Wake Tech Community College Bookstore: what do users think?
Katerrell Barnes: I thought that Wake Tech would be a good choice regarding schools to attend when deciding to go back to school. Unfortunately I’m now regretting that decision. The campus is confusing. Signage posted is not helpful when trying to locate a department. The signs from the street only has the letters of the bldgs but not saying what department is in the bldg which will have you driving all around until you run upon someone who happens to be walking to get clear directions. The bookstore on the North campus doesn’t have books for all programs offered so you’re directed to contact the main campus who never answers the phone and have hours that aren’t cohesive with all working adults schedules. There’s it an option to have books delivered when ordering online. Needless to say Wake Tech overall could definitely do better in these areas of concern.
steve Mellas: Quick easy had just what was needed for my daughter
Selena Nederhoff: Clean, lots of stock, looked like a great place as an on-campus bookstore.
Rosemarie Vaughan: Great staff, very helpful
Amber Wood: They never have proper books in stock, they never buy back books, everything is incredibly overpriced and you’re basically screwed if you need to do a return.
Jay Ross: Been calling since 11 am this morning have yet to get response. Your staff are lazy and incompetent it sucks this is the only bookstore that can fulfill orders for online students. 0 stars need to be an option because that’s what this store deserves not our money.
Jadyn Victoria: This location is absolutely horrible. This is unfortunately the only bookstore for the wake tech online courses, and not the first time it’s happened to me either. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they CHOOSE to be like this.I’ve been charged multiple times for a book I never received (backordered twice). Upon calling the northern campus store, this location has had my book in stock the whole time and never sent it when i paid for it. I called and left a message, I’ve emailed multiple times, and I get no response. Their phone (no matter what # you push to talk to someone) goes right to voicemail or it actually rings and goes to voicemail because they’re too lazy to do their job. I still have no book and the semester started. After they charged my student funds twice, I had to pay out of pocket for a book through Amazon because I haven’t gotten a response and can’t complete my coursework without it. If you work a normal 9-5 job, good luck trying to get there because they’re closed when you can get there. Every complaint you make falls on deaf ears. The financial aid department will tell you “the bookstore is busy” and can’t do anything about it because you need to contact the store (AND CANT GET AHOLD OF ANYONE).They’re messing with people’s money, education, and time.
LISA M. JOHNSON: Really nice and professional people
Kel C: I have a great experience with Wake Tech and its Accounting degree department. The instructors are helpful and will work with you if you let them know. I would highly recommend Wake Tech.
Thomas Joines: Hard but fair... best-valued education probably in the country. Made the best friends of my life so far here. Amazing amount of different perspectives. You will not regret going here if you put in the work and open yourself up to it.
Michelle chimal: This place stay Pack. But the make sure you have everything you need for College.
Emily Roberts: This place is horrible. Do everything you can to purchase materials somewhere else. One of my books was backordered for so long that I missed multiple assignments. They NEVER answer the phone or respond to emails. When my book FINALLY came in they did not even attempt to notify me. Thankfully I was in touch with my professor about the situation and she let me know when my book was ready but I still had multiple 0's in the class from not being able to complete assignments. They need to answer the phones and respond to emails. I wonder if anyone at this place is competent enough to pick up a ringing phone or log onto a computer. Or do they think students attempting to further their education and get good grades is a joke?
Carlos Lanza Jr: Decent college store to buy your course books and others.
Jaquan Wilcox: If I could give one star I would. The customer service here is horrible. They never answer the phone or emails. Once you get in the store they blow you off and offer no help. Been waiting a laptop for a month now and still nothing. While I understand it’s an issue with the third party, some blames on them too. I ask at what point do they step in to reach out to the third party to say we have order just waiting when are going to get them. The lady told me oh you’ll just have to wait until the system updates that they shipped. I ask what happens if I wait three months oh you’ll just have to wait. Oh yeah to put the cherry on top since I can’t return the laptop whenever it magically appears because it’s 14 days pass the order date.
Sydney Kestner: Have emailed several times and called about getting a refund but no response.
Sydney Burrows: Awful communication if there are issues (or in general really), not sure what workers are doing all day for orders on REQUIRED books and codes to take so long and phones not be answered by any of the numbers throughout the day. Chris is the ONLY one the company should worry about keeping around and the only reason this review is not one star. Thanks for actually doing your job Chris! The rest of you need classes in competency.
William Price: Absolutely horrible shopping experience. Staff does what they can, but since it’s run through Barnes and Noble, they can only do so much.
X2118826 Crane: why do you not help students at all!!!whoever is writing all these good reviews, how much are you paying them to lie for you? how much!!!
Gustavo Alvarez: Hermoso lugar de estudio.
Ghanna Alshoofy: it's a nice place to visit, friendly employees working there and good affordable stuff
Jacinta Bratcher: Great customer service

Learning Express Toys & Gifts: what do users think?
Mary Plourde: I recently went to North Hills location with my 1-year-old daughter, and we had a great time browsing the selection. We found a few new toys and books that she’s been exploring and loving. The staff there was so friendly and helpful.I also appreciate that the store offers a variety of educational toys that are designed to promote social-emotional learning, problem-solving skills, and creativity. These are all important skills that I want my daughter to develop, and I'm glad that I can find toys that will help her learn in a fun and engaging way.
Ashley Galliher: Great place to find squishmellers
Rusty Shackelford: They have so many jellycats toys! My baby son loves them and had such fun picking out some new ones. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. Great experience!
Galatic Cat: Fantastic, fun place to be!
Rebecca Slater: I’ve been here a few times through the years. It’s always been “good”, went back today and it’s “WOW”. Maybe they are under new management- it’s no longer a store but a destination, a true experience. Like the sign at the door says, step into fun and nostalgia. I keep thinking about how fun this place was to walk around in! Very helpful employees that are just as excited about this experience. I have never known about a line of stuffed animal called Jellycat before- this was a showstopper. I just stood and stared - toys as art!Their rewards program is just a marketing program- no “reward”, but I’m not dinging them for it.Can’t wait to visit the other locations to see if they have all been reinvented. The feeling this place gives you is addictive! Serotonin high!!
Zoe Miller: Awesome place!! I love the staff, and the products here! The stickers are adorable and it has changed a lot over time. It's somewhat calming in there now. In the past there were kids on scooters running around the shop and stuff, now I don't see why, but it seems like less kids come here, rather, the parents getting them gifts. I do love going here though!!
Randy Spain: Creative ideas for children of all ages!
Dan Radez: Great selection and free gift wrapping! Seems like we can always find a good gift at Learning Express for any age.
Amelia Shaw: Learning Express is one of my favorite stores to go to with my kids. We moved here about three years ago and were looking for a particular game and a couple of birthday presents and wanted something unique and super fun. They have so many great products- and such a great variety!I remember walking in the first time and it was a little overwhelming and hard to find things. It didn’t really make sense in how it was set up, but I noticed that the last few times I walked in that the store felt “organized” and it was so much easier to navigate! There were lots of little additions that made it more fun to explore the store. It was more inviting, engaging, and somehow warmer. The staff were all super helpful and honestly seemed like they cared that we found toys that suited each individual kid.The biggest issue now is that we spend about 3x the amount of time when we visit and end up walking out with a lot more stuff! Especially the Jellycat area- it’s probably where all three of my kids come together and spend the most time. I’d complain, except it’s awesome that my kids (11-15 years old) all find things that are engaging and bring us together as a family. Playing and laughing together is exactly what we need! Keep doing whatever you are doing!
Zack Roos: Been around for years great store with cool toys
Christy Tucker: Always a fun selection with options for toys and gifts
Travel Twins: This store had lots to choose from for all ages.
Wendy Sutton: All of the employees encountered were friendly and helpful!
Frank Hedderich: Amazing kids store.
James Conklin: Great selection amd helpful staff.
stephanie lagunas: This place has some of the cutest stuff and I love there plushies. I will say that things are very expensive but it is very worth it. I’m pretty sure this store is mainly for kids but I as an adult love it here and recommend going if you love cute kid thing lol.
J. Franks: A really nice toy store with a good variety of things for kids and adults. Certain things are a little pricey, but they do have quality items for sale. Check it out and see for yourself,
Joseph Miceli: Wonderful toy shop, amazing selection and very nice staff
Allie Pyles: Already love LE. Our first stop for birthday presents for the kids' friends. Free giftwrapping!
Kelly Little: Great place to go for educational toys.
Frankie Newman: Great store for kids!! Great selection of all kinds toys and enough to keep all kid ages busy. We drove 3.5 hours just my kids could shop!!
