Andy Mesa: Do not do business with Darryl unless you enjoy being defrauded, please heed the warnings of everyone writing reviews here.In Feb 2022 I paid Darryl $1700 (including a $300 refundable core deposit) for a rebuilt 22RE that I desperately needed for my motorhome. We picked a day for it to be delivered, and I drove up to NC to have it installed. I paid for two days at a hotel while I waited for Darryl to show up. After many assurances he would arrive on time, he ended up arriving a day late, costing both me and my mechanic money. Darryl refused to take my core when he arrived and did not give me my $300 deposit back, saying he had to inspect it first.After the new motor was installed, it immediately started consuming massive amounts of oil. I was assured by Darryl that the rings just hadn't seated, and I made sure to follow proper break in procedures. I proceeded to drive the motor 6000 miles back home, and it proceeded to consume a quart of oil every 100 or so miles. At first Darryl agreed to send replacement rings, which he never did, and then offered to send me my old engine, which after months of back and forth he never did.He kept stringing me along saying this or that part needed to arrive, and that the address I gave him wasn't valid (I gave him several different valid addresses). Finally, months after I had quit my job and driven hundreds of miles back to my mechanic to get the second motor installed, he said the motor wasn't coming.He then said my deposit was "in the mail" but after months of waiting it too never arrived. So now I have a faulty engine and I'm out $2800 (with labor costs) and much more when you include gas and time.I can only conclude from this and the many other reviews here that Darryl is a fraud. Deal with him at your own risk.

Then to top it off a nosy office manager to the storage buildings came out and harassed me. I’m a man of faith and believe I was saved from an even worst situation at the end of the day.

Ramon Morel: The ECM Exchany..Thieves Scammers using different name to hide I bought an ECM for a cat 6NZ, first time they send the computer with the wrong programming, unable to communicate with the truck, after I sent it back when they sent it (programmed) for my truck on the first run it lost communication again…cost me 2 tow trucks and a road service a total of $20000 plus the extra downtime…. Than when ask for a reimbursement they kept $1000 out of the $2500 that they charged me for a faulty ECM…. But it's ok my attorney will be in touch with this scammers…. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PEOPLE! Ooooh by the way I'm Ramon from RBM Truck-Kings.
Jade Chiles: Should have read the reviews before but they cover up using a different name, long story short they sent us a pos ECM came not working, now they told us to send back ours with theirs & they stole ours saying we need to pay them another $600 for them to send us ours back. We have been trying to get ahold of them and they do not answer the phone ever you can call 100 times and they might answer. Do not send them anything. This is ridiculous I’ve been out my truck now 3 months now because they won’t send me my ECM back. What a scam.
Mark Pounders: I really hate leaving this negative review, especially because this company has so much potential, but they just don't seem to get it or care. I won't belabor the point...just look at the other reviews...Unfortunately our experience was no different. The only thing I would add is that they finally told me they would block our number if we called about the status of our unit one more time. They told me the reason they don't have time for our calls is because they ship out hundreds of units a week, yet not a single positive review...from anyone.

Brian Heiskary: I should have read the reviews prior to placing an order. Suffice to say I was taken by this outfit. I have been waiting for 2 months and thousands of attempts to contact them by phone and email with ZERO response. Same issue other reviews had. They call you back and tell you your ECM is unprogrammable, fooled me into purchasing a fully guaranteed replacement with lifetime warranty, then went completely dark... Expensive lesson learned. Will attempt to pursue legal action, but probably won't be worth time and effort. STAY AWAY from these jokers!
andrey Livarchuk: Never pick up. Have to call 5 time a day to reach someone. Sent them my Mack computer to get rebuilt. They said they found the issue 4-5 days later then called again and they said they can’t fix it they’re sending it back. That took another 5 days. They had it for 3 weeks until I got it back. Waste of time and money this company is a joke.

IVAN PELLETIER: This company was recommended to me by a member of the ADS (Association of Diesel Specialist) which I'm a member of.VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE. I sent an ECM in for repair the 2nd week of December 2020. Got a call saying it was ready to ship on January 5th & I was told it would be shipped the following day Fedex 2 day air to Canada (which it was). At that time I requested that an email of the invoice be sent to me. I called several times after that for the invoice with no response. On January 8th I spoke to Brian to get a tracking number & invoice. He informed me that Fedex was missing the customs paperwork. Brian assured me that he'd send me my invoice & deal with the customs paper work right away. None of that was done that day nor Monday or Tuesday. It's now January 13 & still stuck at Fedex in North Carolina because the proper paper work wasn't sent upon shipping it. Also still haven't received an email of the invoice that I had requested several times. So I called Brian to receive an update (after checking with Fedex) & asked why this hasn't been dealt with? He made a bunch of excuses & told me that they don't like dealing with shipments to Canada! He made it sound like it was my fault for ordering it cause I'm from Canada! I took huge offence to that comment!!! When I first called the company there was no mention of not wanting to deal with Canadians!I just checked again with Fedex (later in the afternoon) & it still is showing as needing the paperwork! Though I did finally get my invoice emailed for a parcel I should have received last week!!!! Not very impressed with this company. I'm now a bit concerned about the product that I'll be receiving. Hope this isn't a reflection on the quality of their workmanship!!!

Dwarkesh Vakharia: I hope others read this review and reconsider using this repair shop. Utterly unethical owner. Jay charged me a diagnosis fee for air conditioning repair. When I picked up the car he said if things don't work, to bring it back. The air conditioning did not work and I took it back after a few days. He said the blower had gone bad and that it would cost an additional $700 more to fix it. The blower was not working from the get go. So what kind of diagnosis did he do? Very disappointing. J E Short: Recently we had friends visiting from out of state. During their journey their BMW's "Check Engine" light came on. They contacted both BMW dealers in the Triangle area from the road and neither would even consider doing a quick code check for "at least 2 weeks". I contacted Jay at Rennaisance Auto (who services my Acura) and he agreed to squeeze in our friend's car for a quick diagnosis the next day. He was able to quickly assure them the issue was transient and they could continue their journey in a couple of days with confidence a breakdown was not in the cards. This was a great stress relief for our friends and put the fun back in the visit! Fantastic customer service and very human concern from Rennaisance Auto and I'll absolutely continue to see them for our auto service. Oh ... and Jay didn't even want a dime for this effort! Eric: I'm not even a customer yet and Jay spent 20 minutes on the phone with me discussing a second opinion I wanted on a $2000 dealer-recommended repair. After asking me lots of questions about the car, its performance, and what the dealership told me, Jay didn't think it was particularly urgent and said I could probably just wait and have them look at it in the spring when it is due for its NC inspection. I'll definitely be visiting them in March.

Rene Gallant: I called the days before for a break job requiring changing the pads and resurfacing the rotors and I got a good price ($20 less than others). I knew exactly what was needed since I was at the dealership the day before. But when I came in, suddenly the price was only to replace the pad, for the rotors it would be extra. On top of this I was told that the rear rotor could not be resurfaced because of their shape/style and I would have to change them. I decided to leave right away. My dealership and the other place that did my breaks never mentioned about changing the rotors...maybe the mechanic was inexperienced or they did not have the right tools.Updates:Just to clarified. Another car mechanic changed my breaks and resurfaced my rear rotors on that same day without issues and my dealership was about to do them as well and they measured everything, it was just to expansive with them.

ON THIS VEHICLE YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE FRONT HUBS OFF TO GET TO THE ROTORS. VERY REASONABLE PRICE AND WARRANTY THEIR WORK. MADE SENSE TO DO THE BEARINGS AND SEALS. thomas varney: I went in to get a simple front brake pads change, just like all the other big brake companies, you tell them that you want front brakes changed,they say come in we got you,then they say that we can't turn your Rotors,then they tell you that you are a freaking disaster on the road,on top of that they have your vehicle on the rack with both wheels off,then they put the pressure on you like they have you by the balls, to me that sounds like a extra $500
