Chris Reine: Presentation was first rate. Service was good. Food was pretty good, but not someplace I would plan to go back for. Maybe I'm just not into Malaysia food. Dylon: My most terrible experience here. Their waitress named Penny have very bad attitude and served the food very slowly. We waited for 20mins with only water served and end up with waiting 50 mins with nearly no entry served. After we changed our waitress, we realize she didn’t even send our full order to the kitchen!!! She is apparently a racist. The manager also stand for her. My other friends also report similar past experience in this restaurant. If you speak English, they serve fast but if you speak Mandarin, super late, that is pathetic and disgusting. 一个香港服务员很明显的歧视中国大陆顾客,既然这样就麻烦写明不要做大陆人生意了,消费不是为了去受气。
Priya pillai: Service was great. Food was authentic and good quality.

Bridgette Cannon: Delicious!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Alan Finn: Update April '23: everything denoted spicy is still very mild, but tasty. Surprisingly, only fried dumplings, no steamed (which I prefer).Good pan-asian food, but "spicy" (4 on a scale of 1 to 5) was very mild. At least they brought some chili oil. The dumpling wrappers were too thick.
chad foley: I like this place a lot. I think it is family run and very friendly. The food is delicious.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pad Thai Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Xi Nan: Originally the quality of the food was great, but recently the food has been horrible. They forget to add spices, chop ingredients like onions, they changed the quality of the noodles for the worse and serve it burnt. Would not recommend unless you want a bad.

Tangerine Cafe: what do users think?
Kori Hennessey: Delicious food! I’m sad to see they’re closing for good!
Sterling Franklin: 11/19 Update - Very sadly, Tangerine Cafe is closing its doors.Food was amazing, and thanks to the Tangerine Cafe staff for 16 great years! If you all ever decide to go delivery-only/no-building-lease-but-make-tasty-food, you still have a lot of customers who love your food! [Original Review Follows: Tangerine Cafe is my favorite Lunch restaurant -- tons of options and everything I've had ranges from good to excellent. The Lunch setup is Soup + Entree and extremely affordable, and I'd recommend that. It's really tough to beat. My favorites are the Thai Coconut soup, Coconut Rice Pudding, and the Indian-Style Curry Chicken. Closed Sundays and Mondays currently (check their site for updated hours just in case, though).]
Steve B: They announced permanent closing effective November 19, 2022After 16 years, Tangerine Cafe will be closing its doors for the last time on Saturday, November 19, 2022. It's been a great run and we're grateful to all of the wonderful staff that have worked with us through the years, as well as you, our loyal customers. We appreciate your business and all of your support through the years. Your continued support helped us survive through the challenge times of the pandemic and, again, we are grateful.Faced with the decision to sign a long-term lease to continue in this space, we decided...it's time to take a break. Tangerine has always been a small, family-run business, and keeping our doors open in recent years has been a challenge. Again, we have nothing but gratitude for the staff and customers that have keep us going, but again...time for a break.THANK YOU AGAIN and we hope you'll come by for a final meal (or two, or three) before we go.
Prajitha Hariharan: Love this place for the food and customer experience. Sadly it's no dine in but food is yummilicious . We love the Mei goreng and pad Thai in particular. We like it spicy and they just hit the right nodes on the spice levels. It's our go to place for any Thai food from years and they haven't disappointed us even once.
James Howard: Excellent food. And they serve Laksa, a rarity!
John Eakes: I got the Lunch Nasi Goreng (Chicken) with Indian lentil soup and the Crispy Calamari. Some of the best food I have had in a while! Really good stuff!
P J: Best Asian food in town. We order Singapore rice noodles almost all the time.Big drawback: Hard to order by phone for pick up during weekends, always busy I guess! Small place to dine in!Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes …More
michelle: No dine in currently.Went here for dinner and was told that food would take 1 hour to cook unless I ordered something ready made like soup or some appetizers. Walked out without ordering.I understand that they are understaffed from the sign on the door, but it's hard to support a restaurant that isn't equipped to make food within a reasonable time. If you plan on ordering from here keep in mind you would need to order ahead of time!
Johnny: First time trying this place and let me say it’s absolutely great. Give this place a try if you haven’t already. Best quality Thai for the price in the area. 🔥🔥
NSA: A M A Z I N GSome of the best chicken satay I've ever had!!Every dish here was really good. great music, nice vibes, great portions and will definitely come back.best Thai I have had in North CarolinaEDIT : THEY HAVE RECENTLY BEEN UNABLE TO SEAT PEOPLE AS THEY HAVE BEEN UNDER STAFFED. PLEASE CALL AND ORDER PICK UPS IF YOU CAN .PLACE IS WORTH SAVING, THE FOOD HERE IS GREAT
David Abbott: Excellent dishes from a variety of Asian cultures. Very convenient take out. Pleasant dining area and wait staff as covid permits.
Lilla Von Duhon: The food here is so delicious. I could eat here everyday.
Juan Morales Patino: This is not Traditional Thai food. Hear me out...I recently moved from Seattle,WA. A city well known for having strong Asian cuisine. [Thai, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Cantonese, Chinese, etc...]. Having lived there for 5+ years I grew accustomed to eating these foods regularly and so having moved here I came with very different expectations.Sadly, the reasoning for the high reviews is simply because the majority of people who eat here have never experienced traditional Thai cuisine. Here is what I ate:Tom Kha [coconut soup]: This dish wasn't half bad, but the truth is that this simply isn't Tom Kha. It's lacking flavor in lemongrass, ginger, and consistency. Also, the soup is stingy on vegetables and protein. Most of the Tom Khas are generous on Carrots, onions, ginger, and chicken/tofu/protein of choice.Chicken Panang Curry [chicken macadamia curry in their menu]: The curry was weird for starters. It was watery, lacked depth, and for a level 3 spicy it was really dull. The chicken was basically Katsu.Pineapple Fried Rice: Their recipe is not bad. Very close to what I'm used to, however, over the phone I was told that spicy level 4 was "asian" spicy and it turns out it's not. This is mainly "American" spicy since the majority of people can't handle Asian spice levels. disappointing to be honest, but if you want spicy.. this is not your dish.Chicken Satay: Out of all the dishes this one was the most accurate. The chicken was well seasoned and grilled properly. The peanut sauce was on the thicker side but it was yummy. 4/5 stars on this one.Dumplings: I ordered the fried dumplings and they weren't half bad. The filling was disproportionate however. needs a little more. Not too shabby however.Overall Score: 2/5I'd you're looking for a place that is more on the Asian American side, then this is fine. If however you're looking for real Thai food, this is not the place.
Jackie Hedges: Everything I've tried here has been great. As a vegan, I very much appreciate all of the tasty, eclectic, vegan versions of dishes. We've tried a lot of the Chinese, Thai, Indian, etc.. take-out places in the area, and this is our favorite. Plus, the staff are lovely and helpful. You really can't go wrong here. The tofu tikka masala, honey walnut tofu, vegan chili chicken, and pakoras are some of my favorites.
Scotty DNC: Got the pad Thai. Ordered medium spicy there was no spice and no flavor. When they put the egg in the put the egg in with the shell. Bits of egg Shell throughout. Worst pad Thai I have ever had.
John Morris: We gave this place a try for lunch while shopping at the plaza. $5 for 2 spring rolls the size of your thumb? So expensive! The thai entree my wife ordered was missing all the essential flavors and ingrediants requisite of the dish. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great either. Kinda forgettable.
Maya Mortenson: Delicious food, and the lunch prices are a great deal (dinner prices are reasonable too). I haven't had anything I don't like. I appreciate the menu indicating GF/Vegan too. :) Highly recommended. Do note that during covid, they are only doing takeout lunch on Tuesdays.
M Lowery: I came in to place my order in person. The hostess came over to key info into the register, but did not greet or ask if there was anything she could help me with.I grabbed a menu while she stood there, but she still didn't acknowledge me, though I was the only person in line. She walked away and came back a few mins later. By that time, another lady came. The hostess finally acknowledged me to only ask if I could step to the side so that she could help the other person, because they had a 'take out' order. Rude. I had been standing there the entire time. Needless to say, I left.I don't own a restaurant, but I'm pretty sure that's not how u treat a customer.
Jasmine Wiggins: Supremely disappointed. I ordered take out right before 6pm on a Friday night and was told 1.5 hours before my food would be ready. That was fine with me and not an unusual wait time. I arrived to pay and pick up my order 25 minutes AFTER my order was supposed to be ready. My order wasn’t ready. I was told it would be another 30 minutes and was asked if I wanted to wait. It turns out my order wasn’t even started so I left. Waiting over 2.5 hours for take out didn’t make sense to me.I drove 25 minutes out of my way to patronize this restaurant to celebrate an anniversary with some take-out. I don’t think I’ll be back since my time and gas were wasted.
Sean Ryan: It can be a pretty long wait but the food's great!
Jake Wolfram: The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were amazing, and I could not be more happy with my meal. Will definitely be going back!

Red Pepper Asian: what do users think?
Melissa Conway: Lovely menu! Lots of great choices with plenty of allergen friendly options! Staff are super friendly, helpful, and professional. We sat down and the area was very clean and well kept. Service is quick and the price is definitely fair for the quality of the food and portion size. My new favorite Asian spot, we will return again and again!
Amanda Glusco: Green curry shrimp ordered as “less spicy” was phenomenal. Still made my nose run and set my mouth on fire, lol. Made me feel like I was having an authentic curry in London. Fast pickup close to closing time. Will order again, and again.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Jordan Weidner: What a gem! I’ve lived in Raleigh my entire life and this is definitely the best Chinese food you will find. The quality of the food is unmatched, the restaurant it self is really nice. The lady who checks people out is extremely nice and welcoming. Don’t even get me started on the prices me my wife and son ate for 22$ there’s literally no where else you can do that, even McDonald’s. I am so happy I found this place 10/10. This is my second day in a row I’ve eaten it. Delicious delicious food. If you haven’t please go try!!!!!!!! Wish I found this place a lot sooner
Stan Creech: Sometimes the best places are tucked away in a corner. This little gem is worth a trip to try if you haven't already. Fast accurate service, food prepared fresh when ordered. Quality asian food. Small but clean dining area. Highly recommend. Family ownedRed curry vegetable soup.Singapore rice noodles with shrimp and pork. All their soups are good. My favorite is Chicken and rice soup.
Ashley Gurley: This place is always so good and the customer service is amazing !! I will always go here for my Chinese food cravings
Douglas Radford: Food was very good but I got sick the night I ate there and three weeks later I'm still sick. Don't know if there was a correlation or not.
shaniece banks: It’s literally the BEST chinese food I’ve ever had. You literally can’t do wrong with what you order.Recommended dishes Sesame Chicken, Plain Fried Rice, Vegetable Spring Roll …More

Diane Wilson: Love their food! Always great and service is prompt!
Sandy Especkerman: ordered pad Thai, kuey teow and dumplings! I'm from malaysia and it's definitely legit! Food is really good and tasty!
Clara Quintal: It’s the best Asian place in Raleigh I don’t have words to describe the amazing flavor and extra safe with 99.5 score the best clean and delicious place 🏽
Donovan Griffith: Read the reviews and this is literally EVERYTHING I hate about Chinese food. Tasteless and salty! Go anywhere else. Mongolian chicken with fried rice and fried chicken wings. Biggest regret of the day.
John Croson: Malay Sambal was nice and spicy, beef was like butter. Great flavor, fast service!Parking: Plenty availability
Megan West: I love Red Pepper! Everything that I've ordered has been really good but my favorite is the Thai Basil Chicken. It has so much flavor and the sauce is so good! Every time I call my order in, the person answering the phone has been so sweet and patient and sadly that's really hard to find. I'm so glad my co-worker put me on. 10/10 Highly Recommend.
Michael Honaker: Excellent take out!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sesame Chicken, Thai Basil Chicken, Plain Lo Mein, Dumpling, Vegetarian Delight, Thai Basil Shrimp, Plain Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Basil Chicken, Vegetable Spring Roll …More
Irene Ulloa Dobles: Oh what can I really say about this place other than we absolutely love it and we order from here probably around once a week. Super fresh ingredients, dishes are so flavorful, fast and friendly service…I’m vegetarian and they always made me the most delicious tofu with every dish I order, and I’ve tried almost all veggie dishes here by now, but I can’t never get enough!! It’s affordable, delicious and super awesome Asian food!
Skyrim Shuffle: This was my first time ordering from Red Pepper. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures of my food because I was hooked at first bite. Everything was delicious! The egg drop soup is phenomenal, and their fried dumplings are mouthwatering! The Customer service was perfectly pleasant. I can't wait until next time! Thank you Red Pepper!
Queani Johnson: I got severe food poisoning from this place after eating the chicken and rice and egg rolls. I had to be hospitalized for 1-2 days as I was vomiting, bad diarrhea and chills. Don’t recommend this place at all made me not want to eat takeout ever again.

Jon Athan Y.: The thai food here in terms if taste and authenticity is pretty good compared to other thai restaurants in the area. I gave it 3 stars bc the portions for the cost of the food is not worth it. They used a togo tray thats split into 3 sections but barely fill the tray. They just spread the food around to appear that it is a lot of food. Ordered drunken noodle and pad se-ew and you can see the pictures below.
sujay kumar: Atmosphere was kind of ok but as of service, there were none to take care of us. Only one person on the floor, who was tending to tables, taking care of 'To Go' orders and also the billing at front desk. It was a bit chaotic, lastly on the food, we ordered Mango Bubble, soup and fried rice. Mango bubble was tasting more like milk shake, soup was sour a bit (many in the group did not like it) and fried rice portion was large for dinner and it tasted ok. Not that great of an experience in the end and the wait time between order and service was also too long.
Morgan Terry: Authentic Thai at a reasonable price.Recommended dishes …More
