Vernicia McDowell: I arrived at 12:45. They couldn't find my insurance for over 30 minutes... they forgot to add a zero in front. They didn’t even think to call my insurance company so I DID THEIR JOB FOR THEM AND CALLED….. they THEN SAID “we aren’t allowed to talk them them.” EXCUSE ME…. HUH? Even the Davis insurance guy told me to go to a different location. During this they told me I needed to wait an additional 1.5 hours because the doctor is going to lunch when he could've completed my 6 minute appointment. I get back and they are all rude to the point another client and I were BONDING over it. My toddler was exhausted because we were now there for 2 hours. We then take the exam and the first lady was amazing. The actual doctor, James Yarborough, was extremely not friendly. It was extremely uncomfortable as he was huffing and rolling his eyes because my toddler was clearly upset that we were in a eyeglasses doctor for now... 3 HOURS. I then get my prescription and they completely forgot to add the PD distance and asked me to COME BACK IN to get it if I wanted that information..... I was then put on hold for 35 minutes.Once I pickup my glasses I will NOT be back to this location as they are all over the place AND not friendly. NOT a good mix.

Understood what I wanted and needed. Was very sweet and personable. Always smiling. Helped me decide what was best regarding insurance. She repaired my old frames and adjusted some that were for outdoor chores. I had a good experience. Can hardly wait for my glasses to come in. Sharon was a pleasure to work with.

Then while waiting hearing a woman waiting saying she's been waiting more than 2 hours for her exam. All appointments are virtual. Meaning you read off a screen. No way in anything are getting an accurate vision check on that note. I wound up walking out. I've never had an eye exam be an all day event. Ever. This was a first and won't try again

Leenie125: I went here 3/30 for an exam. Took my prescription to Costco, bought 3 pairs of glasses, went out of town for 2wks picked up glasses last week and can’t see out of right lens in all 3. Costco checked them against me prescription and said my prescription must be wrong. 5/10 I call LensCrafters and they refuse to see me without charging for a new exam because it’s been more than 30 days. Manager Ari T. Did not care about the fact that myPrescription was wrong, didn’t check with anyone else perhaps the Dr. to make an exception just said that’s our policy and Everyone signs it when they come in. Warning, this location doesn’t care about customer service, they give you the wrong prescription and tell you you have to pay to correct it. I will never go there again.Follow up: I went back to my usual eye doctor at Walmart and he said my prescription was definitely wrong. I had to pay $95.00 for another exam which Lens Crafter Optometrist would not refund. I then had to have all of my glasses changed to the correct prescription and can finally see out of them.Save yourself money and aggravation, go to Walmart for an accurate eye exam and Costco for glasses (90 day guarantee not 30 like LensCrafters) For all 3 pairs of progressive glasses, including Jimmy Choo and St Laurent scratchproof, 1 sunglasses with drive glare my out of pocket was only $200.00 with my insurance. And Costco has excellent customer service.

Abuel Ito: I’ve been going to lens crafters for years and I haven’t had any problems until I went to the one in Cary, NC. I went to renew my lenses and got my frame super widened. They offer to sell me new frames but that wasn’t the point. I took perfectly fitting glasses and I came back home with a super wide no fitting frame. Their solution was to sell me a new product for the one they broke and didn’t take any responsibility. Really bad customer service.

The staff was absolutely amazing, greeting me the minute I walked in the door, directing me to the glasses I wanted to look at, making suggestions without being pushy. I wasn't able to get a glance at everyone's name tags, but I will call out by name Angel, Andrea, and Tiffany. All three were nothing short of amazing. And my glasses are perfection. Austin Wood: Went here in emergency with something in my eye Dr supposedly removed it. I went home still in pain and looked in mirror and could visibly see the object. Unhappy with the care I received from the doctor.
Bill MacMillan: I think they do a great job as optometrists, but recently I can't seem to reach them on the phone for scheduling. After I connect, I get automatically transferred to the operator, who hangs up after 10 or so rings. This can go over several retries.Also--they add a surcharge for use of a credit card. Be prepared for a 3% upcharge to your bill if you need to use a card.

This place is all about making money and has no empathy for patients anymore. The manager and staff are rude and obnoxious and don't provide any good care and value. Management is not accommodating and show's absolutely no care for the patients.

From day one in visiting Dr.Canting’s office, I felt the warmth from his entire staff. Dr.Canting is one of a kind. He is the only doctor that I will allow to look into my eyes. He is fun, professional, thorough and explains everything in detail. T Noyb: Big mistake going to this place. This business recommended progressive glasses for me which they were eager to charge for from my insurance & copays from me. But since discovering these new glasses were causing double vision while driving at night I contacted the office about it. They insisted on another exam for a fee of $64, of course, which I refused. I already had the annual eye exam with them & paid for the more expensive progressive lenses glasses recommended by them which are causing the double vision. I don't have any vision problems with my old glasses. This place did not fix the problem, will not give any refunds nor accept any responsibility! The office manager said they will not do any refunds. So I am out of money on glasses I paid for that don't work. Except for the 2 people that sit at the front desk who are always nice, rest of this office are just greedy & rude! Taking my business elsewhere.UPDATED: This place is also dishonest, besides just being greedy & rude!! It’s unbelievable!! Answer to their shameless lying response:1. I notified them of the vision issues within 3 months of picking up the glasses, (NOT 8 months!!). And the lab offered a 6 month warranty.2. The manager came up with some weird lie about how how they don’t have my copay & the insurance billed amount. According to her: all that money approximately $1400+ was collected by them & sent to the insurance company and I needed to contact the insurance company for any refunds. They said I would not be able to remake the glasses after 30 days of picking them up even though I was told by them that I needed to give it more time to get used to wearing the new progressive lenses.3. I was told to bring in the glasses but they insisted on an eye exam for a fee. I declined an additional exam explaining I was not having vision problems with the old glasses only with the new glasses. Then I was told to come back again with both old & new glasses to figure out the problem. I asked the manager to call the lab to get them remade or fixed. She said there’s little to no chance the lab would do that since it’s over a month. I said after waiting to get used to them, after about 3 months I realized it was also causing double vision when driving at night which I rarely do and I notified them as soon as I found that out. But upon calling the lab at my insistence, sure enough, the lab had no problem agreeing to remake the glasses because there was a 6 month warranty. It was just the office/owners that were not eager to start the process. Then the manager says the lab will make it for single vision so I asked her about a refund on the extra money charged for the progressive lenses that don’t work. Then she lies/says that you will need to ask your insurance company for that. They sent all the money they collected from me to the insurance company. This made no sense.4. Lastly, when I was waiting to be helped, another customer there asked what was going on. So I simply told her my glasses are causing double vision and I am having a hard time getting the problem resolved. Me talking to another customer according to the manager/owner’s wife is me causing a disturbance & now says that I’m talking trash about their business and I’m not welcome there! If the other customer reads this review, I hope she will comment and validate what happened. We were having a conversation and the lying manager used it as an excuse to not do anything about the glasses! If the prescription is bad, they should not charge for a second exam, if the glasses are made badly, they should replace it. If you are now wanting to make only single vision lenses, then refund the difference you charged me.I will make it a point to call them out on their lies.I was a customer for 3 years & treated with their fake niceness until I wanted a refund for the difference or them to fix their mistake!!4. My insurance confirmed that they had no problem crediting me for glasses/exam that was bad and to collect the copay refund from your office. But you’ll make any excuse to avoid a refund.

It's pretty simple to say there is a charge upfront, or just tell me you you don't do that for non-patients. Don't put in the screw then announce it's $5.00. Sorry I pulled you away from your important conversations with each other as no one else was in the building.

Dr.Canting literally is saving my eyesight. He is the only Optometrist that noticed I have narrow angle glaucoma. Today I was in for new contact lenses, and he wouldn’t let my leave without the staff making an appointment for me (tomorrow) to get the help I needed for my condition. I cannot say enough about the care and empathy I have been shown at this office. And I adore that Dr.Canting’s wife works there also!! She is so sweet & taught me in 2 minutes how to put my contacts in & take them out-after my own million failed attempts.God definitely put these wonderful people in me life....thanks to them, I am on a happy road to seeing life a little more clearer.🙏😊

Jason Chamberlain: I went in for a routine eye exam. I got in almost as soon as I arrived. The doctor was very good at explaining what she saw with my eyes and explaining my prescription options. The receptionist worked very hard to figure out what my insurance coverage was like. I would say that she went well above and beyond with the effort she put forth. Finally, I was glad that they gave me a printout of my prescription (including my pupillary distance) so I could get cheap glasses if I wanted. It is clear that they are a doctor's office that also sells glasses rather than a glasses shop that happens to have a doctor in it. I really appreciated that. They aren't in my insurance plan's network, but I'm happy to pay a premium to go to Cary Optometric. It was a great experience and I really appreciated how they took care of me and how I saw them take care of others.

Vadim Dmitrochenko: My first experience with Dr. Rousselo was wonderful.I was scheduled for an eye check-up just three days after my call, without having to wait a week or two as in other optometry clinics. I was seen at the exact appointed time, with no additional waiting. The staff was pleasant, and his attention to detail and comprehensive answers to my questions were impressive. Instructions were not clear that I cannot stand at the side of the table. I didn’t get what she talked at first because she was just sitting on her chair at the far right. I understand what is HIPAA protocol. But you should put a big Sign that I cannot stand at that side . She talked to me as I was talking with my husband over the phone. Very disrespectful. Very very rude…I have no complaint about the doctor as the doctor is great. I hope this will be addressed. This just happened last Saturday.

I arrived and was seen at the appointment time which was great. The doctor was very knowledgeable. The medical assistant did a great job with some high tech optometry testing equipment. They have a nice selection of frames and sunglasses. I’m happy I found them and will be a patient of theirs for a long time to come.

Everyone there are the best of the best. Never felt so comfortable and satisfied with the entire procedure. They really take their time and not just answer your questions but explain what they say so that you understand. I am 64 years old and for the first time in my life I can see! I am finally able to both see and read signs, addresses, price tags and most importantly my phone and my computer without squinting with both my new glasses and contacts!!!
