Dwayne Holst: I have read some of the low star reviews for this company, I don’t understand them. Jordan oil has been supplying our propane for over 15 years, they are honest, highly reactive to anything you ask and above all very competent. Our water heater completely died last Thursday night, they were out on Friday with a new unit and had us up and running by dinner. This was a difficult job as we decided to go with a tankless heater so they had to run new plumbing to feed the demands of the unit.In general, their customer service has always been extraordinary. They are always kind and courteous and highly responsive any time we call them. Highly recommended!!

They can out the following day while it was still snowing to provide service. Keith Miles: Website indicates in multiple places (text, map, and zip code lookup) that they deliver to Lee County but the lady who answered my call said they don't deliver "beyond Moncure", a village that isn't even in Lee County.1-star for false advertising. Tom Colhoun: Jordan Oil has supplied me with fuel for over 30 years and have exceeded all expectations. If I ever had any issue they were quick to respond and came out immediately to take care of any perceived emergency I thought I might have. They have serviced my home and business without fail and always responded professionally and timely. They are extremely knowledgeable and respond with a team of service professionals that can handle anything thrown their way. I would recommend Jordan Oil Company and have for years to anyone looking quality and service in reference to propane, gas, fuel oil, BBQ equipment, or propane logs.

Mike Caron: I had originally contacted a different propane company to install a tank at my new house and was told they would be sending someone out. After waiting almost a week, I decided that they were not actively seeking my business and told them to forget it. I then called L.G. Jordan Oil with whom I had done business before. Everyone I dealt with from the office personnel on the phone to the tech who installed the tank was very friendly and helpful. They even buried a line to my gas grill with quick connect couplings for my convenience! Great company and great people.
Ken McAdams: I have used Jordan Oil for propane services since 1989. I have always received good service from them, and they have always been a pleasure to deal with. When I have had technical issues with my heaters, or have had new equipment installed, they have been very accommodating and easy to work with.

This week we were told that we were not in their service area(despite their website saying we were in the service area) by a different and very rude lady who hung up on us.
Raundi Thirtythree: SCAMMERS if not simply HORRIBLE in every way! Buyer/Customer Beware! A scheduled tank fill turned into an unscheduled inside home visit, without prior notification or authorization. Aside from physically pushing his way into our home, the lady of the house was scared due to the size of the man and is MANDATE that he WILL COME IN! After inside, she rushed to the phone and called me. I got the gentleman on the phone and he was very sarcastic, did not listen to anything we had to say and while expressing my concerns of a stranger working on parts of the home without so much as official identification being presented and be cleared, he BROKE our furnace valve (which was old and fragile and operates 'differently' than newer models). Technician refused to provide signed copies of documents and told us to take it up with the company. A phone call to the company owner resulted in Customer Being Labeled a Liar because "the technician of many years would have NEVER done such a thing and that we must have our facts mixed up". Then the owner chuckled at his own response. Furthermore, Mr. Jordan clarifies they have over "3000 Customers so what is one more" that if we were unhappy with their company then we should find another. After many years with them with an account in great standing, this is simply amazing!TERRIBLE - at best. Proceed at your own risk.NOTE: we have been without heat for over 3 weeks now while we save up for a 700-1000 dollar repair in which Jordan Oil takes ZERO responsibility.Want simply the facts - all worked before their 'senior technician' arrived. Interesting, huh? I suppose this IS a way to bring in more cash for their business, no?

I was out at a local restaurant with two other coworkers when we ran into the owner. He went out of his way to introduce himself and bought our lunch to show his appreciation for our business. There is no doubt the success of their business is due to the relationships they build with their customers.
Chad Lynch: KB Johnson oil is fantastic! Quentin, one of the employees, spent at least an hour to an hour and a half to find fittings for me to fix my gas grill. Total cost, $4. These guys were so patient and kind with me that I am never using anyone else for propane. I don't care if I have to fly from Texas or California back to Fuquay North Carolina, I will only use them because of their kindness, honesty, professionalism, and above all patients! I simply cannot recommend them enough!

After he left ($108.12 later) I triedthe blower - did not work - called the office, they said they would relaythe information to hIm. That was 12 days ago. So far, no response. Nomore K. B. Johnson for me.

Catherine Campbell: In addition to great propane service, I have had an excellent experience dealing with KB Johnson Oil in helping repair both my propane grill and expensive Viking stove. The grill was old and pretty well shot, or so I thought. It is a Broilmaster and the outside was still in great shape, but all of the insides were in bad repair. That included the burners, grill grates and even the briquettes. My husband had tried to get parts to fix it, but no one seemed to have them. I mentioned to my representative that I guess I was just going to get another one, and he sent a repairman out to quote the repair. It was done fast and efficiently and within a reasonable budget (much less than a new unit). I was so impressed that I asked for a quote on refurbishing my Viking Range. The 20 year old stove is now in excellent condition, a result I only could hope for! Good Job KB Johnson! Thank you.

Matt Roberts: They never fixed a leaking tank and sent me to collections for tank rental fees on a 1963 leaking tank 6 years after I told them to remove t from my property. They finally came and actually picked up the tank after 5 1/2 years.
katie mccracken: If I could give zero stars to this company I would. We are new parents with a 9 month-old and in the year and 2 months that we have been with suburban propane we ran out of propane 3 times while on their “never run out” program. That means I was in a house with an infant enclosed to one room with a space heater, while it was 40 degrees in my house 2 times this winter. It took them 2 days (2 DAYS) to come fill up our tank while I was pregnant and it was freezing last winter. We thought there was something wrong with our hvac because the meter on our tank was broken and they took months to send out someone to fix the meter! The workers are all lovely human beings but the ownership and management couldn’t be more pathetic. We asked to end service and they sent a contractor out to dig up the propane tank without scheduling anything with us, asking for our consent, explaining the process, or telling us how much it would cost! Customer service hung up on me twice when I tried to get an answer to how much it would be. Now they are trying to charge us fees for removing their property that we also paid monthly fees to rent during service, which I would be mad about, except it’s probably the best money I will ever spend to never have to talk to their useless customer service. All in all, this is the worst company I have ever worked with; it’s clear they only care about money, and do not provide any value or consistent service. I hope it goes bankrupt and burns into the ground.Oh, and that response below every bad review of “we’re sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. We’d like to discuss this further” is just a red herring. Don’t buy it.Bye bye Suburban Propane! We are so much happier without you.
Tim Warrington: Ordered gas when tank read 20%(500 gallon tank) 10 days later on a Friday, called at noon and was told they were delivering today. Call back at 5pm and was told the driver could not get to tank because gate had lock on it( third time they used that lie) 140 year old farm, never had a gate, fence or lock. You can see tank from 3 tenths of a mile away. Asked for supervisor and he said they would be there for emergency delivery in 24 hours. They never showed up, 38 degree weather, had to buy three large electric heaters from Walmart. Just lies!!!!
Victor Velazquez: Have now placed 4 calls asking why the level payment plan jumped $200 per month when the usage didn’t even cost the total of the last. Multiple calls requiring to be transferred to local office and no one gets back to me. Awful.

Malen Wilson: Worst company ever!!! I bought a home that had their tank on it. They sent someone out and we talked about how much propane I’ll need for the year. I ordered said amount. Not 6 months later they come back. Fill up my tank completely, without my approval. Hand the bill to my 6 year old child, not even me, and stick me with a near $600.00 bill!!! I call to complain, as any rational person would. They said I don’t get to decide on my fill up since I rent the tank. I asked what happens if I cancel, they charge me $800.00!! to come get their old tank that’s been in this yard forever. On top of this, since I did not approve or NEED my tank filled, I am going to have to pay a monthly fee for NOT needing fuel!! This company is Corrupt and dishonest! They claim I signed a contract, sent it to me... it’s NOT my signature. Not even close!
Daniel Albertson: Unfortunately, this is some of the worst customer service, I've ever received (actually there's been no customer service received to this point). I called on Dec. 28th to have my tank refilled. I was told that since it had been two years since the last refill, it needed to be inspected and have a leak test. I agreed and was told it was scheduled. On Jan 2nd the tank was filled, and the driver informed me he had to lock it until the inspection and leak test was done and made it clear not to ask him when that would be because he doesn't know. Fast-forward to Friday, Jan 25. No one has showed up to do the inspection and leak test. I called, and got kicked out to the national call service, who took my number and assured me that someone would call me back. No call back. Monday, Jan. 28 at 10:30 am, I call the local Suburban office and was told how sorry they were and that they would check the schedule and call me back "in just a few minutes" to schedule the appointment. No call back. I called back at 2:30 pm and spoke with the same representative who, again, was "so sorry", and would call back in "just a few minutes" to schedule the appointment. No call back. Well, at a little before 5:00pm, I called back and the office was closed. So, this morning, Jan 29th, at 8:30am, I called and asked to speak with a manager. I was told the "systems" were down, and again how sorry they were, but that the manager would call me back after she gets the systems back up.I guess you can image, I'm holding my breath on that call back. It's been over a month since I requested the refill, and have paid for the refill. The tank is only for gas logs, and in a few weeks, they won't be needed any more.The morale of the story is, if you have any other option for propane provider, choose anyone else over Suburban. Everyone I've spoken with on the phone has been really nice, and, unfortunately, extremely ineffective.
Christopher O: Horrible service!!!. Ordered delivery 9 days ago. Called yesterday and told them that I was out of propane. I asked when it will be delivered. They assured me it would be delivered that day. It wasn't delivered and now we are into a very cold wknd without heat and hot water.It is now MOnday evening and no delivery. I called this morning and again multiple times throughout the afternoon. They have stopped answering the phones. With a bad cold front coming, we are moving into a hotel tmrrw. With no heat and cold temps i am worried about pipes freezing. I cant believe this is happening. I will be contacting an attorney.Please people, dont ever sign up with this company. I have never been treated worse. I am in shock that i cant live in my house because a company wont deliver the propane i ordered 2 weeks ago.
EA Patton: Horrific - I do not know how they keep any customers. Ancient technology - no way to provide an update on when you will receive propane. Delivery folks are as nice as can be but at mercy of what they are told to do. Avoid this company. No stars.
Moif: Unfortunately, aside from the kindness of the actual technicians and the people in the office (when you can speak with them) - the disconnect in between the customers and what actually happens is absurd.My first interaction when I began using their service was bad. Because I had transferred my account from the previous tenant, Suburban took it upon themselves to disconnect my lines, and then tried to charge additional hookup fees.And if you think you are getting a hold of them via the phone, good luck. I hope you like the dial tone.
Cheryl Dillard: Horrible Customer Service - been waiting for a month to get a tank delivered and you can never talk with anyone who knows anything because of the "high call volume" - all you get is recorded junk and no person. Wouldn't recommend using this company at all. I would give a Zero stars if I could.

Thomas: I was at U-Haul on mechanical Dr. There was four people running the counter and one guy outside cleaning the trucks. They said they would be right with me as I looked around the room and saw absolutely no one inside the building but me. I went outside and sat by my truck and waited for 35 minutes. I'm too much of a nice guy to make a disruption so I went back inside there was still no one inside and I was still not being helped I decided to look up online and see who else sold propane I spoke with Brian on the phone he was only 5 minutes away. He was a very nice guy he filled up all three of my 20 lb propane tanks and he now has a customer for life. Five Stars across the board I recommend going to Brian for propane!

My wife turned to me and said "no way they're already here" as we heard the truck beeping back up our driveway.We just moved to this house, this was our first experience refilling the tank.
