Scott Williams: Played golf here at a organizational golf tournament. Swanky clubhouse and very nice course.Edit: Played here again yesterday at another tournament. Man this course is excellent. Great to perfect shape. 5 stars.Edit: played here again on 6-26-2023 on the 'Fairway' course. Tees and greens are great. Grass on fairways was a little thin.Overall still an amazing club.

Jeff Philips: The setting at this location is absolutely astounding! I have been attending an event there for the last 10 years. While the service was OK, it was not outstanding as it had been in the past. This is the reason why I did not make this a 5 star review. I understand that the building was sold and is now under new ownership. The new staff was not nearly as accommodating as the previous staff. I certainly hope this isn't a sign of things to come. If so, I will let you know.

Randy Rich: One of the best courses in the triangle.

Thumper Hines: Attended a conference here. The facility was cozy, the food service was prompt and fresh, and the ladies' restroom was spacious and CLEAN. Looking forward to the next visit.
Charlene Wicker: This course I am sure would be much better in season. However for the time I was there they had just sanded the greens and the shots would not hold on the greens nor hold the line of your putt. Plus the fairways were scarce of grass .Again due to the season. But still not much fun. Can't wait to play in warmer weather and better conditions

The Golf Course is truly spectacular and you will enjoy playing it whether you are a high handicapper or scratch golfer! The view from the 18th tee box is unmatched in the Triangle. If tennis is your thing there are 8 clay courts as well as hard courts too. Sitting right on MacGregor's lake you have a spectacular view to enjoy your favorite beverage after your match! I know my family and my clients have enjoyed everything the Club has to offer and the food is yummy too. If you want a club that feels like family come join us!

Jay Klompmaker: It is one of the finest courses I've played. It is a great golf experience for the higher handicap player yet challenging enough to be chosen by the USGA for one of their national amateur championships. The course is always well-conditioned. the staff attentive and courteous, and the food great - especially when eaten from the back porch of the clubhouse overlooking the 18th hole. There is a beautiful, four-suite cottage for the use of out-of-town members overlooking the large Practice Area. This club has everything the discerning golfer expects.
Ronald Coulson: Old Chatham Golf Club lives up to its National reputation. The uncrowded golf course is maintained to championship conditions. Challenging, but fun to play. The professional staff is attentive and the classic clubhouse inviting. The large back porch overlooking the 18th green is my favorite. Wonderful golf experience…truly a special place.

George Leight: Still the best kept secret of all golf courses in this area even though it is the highest rated course by the NC Golf Panel and the only course in the area to host a USGA National Championship - 2019 US Senior Am. Beautiful and challenging - maintained as a firm, fast, championship level track with fast, smooth greens. No real estate component so just a beautiful walk through pine and hardwood forests.
James Bick: With only 18 holes and no houses on over 400 acres in the center of the Triangle, Old Chatham is a unique experience. Maintained in championship condition, it's a privilege to play year round. Limited membership ensures easy access and great service. Fantastic practice facilities, including large two-sided range and new short game area.
Allen Wilson: An retreat in the middle of the RTP that just happens to have the best golf course in the area. Quality of the experience only exceeded by the quality of the membership. First class all the way.

Heather Massey: My father was not feeling well and needed some water. He was on the verge of passing out. He asked one of the maintenance employees if he could have a bottle of water from a case he was standing beside. The employee said that it was for employees only and wouldn’t give him anything. My father stated he wasn’t feeling well and needed water. The young employee still said no. This makes me furious. Clearly at this golf course they could care less about people’s state of health.

It is truly an exclusive and every very very special place, with wonderful genuine and amazing people, every single one. The course is beautiful, always well manicured an extremely well-kept, and of the highest quality among any golf courses around the world. The members are friendly, polite and you get to meet fascinating people. Can’t recommend this special place enough for amazing golf experience.

Don Quick: Went here for a memorial service for a friend. Only saw part of the clubhouse, but was very nice inside, and their kitchen provided snacks which were very good.

Tom McSweeney: Charity wine tasting and dinner. The wines were great, but you can't judge the country club on that, because they probably didn't pick them. The food was excellent! Appetizer was sausage over apple risotto, different and tasty, paired with a nice Pinot noir. Entree was beef, they said it was tomahawk steak but no bone, perfectly med rare, tender and juicy. Side of mashed potatoes and spinach. Paired with a big Italian red wine. Creme brulee with a slice of candied bacon for dessert, with prosecco. Maybe 75 people, and it looked like all the meals were done perfectly. Seems like a great place to hold an event!

Charles Whittemore: I was there for the first time attending a fundraiser for The Joel Fund. All the staff did an awesome job and went out of their way to make it unbelievably fantastic. The food was the tastiest it could be.
Jennifer Nance: We had a fabulous experience holding our wedding at The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation. We especially appreciated Courtney Tatum, the director of catering and events, who is phenomenal to work with! She helped us plan our wedding in less than six weeks, and every detail was flawless! She found for us and coordinated a great florist, 2 amazing musical groups (a string duet and flamenco band), and even recommended a great photography. She was so sweet, responsive and helpful, and she knows her stuff! We were so grateful for her experience, and felt like she truly cared about our happiness and satisfaction with all of the details of the day. The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation is very lucky to have her on staff, and I look forward to planning future events with her!
