Rune: I've been to Ireland and went on a fish and chips tour of the country in search of fish and chips better than what I can get at pipers. Some come close but none did. The food here is great but do yourself a favor and get pipers fish and chipsBe sure to check what you ordered for take out because 100% of the time they will mess up your order. It's the price you'll have to pay for getting amazing food. I get take out from here a few times a month and they've never given me the correct order on the first try, always check your food inside of the place before you leave.Amazing food though, compliments to the chefs and the owners

Ran zid: A cosy break from huge chain restaurants and bars this makes you feel at home from the first minute , the staff are excellent in getting you what you need in a very welcoming way.It's also one of the very very few places in raleigh where you can get irish/english/European bacon (yes its different) so my personal favorites are any of the burgers and the full Irish breakfast.Parking is easy , disabled access is good and the drink selection is extensive to say the least, so definitely check this place out.

LeeAnn Howell: Had to come up to Raleigh so we searched for a nice lunch spot while we were here and this place was close by. They advertised “lunch special for 12.99” which included a sandwich,side, and bottled beverage. My husband got the lunch special and was charged 2.75 for his “included bottle beverage”. I asked for shredded cheese to sprinkle over my salad and was charged a $1. We had to ask for simple things that you should have while dining like a napkin and the waitress could not have been less enthused about her job. There’s much better places to try for the price we paid to eat here.

Our waitress kept checking with us if we needed anything, and even noticed we finished a shared appetizer, so she offered and brought out some Irish Soda bread to snack on while waiting for our meals. Very personable! We sat outside since it was nice and we got to visit with some longtime friends that we seldom see since they’re in NC and we’re in ID!

The best was a spontaneous group of musicians playing at a back table- traditional Irish reels.I could have been back in Killarney. Now my go to pub when I'm in town.

The waitress with the curly red hair just came out to my table outside where I’m dining with friends and said she would no longer be serving one of our friends because she didn’t tip. Of course everyone should tip but as a group of restaurant people we all tipped way over 20%(I myself tipped 50%) the fact that she had to audacity to say something to this girl in our group outwardly is one thing but the disrespect is so disgusting. Whoever this waitress is you are an honest disappointment to the service industry and a gross person. Something should be done about the unprofessionalism. Will not be attending again.

Anoche fuimos a un partido de fútbol y a una cena de aniversario anticipado y nuestro servidor fue absolutamente fenomenal. Ojalá pudiera recordar su nombre, pero ¡felicitaciones a ella! Katie Semanek: It is a great location and they have lots of options. I got the salmon BLT and the salmon was cold. It was a weird taste. 😕 the beers were delicious. My friend has the rueban and said it was chunky beef, which was also weird.
Kyle Fetaline: Great vibe on the rooftop bar and was mostly shaded at dinner time. Flies were expected, but the ant army was unwelcome. One of the servers clearly put their thumb in the coleslaw, leaving a smudge trail on the plate. Our waitress disappeared after confirming food was delivered, never to be seen again.Drinks were good and menu prices were quite reasonable. Everyone enjoyed their food. Despite the flaws, I’ll give it another try someday.

Stephanie Garehan: We sat in a booth beside the bar. Very nice atmosphere, server was friendly. We enjoyed our meals (fish-cod & chips, bangers & mash). The fish was awesome! I agree with another post saying slaw was meh, but I'll still order again. Hubby enjoyed the bangers (sausages) abd said the mashed potatoes were really good. Also came with delicious onion rings that I ate! Dipping trio appy was yum too!We dined on a Friday around 6pm before the rush. Perfect time for great service!

Ryan McGriff: Great location. Super cozy/classic UK pub vibes. Decent food. But service was extremely slow. After we got our drinks and food, we didn’t see another staff member till they brought the check. Could’ve really used some refills and additional drinks from the bar. The Bloody Mary w/ grilled cheese was huge; whole meal on its own. But it took like 15-20 min to receive it, so I can’t really say it was worth it.

Karen Dawkins: We had an unexpected free evening and went to the Hibernian for dinner. The upstairs patio (not sure if there is elevator access) was a lot of fun, though the music is loud. The Monday burger special is an incredible value and quite delicious. The fish and chips was as hoped for, a light beer batter over tender fish. Great fries. Coleslaw was “meh.” Great spot in Glenwood South!
dan smith: Nice Irish Pub with great service and good food. The upstairs balcony has a great view of Glenwood while you’re eating and drinking. They have a great selection of Irish whiskey, plenty of beers on tap, a good Rueben, and a giant serving of fish and chips. Pro-tip: If you don’t eat like a starved lumberjack, you can order the fish sandwich plain. It’s cheaper than the fish and chips and probably still more fish and fries most folks will eat.
