JULIA HALMAGYI: I have to say this was the worst experience, food was at best a 1 out of 10. The beef tartar was still frozen when they bought it out. Their miso soup tasted burned and smelled like wet socks. Asked for fried vegetables they bought us raw vegetables twice. It was truly a big disappointment.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Jo Dee: It's like we died and went to KBBQ heaven. I am a kimchi nut, and to have my kimchi plate refilled that fast was terrific. We ordered the AYCE meal which didn't feature the better quality meats, but it was still some of the better quality steak I tried. Pauly was a great server. He was on top of everything. Definitely coming back, even though we live in Western North Carolina!

Jennifer Valle: The food was great. The restaurant it's self was very loud and busy so it hindered getting your food in a timely manner. The waiter did a fantastic job with the circumstances he was given, but I feel they assigned too many tables to one waiter. That's not a bad thing in a restaurant that you cook our own food in but when you are given a time limit to your table it's starts to become an issue. There were 6 of us and though nothing was said I think we almost hit our limit since we waited for sides, drinks and sauces a lot longer than we had hoped. Over all still a great experience.
Laurie Allen: Meat and corn cheese was delicious but the sides were very lacking. For vegetables to cook you’re given a slice of dried out sweet potato, mushrooms, and tofu. Would have been really nice to get broccoli, carrots, or more veggie options in general.Staff was incredibly friendly, all greeted us and stayed on top of the service. However I really expected a higher end atmosphere for the $100+ we paid for 2 of us (just 2 meals, no drinks, apps, etc.) My booth was broken and there was no mood lighting or music. The place felt a bit cheap for the high price tag.Really wanted to like this place and I love the concept but probably won’t be coming back here.
Alicia H: The food was great and so was the presentation :). The service was also excellent! All the employees that passed by were very kind and helpful. It was my first time here along with my friend and it was a pleasant experience for us. I highly suggest the bulgogi with rice and the cheesy corn! I definitely will come again!

Jessica Richardson: What a cool find this was! Went here with my mom on our way to another restaurant for lunch when we spotted this and decided to check it out. This was my first time sitting at a Korean bbq table and as a newbie I could not have asked for a better first experience. Our server, Ethan, was fantastic, informative and so very patient with us the entire time. The rest of the staff were equally attentive and helpful. The food was very delicious with me now being a huge fan of the beansprouts side dish and their fermented soybean sauce which just popped the flavors of the grilled meats! A wonderfully fun experience for all, highly recommend :)

Buldaegi BBQ House: what do users think?
Akili Danieli: Buldagi BBQ was overall an amazing experience . From the warm and inviting ambiance to the outstanding service and the great flavors, this restaurant offers an extraordinary dining experience. The customer service and friendliness of our waiter was amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience and can confidently say that my visit to Buldaegi was an unforgettable and five-star experience.
Dillian: Fun place for a date night or to hang with friends. Either have fun cooking your own types of meats, or order off the menu, neither have done me wrong. The staff is always friendly!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Anna Z: Food tastes delicious and more authentic than Seoul grille, price is great, and service is amazing. The two waiters were very polite and accommodating to our needs. My boyfriend and I have been eating here for the past 5 date nights and enjoyed every meal! For bbq food you don’t finish you can cook the rest of it and take it to go. Lettuce is free!
sydney n: love this place, comfortable atmosphere and the food is really good compared to other kbbq places i've been. the staff is very kind and helpful. my favorite kbbq place in nc!!

T. Thomas: The manager/owner was rude. He questioned my integrity, which is a huge deal for me. I felt so disrespected. I will NEVER go here again, nor do I recommend this restaurant. In response to the manager that replied, it was whomever was the manager on the day I was there on Tuesday or Wednesday, May 30th or 31st. I do not wish 2 email u, I'd rather never visit again & tell everyone I know about my experience. Thank u!

Luke: The pork bulgogi was tender and the grilled vegetables retained a nice crunch. They also served me canned soda, which I prefer to the fountain. My server was very polite and the service was prompt. Will be back.
Aaron Trinh: Pretty quiet and empty place. We were the only customers in the place at around 4 PM for an early dinner. Sat down, ordered the bbq platter and ate. Nothing tasted off, all the food was great and the price was fair. The waiter kept coming back to make sure we were doing fine with our meals. will definitely return with larger parties since there's so many open tables!
Linda Trinh: The service was excellent. Very friendly n very professional. The price was good. Food was great. Recommended all our friends and family here.
Tamara Davis: I went along with my husband because he suggested this place after having read all the great reviews. I'm usually up for trying new restaurants that my husband suggests and most of the time the reviews turn out to be, in fact, accurate. This time, he had to apologize for bringing me. Lol I'm actually very surprised that most of the reviews are positive. Maybe the quality has plummeted after some time...I don't know; this was my first time dining here. As someone who eats Asian cuisine often, I was highly disappointed with the food, especially for the price. Trust me, just go to Seoul Grille across the street. The atmosphere is better, the experience overall is more efficient, the food is better quality and tastes great, and it's actually worth the money, in my humble opinion.
Ryan Davis: TLDR: Supbar at best. Go across the street to a much better option. This was our first (and last) time at Buldaegi. We had been to Seoul Grill plenty of times (and loved it) but had always been curious to try Buldaegi as it seemed more lowkey but could possibly be a hidden gem. WrongmThe first thing that should have tipped us off was the fact that it was practically empty, despite their competitor who is literally across the street is packed at the same time of day. I was hoping that maybe we were just ahead of the rush or something or that maybe people were blinded by the dreary decour and didn't look below the ugly ducklings surface and were missing out on good food.I could talk about how the ordering experience was unintuitive and the poor atmosphere. But all that can be forgiven if the food is good.We ordered:Fried DumplingsJapchae (glass noodles) w/ PorkBulgogi (Beef + Spicy Pork)The beef was passable. But the spicy pork and dumplings were both bland and under seasoned. Altogether this meal just subpar. Those things alone would've been enough for me to simply leave and chalk to "you win some - you lose some)The japchae was the real offender. I have had japchae plenty of times in my life and if this were merely an issue of it tasting "bland" or it wouldn't have been a bigger deal than anything else (after all, everything was bland so what's one more poorly seasoned dish). But it actually tasted strange. It tasted like the oil it was cooked in had been reused to many times or something. They assured us it was cooked fresh and I won't call anyone a liar. All I can say is that there was a strange taste that is often associated with oil that's been reused too often. When we brought this up, haven only eaten a few bites of it and asked them to remove it from the ticket (they asked if we wanted a remake - but again, everything else was already bland) they insisted it was correct and dismissed our concerns. That is obviously within their rights and is their prerogative to do so.Still, we of course will not be back and I also think it's important to warn people off, particularly when a vastly superior option is less than 500 feet away. Do yourself a favor and go to Seol Grill instead.
Jan Bables: Not going back to this place. Guy was rushing me to order, but then when I finally figure out what I want. He said “they don’t have it” lol.
Anh-Tuan Tran: Took my son here for lunch on a Saturday and we were the only customers. Was a bit surprised and was worried food here wasn’t going to be good or something. Totally not the case, the food was delicious. My son loved his beef bulgogi dish and even enjoyed the side salad that came with it. I got the garlic chicken with onions and it was some of the best chicken I’ve had anywhere. The side dishes were standard, but overall very good Korean food. Highly recommend you stopping by and giving this place more business, the food is great!
Bota N: This place is underestimated. They have soups and the all korean bbq meats. Service has been quick every time we are here. My baby loves their chicken and vegetable dumplings. We love the galbi and all the soups! They are delicious !Seats are private and comfortable. Restaurant is clean and quite. Some of the korean restaurants nearby are more popular, but they are more expensive and hard to get a table, even you do, you feel rushed.
Vyacheslav Kolesnikov: Clean restaurant, good service, not too pricey, delicious plates, perfect soups.
Thiyagesh Rei: Very authentic and delicious Korean food that you can find in town.
Esther Kim: We just moved to the area and wanted real Korean food and decided to check out this place because we heard it was authentic... Lemme just say IT. IS. NOT.As a Korean who is obsessed with my culture's food, this place was a huge disappointment.1. The haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) was limp, soggy, there was MAYBE 3 pieces of actual seafood in the entire pancake, and there were full pieces of egg in it?? What??2. We ordered grill table BBQ and had to wait 20 minutes for the meat and banchan to even come out (There were only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant).3. The banchan... Idk how any of this banchan was considered authentic in any way. There's no real kimchi. They only had radish kimchi (not good) and kimchi made out of normal white cabbage vs napa cabbage. It blew my mom and I away that a Korean restaurant would not have real kimchi. And the dwaegjangjigae... Was just appalling. We have never tasted dwaegjangjigae like that before. It tasted like sour onions with crunchy, undercooked potatoes. I only ate the tofu in that. Y'all charge $8 for this?? The other banchan was wildly catered to an American palette vs Korean. This was such a disappointing meal to have after moving into the area and left such a sad impression on what "authentic" Korean food is like in Cary. You guys need to hire a real Korean ahjumma to teach you what real, authentic Korean food is.

Taeyoung Kim: I moved to North Carolina today. I visited this restaurant to have a pleasant dinner with my family. I ordered kimchi fried rice, soft tofu stew, and udon. I was worried that people might think that Korean food is not good because it is very bad. Kimchi fried rice was the worst. Udon tastes worse than buying freshly bought udon from Nongshim sold at Costco and eating it at home. Soft tofu stew is quite delicious. I want to talk to people who want to visit here. Just order soft tofu stew.
Michael C: The food was great. The katsu, wraps, and sushi were quality. The waitress could've been more attentive, though. Tried to get more napkins, but she was never to be seen. Eric Kang: I get take out here b/c their bokembop with chicken is my favorite. The portion is kind of small, so I get an appetizer. I recommend the bulgoki fries.
Kevin Koines: I used to enjoy this place but their quality of food and service has been degraded a lot. I don’t know if there is change of ownership though. Katsu is not what I used to get here. It’s not crispy a but very hard to chew and fry was awful. They didnt even get our food out. That’s was definitely not a great dinner experience we were expecting.
Marvin Werth: Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Lan Nguyen: Galbi was good but the quality the beef bolgogi didn't match the price. I don't mind paying high $ for quality meat but this was below par. Texture tasted like it was marinated then frozen and then served at a later date so the texture of the beef was degraded. Either that or they marinated it in meat tenderizer which alters the typical texture of the beef. For $62 (dinner for 2 ), we got 1.5 lbs of meat, rice, lettuce & maybe 4 small kimchi side dishes. We could have gone to all u can eat korean bbq for similar price ($35/pp) which includes appetizers as well as at least 8-10 different kimchi side dishes. Also, 3 chicken wings for $7.50. Seem pricey for separate wings ( 1flat & 2 "drum stick"wings) not entire large wings that have not been cut in half.
Jaime Smith: Great menu options, fast, hot, and delicious! We got Bentos for lunch and they were the perfect amount of food and soooo good!!!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Beef Bulgogi, Bulgogi Bento …More

Jon Pugeda: Don’t know why it took me so long to try this place out but I’m sure glad I finally made it. The Seared Tuna roll was prepared well and tasted great. Was nice they served fresh ginger with it. The Bulgogi Bibimbap was not prepared the way I’m accustomed to but was still really good! The vibe inside is typical of a mom and pop Asian restaurant but still nice. The service was excellent with both server teaming up together and checking on us to make sure everything was going well. Definitely am going to come back to try other items in their menu.
Abi Turner (Buzbuz9): We got chicken katsu and bulgolgi beef bibimbop. Both were really yummy. This place is a bit more expensive than some other we frequently but the food was well worth it in my mind. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for some Korean food. The restaurant seemed fairly nice and well put together. We got takeout so weren't there for long though. It was a little on the smaller side but plently of tables if you did want to eat there.
Rachel Gill: Will definitely come back here. The food was delicious and fresh and the service was great.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Stone Bowl Bibimbob, Beef Bulgogi, Bibim Bap …More

Amy N: Absolutely not worth the money. The menu online showed totally different prices than the menu they gave us in the restaurant. The food was very good but not worth the amount of money we paid. The portions were small and we were all still hungry after we ate. Lastly, the service was horrible. Our server took our order and then vanished. He didn’t bring us our food, check on us after we received our food, ask us if we needed anything or refills, and never brought us our check. When we went up to pay (we had to because no one came and picked up my credit card after we finally received our bill from another employee), we noticed our original server was sitting down eating and completely oblivious to us even leaving. Unfortunately we will not be returning. They either need to lower their prices significantly or increase the amount of food they offer. Very disappointed because we drove 45 minutes to eat at this restaurant because my son said it was really good.

Everyone, including my sister who is vegetarian, found something delicious to eat. I also really enjoyed the soju! Thank you to everyone at Okja for making my birthday special! I will be bringing my friends next!
Gerald Richardson: We tried another Korean place in Cary this evening - Okja K-Pub & Restaurant. My wife had her usual 'bibimbap', which is a mixed rice dish with an egg on top, and I had a marinated beef short rib dish called 'galbi' or 'kalbi'. Very tasty. Highly recommend. Next time I plan on trying their bulgogi and see how it compares with other spots.

The only problem is that the new management has halved the size of the Korean fried chicken wings which should be much larger than the size of an American chicken wing (which is one reason why they are so popular!). ice_cube: I ordered the red beef soup. The portion of the beef is so small and the soup and beef tastes bland. Does not recommend going there.
H. C.: Food was great I enjoyed it.
shanike Nawarathne: $16.23 meal.
Kierstyn Myers: I saw bulgogi on the menu and absolutely had to give it a try! Was not disappointed! Great flavor, a good portion served with rice and kimchi. The gentleman was super friendly as he took our order and it took no time for the food to come out.If you like bulgogi then you have to try the food here! There were so many options I had a hard time choosing and can't wait to go back and try some other things on the menu!
Lydia Chew: We got the mushroom soondooboojjige with beef short ribs combo and topokki. It was served with one container of white rice and banchan (kimchi and pickled cucumbers). I wish there was a second container of white rice, but otherwise this was plenty of food for 2 people as we also had some leftovers to take home. I wouldn't get the topokki again, but the soondooboojjige was nice. As far as H Mart food court meals go, this one was pretty good.I noticed a few other reviews that called out an employee for bad service, but we were served by a younger guy who was very friendly and helpful. He came out to the seating area to let us know when our order was ready, helped us bus the table (typically you do it yourself), and checked in to ask if we needed anything else.
Graham: I've been to this location on two occasions, the first occasion I had a bad experience because of the personality and attitude of the older male gentleman.I wanted to give it a second try since he wasn't here, so we went back. We bought the beef short ribs which looked like it would be a lot of food to split between two people based on the diagram on the menu, but we're surprised when it was only a small bowl worth, which we're following apart and tasted very bland.Between the price being more expensive than any of the other food outlets in H Mart, and the food only being subpar in quality, as well as the atrocious personality of the owners, I don't recommend coming here.
Isaac Yeh: Serving size doesn't match the pictures they have, If you're paying for a 20 dollar combo. It should at least match the portion sizes. If your in the neighborhood the only thing here I would reccomend is the Tofu soup.
J H: This owner dude needs to watch his stupid attitude. What kind of a Korean acts like that let alone a restaurant owner. You’re in service business. We’re not your kids. Watch your dumb attitude or go out of business
Celia Quintana: Very rude guy , not sure if he’s the owner . I tried to pay cash & card & he told me no cash just card & that’s fine . A young lady came in and she wanted to order but he told her no, that they’re closed with an attitude. Later a group of other people came to order and he gladly took the cash they had and their order. Is it because the young girl is black?? I’m hispanic and the other group of customers he took the order from were asian. Very racist and most definitely not coming back here .
Damarjeet Chanambam: Bad attitude owner/ chef whoever he was. Every shop was crowded today of Father's day, except this one.You see.
Ls: Seafood tofu soup is sooo good
Nitya Murali: Got a $17 beef bulgogi from this place. I guess the picture itself speaks volumes. The bowl is barely half filled. The least they could have done was to use a smaller bowl. The food was a bit dry. Not impressed at all.
Nadia Thomas: Every time I get food from the ajusshi at this restaurant, he has an attitude. Whenever he has a bad attitude, that's when I know my food is about to be fire! Now whenever I go to that restaurant, I look for ajusshi with the bad attitude. If he not there, I'm either walking right back out of Hmart, or I'm going to a different restaurant because I know the food not gonna be good that day. If he there but he dont get no attitude with you, the food probably still gonna be ok. 5 star!
Donnie Ortiz: The noodles were good in flavor but way too much tofu and I ordered the beef with seafood but you wouldn’t think that I only had one full shrimp and two little shrimps from like a oodles and noodles cup it was more tofu than anythingDine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes Curbside pickup: No …More
