Hannah O'Brien: Worst doctors office I have ever been too. I printed out all of my patient forms and took the time to fill out all 10 sheets. They never took them to enter my information into the computer. That was the first red flag. They gave me the wrong instructions for my prescription and I didn't notice until I was a week into taking it. I was on hold for the better part of an hour!! When I finally spoke with someone she was extremely rude. She refused to get a nurse or a doctor to speak with me. She then asked for a phone number to call me back. I needed answers as to what steps to take next so I asked again to speak with someone who could advise me. She then placed me on hold for another twenty minutes. I was then sent to someone's voicemail and never received any answers!!

Thelma Payne: Visited UNC Family Medicine at Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh NC for an annual medical. Nurse Allie was very pleasant and caused me to feel comfortable. Dr. Avery always has a smile on her face; and I continued to feel comfortable. She spent a good amount of time asking pertinent health questions. I left knowing my time was spent productively in the office.

ashley sherrod: I have been going here for probably a decade or more at this point. Kacy Stevens is an absolute gem. So kind, and seems genuinely concerned and attentive. Jeffery Huang was amazingly, impressively thorough, attentive, and very nice. The nursing staff has changed over the years and they are far kinder these days. There is a nurse or two that I’ve dealt with at check-in that seemed irritated to be working at all, but people have bad days, man. But when I say the nursing staff is kinder than they used to be, please know that that is a huge understatement. HUGE improvements there.

Michael Shea: After 15 years, I am leaving this practice. Now, during a rapid increase of COVID-19 (Late December) they call me 1 hour before my appointment and insist I come in. One of the staff even told me that there is nothing different today with the omicron variant compared to what it has been since the beginning. She is dead wrong. It is more infectious that measles. I offered to take a partial refill of two or three months, but they offered 2 weeks at most - and January will likely be at or near the peak of the virus. I had a bad doctor there once - they fired her, thankfully. Now they really don't seem to care. The front desk are people have nothing but sullen looks and bad attitudes. Good riddance to this messed up team.

Jessica Springer: This was a horrible experience. The lady at the check-in desk was rude and slow. We waited 25 minutes past our appointment time to get called back. After we were in the room we waited 45 minutes because the doctor took a phone call. Once the doctor came in he did no examination only talked to my child about what they liked to do and asked a few questions on why we were there. Then he said just to come back in a year if we still didn’t see a change. The 2 bills came and that trip cost over $800. This place provides no value and does not value patient’s time at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Joanna Glass: Stay clear of this office. I took my son there for a couple of years and had some issues with one of their pediatricians response to my son having seizures after two separate visits, the second one required him to be admitted to Rex. I switched offices and they claimed he was never a patient there and destroyed all of his records including his vaccine records.They lied repeatedly to our new physician stating we did not get any at that office and were never a patient. After two years of battling to no avail, I finally found all of his records I had kept along with all of the receipts from their office. They still claim we were never a patient there, but I have Rebecca Daumans signature on receipts, two years worth of documents along with his vaccine card.It’s illegal to destroy a patients medical records. After contacting other patients via negative reviews, I found they the same experience regarding records.If you care about your child’s health and future, find another care provider office.Thankfully our new physician has been excellent and trusted that we were honest about having the vaccines and prior health issues until I was able to sort through paperwork to find everything we needed and my son was and is able to get the care he needs.It’s a shame the state doesn’t actually enforce the laws that are in place for medical practitioner standards.

Melissa Mooty: Been going there for 18 years and the service gets worse and worse every time. It’s definitely the office staff and lead nurse. You complain, they let them go and hire a team more ratchet than the previous. I finally had enough.

Kyesha Jennings: We LOVEEEE Dr. Joyner! She is an HBCU graduate (which is a bonus fact for our family), she’s knowledgeable, personable, she’s also a mom to a young toddler—when I think about what I would want in a pediatrician, it is everything Dr. Joyner offers. My OBGYN recommened White Oaks Pediatrics to us, and it has been a joy. I also appreciate that if Dr. Joyner isn’t available the other doctors are equally amazing, of course not every doctor’s personality, manners or temperament may align with you and your partners, but we have thoroughly enjoyed the expertise and warmness of Dr. Daumen & Dr. Schmitt as well.

Kharyzma Brockington: Horrible…Dr.Anderson proceeded to attack me for not wanting to give my son certain vaccines and questioned me as a parent as well as my love for my child. She’s a terrible Doctor and should understand that she has ZERO control over how I choose to handle my sons medical care. She repeatedly asked me what is the reason and when I responded to her that it’s my personal preference her attitude changed and continued to verbally attack me and told me not to bring my child back. She shouldn’t be allowed to practice if she cannot respect peoples personal beliefs. I was extremely offended by her nasty remarks and poor behavior. I will never recommend this doctors office.

Jill C: We’ve been with this practice since 2013 and love them! I’ve never had a problem scheduling an appointment for any of my four kids (even last minute sick ones). They have weekend hours which is SO IMPORTANT! Also, the front desk staff is all brand new and they have been fantastic so far. The docs are personable and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

They are hands down some of the best medical professionals I've dealt with.The office manager, on the other hand, leaves a great deal to be desired. I have been trying to speak to him regarding a billing issue and lost check. I've left multiple voicemails to his personal line over several weeks and none have been returned. The front desk has given messages to him.The outsourced billing department is also a struggle to contact.I'm hoping writing this here will result in some action on the office manager's part.

I then told my son what the doctor was going to do since it was apparent he was going to proceed with out answering my sons question.-As we wrap up the visit Dr. Munt says that he highly recommends my son getting the COVID vaccination, him mentioning this is no issue with me and respect his recommendation. But He then proceeded to tell my 7 year old " you wouldn't want to get one of your grandparents sick would you?" and then says to me "children that contract COVID can have serious long term effects". My son has had COVID and I told him that in the visit... why would a medical professional say that in front of the child? Now my son keeps asking if that means he is going to get/ be sick forever from COVID! and asking questions about the vaccination and worrying that if he doesn't get it he will get his grandparents sick.-The visit ended with basically having to come back and paying for another visit on Monday for a potential cold/ sinus infection.Very disappointed with Dr. Munt... Dr. Joyner on the other hand is amazing... my 7 year old would consider her a friend and looks forward to seeing her. Erica Eason-Moncayo: I have had my daughter see Dr. Schmitt for about 5 years. Dr. Schmitt is absolutely wonderful. She is calm, caring and very personable. She has always given great advice in a very non judgmental way. The nurses have been very friendly and calm with my daughter when giving vaccinations. I have never had an issue with this office or my daughter's provider. I highly recommend Dr. Schmitt.

M: We love White Oak. It’s a smaller practice which means consistency in providers - they get to know you and your kids. Yet they still manage to have good availability for sick visits even on weekends. We have only seen dr Joyner and dr Anderson (the latter happened to be one of my pediatricians as a kid!) and highly recommend both and the practice.

C MO: Dr. Patel is a dedicated doctor (even if you may not be the patient). She noticed my thyroid was extremely swollen on a visit for my special needs child & suggested I go see a doctor ASAP. I'm so grateful to her suggestion because she was right.Her dedication knows no boundaries, you might even speak with her directly since she answers office calls too. Sadly, this location is understaffed due to covid & you may have a longer wait than normal. Rest assured, she is ABSOLUTELY WORTH the wait.Dr. Patel has been apart of my family for over 8 years now. We all look forward to a visit with her, even my older kids. We just love her.

Tim n Jaclyn Henderson: Cuando nos mudamos de otro estado, transfirieron nuestros registros de la oficina de nuestro último pediatra. A principios de este mes, tuvimos a nuestro tercer hijo, y cuando llamé para programar su cita de alta, nuevamente escuché el contestador automático (durante las horas de trabajo) y no me devolvieron la llamada hasta el final del día. En ese momento, decidí hacer una cita con otro pediatra y trasladar a mis hijos a otro lugar.La guinda del pastel es que mientras recojo los papeles para inscribir a mi hija en el jardín de infantes, llamo a la oficina y pregunto por las copias de sus registros de vacunas, y el personal de la oficina dice que puedo recogerlas. Así que envío a mi esposo (porque ahora tenemos un bebé de 5 días), y cuando se fue, dicen que no tienen ningún registro de vacunas además de la visita de bienestar que tuvimos allí para mi hijo. Le dije a mi esposo que les habíamos proporcionado todos sus registros de su pediatra anterior y que deberían haberlos ingresado en la base de datos. El personal de la oficina lo envía con una copia ilegible de las vacunas de nuestro antiguo pediatra.Llamé para quejarme y el personal de la oficina no fue profesional, tuvo una actitud y me dijo que le avisaría al gerente de la oficina QUIÉN TRABAJA DESDE CASA. Estuve esperando una llamada del gerente de la oficina toda la tarde y me enteré, ELLA ME ENVIÓ UN CORREO ELECTRÓNICO. Ella pidió una prueba de que había pagado, que tenía y proporcioné, y nunca se disculpó por las molestias/la confusión, etc. Solo envió un correo electrónico y nunca levantó el teléfono para llamar, lo que también es muy poco profesional para un Gerente de oficina.Voy la segunda vez a recoger los registros y descubro que nunca ingresaron la vacuna contra la gripe que mi hija recibió de ellos en octubre. Se lo señalo, nuevamente hay una actitud importante, la recepcionista le echa la culpa al gerente de la oficina y dice que no puede hacer nada. Así que dije que esperaría a que se corrigiera. Además, descubra que a mi hija le esperaban 2 inyecciones más en el momento de su visita de bienestar en octubre, y se las perdió por completo. ¿Cuál es el punto de transferir registros si nadie los está mirando? Para mí, esta es una combinación de personal de oficina poco profesional y falta de atención al cuidado del paciente.

Timothy Henderson: El Dr. Patel es un buen pediatra, sin embargo, el personal es horrible. El "Gerente de Oficina" trabaja desde casa. Ella no haría una llamada telefónica para discutir un problema. The wonderful doctors always give us the time to ask questions or go over things, and the staff is very accommodating. We never feel rushed, and scheduling is always an easy process.For the first time in 11 years, I forgot my daughter's appointment until 10 minutes before the scheduled time. I knew I would be late and called ahead to see if we could still be seen (for a well check) and the staff was not only very helpful, but we were in and out in less than 30 minutes once we arrived! This was a very uncommon thing for us, and no special treatment was expected, so receiving such great care and attention made it that much more appreciated!!!From Dr. Allen, then Dr. Baldwin, and now Dr Edralin as our main providers, we could not be more satisfied with the level of care our kids receive! We see the other physicians for sick visits and have nothing but praise to say about them as well.Thank you to all of the staff at the front desk and behind the scenes, and of course the doctors that all help this mama raise her household of four! I don't know what I'd do without such a great medical staff!

Margaret: After bringing my kids here for 10 years, I finally couldn't take the unprofessional office any longer. No matter which option you choose when you call, even if you have a sick child, you have to leave a message and then they will call you back except they hardly ever did--- billing, appts, nurse--- it doesn't matter. They seem to have an actual office policy of not answering the phone and forcing you to leave a message and then be called back at which point I would often be at work or could not take the call. You receive statements with absolutely no information on which child the statement is for and no explanation of any charges. The online payments is not any better as far as explanations go because you manually enter an amount and then just pay it....no statement, no portal login, nothing. Their billing and office practices got even worse after covid and were already behind the times, and I also ignored how condescending the front office lady was for literally years. We hung around for so long because we liked our doctor, but it's just such a poorly run place.

Dr. Murnane didn't question it and I'm so glad I switched...turns out my daughter has hip dysplasia. Mr. Murnane has been warm, friendly, gentle, and caring at every visit so far. In the 4 visits we've had, she's been attentive to my concerns and you can just tell that she "gets" babies. Would highly recommend.

However, I went in for hip/groin pain and Jessica Hedrick told me it was the way I was sitting or “manspreading” as she said. Turns out I have an impingement and possible torn labrum. So beware of her. John Meier though has always been incredibly thorough and puts emphasis on nutritional and overall health above treatment.

Stephen Godwin: While I was reasonably happy with my doctor, the people running this place don't care about the health of me as an individual. They still have a mask requirement and refused to allow me to be seen by the doctor if I chose not to wear a mask. This was a check up and I'm healthy with no Covid and no symptoms of any issue (thankfully). I was no risk to anyone for anything.The excuse given was that the requirement was based on CDC recommendations. When I inquired about a policy of mask requirement when the CDC only recommends them, they were unable to explain their policy using any sort of science or medical justification. Furthermore, the mask they hand out at the desk are the common surgical masks which are known not to prevent Covid transmission.I thought it was interesting to note that the other doctor offices in the same building seeing the same type of patients maintained the mask optional policy that most other providers have.it's sad that Covid and the response to Covid has broken so many in the medical profession and this outfit is one of the casualties. Needless to say that I will not be returning and I caution anyone about the type of treatment and advice you get as it may not be in your best interest.

Betty Berry: The first time I walked into the waiting room, spoke to the girls at the desk, waited to be called in, I was more than satisfied making the very long trip for my medical appointment! I have been going there for almost 2 years. My medical provider answered all of my questionsand was very respectful during my exams. Jennifer Myers: My doctor and the nurse/staff I have interacted with have been wonderful.BUTDo not expect to be able to reach them by phone. For days I have been trying to call to speak to someone, trying different times of day each time. And each time the call queue is in the double digits. Clearly the staff needs additional support with incoming calls. If the call volume is this high and wait times are this long management needs to consider other options such as an additional phone dedicated staff member or the use of a call center service. No one should spend the bulk of their work day a dozen calls deep, and as a customer the inability to reach someone during business hours is very inconvenient.

My daughter had a one year check up with Dr. Sarah Hughes and she is just the loveliest person. Dr. Hughes is so kind and patient with children and she always takes her time. They have a great web-based patient portal that allows you to communicate directly with your doctor, view lab results, easily request refills, and request appointments. I cannot say enough good things about everyone who works here. Everyone is so friendly and personable. They truly care about you not only as a patient but they also treat you like a friend. We are truly blessed to have found this practice.
