C B: The bathroom and changing areas for families are great. They are clean and pretty warm for an indoor pool. My kids loved the splash pad area and the toddler slide. I had a lot of fun in the vortex. A little pricey if you are not a Raleigh resident but still a good place to go

Lena Graham: Seems from the reviews on here that this place used to be run down. But our family went here today, and the grounds and facilities are well-kept. Lots of families here using the park. Even people grilling out at the Pavillion area. Splash pad was in working order and there were no issues with it ay all. Playground equipment all in good repair; nothing was broken. They keep the allowed capacity of the pool pretty low, so if you get in, it won’t feel crowded. On the flip side, be aware that you might not get in to the pool at all.

Stephanie Cook: When it is open it is awesome. Cheap and the kids had fun. But I tried to go today and it says open online so we walked with our five year old for almost two miles and when we got here it was closed for the rest of the summer. Not very happy. I really would appreciate it if they would uudate their site so this doesn't happen for other unhappy parents.

Thomas Lang: A gem of Durban’s recreation program. Great pool, very clean and never too busy. What more can you ask for? There are fitness groups and swimming lessons as well.

Leslie Fowler: Had a great first-time experience at the Edison Johnson Aquatics center today. I purchased a Durham Play More Card (free) and a 10-swim punch pass online from the parks & rec site. All the resources online recommended reserving a lane for lap swim, which I did. There weren't very many time slots available on the site but I found one for 3pm. I stopped by the day before my reservation to make sure I knew what to bring to check in and the person working the desk printed out a physical Play More card for me and confirmed that I had 10 swims loaded onto my account. She treated me very kindly. When I came in today, I let the person at check in know I had a reservation (also very warm and friendly), and a gentleman from the office called me over and let me know that reservations were no longer required (or even recommended, really), and that I could drop in to swim whenever was convenient. He pointed out the printed schedule and let me know about when the swim teams practice, etc. The locker room is your typical 70s/80s no-frills municipal facility but it was clean and had private changing areas, which I appreciate. The pool water was very warm and I was able to have a lane to myself. The lifeguards seemed very attentive - it was all adults in the pool but I could tell they take their job seriously. The pool seemed very clean. The acoustics are loud (as a lot of indoor lap pools are) with the high ceilings and ventilation running. I brought my own buoy and gloves, but they have buoys and kickboards available for lap swimmers. Looking forward to coming back soon at an earlier time so I don't have to rush back to work. One suggestion - if anybody reads these - it would be great to have a water extractor for wet swim suits, but I know they need special electrical hookups that might not work.

Sophie Dalpra: I have been going to this pool weekly for 1.5 years and the place is great. During the hardest parts of the COVID pandemic, the place was very careful and had really good rules in place, which made coming to the pool in the middle of a pandemic safe and possible. Since then, opening hours have increased, many classes have resumed. It’s a really great aquatic center and the best part is probably the staff who is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and caring.

Brantley Murphy: Not a bad place (facility wise). No food options in the convention center when I have attended. You have to go a good distance on the streets to find very much of anything. Streets in the area can be a little sketchy most any time of day.
Stephen Spencer: I hosted an event here and the experience was amazing. They have a loading dock that is able to accommodate a large box truck and freight elevators that open up to the convention rooms. The staff was extremely professional and helpful. I would definitely book this venue again.
