After speaking with Harris, I drove to Chapel Hill with my son who is attending the derby. He had an entire outfit put together, including bow tie and scarf! Not only was I impressed with his taste, I was shocked at how well he listened to my description of my son's taste. The look was "derby worthy" and a classic look for future events. They even had the alterations completed within 24 hours. It will be my go to store for any events my sons (all in college) need that "look" to attend.

When I came in the first time just dropping in, Al and Kay sat down with me and showed me an extensive collection of fabrics. They are the most knowledgeable and skilled clothiers that I've come across and they took the time to help me find exactly what I wanted. Also, they did a very extensive measurement and will talk you through it so that you know exactly what you are getting. When the jackets were made, they worked with me until they were exactly what I wanted. Also, it is a real pleasure to visit the store. Al and Kay are very kind and welcoming and great to speak with. Compared to my old tailor in Manhattan, Alexander Eton is much better in every regard. Highly highly recommend!

Michael Bruno: Alexander Eton is my new “go to” shop for men’s clothing.My first experience with Alexander Eton has made me a life-time client. In the market for a new suit for my daughter’s wedding, I decided stop by Alexander Eton to check them out. I was immediately impressed with styles, quality and selection of suits, sport coats, trousers, and casual wear they had in the store. The owners: Al and Kawther were warm and welcoming and focused on my needs. Asking questions about what I was looking for, my style preferences, where I intended to wear the suit, my preferred colors, and so on. Only after they understood my interest did they show me suit options. As we looked at suits in the store, I noticed they offer full custom suits. With only 4 weeks to the wedding, I figured there was no way I could get a custom suit made in time…I joked with Al about a possible custom suit and the date I would need it, he smiled and said, “no problem”. I came back the next day, got measured, selected the fabric, the buttons, the lining, the lapel type, the pockets, pant cut, pant waist type and even got to choose slanted or straight (working) buttonholes on the sleeves of the jacket. The entire process was great with Al and Kawther making suggestions and recommendations throughout.A little over 3 weeks later, I had my suit. It fit perfectly and the quality and style are amazing. Other than my daughter, I do believe I was the best dressed person at the wedding. Thank you, Al and Kawther, for your amazing quality and service. I will be back.

Douglas Clayton: I got a beautiful charcoal suit from Alexander Eton recently and the experience could not have been more enjoyable. He was able to accommodate me on a Saturday afternoon and walked through the entire process of choices. There’s a lot that goes into a well tailored suit that I didn’t know about, but luckily he’s got a great eye for detail. The suit arrived about a month later and fit nearly perfectly. Definitely will return for any clothing I need in the future.

John B: Alex is a master at his craft. He patiently helped me review fabrics in more books than I can count. Once I picked the fabric we faced the hard part- the fitting. After multiple orthopedic surgeries I needed a suit that hid my surgical deformities. Alex took more measurements and photographs to assist his master tailors. Being extremely careful his tailors made a pattern that served as the basis for my suit. Four weeks after my order the suit arrived and fir perfectly not needing any further adjustments. He also had a shirt custom made to mirror the measurements of my suit- again it fit perfectly. Lastly knowing that I believed that the tie helps bring out the best in a suit Alex assisted in choosing two very unique ties.which gives me choices depending the occasion and the statement I want to make. I am so pleased my next suit will be made by Alexander Eaton clothiers.

Mike Lance: I appreciate the care that was shown toward me during my first visit. I originally came to purchase a suit. Instead, I was given a lesson on exemplary customer service. Upon entry, I immediately noticed how cordial the owners were with the customers...repeat customers. No rushing, no one left idle...everyone was at a different stage of the suit selection process being properly addressed. When it was my turn, I was guided on a tour of several suits with amazing fabrics and designs. The owner suggested a suit design that best fit me, asked for my opinion, and took the time to properly measure me. Granted, you pay for what you get, but the experience of having a well-fitting suit that pops is worth it. The suit was ready within a matter of days and was hand-delivered in a fashionable Alexander Eton bag; however, the greatest assist came when the owner highlighted an error that I made regarding the purchase of ill-fitting shoes that I received from another company. His recommendation was above and beyond his responsiblity - I appreciate that he assisted to ensure that the total presentation popped and not just the suit he sold. I absolutely plan to visit again in the future. Thank you for valuing me as a customer.

I will bring back all of my alterations!

I had a man's regular-fit kurta that I needed tailored to a slim fit and a woman's kameez that I needed altered from a medium to size small. The owner, who does the alterations, is extremely knowledgable and gave a lot of suggestions on how to alter the clothes in a way that wouldn't ruin the beauty. She got the alterations done on time and they were perfection! Her prices are extremely reasonable - a great value for the quality of work. I'm currently gathering more clothes to take to her. Her work is SO good.The store is a little overstuffed and chaotic with merchandise, which is why I'm giving this four instead of five star. However, the service and quality of tailoring is a full five stars!

My husband and I were recently invited to an Indian Wedding Reception that suggested Indian Formal Party attire. I was so lucky to find Indus Fashions and a lovely woman named Shabana. As soon as I walked in to the shop, I was struck by the beauty, quality and fine selection of ensembles displayed. Shabana quickly put me at ease with her warm welcome and smile. She also put me at ease when I explained my concerns about choosing something that was figure flattering and appropriate for any customs I might not be familiar with. Shabana had no problem pulling at least 7 outfits for me to try in a variety of styles and colors. This gave me a chance to really choose rather than settle on something given my size is large or extra large. Compared to other places I had been, the clothing had finer fabric, embroidery, and size selection. Working with Shabana, I felt like I was on TLC's "Yes to the Dress"...she really helped find the one outfit that fit me so well, flattered my figure, skin color and felt like it was "my dress" made for me...that feeling of feeling more pretty, more beautiful and more confident came over me. It was truly "Yes to the Dress" customer service and experience. Attentive, personal, aimed at making the customer look and feel their best in fine clothing at a reasonable price. Thank you so much Shabana and Indus Fashions, we will be back for my husband's formal wear and my daughter's Valentine's dress.

He not only gave fantastic advice on the best way to have them fit me, but even reworked a few of the pieces to fit my frame perfectly. They came out exactly how I envisioned them and exactly how he pinned them!The prices were extremely fair (I averaged around $50-60 a piece, some being way more difficult than others! And we're talking almost a complete reworking of half of the clothing!). Every piece looks like a couture designer item now and it was absolutely worth it!He's dedicated to customer service, and his expertise in designing and making his own clothes makes him by the far the best tailor I've ever met. There isn't a single article of clothing he can't tailor to fit exactly what you're looking for. Highly reccomend him!!
