Master Chang's Martial Arts: what do users think?
Namrata Gonsalves: Masters Changs is a really nice place. They teach kids important values along with the Taekwondo skills. Our son is student there for over 2 years now and we have seen lot of improvement in his behavior. All the teachers he had so far are really great. The staff is very pleasant and always ready to help. I strongly recommend this place.
Jason Lovett: Master Chang's Martial Arts is awesome! From the onboarding process to the classes and promotions, everything is great! Master Rashad is one of the best masters in the area. He's been doing Taekwondo for over 15 years and it shows in his teachings! He takes immense pride in his work and is willing to go above and beyond to teach the students everything they need to know to succeed not only on the mats but outside of the dojang as well. All the students love him! Having him along with the other masters and instructors makes Master Chang's Martial Arts the best place to take your family for martial arts. Learn as a family, grow as a family, have fun as a family! Join Master Chang's if you're looking to get into Taekwondo!
Hadi: Had a trial class here for our children the other week and it was a great experience. Suchun was extremely welcoming and professional--we would certainly recommend this place to others.
progamer345 na: Everything that Master Chang’s has to offer, is highly recommended on every level. From beginner to black belt level, it is nothing short of top notch training. Students don’t just thrive in their skills, they thrive in understanding respect, focus, discipline and confidence. My son trains with Master Rashad, and is soaring in life because of his teachings. He is the real deal. Other instructors such as Master Su-Chun and Master Alyssa are also top notch. Actually, all of the instructors are! Enrolling my son at this school was the best thing I’ve ever done!
dana borrellie: I had tried to get my daughter in for summer camp and was not able to afford the amount they are asking for. I asked for a change in price due to financial hardship from being a caregiver to a father who is dying of stage 4 cancer and being a single mother of two kids, You would think they would consider something. This is very disappointing news since it was discussed so highly to me by a parent. What a shame they make good money but clearly enough is not enough. It is a good thing that I saw this early on, because when I start doing well in my new position they could of been blessed by helping me and my child out for this time period, but this is what greed gets you nothing! Treat others the way you would like to be treated you never know what could happen to you. How you treat others will reflect on your outcomes.
Mariia Kovalenko: Hardly recommended for kids how need training focus, body control and discipline. Love it.
jamie clarke: My son loves it here. He has gained a lot of confidence and is taught lessons of self control, avoiding conflict, respect towards parents, school teachers, and instructors. The contract is a bit intimidating but it was explained thoroughly and we as a family decided to make the commitment and signed up for the black belt program with full understanding of the terms. We love the instructors and messages they provide. There has been a recent uptick recently in the areas of focus, discipline, and respect with the addition of Master Rashad that I love! He’s tough in a way children need and has a lot of fun! We love Master’s Bae and Su-Chun as well!
نسيمه شاهين Nassima Shahin: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
M. C: I am very uncomfortable with conflict and try to avoid it at all costs. After joining, the studio made a significant change to their class times. The classes became much too late for my son, and I tried hard to arrange his schedule so he could continue, but he was leaving class so upset and exhausted and having to rush through dinner, I realized the new class time would not work for us. I called to pause his Taekwondo classes, and during this call, I learned that I could put his membership on hold but I could not cancel his membership without paying a fee. I was suprised to find out there was a cancellation fee, so I decided to ask what it was, so I would know for future reference. I was shocked to hear that if they "reserved the right to change any and all class times" and if their change made classes impossible for me, I would have to pay 25% of the remainder of the 12 month contract. I'd never been locked into classes for a four-year-old before, so I had believed that the 12 months was the period we were all hoping for, but I could never have imagined that they could make class times impossible for me, and then insist that I continue for 12 months.Anyway, I was just trying to learn about it, but when I expressed my shock and confusion, the director of the studio began speaking down to me and belittling me. He spoke to me as if I were a confused and absent minded mother who was probably too distracted by the children to understand the terms of the contract. This was so insulting, that I felt like it would be impossible to continue classes with a teacher who had been so disrespectful to me. So I began to ask more about their cancellation policy and express how unfair I thought it was when we wanted to continue classes, but they changed our class time. He hung up on me while I was speaking. After a while he called me back, and did not let me finish what I was saying. He did not listen to me or let me calmly express myself. I had to struggle with him to express my points in short quick statements because he was cutting me off and had already hung up on me once. Suddenly, I was in an argument, when I'd only intended to put my membership on a hold. My son adores Taekwondo and his teachers there. The director's treatment of me was cold, rude, disrespectful and even aggressive. Cutting people off the way he did and disregarding what I was saying shows a lack of respect and a lack of self discipline. How can I return to these classes with my son when I've been treated this way? How can I expect this man to teach my son respect and self discipline after he has behaved this way?Now I find myself in an impossible position. He still loves and wants to learn Taekwondo, and I know he would want to return once he was ready for this schedule, but I personally have lost trust in the company and do not want to interact with someone who has treated me this way, and who expects my family to uphold our agreement, while his company can alter the agreement at anytime according to his interpretation of the contract? In the end, the amount of money isn't enough to waste my time arguing about it, but the spirit of it shows a lack of mutual consideration, which some may not care about, but I think this is crucial to a society and how I like to conduct myself.I wish Master Chang's Martial Arts could right these wrongs so that my son could continue to attend these classes, but at this time I cannot imagine how uncomfortable I would be interacting with someone who was so aggressive with me for a mere inquiry. So, for others to be aware, according to what I was told by the director, you must lock yourself into a 12 month contract, with they can alter at any time, but you may not (technically, that does not sound like it meets the terms of a contract since they are claiming not to be bound, but again, that only matters if you care enough about the principal to contest it in court). The only way out is to pay for 1/4 of your unused months.
R. Chris Owen: We visited here for 2 trial lessons for our kids. Only after the fact did they tell us that their membership requires a 12 month commitment. If they had told us that at the front end, we have never walked in the door. But to make it worse, we are doing martial arts because our kids are painfully shy and have difficulty with new situations. So we put a lot of stress on the kids to try this place out, when we would have never tried it out in the first place. Now we will have to stress the kids out at a new place that has some class plans that fit with our family and finances.
Scott Tworek: Great instructors who care about the students. Highly recommend.
Tim Prati: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy family loves the family at Master Chang's in Cary. Master Bae and Master Su-Chun Mott. I look forward to celebrating many achievements with them.
Cathy Bixby: Positive:ProfessionalismExcellent staff! They possess great energy and excitement!! My son absolutely LOVES his classes. My husband and I look forward to watching him grow and truly enjoy watching the classes ourselves!
Sara Nicholson: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityMaster Chang's in Cary is a great facility. Small, but mighty ;) Very high quality instruction, good instructors, and very entertaining for my 6 year old boys. Teaches great values and lessons to them, like focus and general good behavior. I recommend for any child (or adult!).
Su-Chun Rain: Master Chang’s Martial Arts is a quality establishment. Energetic and knowledgeable staff, passionate students, and good family friendly atmosphere. Very happy to have my children taking classes here with Master Gabe and the rest of the staff. I’ve been a lifetime student of martial arts, but this place has been great to get my family involved with this passion. Thank you all so much!
Mack Jones: Amazing school, The company clearly cares about quality.
Tanya Fritz: Our son has been at the Master Chang’s location for over 3 years now... and his next test will be for the black belt. We chose Master Chang’s because they do a great job of incorporating fun while always maintaining discipline and structure. It has built our son’s confidence, especially since joining the Demo team. Earning his black belt is a great example of setting a goal and achieving it through hard work and effort. The staff care about the kids- and know everyone’s name!
Dai Tworek: We've been going to Master Chang, Cary for over 3 years. My son just turned 6 and we celebrated his birthday at Master Chang. It was incredible! They made my son feels so special. The whole experience was wonderful. Master Kim has everybody attention from the start. He was so good with the kids and got everyone doing Taekwondo including the parents. The kids and the parents loved it. My husband and I got so many compliments from our guests about how amazing it was. Ms Sarah was excellent. She was nonstop and took care everything. She went above and beyond our expectation. Master K was so funny and was very good at keeping everyone engaged . His positive energy was contiguous, everyone had a great time. The staff was amazing and made my son feel so special. My son was the center of attention. I would definitely recommend birthday party at Master Chang, Cary. You won't be disappointed.
J. Hulala: We miss Master J. Park very much.
Amy Mitlitsky: My son has been taking lessons for about a year and I have seen wonderful changes in him. He is a typical 7 year old boy with too much energy and they have taught him discipline and respect as well as amazing martial arts skills. All of the masters are wonderful and they make him feel like a part of the family. His grades have also improved due his improved discipline and confidence. Highly recommend this school!
Jessica Biswas: My son has been taking classes at the Cary location for a year now. He absolutely loves it. Master J Park and his staff encourage him to do his best and make him feel great pride in his accomplishments. He has definitely developed greater self discipline, greater focus, and endurance. He has made great friends and feels like a real team member. It's an excellent program for children and adults...you will definitely get in shape!

Johnson's Martial Arts of Cary: what do users think?
Brandon Butts: Instructor has over 25 years of mixed martial arts of experience. Internationally known.
Raed Hassan: Great place for kids to increase self confidence and learn life skills
Steve C: Great place to practice Martial Arts and great instructors. I will recommend to anybody who want to learn Martial Arts.
Krystal Lunsford: You have many options in our area for martial arts, but at Johnsons my daughter has learned so much more. At Johnson's you learn Taekwondo (it is not a belt factory, you learn and put in the work) but they do so much more. Our daughter was speech delayed (almost 7 before she would speak voluntarily) and delayed with all the things that come with this challenge. She lacked confidence, initiative and all the other things that come with being different at her age. She has grown in so many ways. She has found a home with the Johnson's family and loves learning new techniques and forms. She has found a strength I could not have taught her at home both physically and mentally. They teach the importance of respect, responsibility, confidence, and kindness. I love the fact she has grown in so many ways and has found her confidence with her new skills. She definitely no longer lacks confidence or initiative.
Sonal Shah: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMr and Mrs Johnson and all their staff are great teachers and role models for our kids. The positive learning environment at the studio has impassioned my son to practice Taekwondo with the Johnson’s for nearly 10 years. Their efforts to inspire young students go a long way.
Jennifer Kinsler: My son has improved on his ability to stand still and listen and enjoys the structure of the class. The JMA competition was so cool and so much fun for us to watch and him to participate in. My husband and I are glad we enrolled our son.
fawzia salahuddin: Johnson’s Martial Arts is our children’s favorite place to be, like most of the kids coming here.We love the staff’s professional positive attitude with the students giving them the confidence they need to be successful in various aspects in life.I looked into various other places but found Johnson’s very family orientated, spending time with the students with very high expectations from the students.I highly recommend it to the families!Great job!Fawzia Salahuddin, MD, MHS-CL.
Jessica Phelps: I absolutely love the leadership of each teacher at JMA. My 7-year-old boy is challenged and empowered by the curriculum and learns valuable lessons through the tenets taught. Would definitely recommend!
Rama Annisetty: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Arjun Chinta: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI am sending my kid since 5 years and it's been very effective and gave lot of discipline. The staff is very kind and co-operative. Glad to be part of this.
Jalice M: my children love learning here.
Steve B: Even in the early days of the pandemic, the JMA team kept classes going with many virtual options. The staff really cares about each student and spends whatever time is required to help them move forward. We are so glad we chose JMA for our kids. We highly recommend JMA.
janna harris: This is a great place to send your kids! They truly care about your child and teaching them values and TKD. The Johnson's are always available and respond. The teachers are great! The difference in 1 year of my child with discipline & paying attention is vast, and most of that was during COVID with on-line training! They did so much with keeping kids involved when we were all stuck at home and did so many things with on-line classes and continuing the kids training.Do not hesitate to send your kids here!
Suchi V: Positive:ValueIn life we need hard work, honestly and talent but at the same time we need people around to teach values it guides you when we are in low and high in life. JMA have such kind of people in my observation. Thank you JMA🙏
Sonali Dash: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat school where teachers actually care for the kids and teach them tenets of taekwondo that will help them throughout life. We are grateful to Mrs and Mr Johnson for having this school and having it open during the very difficult last year. Thanks you!
Diana Ivins: When our son Thomas first started in tiger cubs at Johnson's martial arts he did not like school in the least. He would wake up each morning and ask if it was a Taekwondo day. His excitement or disappointment at the answer to his question was all I needed to know. Taking classes at JMA wasand is very important to him. Now in 2nd grade his grades could not be any higher, but Taekwondo is still more important to him than school.
Sreedhar Gudur: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueDefinitely recommend to send your kids hear. I am sending all 3 kids and they are showing much interested. I like their skills and methodology of teaching the kids and motivating them. I did send my elder son to multiple places when he was boy and after coming here never looked up other in last 2 years.
Arianny Jimenez: We absolutely love Johnson's! My child is rather shy and I really appreciate how patient the staff has been with her. Lately, she's been a lot more talkative, disciplined, and really looks forward to her classes more and more. Thank you so much!
Neelu Pandey: I can’t believe it has been a decade long journey for us to see our 2 boys grow up with JMA. Mrs and Mr Johnson are great role models for their students, providing not only the martial arts training but also encouraging and involving their students to give back to community. This is absolutely a great place to train and learn values that stay with you for life.
Namrata Desai: We truly love JMA and all the teachers. The entire team has a great attitude and give personalized attention to the kids. We also love the flexibility of different locations!
Nicole Bell: We love our JMA family! The way they pivoted and supported their students during COVID was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend to anyone interested in martial arts.

Ancient Arts Family Karate/Ju-Jitsu Academy: what do users think?
sinto john: Very good place to learn Karate/Ju-Jitsu. My son has been practicing here for the last one year. One of the best Dojo's in Cary. Shihan teaches all classes by himself. Has a unique way of teaching martial arts to kids. Overall a very satisfactory experience.
Pedro Sojo: This is one of the best Dojos in Cary. Shihan has a good teaching strategies for kids. Is not just Karate training, if you take your time to observe the classes you can see some details of values knowledge for the life. I can absolutely recommend the Dojo, the price, the system and the teacher.
Yutaka Fukuzawa: This is a "dojo" that places great importance on the spirit of real Japanese ”Budo”(martial arts)Shihan, Master Don Isaak, teaches all classes by himself and cares about every student. He encourages motivated students to challenge new things and grow.My son loves learning karate under Shihan and practice not only in class, but also at home.He is definitely carrying on the spirit of Japanese "Budo" that he learned from Shihan on a daily basis.
Divya Shirke: We have been attending since August 2022. My son (now 6) recently got his blue belt. We attend twice a week. Hoping to start attending Fri/Sat too.I thought we might be enrolling too soon, but the lessons cover complex instruction broken down to smaller simple chunks that the kids can learn with repetitions. We have been very happy with the skills developed by my son under Shihan's tutelage. He has gone from a typical distracted 5yr old to a focused martial artist! Shihan is great with using positive reinforcement to encourage attention to detail, focused listening and even some lighthearted commentary that fosters community building. My son looks forward to his Karate/Jujitsu class. Shihan provides guidance for a well rounded Karate student - encouraging the kids to clean their rooms, be responsible, have good manners and even eat Broccoli!
Sanaa Rahimi: Great Karate school ran by an incredible Martial Artist Mr SHIHAN! Great value for the money and best place for our kids. They will learn valuable skills while having fun. Highy Recommend!
Rakesh Shirke: Shihan is a great teacher of Karate and after trying many dojos we have finally found our place. He takes all the classes by himself which works perfectly for the kids as they develop a lifelong bond with other students and Shihan. He also emphasizes vital social skills such as courtesy, kindness and empathy. I have seen my child come home and practice karate in his free play time and repeating words that speak of grace and kindness. Finding this dojo and Shihan has been a blessing for my child.
Uma Mahajan: Shihan teaches all classes himself which is amazing! My daughter has benefitted immensely. The school focuses on karate skills as well as grace, courtesy, respect for people. He often talks about the history of the technique and explains how beautiful this art form is. I recommend this place for kids and adults.
Katelyn Wright: We enrolled our son in this gym almost a year ago and for awhile things were going great but then as of Monday the attitude changed completely towards us. We informed the teacher that we were moving out of Wake County and he proceeded to call us liars and trust me we are moving. I can described the differences between businesses, my daughters gym was so understanding and offered us a recommendation and then this guy called us a liar. Yes there are a lot of positive reviews and that’s what I went off on but consider the negative reviews because they are very true. He is definitely money hungry and belittles the kids. We had hopes but unfortunately we were let down. How we were treated was so unprofessional. Would not recommend this gym.
Daniel Quinones: We started our kids a couple of weeks ago. They love it and so do we. Shihan is great with his students and fosters great behavioral qualities in them. Excited to continue to watch my kids learn from him!
Nivetha Rajan: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueOur kid has been going here for the past month and we are already seeing positive changes! He looks forward to the classes and has lots of fun. The class teaches discipline, as well as instilling confidence. We love it!
Paul DiMeo: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWhat an amazing karate dojo! Shihan insistently teaches every class to instill the ancient art of Okinawan Shuri Ryu. No games or prizes given. Advancement is only earned. Great experience for my son and couldn’t imagine a better dojo.Reminds of Karate Kid 2 every time I come. No other place I’d go!!!!
Heather DiMeo: We started a few months back and we are SO impressed with the amount of discipline and structure our son has learned from Shihan and his program. He is teaching these kids the top notch from of karate. Our son has done a complete 180 since entering the program. Our son also has ADHD and autism and this program has helped him regulate behaviors in the program and outside of the program. He has become a better listener and more disciplined which is doing wonders for him.We love that the parents can sit in and watch the transformation. It has helped us as parents better discipline at home. It’s nice to see a teacher/instructor not being afraid to teach the old school way, hold the kids accountable and mold them into the best karate students and fine contributing members of society. We LOVE this program! Highly recommend!
asiya ahmed: Hi, my name is Asiya Ahmed and I'm 13 years old. I've been going to this karate school for a year and a half, and I'm a black belt. Shihan is kind and he's really funny! He is always joking around and also teaches us a lot. I would really recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn martial arts.
I Love My Family: Expert instruction and the Owner/Chief instructor is very warm and caring! Highly recommended!!
Monika Fields: My 6 year old son has been attending his classes for a few months now and he’s loving it. Mr. Shihan is great with the kids and makes class fun but also teaching them discipline etc. I’ve already seen a change in my sons concentration and listening since joining which was one of the reasons we joined. Thank you.
Kim Ehasz: My son has been attending for a few months and loves it!! He’s learned so much and is excited to go every class! It’s nice to have place where the teacher is the same every week and expectations are clear at a great price too.
Michael Conforti: I give this place 5 stars, I've been taking my son here for a few months now and this is a true Karate studio, it really helped my son a lot! There is a great atmosphere and everyone helps each other. This school also teaches the kids to respect there parents as part of there training! But most important the instructor is awesome with a heart of gold, he truly cares for the kids and the community and that's something hard to find.Everyone should give this place a try.
Ann Pasion: My son loves going to his Karate Class. Shihan Don is not your regular Karate Teacher. If you want your child to learn and at the same time get the discipline to be better person, please enroll your child here. Kids in his class are being prepared not only to be physically fit but mentally tough & flexible.
Chase Hensle: For the last 3 years, we have been looking for a martial arts program for our (now) 8 year old son, and we have visited MULTIPLE Dojos in the area. None were right for our son until we found Shihan Don's Dojo.Years ago, I had the honor of studying Ju-Jitsu with a 4th Dan Blackbelt, who knew how to guide & develop truly focused martial artist. When we visited Shihan Don's dojo, I felt a kinship between of Artistry. And the fact that Shihan Don has the patience to teach these children with humor & humility, just proves that he is a great teacher worthy of the title Shihan.Just 2 weeks of instruction and we are seeing a great change in our son's attention span and listening skills. Teaching a class of rambunctious boys is like trying to herd cats. The way Shihan Don uses repetitive instructions to get the basic techniques ingrained in the beginner's class is inventive and fun to watch. You can tell he really cares for these kids.As much fun as the beginner's class is, I can't wait for my son to graduate to the intermediate class because I truly believe Shihan Don's style of instructions will give lasting benefits to my son's life.
kishwar firdaus: My 5 YO has been going to Ancient Arts for 3 months now and he loves it. I like the way Mr. Shihan teaches these young kids. They enjoy and learn at the same time. In addition to teaching karate, he also teaches good values which is a plus. My kid likes the class so much, he wants to go there everyday. Best part is that he teaches all his classes himself. I can clearly feel my kid is more confident now. As compared to other schools, even the pricing is reasonable and it’s worth every penny I am spending on the class. We had started with a 6 months contract but looking at my son’s progress, we have happily extended it to 1 year. Mr. Shihan motivates these young kids with his energy and passion. I am so glad I chose Ancient Arts.
Sankar Murugan: My son joined Ancient Karate last December and he has been for past one year. Shihan is a kind, highly disciplined person who ensures the kids enjoy the classes. This is the only place where in I find the instruction is given by Shihan himself. My kid loves his classes and excited to go every class. Karate has improved his mind focus-courage,overall health and self confidence. Shihan makes sure that every kid gets special attention. This is the place I really find it worth for every penny I am paying. We are proud to continue next year. Thanks Shihan for all your efforts and making a big difference in my kid's life.

Vision Martial Arts: what do users think?
Linda Williamson: Great School! I highly recommend Vision Martial Arts at Cary ten-ten. The kids have learned self defense, loyalty and responsibility.
Mike Andino: Amazing. My kids have really grown through this program.
Lisa Card: We have been attending Vision Martial Arts Ten Ten for 5.5 years now, they provide an amazing atmosphere for learning and development. Currently all 3 of my kids attend, my oldest just recieved her 1st degree black belt, middle is in the advanced class and youngest is in tigers. It has been something special to see them all grow into the respectful children they are with the guidance from great instructors. We highly recommend and will be continuing for years to come.
Lydia BesseyTolley: So great especially for exercise And mental health wouldRecommend getting a new belt fells so good sign up now at Cary ten-ten school :)
Keith Brandin: My son has been going here on and off for the last 2 years and recently committed to their leadership program so I signed up with him. I'm a big fan of good coaches and love to see the instructors here use good martial arts instruction to teach life skills like respect, honesty, etc. We both love the classes and go as often as we can.As an example of how they hold to belief and perseverance, I was in a class with my son as the only adult. We were working self defense. The instructor grabbed my uniform and refused to take a light grip because he believed I could break his hold even though it took several attempts to do it. They believe you can do it and encourage you to get there no matter your skill or age.
Bethany Fox: The experience at Vision Martial arts is second to none! We have a child in the Tigers program that is learning self defense, self-esteem and solid basics. The staff is great at creating a positive and constructive environment. My daughter and I also take class together and are part of the Leadership Program with amazing opportunities for personal growth, physical fitness, and mental stretching. There are often workshops with guest teachers from around the country that help solidify the basics and introduce more advanced techniques. Now onto the staff. All of the instructors create a positive environment for learning, use positive reinforcement, and on the occasion it is needed, discipline techniques that are relevant to the situation, focused on creating positive behavior, and always lifts the child up to the expectation. It is easy to see the staff loves what they do. Having been in an environment that was very negative this staff shines like the 5 stars I am giving for a review. For more advanced students there are plenty of opportunities for learning and also opportunities to lead classes with adult instructors. Looking forward to continuing on our family’s black belt journey.
Brittany Chambliss: My child first started Vision Martial Arts 2 years ago and has continuing to have a strong interest. During the past 2 years, she gained a higher level of confidence and leadership. Senior Master Beddow and Mrs. Beddow show dedication to the program, children and families. This program teaches overall personal development and we are overly thankful to have our child in this program.
Michelle DeSantis: My family and I have been a part of the Vision family @Ten Ten Rd for the better part of 10 years. The leadership, the compassion, the knowledge, the community, all reasons we've never left. They make you want to learn and be a better version of yourself. You'd be hard pressed to find a better taekwondo school.
Amy Southerland: The entire staff at Vision is fabulous. Our son has learned so much in a small amount of time. Not only does Vision provide great martial arts training, they also offer family-friendly events like Trunk or Treating, Summer and Winter break camps, Parents Night Out and more. Highly recommend!
Nicole Hanner: My son would live there if he could! Loves it!
Adib Kozlow: Our 8 year old son has gained so much confidence and developed his leadership skills because of the instructors and staff. I wouldn't take him anywhere else.
Brouck McCall: Sr. Master Beddow and his Wife operate a terrific training center with a great variety of martial arts classes. Their style is very structured, nurturing, and full of positive reinforcement. You can see all the students respect and enjoy their time in class. Highly recommend for all ages.
Aslem Muhammed: The staff have really helped my daughter to love taekwondo. They make her so happy.
Sarah Babey: We love Vision Martial Arts! My son is thriving and it's been so good for his confidence and his self discipline. Amazing team.
Brooke McLaughlin: We love VMA! The Beddows and their team of instructors are absolutely amazing! Our girls are thriving in the environment, constantly learning and growing. We are thrilled at how much they learn that extends beyond physical skills of taekwondo - discipline, respect, integrity, communication, and positivity to name a few!
David Cox: Our family has been going for the past four months and we are having a blast. We are learning lots of fun and practical taekwondo techniques, and enjoy watching our kids develop and get excited about it is really awesome. It’s a great learning environment and the instructors are really great.
Travis Amon: I would HIGHLY recommend this organization for anyone! We have our five year old in the Tigers program and he has absolutely blossomed! The instructors are world class and they provide an amazing experience!
Travis Bryant: Vision Martial Arts in Cary is phenomenal school. Not only is it an environment where kids and adults learn Taekwondo, but they also learn skills that they can apply to any aspect of life. The instructors are personable, patient and extremely professional. They provide students any and every opportunity to succeed. This an environment our family has been extremely pleased with and look forward to what the future will bring.
Chelly Pennington: I absolutely love Vision Martial Arts. My daughter started when she was 5 and got her black belt at 9. My son has now started and it’s so fun to see them bond over this. Master Beddow and his staff are sooo good with the kids! I highly recommend!!
Ragavendra Kumar: Great place to send kids to build their confidence level & discipline through martial arts. My 6 yr old son enjoys his Taekwando. Strongly recommend
Alena Garcia: There may be a lot of positive reviews but it didn't work out for me . I have had ten times better Martial arts classes for my toddlers. I just wasn't feeling it . The energy wasn't there. The lack of welcome from the actual teachers wasn't energetic. They barely had a response when I entered. The teaching was okay and that's about it . I will give credit to the actual teacher that signed us up . I personally do not recommend or like this center . If you miss your day for any reason , you can't make it up. Pay and go to every class or pay and miss your classes (no refund or make up class).

Vision Martial Arts: what do users think?
Katie Guess: We have been going to VMA for 4 years and absolutely love it. Master Wegman is great with the kids and it has taught our son so much about perseverance. We look forward to many more years and many more black belts.
Xiaoyan Zhang: Great experience. My son loves to go there.
Kendra Albert: My niece and nephew absolutely love being apart of this martial school. Amazing leadership program that helps build self esteem and confidence.
Steve Longwell: My 6 year old son has been attending once a week. Teaches him discipline and how to defend himself. I love it and he loves it too! Great teachers!
Carolyn Broedel: Overall I enjoy the classes and feel their program is competitively priced. I have been enrolled with my daughter for 1.5 years. My 8yo recently decided to drop out once our contract was up, but I have continued. I do not like having to sign a 1 year or 3 year contract though, and not a huge fan of the requirements to break the contract. I'm also a bit irritated that some of the classes and gear are only available to students of their "leadership" program, which of course costs more than just the standard.
Andrew King: My 9 year old has been coming here for a couple years and loves it. Highly recommend.
T James: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThis place is amazing! They are so patient with the students. They are able to get the kids engaged and focused while also having fun. Would certainly recommend!!
Man Phan: Great place for your children. It teaches them great leadership, respect, confidence, and other important skills.
Sarah Faville: We’ve enjoyed the entire staff. The instructors are amazing and my son has been making such awesome progress.
Vy Nguyen: My 6 year old brother is currently enrolled in their beginners program, and it had improved his confidence and respect greatly. He was a shy kid that was hesitant to engage in anything if he doesn't see someone familiar. Now, he's being a leader in his classroom while excelling in his classes. Every time he comes home from his lessons, he always eager to show me and my parents what he learned. I cannot express how much Vision Martial Arts have been a positive for my brother and family.I also joined the 6 weeks program during the summer and it was so much fun. It was affordable and allowed me to work on my physical health since I then had an obligation. It was amazing and I highly encourage any one who is busy to try the 6 weeks program just to dedicate some time in the day for yourself.
jonelle Albert: Vision Martial arts is an amazing place to learn Taekwondo. Senior Master Wegmann has a gift for connecting with her students and making everyone believe that nothing is impossible to achieve in class with practice. All of the instructors genuinely care for the students. My family and I have been members for almost 2 years.
Cassidy Turner: We've been practicing with Master Wegmann for about a year now. What started as twice weekly lessons for our son has turned into a family membership with at least one of us taking class 4 nights a week. There's classes for everyone, the instructors are so friendly and personable and it's clear they care about each students success. The leadership program has been helpful for all three of our kids, developing each of them in areas whey they weren't confident in their skills. This is a great school for any age and any level of experience!
Jasmine Sade: Ms. Lebovich and Sr. Master Wegmann and can’t forget Mr. Ti, they are absolutely amazing and I have seen a great difference in my daughters confidence level and strength since being with Vision Martial Arts.
Life Unedited: Master Wegmans is so great with the kids! Very engaging even to the very small children and gets them excited about the programs. Highly recommend!
Alex Turner: The best place to come! All of my kids enjoy every lesson they do.
Warren Curran: Maddox is 4yo and has absolutely LOVED his experience with Vision Martial Arts! The instructors interactions with the young kids has been simply amazing! His behavior at home has improved tremendously! Thank you for such a great learning environment and experience!
Ceara Lassiter: My daughter has grown so much with VMA! She thinks it’s fun and a great educational opportunity.
Panda family: The instructors are kind and supportive, ensuring everyone can learn. They continue teaching past black belt, continue learning to be better instructors, and support their fellow instructors.
Heather L. Leonard: The staff at Vision Martial Arts are helpful, skilled, knowledgeable, and caring. They help parents teach their children to be good citizens and grow in confidence and strength. These are skills that will assist them in life as they set goals and accomplish more than they thought they could do. They are also great with adults. My daughter started and then got the rest of the family to join and together we are becoming black belts.
Seth Howe: Positive:CommunicationOur son attends this academy and loves it! Nothing but wonderful things!!!

Snap Kick Martial Arts - Cary, NC: what do users think?
Dennis Davidson: I visited the Dojo and was very impressed with Sensei Letournue .
Tara Simmons: Snap Kick Martial Arts has helped my son be more confident socially, more disciplined physically, and more focused academically. Thank you for offering such an integral part of the development of children in our community!
Norcott Pemberton: I know the instructor Tony Letourneau who is extraordinary in helping children develop confidence, skills, discipline and compassionate ethics. There are many adults who are better people for having worked with him in their formative years
S. T.: According to my 8 year old son, Sensei Letourneau is "a very good teacher". He finds him "very helpful" and appreciates that he makes sure to teach him how to do things correctly, rather than "ignoring" areas of possible improvement. The sensei is also good about giving positive feedback when appropriate. My son also said he feels like the classes help him learn how to "focus" and "listen". We're happy with this dojo. Along with the positives already mentioned, it is a great way to provide exercise after long days of sitting at a desk at school.
Paul Furr: Snap Kick is a knock out! Professional and kind instruction. The kids have a lot of fun while learning skills that improve focus, concentration and stamina. I highly recommend to enroll today!
Sorkis C: An amazing place! My Nephew loves this place.
James C: Awesome instructors! Tony rocks!
Daiana Almeida: Experienced teacher, kids engaged and focused with fun and respect to the martial arts. Green place for little ones
Miranda Evans: Snapkicks has been a positive experience for my son! He started the little samurai class when he was 3, scared to try anything new on his own. Sensei Letourneau’s persistence help Ethan gain his self confidence and be able to try new things without mommy and daddy! He looks forward to going to karate and practices at home without any encouragement from me. He even says goodbye sir goodbye ma’am when leaving every establishment we visit! Thanks Snapkicks!
Josely Guzman: Before enrolling my son in Snap Kick Martial Arts (SKMA), I had zero knowledge of what karate/martial arts meant. I thought that karate was only about fighting, and I was wrong. My son has been attending SKMA (Cary location) for over seven months, and I have seen many changes in him.Within two months of joining, he was recommended to be part of the Black Belt Leadership Program, which reiterates that each student is a leader and must have a leadership attitude. My son is an emotional individual; I have seen him use the skills taught in his group and individual sessions and apply them to his personal life when confronted with situations that would have blinded him with emotions and made him withdraw. Not only is he learning how to defend himself, but he is also learning respect, he is gaining more confident and no longer afraid to communicate his feelings respectfully. My son is a perfectionist, and he is finally starting to understand that perfection is not essential as long as he doesn't give up. He has created friendships that show him support and kindness regardless of their belt level. My son is always eager to attend each session. He is passionate about learning new skills, learning about the history of the Katas he has learned, and always trying to understand the connection of specific skills that are relevant to everyday life and in certain safety situations.Sensei Letourneau is truly amazing! You can tell that when he is instructing the students that he genuinely has a passion for what he does and that he wants his students to have fun but also understand each session and leave the dojo with deep satisfaction and understanding of the lessons.Mr. Bryson (Black Belt) is also a fantastic instructor. He makes every class fun, and the students love him. He is very knowledgeable, and you can tell that he loves teaching martial arts to the kids.I would definitely recommend signing up your kids!
Diem Bui: My son has been taking classes here for a little over 6 months and he has enjoyed it through and through. The instructors here are so great with kids. A perfect mix of stern yet patient and caring. The dojo itself is organized and clean. As a mom, I appreciate and would recommend a safe space like Snap Kick to learn self-defense and discipline!
BECKY DAVIDSON: We've been coming to the Cary location for over a year. My son loves being there 2-3 times a week. They make learning fun while teaching respect, dedication, and commitment.
Monica P: We've only been with Snap Kick for a few months and it has truly been an excellent experience. Sensei Letourneau and Bryson are so amazing with the kids. Our 5-year old son has opened up so much and we've noticed how he's since matured in many areas. Sensei Letourneau is committed to excellence and continues to meet our son on his level while also boosting his confidence. We appreciate our village here and all of the support. ❤️ It's one of the best decisions we've made for our family. Highly recommend!!!
Kirsten Zillman: (Student:) I have been doing karate here for about three months. I am a Little Warrior and I really like karate. I have a very nice sensei, he makes learning fun.(Parent:) Both of our children started doing Karate here for the first time this summer and we have been very impressed by the quality of the instruction. Sensei Letourneau does an excellent job teaching kids of various ages and abilities in a way that is fun, safe and challenging. We would recommend this dojo to anyone!
Ryan Parker: Our time here at snap kick has been great for our sons growth and development
Amy Bates: We love Snap Kick Martial Arts in Cary. After moving to NC from VA, we were concerned about finding a dojo for my 8 yr old. Needless to say, Channing loves Sensei Letourneau and his leadership. The classes are small enough for the individual attention he needs but large enough to provide interaction and instruction with others in his belt level.
MONIKA C: Bring your child they will enjoy learning martial arts and leadership.
Rafael Cruz: Buen lugar para que los niños aprendan sobre la cultura del karate y disciplina muy bien recomendadoGood place for children to learn about the culture of karate and discipline very well recommended
Nana Okyere: More than teaching the martial arts, they're installing discipline and leadership into these kids.
Ana Banana: Joining Snap Kick was a great move for our family. Our two boys love the Williams family, the instructors and the community. Highly recommend!
Michelle Bradley: They help teach focus and discipline while caring and engaging the students. Both my kids started at 4 years old and love it. Parents love the community too!

White Tiger Taekwondo & Martial Arts: what do users think?
James B: This is for you if you’re searching for a solid Martial Arts experience!! White Tiger is also an official Korean Kukkiwon certified local Tae Kwon Do & Hapkido school! Young children also have the opportunity for a special Tiger Tots program. There is also an adult Lady Tigers program for women only self defense as well as Chinese Kung Fu Wing Chun!My family has been training over 3 years and thoroughly have enjoyed the classes, instructors, facility, events, etc.Come over and try it out!
Eric Laino: Great Hapkido program.
Inna Dye: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThis school teaches real martial arts and their certificates are authentic. Classes are fun and inclusive. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. They make you feel like family!
not Josh: I like this place I have been here for 3 years and I'm getting black belt in November I learned a lot and will never forget this place btw as you can see I'm a student
anonymous anonymous: If I was a competitor which Rondy has clearly thought I was. Then I wouldn’t have known Nicholas Champitto. As he was a person that trained there at the time I was there. I had only switched because I noticed that Rondy cares only for money. I also knew Natalie Elder.
Rua Mordecai: White Tiger is great school full of caring and dedicated instructors. I've been going there for almost 3 years - starting at the old school then moving over to this new one. The instructors really want to help you reach your goals. I doesn't matter how old (or young) you are or whether you're in great shape or totally out of shape. One thing that impressed me the most when I first started coming here was the effort they put into making every class a little different. There is a set curriculum, but the warms-ups and exercises you do for much of the class are a little different each time. It took years of going there before I went to class that was exactly the same as one I'd been to before. That really helps make every class fun and interesting.
Kristen Mosiniak: This review is more so for the marketing team, or whomever controls that, rather than the facility itself. I took a workout class appx. 3 years ago there and had a decent experience. However, I have received multiple emails weekly from White Tiger. I have unsubscribed from them at least 10-15 times and I even personally emailed with no response back. At this point, it's harassment that I'm still receiving White Tiger emails. Also, to whoever is commenting back on these reviews, you might want to show a little more compassion to people expressing their experiences with you. Your replies are not a good look for the establishment. They're full of hate and very defensive.
Jennifer Jones: This posting/review was a mistake. I am not a student but a family member of a previous student (parent), however my account is not new nor am I from a competitor. If I could delete this I would, but now it is out there and all the pettiness of your response to my previous blank review.
Kaitlyn McCarthy: I have been a student of White Tiger since I was about 4 or 5 years old. When I moved away due to my fathers job relocating us, I chose not to continue training at a different, out of state doe-jahng. When I finally moved back to the area, I was welcomed back at White Tiger by Grand Master Rondy with a smile and open arms. White Tiger was my second home during my childhood, and is still my second home as a young adult. Having to re-learn all of the material (thats my fault for not continuing practice - even at home!) all of the instructors have been so patient with me. White Tiger has always been a family, and I have always been proud to be apart of it.
Mert Ozbahcivan: Just think about money
Bianca S: (Note: I am posting this on behalf of my son). My name is Andrew and I am eight years old. I started Taek Won Do when I was 5 at White Tiger. I have had great Masters and instructors who have taught me TDK over the past few years. I have learned a lot from them!I started out as a white belt and have received my first degree black after 3 years of hard work. My current goal is to receive my 2nd degree black belt next Spring.TDK has taught me to be very focused and disciplined. I enjoy going to White Tiger and taking different classes including forms, sparring, and board breaking. White Tiger has a demo team and I was very excited to be chosen to participate. Each demo team rotation is for six months and I get to perform at birthday parties, local and school functions and even march in the Cary Christmas parade. One of my favorite summer time activities is to attend the White Tiger summer camps. The camps are a lot of fun and include TDK class, arts and crafts, water play activities, and more. There is something for everyone at White Tiger no matter what rank you are. I would recommend other kids to come to White Tiger and learn about TKD and also have a lot of fun!
J B: Nice, motivating environment with remarkable functionalities in a large place. Fun programs for kids. Interactive and encouraging in general.
Shvinsky Su: Awful, Awful, AWFUL!This place is disgusting, I never met anyone that is properly deserved to be a master. Especially, the head of this place is not even a human, she is horrible! I would never send my kids here!
Moira Duncan: I started training at white tiger from the age 11 on to 17 and had the best experience. Trained on their elite team and received my black belt. Not only did I make many great friendships but it helped me get through my teenage years in a positive way. My entire family trained there. Now 27, I have children of my own who are excited to see what the big fuss was about! I’m super excited that my kids are now old enough to go to their events (New Years sleepover). If you’re on the fence, just do it. It’s the best school in the area and wouldn’t go any other way for authentic training.
Raj Kirtikar: I Have been training at white tiger for 3 years now. Today I am testing for 1st degree black belt. The staff, instructors, and masters all care about you, and helping you achieve your black belt.
Heidi Balkema: Great energy. The staff is very helpful and courteous.
Geoff Booth: Amazing facilities, dedicated friendly Instructors and a wonderful training environment.
Arturo Leyva: A very good place to learn martial arts and enjoy time with your family!
Jen Dubrule: Joining White Tiger Taekwondo has been a very positive experience for my family. When we were looking for a Taekwondo school I did a ton of research. I am so happy that we ended up at White Tiger. The masters and instructors are very knowledgable and always willing to help out and answer questions. My boys love the diversity of the classes. There is sparring, self defense, forms and belt level classes. Each class focuses on something different so we are always learning. I highly recommend White Tiger!
Sherry Cataldo: I have been training at White Tiger TKD for over 11 years, receiving multiple blacks belts in two disciplines. I have been there through the many changes that you may have seen commented on in other reviews. I can state that there is no other school, any where like White Tiger! We are a family, a close knit one, and the school becomes a second home. There will never be one school that perfectly fits everyone in every situation and that is often where the negative comments and nay-sayers evolve from.Grand Master Rondy McKee and Master David Wright fully support and encourage their students to be not only the best martial artists that they can be, but the best individuals! The glowing reviews you see posted are from students or parents of students (I'm both) who truly love our school and use our actual names when posting our reviews, not made up names from made up [laces of employment - like the most recent negative one throwing accusations at WT. I'd invite you come visit and form your own opinion about our school, I personally think you'll love it too! When I became involved with the Blind Judo Foundation a few years ago, both Grand Master Rondy and Master Wright, whole heartedly supported my involvement, so much so that GM Rondy allowed me to organize a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu charity seminar with all the proceeds going to benefit the Foundation. There aren't many schools that allow, much less actively encourage, outside instructors and Masters to come to their schools and teach other disciplines to their students. However, GM Rondy and Master Wright recognize and actively seek out these types of additional trainings to make us better and well rounded students and martial artists. She worked with me to find free mat time in a very packed schedule, so that I could bring Professor Derek TC Richardson and his team from Leadership Martial Arts in Charlotte to train our students. Professor Richardson, in turn, donated his time and expertise. Our students received an outstanding seminar that complimented their current training while donating to a wonderful organization.Additionally, GM Rondy invites world renowned martial artists in a variety of disciplines (Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do, Hapkido, etc) to do seminars at White Tiger for our students. How many other schools can you name that would do the same?I encourage you to think critically when reading the negative posts about White Tiger posted anywhere and come visit before forming your own opinion.Respectfully,Sherry Cataldo
Gary Wright: White tiger is a great place to have your kids learn structure and dicipline. My kids love going to see instructor kremmins. Every time we get in the car to leave they are already excited to return.
