Igor Touzov: I recently attempted to schedule an appointment with JD Floor & Cabinet to get a quote for replacing my hardwood floor. Unfortunately, the store representative I spoke with, John, seemed more interested in selling me other products than in scheduling a simple appointment. Despite my repeated requests to simply set up a time for an appointment, John kept trying to persuade me to visit the store in person to see their variety of choices. I found this behavior very frustrating and ultimately disconnected the call without securing an appointment. Based on my experience, I have serious concerns about JD Floor & Cabinet's ability to resolve more complicated issues such as warranty claims or complaints. Their lack of responsiveness and focus on upselling rather than meeting customer needs is a major red flag, and I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable, professional service for their hardwood flooring needs.

Ashley Popio: When we went looking for a carpet installation specialist online, we had already had one disappointment. We had carefully selected a carpet at Lowe’s and had gone through their entire ordering and estimation process, a process that cost us $40 before any carpet was ever laid. Lowe’s waited until after we had paid before informing us that not only did our excellent-condition hardwood floors HAVE to be ripped up before we laid carpet on them, but additionally, that “service” would cost us an extra $700. They assured us that this was “necessary,” an “industry standard,” and that without agreeing to it, we would void our carpet’s warranty and Lowe’s would be unwilling to proceed.We were appalled by this. The hardwoods throughout our home are original, meaning they were almost 50 years old, and still in great shape. WE want carpet, but what about if we ever sold the house? The new owners might want hardwoods throughout, and what a hellish nightmare they would go through trying to match 50-year-old flooring if we carelessly tore out one room’s floors. We knew that the unnecessary destruction of original hardwood was basically a sin against the home renovation gods. When we protested, Lowe’s told us that we could try to find an independent contractor who would agree to help us, and this is where Marty and his team enter our story.Marty answered my online inquiry by telephone within 20 minutes. He answered all my questions personally and made an appointment to assess my space THAT WEEK. He showed up for this appointment on time, told us that installing carpet over hardwood would be no trouble at all, and then made another appointment so that we could select the carpet of our choice. After selection, our carpet was installed within the month.Marty’s prices were reasonable, his employees were respectful, knowledgeable, and swift, and we are totally satisfied with our final results. We would particularly like to thank Rick (who was in charge of installation) for his efficient and beautiful work.I know I’m just one more voice added to the chorus of people singing Marty’s praises, but the choir is right! Marty and his team are the best, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.
