J. Cooper: I rented a Chevrolet Colorado and when I picked the vehicle up, it was covered in dog hair and had trash in the bed of the truck. I had to bring the vehicle home and vacuum it out because I picked it up after hours. When I returned the vehicle a few days later, the manager was very apologetic, and he did give me credit for the difference that I paid for the upgrade not paid by my insurance company.

On pick up date, enterprise office confirmed car in selected category is ready for pick up, when I arrived to pick up the car it was not available and I got lower category car. 1st car was dirty inside, stains on seats and with smoke odor. I asked for replacement, offered car was as well dirty inside, kind like dog hair all over seats. I refused the car, I was offered another replacement. This one had malfunctioning air conditioning, blowing hot air when AC was on. I returned it after 2 days. I gor another replacement, car was OK but higher category than ordered (higher day rate), so when my category was available they switched it for me. After using the car for 3 weeks, I was warned by law enforcement officer the license plates expired 06/22!!!!! It is 04/23....I had to find the nearest Enterprise office where they switched cars again, but referred me to this Enterprise office in Cary for further actions. Last one was very bad experience for me and whole family. 1 star bcs new manager (Ryan) offered free upgrade, we havent used it yet since no suitable car has been available.
Annie Schneider: Definitely don't rent a car from this company! We booked online at a very good price. When we wanted to pick up the car, we didn't get it. The manager's cheeky explanation was: they only rent to US citizens. Our reservation was canceled and we were sent to the airport to the other Rent A Car locations. We got stuck with the expensive taxi fares and all the hustle and bustle. In the end, we got our rental car from AVIS without any problems. However, not at the good price of an online booking. No more Enterprise, neither in America nor in any other country! This company doesn't even deserve 1 star!

Because we haten in the hotel and drove back to get in, we were suddenly told we couldn't get a car because we weren't US citizens. The booking was correct but there are no cars for foreigners. A cheek beyond compare. Enterpreis no more.We had booked an offer that was too cheap that they didn't want it.1 star is still too much!!!!!

So this Enterprise location had a partnership with that collision center.Once I dropped my car off at the collision center, a kind rep from this Enterprise location was already at the site and introduced me to a very comfortable 2021 Subaru Forester.The experience was great, and my conversations with Emily and Jacob were always wonderful. This location is flawless when it comes to top tier customer service.While my rental was covered through insurance, I would highly recommend renting from here if the price is within your budget.

You over charged me because the vehicle I had reserved and had paid for ahead of time was not available in Raleigh NC when I arrived to pick up the car. Your staff in Raleigh was unorganized and it took 45 minutes to get the car only to go outside in the rain and find that the car assigned to me was also not there. You upgraded me to an SUV instead of the full-sized car that I had reserved and then charged me extra for that upgrade that was your company's fault in the first place. I WILL NEVER RENT ANOTHER CAR OR RECCOMEND ANYONE ELSE TO RENT ANOTHER CAR FROM PAYLESS AGAIN!

Got up Saturday morning to warm car to attend business meeting. Could not enter the car, the doors would not open. The battery on the remote was completely dead leaving me stranded. Called road side assistance and was told I didn't purchase that service. I didn't feel the need to because I have. After I explained the issue the tech put me on hold and came back to tell me how to pop the door handle and gain access. Well, late to business meeting a complete hour. Not able to switch cars because there is no Payless in the area. Don't rent from them. I am waiting to see how this is handled. Glad my boss knows my punctuality and I was able to attend. They suck because they do not service the cars. Oh and the inspection was expired. Really.....

There was no agent for Payless but Avis and Budget (if I’m not mistaken) we’re at same counter and was trained to do each other system. And I was over charged for late fee and I was not late. Alysha Khan: My only reason for giving 3 out of 5 stars was the wait time. It was absolutely ridiculous to wait 2 hours just to get to the front. There is NO reason why Avis, Budget & Payless would ONLY have 3-4 people , sometimes even 2 people at a desk for THREE rental companies. I felt so terrible for the employees, because that’s just stressful. When we got there the line was out the door, but when we left the line was wrapped around the building. I know it was a “busy” weekend, but it is the companies responsibility to prepare for that. The employees worked as fast as they could, they were kind, and they worked well under pressure. When we finally got the car, it was clean on the inside and outside. There were no extra charges, we return the car with a full tank, it did well on gas. We stayed within half hour of the airport, but we used it to get around for three days. The price in the car or well worth it, but the wait time was ridiculous. The drop off was easy as they can be. They weren’t very clear on what to do, but we figured it out as we were returning the car very early in the morning.

Mitchell Madrid: I am submitting this customer service feedback in regards to a June 30th, 2023 experience at the Raleigh-Durham Airport Avis facility.The Avis staff were amazing and the best I have ever experienced or the worst I have ever encountered.The shuttle drivers and lot attendants wearing the orange vests were amazing. They were engaging, polite and extremely friendly and genuinely helpful.The Avis agents located in the main building and the agents located at the preferred customer booth out in the parking lot and the agent located as you exit the lot were uninterested, short, poorly trained, condescending and just overall rude.One of the vehicles assigined to me was so disgustingly and unacceptable. It was appalling. The floormat had what appeared to be blood. The seats were stained and bleached with some type of solvent. One vehicle had numerous coffee stains and spills, a cracked windshield and the video screen looked like it had been washed with soap and no water.It took four attempts to get a clean vehicle that I had already reserved in advance. Finally I approached a gentleman who appeared to be a manager (his name was Garrick or Garrett). I explained to him the entire situation. His customer service skills were great. He listened to what I had to say. He apologized and explained to me the app was not functioning properly for their facility. He personally retrieved me a vehicle. This gentleman listened to my issue and was able to resolve it with quickly. He apologized for all of the inconveniences in obtaining the vehicle.The entire process to pick up a reserved vehicle took about two hours in total!Facility has some serious customer service and cleanliness issues they need to address.I was extremely disappointed with this facility. Our company rents so many vehicles with Avis worldwide. I contemplated contacting our corporate travel directors but decided not to based on this one experience at this one location and also based on the interaction I had with the drivers and the lot attendants and the one manager who was able to solve the entire issue.
Karen Hall: I arrived in on a late flight. Check in wasn’t bad. But the car that I prepaid for was horrible. I received a Honda Accord that sounded like a tractor. The maintenance light was on. I tried to turn it back in the next day but the line was so long I can’t wait because I was attending a wedding and time didn’t permit the long libe they had. As I traveled the low tire pressure light come on.I was nervous and decided to park the car and asked someone to meet me so I could ride with them , whoch was such an inconvenience now I am stuck with someone else on their time. Very disappointed about every dollar that I gave away. Please remove cars out of rotation that needs maintenance.

I am in the military and was going for a job interview at fort liberty a random security check would’ve ended my career. Chris McDonald: First experience renting through Avis, prior had always used National. Tried to save a few bucks, but wasn't worth it in the long haul. The experienced started off terribly, with an over 45 min wait to get my pre-paid rental car after 9pm at night. To be clear I pre-paid Avis for the rental car and provided all of my pre-authorization info such as my license #, etc., but still had to go through the whole line to check in. There was no real point to the pre-paid, pre-verify your information process on the Avis website. The rental car wasn't in great shape, it had a warning message the whole ride it needed an oil change. When we got into the car there was trash in it, including empty cans, either from the previous renters or the Avis employees. The car was so old my wife during the trip said she thought rental car companies sold the cars before they got this old. We had the rental car for 4 days , for a cost of $170. Unfortunately, our flight home was cancelled and we needed to extend our trip 1 additional day and return the car to a different airport. When I went online to extend it was going to cost me an additional $170. Same price for 1 day as for 4 days?? I looked online that I could return my current rental and re-rent the same car type at the nearest Avis for roughly half of that. I called up an Avis representative, explained the situation and at the time I thought they helped me. I was told I could keep the currently rental, extend my trip and return it at the new location for just $70 additional. That was until I actually returned my car and was handed the receipt, which was basically the $170 additional dollars. So basically, I was lied to by the Avis representative, so the company made more money.

Theodore Taylor: Do yourself a favor and pay extra to rent from any place but budget, avis or pay less. They are all crammed inside a small office and I'm current inline and it's taking forever. There are probably twenty people in front of me and the line has not moved and they still use dot matrix printers. Not sure if people here are renting a car or getting a loan. This is the second time I've used them and I won't again. The last time they gave me a car with slicks on the front but I always do an inspection even if they don't do I returned it. Again pay the extra and avoid this place.
