thomas mann: My Dell XPS-8950 was having issues with secure booting and locking up. They had it 5 days, running all kinds of diagnostic test. Got it back today and seems to be running great. Five days and a new 1TB SSD for only $300. Way better then the customer service from Dell.
Blair Tanner: This is my first experience with Triangle PC Geek Computers and it was exceptional. My old laptop died unexpectedly and I needed a replacement within two days to run my digital sound mixer. Alfredo, who is either the manager or owner, went out of his way to bring out a stack of touch screen notebooks from the service area and assisted me in choosing the one that was best for my application. By 2 pm the next day the notebook was upgraded to more RAM, a new SSD was installed, the computer was cleaned, fully tested and ready for pickup. I am very happy!

I drove from Knightdale to this one, it really is the best in the area. Staff is very helpful and honest, with great opinions and recommendations. I’ve found that in addition to the invaluable insight, they have genuine interest in what I’m building or designing.They’ve also helped to correct issues from other stores, whether it be issues with pickups or orders, or other stores not honoring policies (return, protection plans, etc).

Sydney Golden: Went to geek squad to get my iPhone 13 Pro battery replaced which was quoted at $89. I’ve literally had this phone for just over a year and the battery is defective. I got there and I have a small crack in my phone and he tells me that I have would have to pay almost $450 for the crack and battery because they can’t work on iPhones without fixing everything that’s wrong with them. Then when I asked if they really can’t just fix my battery the guy says “well we could - we’re just not supposed to” and then doesn’t offer to help at all. Giant waste of time.

Kaycee Thompson: I’ve been coming here since 2015 for all my electronic needs. The last few years, maybe due to the pandemic, I started shopping online instead. The only thing they offer better than other stores is hands on tech support. If you buy the geek squad protection for your device and it breaks beyond repair, they’ll give you a new one. In 2015 they were open until 10pm and now they close at 8 making it nearly impossible to get off work, make dinner and still have time to make a run there if I needed to. I went there yesterday for the first time in about 6 months and the customer service was subpar at best. I brought my iPad in with the intentions of deciding which keyboard case I wanted for it. It was between two expensive brands and I wanted an expert opinion. When looking at the cases, the security alarm went off which attracted someone I could ask for input from. The employee stood by me as I compared the cases and I asked her questions about them but she didn’t know the answers. I had already done some research online so the knowledge I came with is the knowledge I left with. I did see a streaming microphone that caught my eye, so I thought I should go check the selection of those. There was only one to choose from, but 2 colors. Next time I’ll just buy what I need from Amazon instead of wasting my time and gas to go to this store where nobody knows anything and the selection is sparse. Very disappointed.

John Demers: Words really don’t describe the level of service you get when you go to Absolute Compiter‘s! I’ve been going there over the years I’ve known Phil the owner for well over a decade, and they always do amazing work, and are very good at follow-through and communication on the status of the job that is there getting done for you and your computer or tech. Several times over the years I’ve bought used computers from him for friends for nonprofit organizations that needed a laptop, or just a laptop I can take with me on the trips I take.I just left the shop having picked up a repair and a purchase of a used computer and Josh another individual. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for the last several years was there to cheerfully tell me what he had done and help me pack the car and get on my way whenever I need anything done with computers or text. I make sure I give Phil and Josh a call and have them take care of it .
Robert Benson: Call for appointment, recommended.Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.Have used this facility for several years, no longer considering anyone else for my computer needs.
Wayne Koluch: I've used AC before and have always had excellent service and results. AC diagnosed my recent problem as a bad hard drive and recommended I check to see if it was still under warranty. It was and the problem has been repaired. My experience was great and I recommend AC to anyone who needs their computer repaired.
Hemanth Sathavalli: My experience is really very bad, initially he said the charging port is not working and charged $120 to install an after market charging port which worked only for a day after I took it home and when I took it back he says the problem is with the laptop charge itself and suggested me to buy a charger from ebay for $22. I understand he has to isolate the problem by trying different options, but he could have chosen the cheaper option first and see if that resolved the issue.

Brad Langer: Here's the problem. Most of these reviews are old. This is an experience from Oct 2022.I was going to go to Interex to build a computer, a tower. Cost wasn't an issue, I just wanted it to be newer, faster and better than what I had which was a decade old. At the last moment, the owner, Phil, told me that his guy, Josh, would configure and even build the machine if I wanted. Time was $75/hr. They would charge me a half hour to configure and 1 to 1.5 hours to build. I said okay.I brought my old tower to show them what I had and Josh told me that they would build a new machine and use my old graphics card which supported the two monitors I currently used. I agreed.A week later the parts came in and I called. Phil, the owner, was cold, but told me Josh would be in on Tuesday and to bring it all over. I did. I got there at 3, via appointment. Josh still had clients coming in and phones to answer even though Phil was sort of begrudgingly helping out. In between customers, Josh built the machine. By 5:30, they were closing and I needed to leave as well.Finally they told me we were done and the quote for 1-1.5 hours was now 2. I paid and brought the machine home.When I hooked it up, I had no internet. They had forgotten to put in the drivers so that I could continue the setup. And, I only had the means to hook up one of my two monitors. My graphics card was "incompatible" with the board that they had selected even though I had not limited then to the selection and money was not an issue. Secondly, this new board did not accommodate two monitors without a special DP cable.The next day I went back to have them put in the drivers, give me the cable and finish the job that they started. They finally did, with no apology, in fact, more annoyed that I was back again. But they still charged me an additional $81.So in all, I spent almost $283 to have a computer configured and built INCORRECTLY. This is after spending nearly $1000 in parts.I was told that the shop is a pet project for the owner so his investment in customers is completely subjective. I was fooled. Don't be like me. In case something goes wrong, you have no recourse. I don't think the owner even really cares about bad reviews. Let the buyer beware. I just wanted everybody to know.Subsequent to posting my first review I was contacted by the owner who apologized for being oblivious to the situation as it was occurring and offered to refund me completely for anything I thought he did incorrectly.Several phone calls and emails later where the subject often broached was whether or not I would remove the review, I asked the Attorney General's office in North Carolina whether the proper protocol in this case would be to remove the first review or amend it with the subsequent facts. I was instructed that the proper protocol would be to amend it and let the people of North Carolina make their own decision with all of the facts. That seems reasonable.Since the reason reviews exist is to praise businesses that go above and beyond and to hold people accountable when their actions demand that they should be, the first review is still up.The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Caveat Emptor.

I called about a repair need, and was told about Apple's Keyboard Replacement Program, which replaces your keyboard for free if it's a listed model (which mine is). They didn't have to tell me that, and it certainly doesn't bring them money. I had called ComputerGuru4u and that guy just said it would be like $450+! Should I need repairs, I will be going to Absolute Computers!
Ravi Intranet: This place is a very. Good place. Josh is very brilliant and solved my problem in 2 minutes instead of best buys 2 day turn around time. If anyone tries to look at a problem instantly on the spot my advice is do not entertain such businesses. Josh listened to my problem and instantly solved it. I am a computer professional who built computers in the good old days. Those were the days of goodwill and instant solutions which I found today in “Absolute Computers”

Luke Ramsey: I took my home gaming rig to absolute computers when I installed a new component and my pc started running really slowly and lagging. Josh asked me a couple of questions and diagnosed my problem after a super fast stress test. He showed me the parts I would need, but since they didn't have them in stock at that moment he suggested a couple options on Amazon. I left without paying a cent, went home, and did what he said. The issue was immediately resolved! I was hesitant to take my prized pc to any tech support business, but Absolute computers is now my go to place for pc help. Thanks Josh!

Nick de Silvia: This is the 2nd time they have helped me out. The 1st time was with a 4 year old laptop that crashed on me 2+ yrs ago and they were able to salvage so I could pull out all my files (and which still works today btw!!..... it's just slow and outdated). So when my new laptop was having wireless driver issues I headed back there. They had since moved from the shopping complex where they had been to a house on Holt Rd, and I am just as pleased as my 1st visit. Gave me good options of things to try and luckily problem was resolved on 1st try. Would def recommend coming back here when needed for any computer issues. Thanks for being there.

Kayre Paire: Super great service! Finished my device earlier than expected. A lot of these reviews are nitpicky as if all things are unavoidable. Dust? It exists. This isn't the Apple store. Can't fix your device? Yeah, they're not miracle makers but they sure did make a miracle for me! Will definitely come back.

And after two weeks when I collected my laptop it was covered with saw dust.One thing is certain that I will never approach them for any issue.

I was told 3-5 days with a estimated day of Friday, but they got really busy so you can't blame them. I couldn't pick it up until Sunday. I also didn't schedule an appointment so maybe that contributed. They did a GREAT job and offered a FANTASTIC deal for the repairs!
Justin Reehl: I took my ipad to have the screen replaced (broken). When i went to pick it up there was a significant mount of debris (larger than dust, it was actual dirt) between the glass they replaced and the lcd screen. I notified the cashier and he agreed it was not acceptable and took it back to remove and clean the screen. I went to pick it up for the second time today and although it was better there was still some dust behind the glass and some kind of smudge in the upper right corner behind the glass. I accepted the repair because I just need the device back, but I won’t be bringing my repairs there in the future. The store is super dirty in the front, looks like the floor has never been swept. I guess the back work area isn’t any better and quality control is apparently non-existent as the debris was super obvious the first time and they just handed it to me like it was perfect. I can't recommend this shop.Oh and the "feedback" link they sent over text doesn't work. "there was an error" it says.
Jaime Pedraza: I'd give them 1 star, but they were always nice, although, unfortunately incompetent.Took my Pixel 4 phone in for a battery change which they did, but cracked the screen in the process because they tried to open the phone the wrong way (first red flag). They replaced the screen, but in the process, somehow managed to break the NFC hardware (second red flag). They replaced it, but then it never really worked well again and you would have to squeeze the phone to make the NFC work. They did not seal the phone properly, which I pointed out from the beginning but they told me it was fine....well it wasn't and shortly after, the back of the phone continued to detach and open (third red flag). I took it in again and they replaced the seal and glued it once more. Still did not seal it well and BONUS: now the phone doesn't connect to cellular network at all...ever. They offered to "open it up again and try to fix it" although "it is an old phone" and said I could drop it off, but can't give me a loaner because "it is not under warranty"... Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place: do I take it back to them to try to fix it and pray they don't break anything else in the process or do I take it elsewhere and pay out of pocket for the damage they've caused?Prior to this, my phone was in perfect working order, excellent cosmetic and functional condition, not even a scratch. With the exception of a quickly draining battery. Wish I'd never taken it here. Now: it doesn't connect to cellular network, is not properly sealed/glued (it is visible and palpable) AND have to squeeze it every time I need to use the NFC. My phone may be "old" but I challenge any of the employees to find a phone of the same age as mine in better or at least same condition as mine was prior to them wrecking it.This place should not be a "Google authorized device repair center" period, end of story.

Not the solution I was expecting; however, it was the best one considering the laptop's age (7 years old).Nuisance: To our dismay, I had more data than I realized. The commitment took longer than planned. I had overdue homework to grade. And… Nick pressed on.Delivery: He patiently worked through my issues for about three days straight (committed to getting me off of his to-do list) to deliver my data on an excellent external hard drive, a cleaned laptop (I could donate or keep it for a paperweight), + a TON of advice (actually fricking great advice!).Take Away: Nick + his passion for the craft, + his professionalism deserves all five stars. Tom Green: I've been having issues with my laptop keyboard. First the "x" key stopped working. I can work around that. But in the last week, the "r" key started having issues. I use that key a LOT more! Called Nick to see what he might be able to do. He confirmed what another friend had said - this would be a VERY costly repair due to the construction of the laptop, and he suggested I purchase a USB keyboard replacement. Nick was upfront with me and his advice was something that would save me hundreds of dollars, even though it wouldn't produce any profit for him. That's a classy guy. Thanks Nick!

Sawyer: So so so nice and helpful. Could have told me just to get my computer fixed and taken my money but instead talked me through what the repair would entail and encouraged me to get another laptop for the time being because the repair would have cost a lot and would have taken a long time. Was still willing to do the repair job if I wanted it, but didn't pressure me or try to talk me into doing something that would cost a ton. I will for sure be calling back if something else breaks.

Junkyard Joe: I didn't make an appointment because my computer's issues are more trouble to repair than they're worth, instead he gave me advice on how i could cheap and easily fix the issue with a new keyboard, didn't make any money from it but he was very helpful. Least I can do is say that he cares about helping people with computers and is good at it. Modern computers are built to fail.
