Cary Mower & Saw: what do users think?
Roy Lee Draughn: I had an older chainsaw, from the 80’s, that Cary Mower and Saw and tuned for me in the past. Took it in to the new owners, Clay’s, and they all but laughed me out the door and told me it’s probably time to retire the saw. Maybe they still know how to work stuff, but they sure are not willing to repair stuff they don’t sell now. I will never step foot there unless I have no other choice, even if it is sthil or echo.
eddie west: Clay's is a great place to get equipment, or to have service done...their customer service is excellent...folks are nice and courteous...the place is clean and professional...they took great care of me...Kristina is so nice and helpful! Chris helped a lot with questions...Wes is running a great business...
Fred Kastner: My (beloved) Stihl chainsaw was getting increasingly more difficult to start. I left it at Clays for service and got a call 6 days later that it was ready. Chris (2-cycle engine master technician) did a WONDERFUL job! Completely satisfied with the work Chris did and with the overall interaction during the check-in/check-out process. Thank you Clays and thank you Chris!
Shawn Regimand: I purchased a Cub Cadet mover less than one year ago. I been having hard time starting it every time I want to use it. I have not been getting any help.
Mark Hertzfeld: The whole store was clean and all of the product was well placed for people to review and see the different choices of mowers and weed whackers
M Hodges: Similar service issues as others. Called and inquired about how much it would cost me for a diagnostic on my leaf blower. I was told $30. (My blower was bogging down when triggered) Not being concerned with time, I took it in for a diagnosis. I asked the young man that helped me if they would call me to let me know what it would take (cost’ $) to fix it. I was told that I would get a call. I explained that it may or may not be worth fixing so the cost to repair is very important and I will need to know (in other words, A SERVICE AUTHORIZATION) basic service vernacular and procedures right? WRONG The only call that I received, which was only a couple of days later, was to let me know that my blower was ready for pickup. I was slightly surprised, and excited that it was ready so fast and obviously it was less than the $30 since I never received a pre-authorization call. When I arrived to pick up the blower, I was told that my balance was $86.82. I told the Gentleman that was checking me out that I was supposed to get a call about what it needed, so as you can imagine, I was caught off guard. He then tells me “Well, it’s only $86.82” — almost positive on this quote. (Pull your tapes) FOLKS, that is a grand total of $116.82! Not $30I paid it and said thanks, and left. I get home and was anxious to blow my stinking pine straw, and leaves and wouldn’t you know it… after a new carburetor, new fuel lines and whatever else they did, it still had the same exact problem.I called the shop back and explained this issue and was told…. Well, I don’t know what the problem could be. It can’t be anything else if we did those things???? Really? So then what do I do? This person says, I’m not sure what to tell you….. smhHere’s where I’ve come to. We “support” our local businesses, and sometimes we hit a home run, sometimes we strike out. This time I struck out.Solution: COMMUNICATION! Set the proper expectations with your customers and communicate with them! Don’t just replace a handful of parts and dishonestly rip their heads off, knowing that they are at your mercy just because you can. It’s not right, and after so many bad reviews, it will negatively impact you. You are in the service business in a great town. Try to act like it. The surrounding residents deserve it.
Jake Council: A jolly good experience!A helpful and knowledgeable staff selling a variety of quality equipment and tools. I highly recommend supporting this local business!
Pepe Rencurrell: We've been taking our electric lawnmower there every year so they can sharpen the blade and as always, they have been very polite and helpful. They also sell an array of excellent brands lawn tools! Highly recommend it!!
Bill Fishel: I took my Stilh leaf blower in for repair at Cary Mower and Saw when it refused to start. They accepted my blower, and a $30 deposit was required before they would look at it.They advised they would call me with a diagnosis. A month later, I called them to ask about my blower’s status. They advised that several jobs were still ahead of me. A couple of weeks later, I called again to inquire about the status of my blower. At that time I was told that my blower needed a new carburetor and that it would be $175 to have it fixed.Given the fact that I can buy a brand-new blower for about $20 more, I opted to not have it repaired. My request for a return of my $30 deposit was refused. I inquired as to why they did not call me, and I was advised that they called me on May 5th. I did not receive a May 5th call from them, and there is no record on my phone of their leaving a message.
Jason Kristof: The guys at Cary Mower & Saw are amazing! Super helpful and knowledgeable. Carry much higher quality equipment than you find at the big box store and have overall saved me a lot of money. Extremely attentive to my situation and really take care of you, Hunter is the best, but really the whole crew there is excellent! Only place to go if you are looking for quality equipment or service!
Sean O'Brien: Awesome place! Phenomenal customer service! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! I highly recommend!
Brian Kernan: Dropped off mower to get repaired.
andrew chan: Walked inside today for some 2 cycle oil mix. Older man (i guess his name is conner) at the counter was the most unpleasant person i ever dealt with before in a retail shop. No hello, no how can I help you, no anything and when I asked a question regarding a certain brand of 2 cycle engine oil (not only did they not carry it but I got a look from him like I was stupid to even asked). Never will I give this place my business again!
Chris Mayo: Go speak with Hunter for your new purchase! He’s knowledgeable and will help you anyway he can. A+ experience!
mary Haug: We took a saw in for sharpening last week. We were told we'd get it back in 2 days. We called after 2 days and every day following for over a week and each day we were told: "It's not ready yet, it will be tomorrow." When they were finally able to complete the sharpening, we received rude treatment upon retrieval and were charged an extra fee for something we were not informed of up front. Specifically, when we dropped off the saw, we asked if the chain should be taken off for the sharpening (I had a tool to remove the chain in my car and have done it a number of times in minutes) and we were told it didn't matter either way. However, we were then charged an extra $20 fee for not removing the chain. Had we been informed we would have definitely taken it off at the beginning.A 15 minute sharpening job that took over a week to complete, very unfriendly employees (at least at the front desk - please offer customer service training) and untruthful pricing... we would not recommend.
Peter Cusden: Great experience
Rick Cauthen: Needed some parts for my mower had been to another company they didn't have it . Had been to Cary mower some years back so I stopped their got the parts I needed. They r new owners to me . But the gentleman at the store treated as I was a regular customer of theirs . We had a good laugh . No worries when I need parts in the future they'll be a shop I'll have no problem stopping in again. Thanks Cary mower associates thank u for ur service
Michael Forte: Knowledgeable staff and always willing to help. One of my two "go to" outdoor equipment dealers in the RDU area. Heading there now!
Scott Schriver: Great work and even better guys that work at this shop! I have taken my equipment here for the past few years, and never have had any problems. Yet, I do reside in Youngsville (which is roughly 50 min drive) I would not rather have anyone else work on my equipment. That being said, take a trip to this shop and I can promise you will not be disappointed. A great local business with more than 40 years strong.
james sullivan: Blower Vac had stalled and would not start again. Took it to Cary Mower and saw after a few weeks, I was told it was ignition coil and ###.00 to fix. It wasn't the ignition coil. It was a very simple safety switch associated with vacuum operation and safety guard. As an echo dealer I would have expected them to know of this...did they?
M B: I went to this store to get my mower tuned up and the dual blades sharpened. I told them I had a new filter and would like it returned but to install a new filter since that was included. IV received a call that the Carb needed to be replaced in which I approved. After 2 days I called to see if the mower was ready no response. I then drove to the shop the guy at the front counter mentioned my mower was ready so I paid. He brought it outside and before I loaded the mower I decided to test it. Would not start, I checked my air filter to see if it was new and the blades sharpened and The blades were not sharpened, carb not replaced and my original filter was in the mower. I went in and asked did anyone even touch my mower. the counter guy went to review paperwork and and said he thought it was done but no one worked on it at all for the days it was there just sitting there. Go elsewhere. Used to be a good place under previous ownership. Here are my True Stars count "0". March was the time of my visit. Person I spoke to about my cost and Carb need was a young man Hunter I do believe.

Pro-Mow Equipment Sales: what do users think?
Heidi Eighme: My 12 year old son got ripped off on a Snapper RE 110.They wanted my son to to pay 1060.74 for diagnostic,a battery that he did not need because he just bought brand new one,a wheel bearing,a drive disc,a tune up,and a carburetor, and the back reassembled .And the only thing he needed was the carburetor.
Troy Anderson: Excellent customer service!
Tim Messer: Thanks for the great cup! I will be using while I am mowing. I have enjoyed your awesome sales and service. THANKS
Jonny Cannon: Great folks and fantastic service
C M (Chris): I was so pleasantly greeted and helped by the service counter at Pro Mow. I had 2 tires that needed to be mounted on my lawn tractor. The price was just great and super nice people. What's even cooler half the place is the coolest hobby shop ever. Go to this place for your Lawn Tractor needs you wont be sorry. A GEM!
james jones: Needed several units serviced such and weed eaters and edgers, after a long wait for counter staff that didn't want to get up I was informed that they don't work on anything that isn't bought from them. I even had brands they sell but didn't purchase it from them so they didn't want to work on it. I was told that it was a three week wait if they would take it in. The young man then recommended that I go to another dealer up the road so I did. Thank You promos! I found fabulous staff and a place that focuses on lawn care equipment mainly.
Roberto: This place is great! Tim senior and Tim Junior are awesome! They are very knowledgeable. They found all the parts I needed for my Shindaiwa, and if you have an issue with your machines, they suggest to you what to do first before spending money in parts you don't need.
Shane Pickrel: Purchased a tru-cut mower about 3 months ago and was told if I needed any work, warranty or not bring it to them. Well today I needed work done to the mower. I was immediately told to take it 20 minutes down the road to another company. They didn't look at it and had no interest. They had no concern that I bought a $3000 mower from them. I guess the referral I made to a friend to come and purchase the same model means nothing. Word of mouth works both ways. Just seems a small business would be a little more interested in helping. I think the guy was more interested in eating his zaxbys than getting off his butt and helping a customer. Didn't even offer to look at it.
David Doerr: Great place for your lawn needs. Knowledgeable staff and went the extra mile for me and my business.
Charles Miller: Guys there are really helpful in choosing the right parts or equipment for your needs
Semper Fi For Life !!: all types of equipment for sale..They sell parts an do service to
Max Garris: The staff is very knowledgeable and ordered parts that I needed.
Rob Saunders: I went in the Pro-Mow store in Garner, NC with the make, model, and part name /detailed description of the part that I was looking for. Seeing that I was the only customer in the store at the time I took the time to drive over there thinking that I could get in and get right out!Without hesitation the young man advised me that he couldn't look it up without the mowers model and serial numbers. Well I must admit this seemed a little different for me especially since I used to work for an auto parts store for almost 5 years and there were times that we were able to locate parts for people just based off of their verbal or physical description of the item. This was especially true if it was a DIY item or some type of accessory. He advised me to call him back with the information so that he could go pull the part for me so he gave me a business card and I assumed we were done after that since nothing else was said to me. The crazy thing about it is he knew the part that I was talking about and I would have felt better if he would have at least attempted to go pull at least one to three of the cables that he mentioned so that I could look at them and choose the one that I took off. Neither he nor the young lady working beside him moved as if they were chained to their seats. To the left of him was another young Hispanic man who was working in the RC part of the business so I went over to him who was a bit more cordial and a little more helpful and inquired about some parts for a drone of mine. Pro-Mow needs more folk's like him especially if they are going to be the face of the business.Anyway I stopped back by the Pro-Mow counter again and just confirmed the location that he wanted me to search for the information so he confirmed it and again advised me to give him a call once I got the information.I went home and located the mower information on the rear of the unit and I proceeded to call the business just as he instructed. The problem was after calling the business literally within a few minutes later I got an answering machine which the first time the phone disconnected and the second time I had to leave a message. So I decided to leave a message and after doing so it wasn't until about 6 hours later that I received a call back from the business. Now, unless everybody in Garner and South Raleigh flooded that store to get parts or to buy mowers or remote control cars, Etc I could not fathom why it would take that long to return a call with two employees working behind the parts counter in the Pro-Mow section of the store! So after calling me back within seconds the phone call appeared to have been placed on hold and then disconnected. I immediately called the store back only to get the answering machine again in which at that time I left another message and here it is days later I have yet to get another call back.I currently work in sales and I know that I could not make any money as a salesman to support my family nor to sustain my job if I adopted the mindset of the young man at this business. I've patronized the RC side of this business before in the past with great success and even referred some of my friends to them.In closing, I know for a fact I would not do the same for the Pro-Mow side of the business unless they could get better with their customer service acumen as well as follow-up. I would not recommend this business as your first or initial contact when looking for parts, services, or sales for a lawn and tractor supplies. I would exhaust all other means trying to find other dealers or repair shops in Wake county or beyond before settling for Pro-Mow of Garner.
Mike R: Tim, the owner is always helpful and keeps his prices as low as possible. Nice place to go for lawn and hobby supplies and equipment.
Lori Whittemore: These guys always take great care of me! They answered my questions simply and had just what I needed in stock.
Brent Palmer: Clean
Jose Lander: Se encuentran partes de aeromodelismo.. y hovies..
Gayle Payne: Had what we needed took care of the problem reasonable price
Hans Karl: Helpful staff. Good prices and service. Fed up with big chains.
deathraydave: So far my lawn mowers been good. I took it in for repair once and it took awhile
Quincy Council: Thanks for the outstanding service I will be a repeat customer

Aldridge Durham Saw & Mower Inc.: what do users think?
Juan Trejo: What's the new number I cant seem to be able to call???
Rick Colón: Locally owned & run and it shows. Good folks here.
Clifton Harper: Good service personnel, good selections, okay pricing.
Harvey Obenauf: Great experience!
Mark Wood: They didn't have what I was after in stock, but the owner was really cool and we talked about vintage chainsaws for a while. They had Stihl and some Shindaiwa saws on display. Plenty of Stihl blowers, hedge trimmers, and string trimmers in stock. A little hard to see from regular traffic.
Frank White: Great service - something that is missing at most stores
David Green: Excellent and rapid service. My chainsaw needed some work so I brought it in a few days before a hurricane is forecast to hit us, just like everyone else was doing. Aldridge turned it around the same day.
Lisa Hawreluk: Super helpful and friendly! I highly recommend shopping here over any big box retailer.
Mark Johnson: I needed a good quality weed eater for my home and also taking up to my hunting property. I bought what I thought was a well known quality brand from a big box hardware store. Used it one time and was having issues with it bogging down and cutting off. Promptly returned it and decided to find a local lawn equipment shop with better equipment, and Aldridge Saw and Mower was just up the road from me. Bob was very friendly and helpful, and answered all my questions about what I was looking for. I ended up buying a Stihl trimmer from Aldridge. Bob even let me crank it up and try it out on some brush outside the shop before buying it, not something you can do at the big box stores. The Stihl fired right up and I could tell it had much better power than my previous purchase. I wish I had come here the first time around instead of wasting my time and gas money elsewhere. Overall I am very happy with the customer service and selection of quality equipment and highly recommend Aldridge Saw and Mower.
Carmi Flash: Great service. Took my blades in for sharpening and they did them right on the spot.
Linda Murray: I had a telescoping pruner that did not work and I brought it to Aldridge where Bob took on the project and successfully fixed my pruner at a fair price and quickly. Excellent friendly and professional customer service - glad it’s my community garden center! Thank you Bob!
Ashley Young: Had a great experience buying a Toro mower from Bob. He knows his products, was very helpful answering all of my questions, and even let me demo a mower on site. You will not get this service from the big box places. Support local business! Will definitely go back for future purchases.
Laura Benjamin: Definitely my go to business for anything I need. This place went above and beyond to help me with a piece on my mower and I couldn’t be happier! I have always used these guys for anything I need instead of Lowe’s or Home Depot. Having a personal, great experience is what you are going to find with Aldridge!
Chris Hayes: Friendly and helpful service.
Chris Dias: Very knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices. They took great care of me and took the time to make sure I understood how the equipment operated. They even help me load it into my car! Quality service.
Jen Mitchell: Fast, Friendly service- thank you to Bob and his crew for helping me out!
Zhiyi XU: Had my mower quickly fixed!
Tyler Keith: Great experience, knowledgeable employees. They spent the time with me and answered all questions I had to help narrow my mower search.
nathan byrd: Owner was helpful in researching and purchasing a riding lawmower for our ~1.3acre yard. Came out late on a weeknight to deliver the mower and help set it up and run through the operations. Had a good customer service experience and we will be working with them again in the future.
Lorelei Milan: I called Bob Hurley in a pinch to repair my pull starter on the spot. He agreed to do so. He not only explained why my power washer was not starting but how to fix it in the future. While I was there I witnessed his employee, Collin provide the same outstanding service to another customer. I will use Aldridge-Durham Saw and Motor for all my future needs for power washers, lawn mowers and chain saws.
McCreightville: Me Bob was very helpful and able to answer all of my questions

Right of Way Equipment Co.: what do users think?
Andrew Esposito: I wouldn't read this if you have money to spend. I really can't think of anything worthy of how incredible my experience was with Dan and his group. I have been looking for the right ride-on for my land for over a year. Dan has talked me through options, ideas, and presented suggestions that didn't even benefit his business. When it came time to make the purchase - he was incredibly patient, walked me through every option, and made me really confident in the purchase I made. It is really hard to find an honest, family owned, and fair business around here and this is my go to and highest recommendation I can give. I think the low reviews on here may have reviewed the wrong place or just had a bad day! Thank you all so much for the help and time - we love our mower and look forward to working with you all!
dndj fnfj: Terrible experience rude staff and don’t stand behind their product. Don’t expect service after your buy and good luck with warranty as it apparently doesn’t exist.
Hobo_Nobo: Headed over to ROW Eq. today following a brief visit to a local mower lawn service dealer. ROW Eq. had every Echo and Stihl backpack and handheld blower available in the showroom and in stock. Looked at the Echo 9010T, Stihl 800 C-E and 800 X. Was promptly greeted by Mr. Randy Sanborn Sales Rep. Randy talked through with me my current uses yard size and offered to help me try on a few blowers and walk around the showroom to see about comfort. After about 5 to 10 mins of trying on a few blowers I was sold on the BR800X. Randy was the reason I made a purchase at ROW Eq. today. Randy took his time made me feel comfortable in the showroom and was helpful and even complemented me on my basic knowledge of equipment. Randy also was very personable and pleasant. All of this was done as he was also helping another customer at the same time. Randy is a rock star. Thanks ROW Eq.
Missy: great experience, bought a new pruning machine and it came out GREAT!! Employees were so kind too!
Rick Cauthen: Great place to.lurchase or service ur equipment
Pat Kelly: I have been totally satisfied with my experience with RoWE Co., both in comparing machines and getting non biased opinions and facts to facilitate my decision to go with the Hustler Raptor XD. The staff is professional and very knowledgeable, and most importantly prompt, accurate and to the point. As for the zero turn mower, it is fantastic machine, a joy to operate and the job it does on my yard gets better every time I cut. It’s a great time management tool as well, I cut in one third the time allowing me to spend time with my kids on my beautiful yard. I brought my 2 year old son to the shop and he also had a great time. I expect that he will inherit the XD when the time come for him to take over the yard work.
Thomas Miller: Great crew , very respectful and professional service
Andy Wood: Called and asked if they would service my Troy Bilt mower for a minor repair and they said to bring it out. When I got there I was told that they would not work on a Troy Bilt mower.....thanks for wasting my time. The kid working there also cussed right in front on my 8 year old daughter, twice....
Sidney Bailey: I had wonderful experience buying my first zero turn from randy .he took me to class on the lawnmowers.the pros and cons of toro and hustler.randy answered all my questions and helped me to make my final decision. If you are in the market for a zero turn lawnmower I suggest you go to right of way equipment I highly recommend this place thankyou randy.
Donnie Ray Dunn: They had parts l needed.👍👍
Ricky Toppin: I have been going by ROW for years now for my lawn care needs. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable about the items they sell. In my opinion they have the best selection on parts anywhere in Raleigh, possibly farther. The sales staff takes time to speak with you about their products and answer any questions you may have. The service team is the best in the area with years of experience and up to date knowledge on the ever changing world made in part by the EPA. I would highly recommend these kind people to anyone, from homeowner to professional, for their lawn care product needs.
ANDRES maldonado: Because they have durability and strong tools for tree work
John Ramsay: Had the Stihl component I needed when no one else in Raleigh did. Friendly staff, painless shopping experience. Highly recommend.
Jean-Marie Luginbuhl: Randy Sanborn is very knowledgeable and gave me great advice
Larry Demanovich: Purchased a Toro mower and 18 months later lost self propelled feature. They diagnosed as needing a belt. Got it home and same problem occurred and a wheel fell off within minuets. The self propelled feature has quit working seven times and because of their initial diagnosis, Toro refuses to honor the warranty or offer any assistance.I would not recommend Right of Way Equipment or Toro.
Henry Drury: Professional and knowledgeable staff. The parts department has an outstanding crew. New equipment is competitively priced and product support is always available.
Rusty Ray: Extremely pleased with the service and advice provided by Right of Way. After a different Toro dealer failed to fulfill my online order, Right of Way owner Dan Bowling stepped up and delivered the machine that very same day. That is customer service!
Thomas E: Bought a hustler walk behiend. Easy to use. Easy to buy. The company held it for me for roughly 3 weeks as I was working on a means to transport the mower. Very accomidating and had great advice.
Chester Raybon: Bought my Hustler mower here. Super great people and fast delivery.Fast service when we returned to have hydraulics serviced.
Chris Rich: Very friendly and helpful staff. Can't wait for my next visit.
rocaza21: Terrible. You're taking your chances buying new equipment from them because they don't stand behind what they sell. I've been a customer for ten+ years, spent thousands of dollars there and will never buy another piece of equipment from them. You might get lucky, but if you buy something broken from them you're out of luck... and if they work on it you're throwing away even more money. When I brought back the still broken equipment I had paid to be fixed, the salesman actually told me the mechanic "tried his best" and I should contact the manufacturer. But they were glad to take my money and not fix anything.I strongly suggest buying your landscaping equipment from somewhere - ANYWHERE - else.
