To which they said no, we can’t sell floor models.I’ve never met a store that doesn’t want to sell something to a customer, when it’s in the store and available, and the customers they’re wanting to pay for it. let alone a case where the stores on technology said the item was available for purchase, and a customer drove all the way there to go purchase it.I’m sure they get new inventory in all the time, and could simply set up a new floor model once a new item came in.The idea that they would not honor what’s in their App’s inventory that is made available to their customers to search and find is absolutely absurd. I was advised to call ahead in the future to make sure something is available. Well, I can understand the staff’s desire to try to help, and they were very polite, but something is very broken with either management at the store, or Ace Hardware’s corporate technology that they would allow a situation where it says something is in stock and available, it is available at the store, yet they aren’t allowed to actually sell it to a customer, money in hand ready to purchase.Unfortunately, thanks to this experience, I won’t be back to shop at this or any other Ace Hardware anytime soon.
