J S: Extreme caution recommended before considering doing business with these people. If something goes wrong, you might be out many thousands of dollars. They do not stand by their work or choice of products. They choose cheap poorly-made cabinets with a likely exponential mark up to unsuspecting customers. Please note I have removed the two owners' names because they have threatenedme via email for holding them accountable publicly.Please note: that they found a way to remove my third photo which shows chipping along the entire edge of a cabinet door. Also, the counter tops/backsplash are by a different company.It is reasonable to expect cabinets to last for longer than three months before they start to decay. Three months later and after light use, these cabinets are chipping everywhere -- in about 10 different places. The owners charged me $10,122 for them. Even if these only cost them only $400, this kind of rapid decay would be unacceptable. In comparison, my cheap $100 vanity from Lowes has no issues. I should have been concerned about the quality when the owner would not itemize the invoice.I informed them of the fast deterioration. They sent two guys over with white fill sticks to “resolve” the issue. These cabinets will continue to rapidly deteriorate and white fill sticks are not a solution.So far, they have asked to visit three times and I have accommodated them. During the last visit, both [the owner] and the manufacturer rep visited my home to inspect the cabinets. Both he and [the owner] l acknowledged the very clear issues and said they would resolve the problem.I waited patiently and when I didn’t hear back, I followed up with [the owner]. He decided to now proclaim that this might be “normal wear” or maybe I used them the wrong way. They have to further “investigate” he said.Translation = stall and hope that I will forget the $10,122.Since then I have heard nothing from them except from their social media person responding to this post with condescending instructions to be patient -- after I have waited for 6 weeks and have endured repeated visits, gaslighting and deflection from the two owners.I intend to hold them accountable. The only way to resolve this issue is with a full refund of the $10,122 so that I can install much higher quality cabinets.---Update 8/9/22The owners told me these are from Kitchen Cabinet Distributors.Rather, the cabinets GID sold me were from a company called Blue Valley Cabinets. Kim Bagaasen: We were completely happy with our experience with GID Renovation. Daniil and Oksana were both amazing to work with as well as all their employees that we interacted with. I was terrified of a full kitchen renovation after hearing horror stories from friends about their experience with other contractors. Oksana was amazing on the front end as we designed what we wanted and she could immediately show us changes as we discussed them. They gave us a start date and that was exactly when we started the project and their completion date was right on as well. There was a little mistake in where the sink was cut so she recut and replaced it so seemingly. We weren’t satisfied with the color of the stone so since she had to recut— she let us pick out a completely different stone color at no extra charge! While it might have been costly for her to do this you can tell customer satisfaction is her number 1 priority. This is why we will definitely go to her for any future renovations!

William Morando: Excellent work, quality cabinets and the guys are absolutely professional! From our first meeting with Ted to our installation with David and Jose, we had a great experience. We chose the J&K Dove White "E" line. Apparently this is the J&K budget line, but you would be hard pressed to find anything budget about them. They look beautiful and have a good solid feel to them. Any little adjustment that had to be done was done and made to look as if it was all there from the beginning. David wanted to take pics when he was done, but I wanted him to wait until the whole kitchen was done because it didn't do the cabinets a justice to not see them in a finished kitchen. Rest assured, we will have him come back when it is all done to take pictures to really show how nice these cabinets are. I would absolutely recommend them for your next cabinet job!

Tom Tudesco: The service, communications and timeliness was poor. I paid and ordered a high end Dishwasher and it took over two months for it to finally get installed in my home. When purchased, I was given dates it would be in and installed. I understand manufacturing and shipping delays, but was what entirely unacceptable was the total lack of communication and caring. If I did not call K&B Galleries, I never heard from them. I never received a proactive communication, and often never got called back when promised. I finally escalated the situation from my salesman (who was not proactively helpful or caring) to his boss, and never got a call back from the boss. Miraculously, the DW finally appeared after the escalation call. The installation was great...but it was done by an outside contractor and not K&B Galleries company/personnel. Stay away if your looking for great service and caring.

Anne Strickland: Visited the location off of Glenwood this past weekend and it was a terrible experience. The whole place has a very depressing and somber vibe (just look at the website and you'll see what I mean)... That said, the worst part was the "customer service" or lack there of... We walked around and stayed in the area looking at the granite options for about 20 minutes and had zero employees greet us, check on us or ask if we had any questions. Once we decided no one was interested in helping us, we decided to leave.As we were walking out we passed not one but TWO very miserable looking employees who clearly didn't want to be there and weren't helping other customers... just sitting at their desks texting and couldn't be bothered to say a word to us. Clearly they don't need any customers. It's actually pretty comical because as you read through other reviews you will find this has happened to so many other people so I wouldn't just chalk it up to "a bad day".We ended up going to a local competitor who provided us with a completely opposite (and amazing) experience as we finally put the finishing touches on our new home.

I only know this because Janley my sales rep told me they are not allowed to give an actual price to clients sent by contractors she had to verify I was independently buying and not sent by a contractor because the contractor sell it for the marked up price. I was supposably given contractor pricing on my floors but who knows. I was told my floors were in stock and would be delivered in 3 days. The day of delivery Janley called and said they were not coming and I needed to choose another floor.I was told that she would discount a floor if I chose the same brand many of which were also back ordered!!! Ironic. It’s been a week and I finally chose a floor I’m interested in. I called in today to get a quote and was told only Janley is allowed to help. Even the manager could not help. I’m stuck with no floors and my contractors already tore my floors out thinking the new ones would have been here a week ago. It’s a nightmare that ProSource is not trying to help correct. Any other place seems to know what is in stock or out of stock except pro source. I haven’t been able to get a quote for the new selection. I found a much nicer whole sale flooring company called verion floors in Raleigh. Alex was so kind and got me my quote and with a very fair price with in minutes. Janley has yet to respond to my request for a quote so I have now decided to just get a refund and take my money to a business that isn’t rude to their clients. Owen, John, and Janley need training on customer service. Janley is not responsive and the entire experience has been stressful and exhausting. I wanted to cry when I found out my floors are not available, I’m glad I found verion flooring. Now I am trying to get a refund for floors ProSource can’t provide but apparently I need to have Janley do it who isn’t responding… I should have listened to the other negative reviews!

Our ProSource salesman spent a lot of time with me showing floor samples next to counter and wall tile samples that I brought with me to match. We decided to save some money by picking up our own materials and were told to come by at anytime during business hours once alerted they came in. We drove 40 mins to arrive over an hour before close of business to be told that even though our materials where there, the warehouse manager was gone and we couldn’t pick up. We tried to contact our sales person to express our frustration and trouble and after two voicemails left on separate business days, we received no return call to address our concerns. The lack of communication and disregard for customer care once the bill is paid left a pretty bad taste in our mouth. We’d hesitate before recommending this place to anyone.

Their selection was incredible, not only for backsplash tiles, but also for countertops, cabinets, carpets- almost anything you could need for updating your home. ProSource was helpful, nice to work with, and had a wide selection of high quality products. Kristen Feldman: We had a wonderful experience with Heritage. This was our third and biggest remodeling project for our house (previously remodeled our bathrooms with 2 other contractors, neither of which we liked). We obtained quotes from 4 contractors because this was such a big project--we essentially remodeled our entire downstairs including moving a staircase. We chose Heritage because they offered the shortest time frame at a reasonable price. We moved into an apartment during the remodel so I can't comment on living through it, cleaning up at the end of the day, etc. Our time quote was 6 weeks and the project took 8 weeks--10 day delay due to an engineering issue with moving the stairs and 3 day delay for a hurricane. This was still less time than any other company had quoted us (12-16 weeks). We worked primarily with Matt Wallace, Devyn Read, Laura Lavigne and Melody Helms and all were very responsive and easy to work with. We had a few mishaps--for example, our garage fridge was unplugged and therefore our food spoiled, but Heritage reimbursed us well for the spoiled food and cleaned out the fridge. No project will be perfectly executed but I expect that any errors will be corrected and Heritage did just that. At the end, the quote and the final bill were the same (plus our choices that went over the estimate, all of which were itemized so we knew exactly what we spent.) We highly recommend Heritage and would use them again!
