That was the question I started to ask myself after tasting this food because I have heard that sometimes people lose their sense of smell and taste when they have covid. That's how bad this food was.I ordered it via Uber, and sitting in my hotel room, I was longing for just a packet of salt. Ironically, the packet of soy sauce that came with the sushi was low sodium.Speaking of the sushi, there were 4 option levels of spiciness on the "spicy" tuna roll. I chose the hottest. What they delivered would have been a good substitute for baby food. The wasabi, which could have fit in a thimble, had no flavor and no spice. I put it all on one pitiful piece of sushi and didn't know that it was even there.After this wholly unsatisfying meal, I went to brush my teeth before bed. The mint in the toothpaste was far more flavorful than the food, so I knew that I didn't have covid. All I had was a terrible meal and wasted money.My advice (particularly if you are sitting in a hotel room browsing the UberEats app: just close this window and return to the list of restaurants. Anything - and I mean anything - would be better.
Robert Van Hoof: Do not cut tiny pieces of zucchini, onion, and CABBAGE in a stir fry. They disintegrate and taste terrible. Also, chef clean your knife before cutting sushi.This is a poor excuse for hibachi created by people that obviously do not eat hibachi.

Arthur Zak: Nice food in a trendy setting. Came here for early dinner with my family and toddlers, and we were well accommodated. The setting, as expected, is probably meant for a young hip crowd but we did not feel out of place. The sushi was good (fried rolls, cucumber wrapped rolls, regular rolls), while some of the entrees were more hit or miss (General Tso's was done well, while the Ramen and the Dan Dan noodles were a tad underwhelming). Wish I had room for the fried ice cream! Overall a nice place for a sushi fix.

Moira: Very friendly staff, they all greet you as you walk in the door. Plenty of sushi options that were tasty and at fair prices for the size rolls you get. They also have a ton of Saki options that range from cheap to expensive. You mark what you want on a sheet that they hand to the sushi chef, which is the only thing I did not like. Seems very unsanitary with multiple hands touching the sheet and having touched the table and counters, and then looked like the chef handled it while making your roll. This system could use a more sanitary improvement. Tried the maple brown sugar "pancakes" and they lacked quite a bit in my book. Good flavor but was very small for the cost and from what I expected and have seen posted on Raleigh food sights. Only got one very thin pancake. Overall, would go back for the sushi and Saki if the ordering system were modified.Edit: Recently went back and the ordering system seemed to change. Orders were put in on the computer instead of handed to sushi chef by way of the aforementioned paper slip. Thank you!

Karmen Yang: On a rainy day on a Saturday, I arrived in the evening and got sat down pretty quickly after greeting one of the hosts at the front desk. The interior design is pretty decorative, extremely pretty, and well-detailed. I cannot stop looking around because of how pretty the restaurant is.I am satisfied with my food. I ordered a sushi and sashimi meal, the fish is pretty fresh and I am a big fan of eating raw fish. I personally rate the raw fish and I can tell that it is fresh. I also ordered an alcoholic drink, it is a Berry Mojito, it is really good and fruity. I'd definitely recommend it! We also ordered sushi rolls, Casa Casa Roll and Alaska Crab Roll, it tasted pretty okay. I really like the dessert, Brownie 'N' Ice Cream, it tasted so much better if you combine it together. The service is absolutely great, and both hostess and waitress are very attentive.Overall, the food is a bit pricy but that's okay, I still enjoyed eating there.

Kirstie Richardson: Our cook, Be (not sure how to spell his name) was really awesome and ws super accommodating for my 90 yr old Grandma. He also interacted with my 6 month old nephew and so my whole family had a really good time. Massive props for providing entertainment while cooking in the searing heat. Food was also very good and would definitely go back if we could get Be as our cook.
Celeste Brewster “Lola”: I came an hr prior to closing and my group were the only customers there. I went here based on the reviews. The sanitation grade was low (94) and I could tell why. There was a smell of sewage, that almost made me leave before being seated. Some plates needed extra cleaning. The service was great, from the host, cook, server, even the owner/manager came out the back to count the register and was also very friendly. Just need to be a bit more cleaner, that's all. They refused to refund me, insisting they were cooked rare and not sirloin. Steaks went to dogs, totally inedible, chewy. Horrible customer service, very unfair.

Geneva S: Requested a catering order of 10 rolls on a Tuesday to be completed Friday at 5pm for pickup and they accepted the order and then cancelled it Wednesday with no explanation. It's hard to take any business seriously that can't fulfill bigger orders. It was 10 rolls not 50, and they had plenty of time in advance to plan it. Maybe they decided to cancel my order because I didn't put an automatic tip on it, but I always tip to-go orders 20% in cash. Very off putting. Guess I'll cater elsewhere.
Kaly Wall: I ordered the fried pork gyoza and a s'mores waffle. The gyoza were delicious. Unfortunately, they gave me frozen waffles. When I asked if they were supposed to be frozen, they told me yes, they had just taken them out of the cooler.... I'm pretty sure they were supposed to be warmed or toasted. I had to take them back to my office and toast them because they were rock solid frozen.

TJ Styers: The tuna dumpling appetizer and Angry Dragon roll are two of my favorites! Tried over 12 different rolls and they're all pretty amazing. Service has always been top notch when I've visited but Liam is the man. The plating style and decorations add a little flare which brightens the overall experience. Full bar is always a plus but I like the Sho Chiku Bai Nigori Sake.

We ordered appetizers and one did not come til after dinner which was odd as we were never updated on that. The food was delicious though and we will most likely go back for take out. Ruth Fitzgerald: First time there. Excellent service. Food was good ( had sushi). Sat outside. They have ceiling fans outside if it is warm and a heater for cooler nights. Overlooks parked cars ( not their fault). Will definitely be going back again.
