Joel Holloway: Great entertainment for the family. The performers are great and the venue is top notch. A little slice of Broadway in Raleigh
Gary Crispens: I have enjoyed several plays here where family members were in them. There is plenty of free onsite parking, very clean restrooms and comfortable sofas and stuffed chairs in the lobby. The lighting and acoustics were very good and the stage is large enough for big dance scenes. The seating is close to the stage for easy viewing.
Kelsey Williams: Great staff, great performance
Donna Smith: Nice cozy theater. Jersey Boys was phenomenal!
Kenneth Jones: Great theater
Woody Hadley: If you want to catch a show in a smaller, intimate setting, I suggest you try Theater Raleigh, throughly enjoyed Jersey Boys.
Andrew Lamar: Cool little venue with great performances. Intimate seating means there's not a bad seat in the house.
Crystal Hobbs: We saw the Jersey Boys production and the entire experience was excellent! This was our first time coming to the theatre, and it was easy to get to, plenty of free parking, the concession stand/lobby/rest rooms were clean and pleasantly decorated. The greeters/staff were kind and welcoming guiding us and providing directions when needed. The stage and seating area was spacious yet intimate (I don’t think there was a bad seat at all) with comfortable seats and appropriate leg room. The actors, musicians and the behind the scenes staff were phenomenal; the audiovisual elements were outstanding with just enough staging to allow our imagination to take care of the rest. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and we plan to see another show at this theatre in the future, as well as recommend the theatre to family and friends. Thank you.
sharlene deklerk: We loved The Jersey Boys! An outstanding, talented cast and an excellent production. Get yourself tickets to see it! It runs to 4/23/23. Theatre Raleigh may be small on size but its huge on talent. We can't wait to see The Measure of Everything in May.
Shana Barr: Beautiful small theater. Seats around 200. Bar, snacks, and popcorn. Gender neutral bathrooms. As a former musical theater director, the production of Jersey Boys was top notch! I will definitely be back for future shows.
Nan Price: We totally enjoyed this show and didn't want it to end!
Cozy Mozy: Super spacious, clean, well-managed and pleasantly delightful place to spend time with such talented and gracious talent.... The theater concession Stand well stocked
Jean Cavanaugh: The show Pierre Natasha and the great comet of 1812 was great! Kept ur interest, and the cast wS awesome especially Dave Toole, who played Pierre, was outstanding! Awesome voice and stage presence. Loved the show
Timur Gergiia: We saw "The Great Comet of 1812" three times in two weeks, the theater itself is great, absolutely blew my mind away with the whole experience.
Greg Laux: I love theatre Raleigh! Great professional theatre in a cool setting.
Sallie St Laurent: Great space. Excellent performance. Looking forward to going back!
Anastasia Brown: Masterfully done. Made an excellent outing for my dad and I to have a little Daddy daughter event
Stephen Smith: Intimate theater experience.
Scott Ring: Theatre Raleigh is fantastic. Their new theatre is absolutely beautiful. Saw City of Angels and was really impressed with everything about the show. The actors, the costumes, the band, everything was top notch. This is such a wonderful asset for the Raleigh community.
Lacy Darryl Phillips: Great Staff, Great Energy, Great Productions!
Kilana Ann: Fun venue!

LORRIE POLIQUIN: The theater is a great place to see small regional shows. The place is clean and the outside gardens are a wonderful place to visit while you wait for the doors to open. My only negative about the place is that the seats are Very hard and uncomfortable to sit in. My suggestion is to bring a cushion.
Deb McNaughton: Hands on a Hardbody is fantastic! Great acting, fun music, a wonderful experience all around!
Smith Chipley: Great play will definitely be going again.
Patricia Parada: Bellas obras teatrales y espacios
Rebecca Poling: My five year old granddaughter had gone to Raleigh Little Theatre on a school field trip. She enjoyed it so much she asked me to take her again. It was fun and unique! The stage setting was bright and colorful, and invited young children to sit on pillows right next to the actors. The message that the characters delivered was to be kind and accepting of others. It was an uplifting experience!
Janice Malcom-Graham: Very hospitable greeters and we enjoyed tge show!
Tori Brock: So fun to have a fun event to go to with my oldest daughter and once my youngest grows up a little more I will definitely take her to shows here as well. Great job Fancy Nancy Musical cast!!

Alison Thompson: ¡Gran talento!

Noe Corea: Good place and professional staff
Corinna Shuler: Excellent venue!
Grato Cocina: Hermoso!! Organizado
oats oliphant: Seats are tight if you are a bigger person
Brian Mountain: I recently went to see a dance performance here and was disapointed with the staffs blind, willingness to forgo someone's right to film. First of all it's a public building and people have the right to film. Secondly, there are no signs saying cameras prohibited. It makes little diffrent that the performance presenters requested no cameras. For those thinking these were paid performers, no...I was filming my daughter. There are also a far overreach by limiting size of womans handbags that couldn't be explained rationally. Every time I come to this place I feel that the security staff, allthough very nice have no respect or don't understand basic fundmental rights. However they are either grossly undertrained or these are teachings from the higher ups.
charlene wilson: Great time! Awesome venue!
William Thompson: hermoso edificio
Faith Johnson: me encanta este teatro
Quinton Powell: Gran lugar..
David Miller: Un hermoso lugar
Zechariah 4:6: gran lugar

Karen Snipes: Great play. Loved the experience
M. C.: My granddaughter celebrated her birthday by presenting a dance performance here!! Excellent facility! Also learned some if the history about the building!! Well set up facility, everything suited to a occasion as such!! The Ambience was great!!
Debbie Good: The Cherry Orchard is an amazing production by the most talented cast & crew.
Vi a Fuddy Meers aquí.
Cero estrellas.
Lauren Liebal: Please head this warning and do not (for any reason) book this venue for your wedding or any event other than a play. You will regret your decision, here’s why:1) At first glance this venue is appealing for various reasons. It’s unique, it’s downtown, it has a neat history and it’s mostly unknown. Also the price point is low up front (you pay for this later though). All these things attracted me to the venue.Reasons NOT to book this venue:1). Simply put, they are not equipped to facilitate events, of any kind. They do not have a staff that can or will accommodate you for your event, so you are all on your own for planning. This seemed cool at first, but there were so many gaps that needed to be filled and weren’t leading up to, and during, our wedding. Making it worse, the director of the venue went out of town the weekend of our wedding without telling us and didn’t respond to my emails or calls for 2 days - as I was trying to figure out how to get keys. Talk about panic! Finally my fiancé had to drive to the venue and was able to find an intern working.2). The venue was FILTHY, and I mean filthy. One of our vendors charged us extra after the wedding because of how much they had to clean and also because the bathrooms were completely empty from toilet paper and paper towels on the onset of the wedding. No care goes into maintaining the venue and even they will tell you, they only have it cleaned once a month, maybe. It took an army to clean the venue for the wedding and even then, it was still filthy. I can’t focus on this enough. It took hours and hours and so much manual labor to try and get the place to a satisfactory level of “clean”.We had our wedding in August, just after they had run a summer camp for kids - and they didn’t get the venue cleaned after. This is normal for them.I really can't stress how dirty the place was.3) Everything you do will be 100% A La cart. Again, this seemed cool at first, but I so wish I had chosen a venue that had typical (less stressful) wedding packages with staff that was pre-built into the budget to accommodate. I had to hire every bit of my staff individually. This made planning so difficult to manage - even with a wedding planner.4) Accommodations: The chairs the venue had for us to use were completely falling apart. The second you touched them, an arm would fall off or they were start to lean.5) You’re responsible for getting the keys and physically locking up. Not something you want to have to focus on on your wedding night. Just something else to worry about. All in all - I ended up having a pretty stressful wedding just trying to clean the theater alone. We had about 15 family members in town helping us and the facility was still a complete mess. Nothing was stocked in regards to amenities (TP, soap, paper towels) and you're also responsible for moving and putting back the risers. The risers alone were another full-time job.I wish I had seen an honest review from a former bride who used this venue. It would have saved me so much stress. Please keep looking for another venue. You will be so glad you did.
LaDonna High: Great place and great people and great show
Edith Berry: I have visited Burning Coal Theatre before as well as performed! It's a great intimate size theatre. Jerry, the owner and artistic director was very accommodating to The Agape Theatre Project's production of Sweet Mama Stringbean: The life and Times of Ethel Waters on Sunday, July 3rd. He came out to correct a lighting issue because technology is great when it works! It was corrected and as we say in show business, "The Show Must Go On!" And it did!
Irena W: ❤
LuAnn Kinney: New experience, small venue, excellent performances by all 3 in The Road to Mecca.

Michele Simmons: As a parent who attended orientation with my daughter who is an incoming freshman, this was a great venue for the main sessions. The temperature was not too cold and acoustics were good. All visuals were easily seen.
Celine Daily: Very nice venue in Talley Student Union at NCSU! The leg room is a little tight in the upper seats, but overall, an engaging venue.
Robin Arcus: Wonderful for symphony. Can't say how it would work for other types.
Susan Gill: Great shows , beautiful theater, reasonable price.
Jen Gad: 💜💜Loved Loved Loved💜💜Perfect location with plenty of free parking on nights/weekends. Gorgeous comfortable seating and an impeccable performance by the students of NC State University! Will 100% return for another show soon!
David Hammermann: Great, intimate place to see the theatre
Diane E-O: Great place to see the Christmas vocal concert. The sound could be a bit louder and more robust.
Lillian Pearsall: Great acoustics; comfortable seating; great view of stage.
Kirk E Cleary: Very nice facility
Gracias.
Jamar Strickland: Agradable limpio y espacioso
Brent Moore: Nice venue.
Holly Sullenger: Great place for top shelf music events, theatrical performances, and more. Easy to access, central campus location.
Jimmy James: Arturo O'Farrilll 11/6/21 2nd row seats. First number was a homgenious mess. Sound check? During the whole show, Arturo's piano was barely audible. The horns and percussion sounded great for the most part. The masks on the horns was a humorous attempt at PPE(?) Percussionists wearing neck and lip masks. Was really hoping to hear some Afro/Latin/Jazz classics but it was not to be. Instead we got yet another TAP DANCING act from some little girl. REALLY? I'm not paying for any more tickets to see and hear professional musicians when someone brings their teen tap dancing daughter and somehow gets on stage. This has happened twice to us at NC STATE LIVE shows. TAP DANCING! REALLY???
Jim Barker: Great venue with wonderful acoustics. Live music at it's best here
Craig Danby: Wonderful facility
