Eric Bliss: Unpretentious. I had a momentary lapse of reason, but found the door. My initial reaction...omg...this is a dive bar...not the fine dining tapas I ecpected. I didn't walk out, and damn--thank God! The bartenders were all so very attentive, and knowledgeable about wine. The wine list by the glass is actually over-the-top broad: there are so many options available that I'd bring beginners here to learn about what they like. I sampled 4-5 drinking 3 and have to say the unoaked tempranillo was on point. The mussels (not on the menu but a $5 Friday special were spectacular and worth $20 easy...still salivating over them. I also tried the Korean style fried pork--very nice. Overall, I simply have to say the service and kitchen will not disappoint and will in fact surprise in the best way. Don't let your 1st impression inside dissuade--I love dive bars anyway, but this place is NOT a dive bar--it's swanky and serves quashable fine wine and cocktails and quite a list of beer (I finished w/ a Laphroag Old Fashioned) and service is impecable. Taylor and Liisa were so patient with me, a guy from Austin just trying to navigate Cary while watching over my sister's place. 5 stars.

Unfortunately, the food served was mediocre at best, failing to deliver the enticing flavors and quality I had hoped for.The unprofessional conduct of the staff only added to my disappointment. Upon being seated, the hostess brazenly burped out loud, showing no care or consideration for the patrons. Her lack of manners set a discouraging tone for the rest of the evening.Throughout our meal, the staff appeared disinterested and more focused on their personal conversations than providing attentive service. They congregated at the end of the bar, gossiping among themselves while neglecting the needs of the customers. It was disheartening to witness such unprofessional behavior.To make matters worse, as we were preparing to leave, our waiter haphazardly piled all the dishes together, resulting in a careless spillage of food. Some of the food landed on my shoes, leaving an unsightly mess and permanently ruining a cherished pair. This lack of attention to detail was truly disheartening.Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant was subpar. The dim lighting, coupled with an overall lack of cleanliness, created an uninviting and unappealing atmosphere. It was difficult to fully enjoy the dining experience when the surroundings were so poorly maintained.In conclusion, my visit to this so called tapas restaurant left me with a sense of disappointment. The underwhelming food, unprofessional staff, and unclean environment, coupled with the incident that ruined my shoes, all contributed to an experience that fell short of expectations. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this establishment to others seeking a pleasant dining experience.

Nehiel Ortiz Mercado: I had this place on my list for a while. Went with a friend and we were seated next to two women that I can only describe as “influencers”. During the entire meal these two were filming everything although I never saw then take a single bite of food the entire time. They just constantly took pics and videos using bright studio lights that shone directly in my face. Our young and under trained server never asked us if we wanted more drinks or anything else never refilled our water glasses, basically neglected our table for the most part and it seemed like we waited ages to even be able to ask for the bill all while having to endure the filming next to our table. I requested to speak to a manager to tell them that we didn’t have a great experience because of the filming and lack of service. The manager offered apologies and a 50 dollar voucher for the inconvenience. I had no intention of coming back but appreciated the gesture. We were about to leave when the Chef came of nowhere to ask us what the problem was. He first asked us what we did for a living and when he decided we were no one of relevance to him told us that there was nothing they could do about influencers cause that’s how things were nowadays. When I told him that as a paying customer I didn’t have to put up with filming especially if I had not consented to it, he again offered no apology and just said that’s how it is while smirking the entire time. When I asked him why he was even speaking to me since I hadn’t requested his presence and told him that the manager had handled the situation well without his intervention this narcissistic little man became furious and proceeded to snatch the voucher right out of the managers hand and tore it to pieces in front of me like a spoiled child. He humiliated his own staff and showed so much arrogance and condescension. Imagine if I had complained about the mediocre and overpriced food that took forever to come out of the kitchen would he have physically assaulted me? This egomaniac of a chef, if he can even be called that; does not respect customers or his own staff if I could give this place zero stars I would.

Andrew Meador: I was nervous when we went in on weekend brunch and I was told it was only the brunch menu until 4pm. I don't really like eggs or other breakfast foods. What I found was a true brunch offering of both breakfast and lunch foods...and it was all utterly incredible. My chicken al pastor gringas were flawlessly executed. The guacamole with crickets (yep, the insects) was surprisingly tasty, and paired well with the tacos. The Brussels sprouts are my new gold standard anywhere, as they were definitely cooked to remove the bitterness, but preserve the flavor. All in all an excellent place to eat.

Tashanda Smith-green: Listen, I was absolutely excited to take my family here. We arrived at 3:55 and our reservation was at 4:00. She gave me a brunch menu and I said “I thought dinner was at 4, that’s what our reservation is for”. She had a complete attitude and told us we had to wait until 4. Ok, we were seated and we ordered chips and salsa. My first mistake was thinking this was a Tex mex style restaurant and that it would be pick de gallo style salsa! Nope, it’s green salsa and some other salsa that tasted like baby food. I asked did they have regular red salsa and the server (Male Caucasian or Hispanic with black curly hair) rolled his eyes and said THIS IS SALSA. Whew, so I ordered dinner and asked could I get a side of rice and he said we don’t do that here, everything comes already fixed. Sooo are you saying it’s packaged and nothing is fresh??? He also mentioned the rice is made days prior, which was a complete taste bud killer! My meal had about 4 pieces of chicken with a pound of cheese, and my sisters fajita had pounds of peppers and barely any meat. She asked for NO SHRIMP and the waiter said ok. She receives her meal and THERE’S HUGE SHRIMP ON THE PLATE! She didn’t make a fuss but asked him why, and he again said, “It already comes like that so we can’t take out the shrimp”. At this point we were DONE! Our table stayed crowded with dishes until it was time to pay the check and let’s just say I will Not be returning anytime soon unless it’s just for a cute drink! I’m so disappointed!

Angelo DeVita: As usual Sassool's is excellent Mediterranean food period. A very broad selection of cold and hot items including grilled protein items I usually get the pick 4 and get four vegetables usually two hots and too colds plus pita bread. Can be busy at popular times but has indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend it if you like this style of food, it's the best in the triangle.

Just that they were out of pita breads, so little dissappointed with that, may be because doordash messed up delivery, so by the time I went they were out of it. They should have added in my pickup bag. I would definitely recommed to try over here, possible dine in, ambience is good.

Simeon Snow: This is a cozy Mediterranean food place with a lot of options on the menu. There was a small store like area in the beginning of the line followed by a line where you order food. The most common option is to choose from a list of sides to put on your plate with options for desserts near the end of the line. I came with a large group and our meals were all incredibly fresh and savory. Would definitely come here again!

Reginia: We came in with a very large party, having to be at two different large tables. Our server "Johnny" was genuinely hospitable. Friendly, attentive, smiled and made us feel welcome. He never seemed over whelmed or made us feel like an imposition or just another customer. VERY GOOD SERVICE!The only complaint about atmosphere was in was freezing inside to all of us. However as someone who works in a restaurant, I can understand as the servers get so hot. Food was great. Service was excellent!

Ted Aron: We used to eat here several times when they first opened. It was really nice back then. We were looking for some Mexican this past weekend and decided to try it again. It had been probably over 10 years since we had last been there.I realize getting good help these days is very difficult, but it took about 12 minutes for our waiter to arrive at our table. They were not crowded. Probably 1/3 of the tables were in use (not a good sign for 6:15pm on a Saturday). Ordered 2 premium margaritas. They were very heavy on the margarita mix.Our meals were so-so, but what really got me was the fresh diced tomatoes on my tostada included a diced tomato core... About 10% red tomato in this cube, 90% brown stem at the top of the tomato. I took a photo which I will attempt to post.As we were walking out we left a cash tip for the young male host who seated us. When he saw our waiter wasn't coming, he took our drink and food order and got it into the kitchen on our waiters behalf.Definitely won't be going back.

Mary Jones: Ordered from expensive Postmates delivery but only because I had a $10.00 coupon to absorb the extra $ they charge. I live 15 miles away AND the driver made another stop before mine and yet my food was still warm. This shows me the food was made fresh right before driver pick up. Got a Border sampler which had 3 of my favorites and a side of refried beans and Mexican rice which made the perfect meal. Also came with a BIG bag of chips and LOTS of salsa. Sopapilla didn't travel well and was greasy and soggy but with the chocolate dipping sauce made it worth while and still delicious! This great experience shows me a managemnt team that cares about what they serve their guests and train their employees to do the same. In these times this is HUGE in building sales and a loyal fan base. COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE 5/10/2023 Another excellent experience!! Ordered beef taco and chicken fajita nachos and both were amazing!! All special instructions followed and paid a reasonable price for my food!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Jonathan Newburg: I will be more careful ordering online for pickup since I had a pretty bad experience.I recently placed an order online. It was 2 entrees I ordered. Order placed, credit card charged, ETA of order getting ready. Great!I arrived at the location to confirm I arrived. I wouldn't get upset if it wasn't ready since I understand it will take a while longer due to short staff, busy hour, etc. The employee confirmed the order and checked for an update. The employee came back telling me someone canceled my order and there was nothing that can be done. I was surprised. I never had someone deciding to cancel my order like that. I went back to the order status online. It was still showing it was received.Since someone confirmed the order was canceled, I submitted feedback online to request a refund. No response back for over 3 days and my credit card was fully charged.I'm dissapointed how the whole process turned out. I will reconsider ordering from somewhere else. They do not have a good process in ordering online and cannot cancel the order if something went wrong. I hope someone from management can look into this to avoid another situation like this from happening again.
