Excellent quality sushi. Ordered the big eye tuna roll and it was fantastic. Great experience sitting at the bar. This is hands down, my favorite Sushi restaurant in Wilmington. Love the atmosphere there, casual yet chic. The fish is definitely fresh and just deliciously crisp. Many people don’t even know this place exists due to its location so I am making it my mission to let all my friends know about The Bento Box.

I’ve tried every place in town and Bento Box is by far my favorite, it’s my go-to for a million reasons. The fish is SO fresh and everything is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great for everything from date night to dinner with the girls. Don’t waste your time trying the other places in town, this is it!

Chef Lee worked at The Breaker from 2001 to 2006, where he was the executive chef for their fine Asian restaurant, Echo. He was also responsible for the production of the sushi that went in to the catering events for the Breakers hotel, estimated at a half a million pieces of sushi a year. His greatest pleasure, however, is the time spent behind the sushi bar where he has the privilege of interacting with his guests to provide a unique experience that might not have even be comprised of items from his Wilmington sushi menu. Often times he creates dishes for the individual based on their personal tastes.

The name says it all! Savorez is our evolution of the Spanish word Sabores, meaning flavors. Sabores…Savor…Savorez! Here we are inspired by the vibrant flavors and colorful cuisine of Latin cultures. While sourcing locally and staying true to his North Carolinian roots, Chef Sam Cahoon has successfully honed his own style of cooking. His beautifully crafted cuisine is his southern take and tribute to Latin flavors.

Executive Chef & Owner Sam Cahoon is a true born-and-bred Wilmington native. He has spent the last 12 years working his way up through the ranks at several of the most successful and well known local restaurants, such as Dockside, Sweet N Savory, and the K38 restaurant group, while also graduating with honors from Cape Fear Community College’s Culinary Arts program.

He was most recently the Executive Chef at Ceviche’s, from November 2014 to October 2016, where he developed his signature style and dishes, such as the BLT arepas and Tiny Tuna Tostadas.

4worldlovers: As many of you know, we are temporarily closed for renovations that will help us prepare for the next chapter of Rx. We are so excited to finally share what that chapter entails. For starters, our new vision for Rx is a more casual and fun one! The new Rx menu will look different and we have a new name:

Some classic Rx menu items, like our chili cheeseburger and our pimento cheese appetizer will be daily menu items, and some other Rx favorites will appear here and there as specials. Most of you know by now we are farming our own oysters, called "Lucy Beas" and our own clams, and a major focus will be on local seafood. We're also going to highlight one of our all-time best sellers, our fried chicken, and you can always expect to see seasonal, organic vegetables from your favorite local farmers. We think there is something for everyone on our new menu and can’t wait to share it!

On June 29th we officially started our own oyster farm and put our first 120,000 baby oysters in the water! We’re calling our oysters “Lucy Beas,” named after our favorite salt water lovers: our pups. We’re farming oysters in Stump Sound and Topsail Sound and have loved watching our oysters grow up! We will continue to feature other farmed and wild caught oysters as well, but we’re excited to add our Lucy Beas to the lineup!

In addition to starting the oyster farm, we have also obtained our commercial fishing and dealer’s licenses for Rx, meaning we are officially able to serve you fish that we catch and spear ourselves! We are predominantly going after underutilized species and specifically targeting lionfish: an invasive but delicious species that are destroying our reefs and decimating our local fish populations, like grouper and snapper.

You’ll also continue to see other sustainably caught NC fish on our menu, whether it’s caught by us or other fishermen. We’re happy to be able to contribute to our environment and to NC fisheries in a positive way by targeting a truly tasty fish. Save our seas and protect our fisheries: eat lionfish!
