said they don’t know where the rest of it is. Third scheduled delivery no show saying sofa was damaged. Fourth scheduled delivery they came with two pieces of the sofa that didn’t even match what I already have. One section was ivory, the other section was beige and the section I have is white. They don’t even have the same filling. One is firm and one is soft. And of course one was damaged again. I can’t even tell you the amount of time I have spent on the phone trying to get this fixed. It’s been a full time job Not sure when I will have my sofa. They say they will call me back and never do. I will NEVER buy furniture from pottery barn again. Worst experience I ever had.Oh and white glove delivery… they wore shoes in my house on almost white rug.Just horrible!
Susan Tinnon: Ordered 3 end tables the end of Dec. received 2. Was charged for all 3 immediately; over $1,000. It is mid April and still have not received the last one. Can’t get anyone to explain why I have not received the third or tell me a firm date on when I will receive it. Have shopped here over many years but there service and reliability has clearly declined.

P H: In 2021 I purchased a set of 1.25" Antique Bronze Standard Glass Oval Finials, and in less than 2 years, while I was sleeping, the glass portion of the finial disconnected from the metal portion of the finial and fell on my hardwood floor, damaging it along the way. I have sent photos and spoke with the escalations department, and they will not replace this malfunctioning finial. I would expect a finial to last much longer than just under two years. This is very poor customer service and they have lost a loyal customer.
Chad Hanna: Have had multiple deliveries from Pottery Barn delayed or never show up (I mean over six months). When they arrive, they are regularly damaged or missing parts. I won't be ordering anything further from Pottery Barn. The Hickory Hub has no quality control and customer service gets reamed for the poor service out of this hub. Hopefully there are some actual measures on success as I'm yet to see a delivery successful that isn't a rug (can't miss parts of that though heavily delayed). I've placed my last order for delivery.
Lois Rohrer: Service in the store is great but scheduling delivery is very difficult. The concierge scheduling only opens schedule 3 weeks from what they tell me and it is full. You have to call repeatedly to attempt to schedule. When my partial order did arrive two items required replacement and one item was missing from truck and is now back ordered again. Furniture is very pricey, quality is deteriorating and delivery is extremely difficult. Had I known how this would go I would have shopped elsewhere.

Crystal Scott: I have spent MONEY through Pottery Barn to furnish our new home. My most recent purchase was TWO Flynn floor lamps at $499 ea. YES! Crazy, but they matched the same pendant we purchased for our kitchen. The company does NOT make it known when special sales (like the recent MARCH 31st) sale occured. They claim they do, but they actually withhold that info to get you to spend more. After my large value purchase, I emailed corporate during the sale to ask for a price match as I recieved these 7 days prior. They responded with this reply:"I welcome the opportunity to assist you today. I hope this email reaches you in good health and spirits.I am so sorry to hear that your items have gone on sale and completely understand the frustration of your items now being discounted. Unfortunately we do not offer price adjustments as our products' prices are frequently fluctuating throughout the year due to the many different sales and promotional discounts we offer. However, I do a have a few suggestions for you so that you are always in the know regarding our upcoming sales and promotions.Have you signed up for our promotional email list? We do send out emails with new sales and promotions currently going on, this way you never miss out on a sale.You are more than welcome to re-buy the items at the sale price and return the originally purchased items if you would like, but return shipping fees will still apply.My sincere apologies for any disappointment that we cannot make price adjustments, but I hope this information is helpful. Thank you again for reaching out to us. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if there is anything else that I can assist with."So, the only option a guest has if they've over spent on a purchase is to bring the items BACK TO THE STORE, return them and buy them at a discount. Then you wait to get your items again. How does this make sense? This is a greedy "gotchya" scheme that I'm not here for and they have LOST a high-value customer if they will not make this right. I've also called the store as this is the store location we visit and was SPOKEN TO by a Julie at Southpoint in Durham, NC. I word it this way because that was her demeanor and at the point she scoffed (laughed) and said something along the lines of "CAN I SPEAK" while I was talking with her. This company not only needs to employ people who enjoy giving excellent customer experience for the high value items they sell but also needs to update its "renaissance era" policies that do not give guests a great customer experience and make them feel cheated. I'm beyond fed up with this company.

Store clerk was super rude to me no help at all customer service was a better help even though I still have to go through my bank they help me track down what was going on

Tracey Mercer: Worst experience I have ever had in my life. After I purchased the furniture paid in full the sales person never contacted me back. He told me that one piece of the furniture had to be ordered and would take a few days. I called back twice to only be told another week which it's over three weeks and I still don't have my furniture. He also wanted to debate with me which piece we were waiting on. Instead of trying to make things better he keep telling me you know how warehouses are, no I don't know. I will never shop there again nor will I refer them to any of my friends.
