My parents moved into Shangri-La trailer park when I was around two or three years old and they stayed there until we moved to Neil’s Crossing in Fuquay, when I was around six years old. I have some of the fondest memories of my life in Shangri-LaMy first best friend, a little boy named Raymond - lived right next-door. We played G.I. Joe’s and He-Man every day until Mama would call me in for dinner.Down the way from us was a little girl named Melissa who also became one of my best friends and I kept in touch with her all her life.She and I used to collect a little Monarch caterpillars- putting them in paper envelopes and sellIng them to our neighbors. We would go door-to-door thinking in our little five year old minds that people there would actually want them, and you know what? They did. They would pay us a dime for each caterpillar. :)I remember making snowcones outside with a Snoopy snowcone machine, I remember my Michael Jackson poster on my sliding closet doors. I remember meeting a bunch of other neighborhood kids and making a playhouse in a bamboo forest on one of the streets of the community. I will always remember how exciting it felt to divvy up the rooms in that bamboo glade. I remember my dad building me and my little sister a blue and silver metal swingset where we would we play our days away. Watching the Muppets on our living room TV, looking at my dad’s bookcase with all of the Stephen King novels. Seeing Drew Barrymore’s flame framed face- at the time she was a girl not much older than me- on the book jacket for Firestarter. I remember adopting a sweet tabby cat there that I named Jason, who I later realized was female. The sweet memories I have of Shangri-La, I will cherish forever.

Stephanie Robinson: If you love living in mold, mildew, and feces coming out of your sink, then this is the place for you. This place is nothing more than a high end slum property. I lived in not one but two houses over here! The first house had a sewage issue so bad that it would over flow in the sink and washing machine it also had mold. The only thing they would do is unclog it when it over flowed once a month. Right before the lease was up, they gave me 1 day notice to move across the street. The new house had an internal leak in it. I received a water bill close to $400.00 the first month. The City of Rayleigh contacted Code Enforcement because the leasing manager Michelle was and is nasty and unprofessional and refused to fix the issue. After the city MADE them fix it then the mold and mildew began. It ruined much of my property and made my family extremely sick. After all this, Michelle had the nerve to send me a 60 day notice to vacate right after Christmas. I gladly vacated after 30. Michelle then had the nerve to send me a false 10 notice to pay rent or be evicted a week AFTER I moved! I have never been involved in a more dishonest group of people in my life! I am often asked based on my job about rentals and I always warn people about Parish manor. These people don't care how the property is as long as they get their money. If you say something they are nasty to you. Don't move here!

Parallex Star: After calling over the weekend to ask about units available, a nice gentleman told us three units were listed as vacant. He was very kind and stated he was not sure how many bedrooms were in each unit or when the units could be listed as available to rent--there may be cleaning still being done, etc. Monday morning I contacted the leasing office to ask about the rentals and the lady, whom did not give her name, that answered the phone stated she did not have any available units. I explained someone had told us over the weekend three were vacant. She explained further that one had burned down, one was waiting on cabinets (and stated that could tale up to 6 months), and the last one was completely gutted at the moment.Now, I physical went to look at the addresses that were listed as vacant from the outside and inside my car, very briefly over the weekend. None appeared to be burned down. None showed evidence of debrie recently removed like flooring or wall interior in the grass. In fact, all three units looked fairly decent from the outside. We felt like one of the three would be a decent shot at finding a place to live and save up money to purchase our forever home in a year's time. The woman running the leasing office is very rude and obviously not the best at managing property communications. Unfortunately, either way, she informed us that have a no pet policy as well. I'm not able to forego my cat for some snobby woman would has an ego complex.Would not recommend anyone to deal with her on a month-to-month basis.

No entiendo la renta está demaciada alta creo que ay mejores lugares de renta de 1195 estoy seriamente en mudarme de este lugar ni te dejan tener mascotas ni que te visiten ni nada si tienes a un animal de visita ten cuidado !! En fin es un lugar bueno pero para el precio muy alto no vale la pena los parques de la comunidad necesitan tener más juegos para los niños las personas de mantenimiento son espectaculares

Alexandra Rodriguez: Lived there for two years, almost 3 with no problems but as soon as we left they looked for any little thing to charge you and at outrageous prices, I understand that we didn’t leave the house in perfect conditions but we tried. Not only that we left furniture outside, thinking it was okay to do so because we saw other people do it and they charged us 700. When we called to see why they had charged us so much they said they tried calling us but we received no phone calls not even an email, to later find out the trash is still there and we could’ve picked it up that day, mind you I’m writing this review a week later. It’s unfair they way they treat their former tenants !Don’t recommend you rent from Parrish manor, prices are outrageous anyways, main reason why we left in the first place!

The owner is a great person, if you ever have a issue you can go to him with it. It’s a quiet, safe neighborhood with for the most part great people.On another note, I’ve never seen in 32 years, the authorities sitting at the entrance like Cristen Munford has stated. She DOES NOT live here. And what were you doing up at all hours of the night? Meth is a helluva drug I guess.

paula lang: I have lived in this park for three years. In my experience if you go to the owner with a issue he tries his best to correct the situation. I own my home and rent the lot I am on. Owners pricing is far less then what is being asked for lot rent in the surrounding area with water and trash included. When the above water issue was being investigated the owner had crews and the city looking into the situation. It was resolved as soon as it could have been. I can not attest to the previous review of rumors and such but where can anyone live and not have some kind of neighbor drama. It is not a large park so we have one maintenance man and the owner who do the repairs. If it is above and beyond their capabilities the owner will call in the repair personnel as needed. My surrounding neighbors are very nice and I have never had a problem with anyone in the park. It is a quiet park and my son and I have no plans to move anytime soon.

Angie Ramon: Worst place to live in. Faulty septic tanks and owner doesn't care. The maintenance guy instead of giving maintenance to the mobile home park he goes around spreading rumors about the tenants and is in everyone's business. The owner claims gets very upset when money has to come out his pocket to maintain the property. He has even made his tenants pay to pump their own septic tanks! Ridiculous! Stay away from this place! It's unhealthy and unsanitary.
