Abby Fischman: I would give this shop a hundred stars if I could! As somebody who is pretty heavily tattooed- I have experienced several different types of shop atmospheres.. and I wish every tattoo shop offered what Bold House offers.. Soneja took me as a walk in- eager to work with my ideas and accommodate my requests-and very creatively covered part of an old tattoo (not done at Bold House). She also mapped out a very unique space on my arm to fill with a bada** piece of flash! I am so amazed by the crisp lines and saturation of color she has tattooed on me - she did a killer job. Not to mention the entire time - EVERYBODY who worked at the shop was extremely kind and pleasant to interact with. Edgar runs an absolutely amazing business and it shows he also maintains quality people among his choice of employees… 10/10 experience all the way around. Definitely come here to get tattooed!!!!!!!

Trinity: I got my tattoo here late last year. It is a very small sentence using typewrite font on my inner bicep. I must say, the longest part of the entire experience was just making sure the placement was right! After that, Mark went to work and he was done in under 45 minutes. He told me everything I needed to do, and my tattoo has healed beautifully. There has been no bleeding of the words (so far) and I highly recommend this place for whatever tattoo thought you might have! They do it all. Kate Silver: You would be surprised at how many piercing studios don’t know what they are doing, but Hillsborough tattoo and piercing is definitely not one of them. I have 8 ear piercings all from different places and this place is the only one that my piercings have healed correctly because they pierced them properly, used the right materials, and gave me the proper aftercare advice. If you want to successfully heal a piercing and get it done correctly, I would highly recommend Hillsborough. The people there are also really friendly (I’ve met some mean piercers in my life). Roselyne St. Phard: The bedside manner here is fantastic; the receptionists were clear about pricing and paperwork was quick and easy. I was able to text about pricing and ask questions before I came in. Even though we came in 10 mins after they opened, there was a group ahead of us. Our visit took about an hour and 45mins (mine for one piercing was an hour). Bear in mind they can’t give any estimates for how long the service will take so plan accordingly. My piercer Rikki was really kind, talked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable and involved. She asked me to come back for a follow up and recommended I wait another 6 months before changing jewelry. My roommates piercer Christian was equally kind and patient. We were both given complimentary nasal spray. My roommate did like 5 face piercings for 400 or so and my nose piercing ($80) and a jewelry replacement ($45) for my other nose piercing was $139. Definitely recommend.
