Did not disappoint. From the time you enter, you are greeted and welcomed. Then explained first time there was explained what they had. Each station on the line and grill was filled with a person that was very nice and listened to your needs.The portions was very filling. I was in the food business for over 25 years and the food was freshly made from vegetables, queso, guac and high end meats. Quality was spot on and flavor was very tasty!James the Assistant Manager is a great asset to the company. A true Customer Service driven Manager, willing to make absolutely sure your experience is a terrific one.Also the place was very clean. I was told the place had been open going on 2 years. Management is doing a great job. My Wife and I came in around 2pm on a Saturday. Which was a little slow but it was 2pm, but I noticed and took note when the employees were not filling orders they were cleaning. Without being asked too. The Telfairs: I really liked this place. Wanted to give a 5. But have a 4 and here is why.I ordered nachos, they were fully loaded and affordable but cold. Most places will send your nachos through a toaster oven to melt your cheese, here they rely on the hot cheese they put on top to melt shredded cheese but if you don’t get that cheese on top then your out of luck. And the toppings are cold or room temp at best so not much luck there to assist with melting your cheese which is the best part of the nacho.Other than that service was great, gets busy in the evenings after the swim class next door lets out so be mindfulKid-friendliness: Kids were everywhere so definitely kid friendly

Ben The Mechanic: I had to travel to cary for family ordeal. Met up here for lunch. About 7 of us ate around 1 pm. The waiter was a true pro. He did exceptional. After ordering the food came out in about 15 mins for all 7 people. Very quick. Everyone at the table made noises of sadisfaction while eating their meals. Offerald fitzgerald jr: I’ve been a customer since 2012 and the food has always been amazing. However recently they have decided to increase their menu prices, to an exorbitant amount. I blindly order shrimp fajitas one of my menu favorites, and an Arnold Palmer. My bill was 33 dollars and change!!!!!! Granted I did get extra shrimp, but to double the cost of your entree is a horrible decision. At any restaurant shrimp fajitas is never more than about 16 dollars, La Cocina should be no exception. This probably why the restaurant was so empty yesterday, cause it’s cheaper to go to a steakhouse. Lost a loyal customer and his family being greedy.

Food was yummy. Went for office dinner, so need to limit my drink. But it was one of the best pineapple margarita I had. They made the drink mix juice fresh. My co worker had orange frozen margarita, she loved it. Food was tasty, service was really quick. And I asked for a hot sauce, it was fiery hot. The decor with mask is really cool. Very authentic looking place. We went right after work, so it was easy to get seating. But if you and your friends are planning to go on weekdays call and make reservations. One time we tried without reservation, ended up at chipotle.

The food was also great- I wish the Totopos chilaquiles I got wasn’t sauced up so much because the chips lost their chip integrity but the sauce was really flavorful, creamy and even a bit sweet? I enjoyed it a lot. The enchiladas were cooked well and the sauce added a lot of flavor! Would come again.

Terri Parker: If you love authentic Mexican food this is the spot. Food tastes so good and flavorful. We had the puspusa, plantains, and tacos. You know you are in the right spot when the Verde sauce makes you want to dance as the flavors tickle your tongue with joy. Libby Biggs: Gonza in Cary is an enjoyable experience all around. The atmosphere is pleasant, the indoor-outdoor windows made it even better. Our server, Jack, took great care of us and the margarita he suggested was fantastic. The only negative was I ate too much!!

Doug C.: I get that blasting loud music probably helps move the customers along, but last night it was just *way* too loud. We started feeling bad for the employees who must having hearing damage... The food is usually ok, but I think we'll find somewhere else to go from now on that is a bit less deafening. Also maybe try not to give people with reservations the worst seats (directly in front of the kitchen where waiters constantly wheel carts past).

Vivian Foxglove: I can't believe I haven't rated this place! I love it! It's so tasty and consistent, and the tacos are really high quality! The decore is AWESOME and the lighting is nice and the desserts are FANTASTIC and oh my god this is the ONE redeeming restaurant that makes up for all the Garbo tier places in this town. I've been to EVERY Gonzo's location and they've all incredibly consistent between them food-wise, but I would say the decore here is particularly stand out (though they all have their own unique flair).PLEASE EAT HERE

Justin Sherrill: Bad manager, bad experience. Went tonight after enjoying many visits before. Food was very good, but the margarita tasted like passion fruit for some reason (bartender said it was there normal mix, okay that's fine, don't remember that before). Bill comes and our bill shows margaritas are more expensive than the menu. Ok sure, mistakes happen. I raise it to the waiter and he checks with the manager. The manager said prices are subject to change, and they couldn't do anything. They lost a customer over $1. It's not much, but the principal, your menus should be accurate and you should honor them. Food was really good and waiter was nice, I just don't understand the managers perspective.

Nevin Williams: In my opinion the food is average. Not great and not bad. For me it is the ingredients used. For example they use ground beef instead of beef chuck for some of their beef entrees. Spices used in dishes are above average and their salsa is above average. I do not like their tortilla chips.Not a bad place for a bite but I have other Mexican restaurants that I prefer over this one. Again, this is my personal taste. The food is not bad. Parking is a walk from the restaurant because it is tucked in a corner. They did a really great job making an outside eating area.
