Cary Psychiatry - Allison Mikel M.D.: what do users think?
Audrey Anderson: May have missed a few things but diagnosed me correctly. Were harsh but competent in how they access.
Leslie: They’re good, but not perfect. Problem is that they don’t send out referrals for patients who really need them. I feel as if I get better responses if the doctors file the referrals rather than me. It’s as if therapy locations don’t take people seriously unlike the doctors making the referral. I never get responses, but if the doctors make the referral, I get a response immediately the next day. It’s difficult working with this place to get help for my son. We can’t figure out the right medicine regimen. He’s a difficult case as he has severe depression and anxiety. So much so that he’s been hospitalized 7 times in one year. They do continue to try to figure it out, which is something I highly respect.
Brett Dunn: I've been a patient of Katie's for several years now. She listens and responds when I have any issues with my medication, and is happy to provide alternatives when some side effects are too much to handle. Front office staff are friendly, polite, and willing to work with you on payment if you communicate with them.
Tarra Fuller: I had no problems with this office until they charged my card $320! I called them originally because my claims were stating I didn’t owe anything. When I called I was told my visits from July and October were denied. Heather and I agreed we’d look into it. A few days later while I was at work I received a voicemail from Donna stating she wanted to discuss the issue and get it resolved by the end of the year or possibly the end of the month. 15 minutes later I received an email that they charged my card $320 because they aren’t in network with the way my insurance works. (My other provider had no problem filling out the providers form in order for me not to be charged as I get 5 free visits a year) They said I could get some reimbursement by submitting the claims myself. When I called the office back and spoke with Donna she stated it was their policy to charge my card and there was no way around it. I don’t even recall telling them to ever put my card on file especially to charge me hundreds of dollars without my consent. My whole family was sick at this time which added even more stress on our lives. It seems they care more about the money while draining a person’s bank account than respecting their patients.
Samantha K: Moved to NC before COVID and found that scheduling’s always been flexible for my work with telehealth, and I have the patient portal which helps me talk to my doctor if I got questions. Staff workin in the office are always up front & explain stuff to me, and helped me get my insurance to cover medicines. I feel cared about & listened to. Also seen Katie for medicine and she’s great too.
ex Multiples: Office staff give wrong information then blame the patient for being upset. Provider is never on time. Staff throw up barriers and do not know how to "meet patients where they are at" . Office staff will say one thing but something totally different will happen. SMH
Johnny Cameron: I will say this practice has awesome Doctors. My son and I have been very happy with them. Recently, my insurance changed to BCBSIL which the practice accepts. The office charged my credit card for appointments without notifying my of issues with insurance claims. Multiple times. I have been told by BCBS that claims have not been submitted, I was told by the front office they were denied. I have to assume they are being submitted but something is off. Rather than work with me to rectify the issue, they simply charge my credit card on file with no notification to me, I am left to find out from my credit card statement. The same happened the following month with my sons appointment. When I complained of them charging my credit card without notice they stated "that's our policy" The charges are less the issue than the total lack of communication from the front office or the unwillingness to investigate the issue with the insurance. I stated if they would not promise to notify me when charging my credit card that I would have to find another provider. They stated they would not. Unbelievable to me that I would be dismissed so easily when I have always had insurance or immediately paid my account. I asked for notification. The office staff are great when there is not an issue, when there is you can tell what they are really about. $$$$$$$
Blake Dennis: Best and most professional group of health experts I've ever dealt with, Katherine Myers has taught me so much about my health and shown me how to be a healthier me. She has helped me with my attention deficit disorder and depression, she knows all of her stuff, she's made so much improvements and takes her time to explain what she prescribes or recommended. She is my go to for all my health problems, she even referred me to some doctors about other health concerns. Thank you for all that you do for me and everyone else.
Savannah Felton: The receptionist, Heather, is an absolute sweetheart. She was very kind on the two phone calls I had with her. She made me feel super welcome and safe at this medical practice. I had a Telehealth meeting with Maggie Evers and she was super observant and kind. She listened to everything I said and took my experiences and concerns seriously. I will not hesitate to come back or to recommend Cary Psychiatry to my friends!
Jessica Kettenbach: The office is beautiful, staff is friendly and efficient, and all the care providers take my concerns seriously.
L i v i a: Dr. Mikel has always been very kind and caring during our sessions. She is a very down-to-earth person. Relatable and a good listener. Her office staff (Specially Donna) has also been very kind and patient with me.
ashley lewis: This place and staff are extremely accommodating. They are very professional and friendly. They make it such a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend!
Gina Desorcie: I can't say enough kind things about Dr. Mikel. She has been an answer to a prayer for my family. The office staff is super professional and goes up and beyond with the little things. I am so thankful for this practice. I would recommend 1000%.
Christopher Dewitt: I just want to post this as a warning to everyone to not share any of your personal information with this office unless you are 100% sure you want to have them as your provider. I never officially set up an appointment or anything with this people but still got charged for being a no-show. I called to sort things out and was told "that was just their policy." Lost over $300. Be careful out there everyone.
Elizabeth Morton: My family has been going to this office for 4 years. Both Dr. Mikel and Katherine Myers, PA have been kind and interested in hearing from us about our needs. They don't just tell you what they're going to do and write a script, they enlist patients to make guided choices. The new office is very nice, and the staff is polite and helpful.
Cecilia Mena Ariz: I am very satisfied the way I am treated with DR EVERS, because I am an adult she needs to be careful with me and my medications. I think the office needs more training as they don’t know how to work around my meds and how important they are for me. I know it takes time and patience to train them. I think eventually they will get there.
Tammy Petschke: We are very happy with Dr Mikel
Erica Eason-Moncayo: I have had a great experience with Maggie Evers. She is thoughtful, experienced and truly wonderful to work with as a psychiatric provider. My frustration with being a patient is the lack of insurance knowledge on the front office staff and the unresponsiveness to emails. Several times I have been told that my insurance covers the appointment and then called later for bills upward of $500. When requesting refills and appointments, it is imperative to respond to the doctor’s patients because if the email goes unanswered, our prescriptions are delayed. For example, I requested an appointment on Monday through the front desk and to ask my provider to refill my current prescriptions. It is now Thursday and I don’t have either. I am out of all of my medications. To me, this is unacceptable.
Joshua Ratliff: I have been seeing Dr. Katherine Myers now for almost a year. My Bipolar 2 is particularly hard to get under control, and she has worked very hard to find the right combination of medication to help my state. She is kind, caring, and extremely professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone that wants a doctor to spend time with them and their medications. It takes time and she does not take an one size fits all approach to your well being. Thank you Dr. MyersAs for the administration, they are top notch. They are always on top of appointments, vitals, documentations, and scheduling. Austin is a kind and helpful person, and everyone else I've dealt with indirectly has been helpful and professional. I have never been seen late, so they also take your time seriously.
Kevin Stephenson: Great place to go. Really makes you feel comfortable and very easy to contact if any questions arise. Highly recommend!!! Dr. Mikel is extremely nice and understanding. The office staff is also very nice and are there to help you with anything.
Josh Bruckstein: Very caring

Alpha Psychiatric Associates: what do users think?
Dana: Zero empathy or humanity from the so called providers. They don't care...at all. Be prepared to continually inform your provider (of years!) on the basic details of your life. Appointments last less than ten minutes and are primarily filled with small talk. The receptionists are rude. These "people" are sadistic and enjoy your suffering!
tom w.: Front staff lady was amazing she should be a Therapist. Va sent me here actual therapist was garbage an hour of my life I can never get back. My therapist was checked out after 10 mins of me talking felt humiliating would never recommend.
Carol P: The receptionist ,Teri, who runs the front desk is the rudest and most obtuse individual I have ever confronted. For the 2 times I visited, I had been treated with utter disrespect. When I alerted Linda Bell of the treatment I received, I was disregarded and told she is the front desk "guru" and she showed no empathy for the treatment I received. For this reason, I have discontinued any future visits.
Nick Baratta: If I could give zero stars I would there was no consistency with the medication that was recommended and they ramped up dose faster than other doctors which gave some fun side effects. To top it off there payment system is terrible I kept getting error messages or it was down wasted as much time trying to pay the bill as I did in their office
Galactal General: I was initially worried about the bad reviews going in but I've had a wonderful experience so far. The receptionist is super kind and seems to genuinely care. I saw Audrey and she was very kind and receptive to my concerns while also offering helpful suggestions. She took her time asking about me, reviewing my history, and asking me how I felt every step of the way without belittling me or making me feel unheard. Definitely will be going back!
Andi Weber: I am so glad I didn't read all the bad reviews before requesting an appointment here. I think people are inspired more to leave a review if they have a bad experience than a good one so I wanted to share my good experience. For years now I have been trying to find support for treating my ADHD. I had a very traumatic experience at Mindpath that has negatively impacted my ability to advocate for myself in medical conversations about my mental health but I really needed support so I kept trying. I found Alpha Psychiatric Associates through my insurance provider and I'm so glad I did. The process to become a patient and schedule a first appointment was very easy, something that really resonated with me because oftentimes there are barriers to that initial appointment with a provider that makes being seen not possible or at least very difficult. Sue was very responsive both over the phone and in email and she is soooo lovely and nice; I really enjoy speaking with her. Going into my first appointment with Ada, I was so nervous because I feel like I have had to really defend my ADHD diagnosis and I was fully expecting Ada to require me to jump through hoops before she agreed to manage my medications. This was not the case and I almost cried from relief after the appointment. Not only did Ada listen to me, she made me feel like I had complete autonomy over what medication went into my body. She discussed with me the different kinds of ADHD medication as well as the medications I was currently on that my PCP prescribed me. She definitely helped me choose what medication we should try first and made decisions on how we would titrate and when we would check in, etc. but she also always affirmed that she would support whatever I was comfortable with because ultimately, I know my body best. She also makes herself available to clients out of scheduled sessions which is great in case you need a refill on something. In fact, she took over my medications from my PCP and I was able to text her that I would need a refill before our next appointment and she was able to take care of it. She is also really sweet and very personable, it feels like you're speaking with a friend. I can't even describe how empowering it is to be listened to and not to feel like you have to defend your symptoms or your experiences to a medical provider. And to have an open line of communication in case something goes wrong has made me feel a lot safer taking medication. Especially because I know Ada will listen to me and trust what I tell her about my experiences. I am so grateful!!!
Rose Reinlib: everyone was very nice.
Bill Rathbone: Managing an account and payments with these guys is like stepping back into the 70s. They send me an invoice that doesn't show a payment I made, and my only option is to call them (online is pay only). I do, and they say "oh yes, I see it here." On their computer. Not on the invoice I was sent. And more than once they have delayed refilling a prescription until I paid the outstanding balance (never more than $100).There is no way to contact the provider directly - no phone number, no voice messages, no email. Everything must be relayed through the front desk. If I had not moved out of state I'd be finding a different provider.
Emmanuel Teagan: This is one of the most unprofessional places I've ever been at in my life. I just register myself 2 weeks ago,my first appointment my psychiatrist was more interested in explaining her accomplishments then actually listening to my problems. They just want to get you in and get you out, give you this medicine and if that doesn't work oh well try another one. I wanted help and she wouldn't listen to me I felt like we were arguing instead of working together as a team to figure out what's wrong she is terrible at her job and should really think about finding another career.
Gabby Loftis: It started off great, but quickly turned horrible. Providers will ignore your requests, office staff ignores emails. I requested my medical records and they are wrong, and they are ignoring my inquiries about fixing them. They are horrible at doing anything in a timely manner. Staff is rude and belittling. I would be able to get over the rude staff that ignores its clients, if my medical records were accurate. HOW DO YOU MAKE A PSYCH PATIENTS RECORDS INCORRECT AND NOT FIX THEM? they are possibly the most important records for a new provider to receive, and having incorrect information is detrimental to mental health care.
Marielle: Very expensive, 15 min quick inefficient visits. Inaccurate diagnosis and care.I saw Dr Uphadya for a few years while in college. At the time and to this day I was suffering from high functioning anxiety. When I finally figured out (on my own) that this was what was causing me so much mental stress - I told her and asked for specific medications that I wanted to try. She refused and was persistent in prescribing me anti depressants instead. I tried them for about 2-3 weeks and developed suicidal thoughts and would sit still in one spot for hours staring at a wall. I had never taken or needed anti depressants and have never been depressed or had these symptoms. My symptoms always pointed to high functioning anxiety, which I can now confirm 15 years later. I immediately got off of the medication properly and did not return to her office.
Hailey McCulloch: I don't know why this practice has so many poor reviews. Honestly, at this practice I've had my first ever good experience with talk therapy. I recommend Alpha Psych to any of my friends who are struggling with mental health.
S D Barnes: Worth noting that these are psychiatrists, not psychologists. If you need ongoing talk therapy, go to a psychologist....if you need medication for the rest of your life, go to a psychiatrist.Initially my experiences were mostly positive, although they can come off cold if you are looking for someone to talk to at length. In my experience, psychiatrist visits are often 15 mins in duration and involve filling out a form, weight, blood pressure, and review of any labs, after which agreement for next visit, prescription renewal, and any future labs are given and you are outta there. For medication maintenance, they are knowledgeable not only about the standard medications, but also the new medications on the block.UPDATE: Since my original review, I have run into several issues with the provider. Both were issues with contact with main office. I have found that they are unreliable with both responding to attempts to contact them as well as their attempt to contact me. For transparency, I was recently dropped by them partially due to the latter issue where they claimed to have contacted me several times but my phone records and emails show that they did not. They are claiming I did not comply with a unwritten treatment plan that I was unaware of. At this point, I have no desire to go back and will be seeking treatment elsewhere.
Ant Oj (Ton): Terrible doctors. If you have time. Find a rate my doctor website and give them all low ratings.
Taylor: Not competent or reliable. Ditched me. They earn two stars because the entire reception desk team is one of best I have ever seen. Especially Teri.
chanda mizzelle: My therapist recommended this place because I was in search for a new psychiatrist and needed meds. I wanted to be tested for ADHD so I could receive some meds to focus. After my testing, we had an assessment, where the psychologist Martha Wright laughed in my face after telling her I was molested by my cousins and their father separate times. This lady said, “They were sharing you huh?!” 😡 After my testing was complete, I was given an appt to a psychiatrist there, Dr. Nwankudu, to receive meds for my diagnosis. Our zoom started off fine then went left when she started asking the same questions the psychologist asked. With my mental illness, I hate repeating myself so then I asked if she would be providing me meds during this visit, she answered that, “No one ever asked me that at the beginning before.” I told her I was trying to get back to work and I needed some meds to keep me level and to be able to focus. She did not reply anymore but only type will I was talking which made me furious! I hung up and called back the next day and she ordered for me to not be seen by anyone in the office, which is ridiculous! People always say to people with mental illness get some help, then when we do this happens..which sometimes leads to negative thoughts and suicide. So, this practice...I Do Not Recommend!
Robin Moore: I don’t understand how there can be so many negative reviews for this place. I have seen Dr. Upadhya for medication and Linda Bell for therapy for years, and it did a 180° of my life. The receptionist staff is super friendly and accommodating. I am remembered by name, and it always feels very personable and welcoming when I come in.Linda Bell has been wonderful for me. She has helped me work through a bunch of issues regarding depression, anxiety, anger, and other personal qualities to help me day by day. She is a great listener, has visual displays to help in understanding things she is explaining, has recommendations for outside reading, and has handouts she shares. She has helped me learn so much about myself, and how to deal with the things I’ve struggled with. She never makes me feel bad about myself, seems to genuinely care, is always understanding, and encourages me to think in addition to suggestions she gives. I always feel better when leaving her office.Dr. Upadhya found the right combination of medication for me, and since then, has been able to adjust it when needed, due to certain life circumstances that might come up. She is always friendly, a good listener, and gives advice in addition to the medication. This is my first time writing a review for a place, but I felt the need to, because it didn’t seem like they were getting the good credit they deserve! Alpha Psychiatry has been a great experience for me, and as I said, helped me turn my life around when I was at my worst.Go see Linda Bell and/or Dr. Upadhya! I highly recommend them both.
Nicholas Ojeda: Dr. Miah is great. I really enjoy going to her. She is very friendly and knows what she is doing. Also, all her office staff is really friendly and accommodating.
Joelle Faber: I would give 0 stars if I could. This practice is awful. If you want to be laughed at and belittled for things you have gone through this is the place. They will try to push medications on you that you repeatedly tell them no you do not agree with it and will also change your medication dosages without telling you and when you call for understanding you will get nothing but attitude and no one tries to help you resolve any issues. I had the flu and had to reschedule my appointment and was left with no meds and got an attitude when I asked if she can give meds to make it to my appointment being it was over a week away and I was out. Terrible terrible patient care. Run far away from this place. Ada is a real wack job.
Elizabeth Rand: My daughter was seen by Dr. Miah for the first and last time. She was rude and my daughter left in tears.
Ashlynn Houk: I have been seeing Dr. Upadhya for years now and I just had a big life event of separating from my husband and moving to a different location. I called to see if she would refill my medication (antidepressant, nothing crazy) and she would not give me a medication extension even though I am now located 3 hours from her office and I have not yet found a new provider in my new area. These people don't care about you at all. Look elsewhere.

Cary Behavioral Health: what do users think?
James Turner: Absolutely an exceptional staff. Very convenient location.
Ramsey Maiden: Complete waste of time. Do not waste your time with this establishment. It's a complete joke. They don't answer any phone calls. Want you to text them for appointments/scheduling and other info. Hands down worst mental health care I've ever encountered. Stay away
Ashley Hart: Trying to reach an actual person on the phone is nearly impossible, making an appointment after Dr. Miah left has been a headache. Ive emailed, and texted for over 2 weeks before I finally got in touch with someone who then told me I WOULD NO LONGER BE SEEN at Cary Behavioral because of being on a medication Ive NEVER taken and told to follow up with a different practice. Only then to be contacted an hour later and told they made an error due to the person not speaking English as a first language and misunderstanding my patient records. WHAT?! I was extremely put off by that entire debacle.. Ironically enough with the communication being such an issue, when there was a payment mixup after all of this I had someone call me 3 TIMES to collect payment info within 2 hours. I can see where the priority lies with patient care and information vs patients payment.I will note the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is my new Doctor is WONDERFUL. She gave me helpful insight on dealing with anxiety issues I have not tried before and was so nice.
meagon weaver: Don't go here. Dr bajwa doesn't care about his patients and takes 2 or 3 weeks to write my prescription for ADHD medication and I have to ask about it again and again. I'd rather be unmedicated than pay $100 for a 10 minute appointment that he's 30 minutes late for and have to badger him about actually doing his job and writing my prescription. Also if you want your records it's another $11 even if you go pick it up yourself. All they want is money and it's a sham of a practice.
Sindhu Chandramouleeswaran: Don't believe the negative reviews. This is a great place for psychiatric care and IOP. I am very impressed with their IOP program. Each session is extremely helpful.
ChocoMilkFPS: The worst and most disorganized office staff I have ever had to interact with. Appointments get scheduled incorrectly 3 and 4 times for every one actual visit.
Alison Franciosa: The reception staff at Cary Behavioral Health is incredibly unprofessional and lacks communication. You are unable to call and speak with anyone on the phone, so you will need to text and wait for a response. I have had difficulty filling a script due to a medication shortage, and was instructed to come pick up a paper script from the office to make the process easier. When I arrived, the staff had no idea what I was talking about and said “we don’t do those”. I overheard one staff member talking to another about me and the exchange which was extremely unprofessional. She then stated that “the doctor sent the script to x pharmacy, we meant to text you not to come in but the doctor has been so busy”- even though the doctor is not responsible for text. communication. I drove to said pharmacy to receive the script, only to find that they told me incorrectly and the script was only available at another pharmacy. ThiIncredibly disappointing from a practice that is supposed to focus on mental health.
alyssa marie: Dr miah is the worst doctor here she doesn’t do her job and blames her clients her mistakes she brings her clients down she traumatized me do not see her
Joseph Sutton: My little brother waited several weeks for his appointment with Dr. Miah, we were eager to meet her and desperate for help. The appointment was over the phone, so Dad sat in on the appointment with us. Dr. Miah immediately began speaking over Dad, while trying to make him appear unintelligent and worthless to the conversation. Questions were not questions; my little brother was being boxed into a corner with ego. Dr. Miah even yelled at me once for a sincere question about the differences between a psychiatrist and a primary care physician. Dr. Miah is the rudest human being that I have ever spoken to. If you are in need of help, find somewhere helpful. CBH is a waste of time.
Evan Maxwell: If I could give a negative star rating, I would. I deal with a very early diagnosis of ADHD, a later diagnosis of chronic depression, and likely undiagnosed anxiety (based on family history and symptoms). I moved to the area last year, and needed to find a new prescriber. As someone who has taken responsibility for their mental health profile since they were a preteen, had to develop the mental infrastructure to somewhat deal with my condition while unmedicated for YEARS due to parental bias, and then overcome lots of stigma to earnestly pursue a state of mental health, this practice disgusts me. I got with Cary Behavioral Health when I moved to the area, as I needed a local prescriber (controlled meds) and was assigned to Dr. Miah. She then proceeded to push back on ANY nuanced information I provided about myself and my own understanding of my profile, attempting to gaslight me into suggesting that I have bipolar disorder. I have no ounce of prejudice towards any other person who possesses a mental health profile different to my own, but this was WAY off base, and was based solely of Dr. Miah’s immature negative reaction to me pushing back on her leading questions, as she was obviously seeking for personal validation by finding a “new” diagnosis, which was very apparent in her visible emotions, which she struggles to control. I was already very locked into what my problems were and how I had treated them successfully in the past (I had good prescribers before Cary Behavioral Health) yet she wanted none of it, and treated me like an ADDICT due to the fact that my medication was controlled because OTHER people who do not deal with my conditions abuse it for fun. The whole interaction left me feeling dirty and indignant, and I canceled all further interaction with this firm, as I suggest you do.
Kristin Tajlili: I've had mostly positive experiences with their health care team, but I've had several issues with how the office is run. Earlier experiences with the practice they've made it very difficult for me to remember appointments, only writing down the date and time on a piece of tiny paper, instead of sending me a text or email confirming my appointment.
Maya Grimmett: Front desk is great. My psychiatrist is very detailed. This establishment works very hard to provide the best care for patients.
Jestil: Scheduling process is awful if you are a new patient. They will call you back in 24 to 48 hours. If you miss the call you will have to reschedule another tentative call back. Services might be great. I will never know.
Nellie Henninger: This place is very pleasant. The staff members are very nice. Jessica Mohr is my nurse Practitioner & she is the best. She has helped me in so many ways. She is friendly, kind, listen very well. She is always there for me when I need her. May God bless her. If it wasn't for her. I don't think I would be alive today. 😊
Debbi Knaus: I was told to use this practice for a relative who was being treated for bipolar disorder, delusions, etc. I made first contact around July 22. The patient was supposed to see Dr Bajwa. The doctor was supposed to call for more info about the patient. That never happened. I called several times and was eventually turfed to a different doctor. That doctor never spoke with me and 20 minutes after his appointment was supposed to start the doctor informed the receptionist she would not see the patient and turfed him to outside organizations. I would say this is not very good mental healthcare.
Charla’s Sparkles: I was asked and encouraged to write a good review of this business by their office manager, who has long ago left. I tried to remove my previous review but couldn’t so here’s my amended one. Ever since the office manager left they have gone downhill. I used to have a lot of respect for Dr Bajwa, but I feel that his attention is stretched way too thin. Between his psychiatry practice, his public speaking and his new facility called Greenbrook it’s just too much. Also the office staff changes all the time. There is no stability in the practice at all. Lastly, when I really needed guidance recently about a very serious, stressful situation he wasn’t there for me. I called on a Friday and asked for a medicine change and never even got a call back. Also during our session when I informed him of that situation via telehealth the call dropped and he didn’t even both to call me back. I’m very disillusioned and don’t think I’ll ever go there again and while it was hard to leave after 13 years I think I’ve found a program more suited to my needs where I don’t feel like just a number or dollar sign.
Rahkeem Harris: I’ve seen doctor bawja on 3 different occasions. The last two occasions I spoke with him i asked him to send my medicine sooner rather than later because i’m only 15 minutes from the pharmacy i specified. Both times the medicine didnt show up for hours. On this third occasion the medicine wasn’t sent at all and it’s friday so i can’t even call to have a my medicine sent till monday. He comes off as not believing in you and attempts to disguise it as sumthing else. I’m more than frustrated with his quality of professionalism and understanding. I would not recommend unless u have a two or 1 days supply beforehand
Wendy Davis: I have been going to this practice for years and I can’t tell you how happy I am to have such a caring and patient doctor as Dr. Bajwa. I have a lot of side effects to meds and no matter what, he always tries to help find the next thing to try to get me the care that I need. He is truly a compassionate doctor and his staff is always helpful. I recommend this practice and you won’t be disappointed. Thank you CBH!!
Kris Tin: Did not use their services but the intake person did not listen to a word I said and only saw me as money not a person needing mental help. He told me my previous diagnosis was incorrect. Not a supportive place which is what you need for the mental health industry. People are just too worried about making money.
Kat: I went here at 13 after getting out of an abusive household and I really wish I didn't because they did not help with the trauma AT ALL. I recently started seeing a new therapist who said my therapist, Natalie, was 'teaching me things that haven't been medically relevant in decades. Not only that, after seeing my doctor today I was told that Dr. Bajwa prescribed me an antidepressant that isn't supposed to be prescribed to children. My extreme negative reactions to be over prescribed medications left and right at a young age were never taken seriously. My therapist cared more about talking about herself, only handed me boxes of tissues and told me to slap my wrist with a rubber band instead of educating me on real methods of coping with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, etc. Worst place ever and have multiple friends who have had similar experiences. If you want to not be taken seriously, have your money wasted, and your brain screwed with in the most negative ways possible; go here.
Bruce Young: Avoid this place! At my 1st appointment, Dr. Bajwa shows up 15 minutes late for a 30 minute meeting. Acts like no big deal. He was reviewing my case. Dr. Bajwa was unprofessional, arrogant, and lacked any compassion for his patient. I cancelled and didn't waste any more time with this quack.

West Cary Psychiatry: what do users think?
Rachel Horton: Susan Dumire is an amazing practitioner, she takes plenty of time to really listen and look at the problem from all angles. The staff is friendly and I’d highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking psychiatric care!
Barbara Black: Wonderful, Galia is wonderful, she has worked very hard with me and my meds. She is a very caring person. I feel very secure with her.
Cosmic Mike: Galia Torres is the best human on earth. Extremely grateful I found this office they have been incredibly helpful in counseling me through a difficult divorce.
Kelly Galvin: I see some 1 star reviews, and I cant speak to those.I saw Gaila Torres, and she was honestly the best doctor I’ve seen and I’ve had mental health issues for 14 years. Im 35 weeks pregnant, and she took the time and care to look at all the possible side effects of all medicine combinations. She was very thorough, and is the first doctor I’ve seen to admit that most bipolar medicines cause bad side effects. All the other doctors were so afraid I wouldn’t take them if they were honest. She treated me like a person who is functional enough to have health insurance, drive to appointments, (ya know all the things necessary to end up in a private practice) most doctors I’ve seen treated me like I was severely schizophrenic or something. I am so relieved to have someone that I trust to rely on, and after just one appointment I very much recommend her.
Avery H: I am truly shocked at the criticisms here concerning Ms. Joslin. I found her to be extraordinarily caring, compassionate, and motivated to help me...probably the most excited and engaged psychiatrist I've ever had. And I've had quite a few, ha.I am wondering if some of these are actually fake reviews trying to extort the practice or something. Remember to look at reviewers' post histories to get a sense on whether they are legitimate former patients.I have been going to West Cary on and off since 2019 and, while they do seem to have issues with high turnover, the practitioners I've worked with were helpful and kind. The front desk staff is friendly and organized, I haven't had any issues with billing or what have you. I encourage those seeking a psychiatrist in Cary, not to count this one out. Unfortunately, a lot of the time the only way to judge a place is to experience it for yourself.
br pl: Truly no care for the patient and the business office is completely out of touch with the clients they try to help. Was shocked by the disregard for mental well being of their patient. Definitely look around more if shopping for someone who truly cares about your well being and not just a number.
Kim Raper: I have been going to Dr Nunez for about 2 years now I guess. I find her to be caring and very sympathetic and empathetic. I have found their office to be disorganized more than once. They have been through some changes, with software changes, insurance issues as well. I have missed an appt that I did not know I had, etc. I have not found them difficult to work with at all, they have been gracious throughout. They have had some staff turnover as well.I think any major issues have likely cleared up and they are worth giving it a try. I cannot speak to Dr Vas as I am not his patient.9/2021 - Bumping up my grade, I have had nothing but good experiences with this office and Dr Nunez. They deserver the upgrade.
Betsy Johnson: I would not recommend this practice to anyone. They will not schedule an appointment even if you are a former patient without updating paperwork if it is been too long. Because of this when I finally was able to bring in the paperwork they now say that they won't accept my appointment. If the lady at the front desk had taken 2 seconds to talk to me instead of being rude to me she would have realized I was a former patient. I was going to try them for a second time but it's clearly not worth my time. I do not recommend this practice.
Julie Garrison: I highly recommend this practice. The staff is so caring and professional. Everyone is so knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and satisfied with each of your visits. Thank West Cary Psychiatry
Shun McGruder: Wow, where do I begin? First, the front desk office staff is extremely rude. The practice itself, doesn’t care about the patient. Only the money associated with the patient. The care pro professionals are a revolving door. In two year time frame, I had 4 different professionals. They do not care to get to know you as a patient. No one is personable. Please, do not waste your time. Absolutely the worst experience ever. In addition, I was 7 mins late for an appointment. I was rescheduled and charged an out of pocket office visit. They do not care about you.
Aly: I would not recommend Nicole Joslin! You can tell she does not like her profession. She does not have the patience or compassion to deal with her patients. She is very cold hearted.
Alyssa Colon: I would not recommend Nicole Joslin. She does not care about her patients at all. She is rude and has a nasty attitude. She treated me horribly.
Brian Augustus: I have been trying to get some help for my son. He was 12 minutes late to an appointment because he was sitting outside the office in his car trying to call me because he was worried about how he was going to pay for it.The doctor refused to see him for being late and I called to explain and the person who answered was way beyond rude. She told me the doctor was now doing more important things like making phone calls so they couldn't see him. This place truly does not care about you and I would not recommend them. My son needed help and all they cared about was their rules. He had a hour appointment and the doctor could have still spent 45 minutes with him. I am extremely disappointed. Please don't wste your time with this facility, they won't care about you.
Megan Nichols: Amy kline is incredible. She has every quality of a great therapist.
Meagan Yelton: Dr. Nunez is wonderful! She’s especially knowledgeable about breastfeeding and medication use
Drea M: Highly recommend Dr. Nunez. The staff is very helpful, as well.
Nikki S: Dr. Nunez is such a great doctor. She's warm and inviting and makes you feel safe and welcomed. I feel at ease when I visit with her.
Michael Puryear: Dr. Nunez is a caring, thoughtful healer. I highly recommend her and the staff.
Rachelle Meredith: West Cary Psychiatry is highly recommended if you are looking to heal, with helpful and caring clinicians. Getting your life back on track isn't always easy, especially when you hit burnout, a crisis, or want to get in front of something that may turn your world upside down.Dr. Claudia Nunez is spot on in her focused holistic analysis. She and Dr. Amy Kline (MS, LPC) work synergistically for well rounded care. BUT, you must be willing to put in work on your side too. I have never been more pleased than I am with this team.
david pecar: What a great group of providers. These people are some of the most professional workers in the state. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Thanks for all your help!!

Mindpath Health: what do users think?
Ryan Mulgrew: Just a Giant corporate entity that doesn't care about patients or their doctors. Probably only care about shareholders or profits.
Rajagopal Manoharan: Good and caring doctor NK and her team and the hospital, continuous followup, mild dosage on medication, changing medicines when needed depends on health, flexible with in-person/video call for sessions, attensing calls when needed.
Carissa James: So far, Dr. Jennifer Fields has been wonderful. She's taken my feelings, concerns, and questions seriously. I was nervous switching psychiatrists due to insurance changes but I'm really happy with my experience here so far
Leah Gorman: Need more receptionists there is always a long wait to speak with someone. The receptions are excellent. Scheduled an appointment a month in advance asked if I needed to send my medical records and they said no. Met with PA via telehealth and she needed my medical records for my Perscription refill. Sent medical records. Didn’t hear back for weeks. Had to call several times finally got call back that they needed something specific. Had to make telehealth appointment with my old provider and call my provider that proscribed me originally 15 years ago to send my medical records. A whole month goes by and I haven’t heard from mindpath except a $450 bill for a telehealth appointment. Also recieved a $250 bill for meeting my previous provider to get records and still don’t have Perscription so that is $700 lost because I’m going to have to pay again to go elsewhere. Victoria Hills has no follow up or communication ability and is overpriced.
Shelly Jantzen: I’ve been using telehealth for my appts and love it.
Lashauna Carroll: Always a great experience with very caring staff.
Tracy Parker: Adam seems to know what he's doing. We did a thorough intake and at the end I was satisfied as to the direction of my treatment for treatment-resistant clinical depression.
Susan King: I cannot say enough good things about Dr Takkallapalli.
Kathleen Furlough: The staff are very helpful and attentive to your needs and concerns.
Cheryl Malitz: My associate listened to me about symptoms I’m having and discussed reducing medication. I really like that she listened and acted accordingly as some have kind of brushed off my concerns.
Carol Q: Internet issues. Did not complete session. Upsetting. Awhile to call today.
GARY BENTZ: I have been very satisfied with my experience with Adam at Mindpath. He is very attentive to my issues and provides wonderful and appropriate solutions. Highly recommended.
Leanne Foster: Dr. Vora is amazing! She is very knowledgeable and empathetic.
Lynn Lember: I’m very pleased to have been helped by the Therapists at MindPath. They have been very caring and supportive!
Kathy Schissler: My counselor is so kind, wise and wonderful.
Sterling Robinson: Saved my life.
Connie Gail: Dana is the very best!
George Pilkington: Hunter is a warm and insightful therapist. He is providing me a sounding board and askeing me the appropriate questions to equip me to find what, when, and where to act. His help is enabling me to overcome my pitfalls, and actively pursue the conversations and activities that will provide me joy, Success, and deepen my relationships with family.
Beverly Ferguson: I always have a great experience with my doctor…😀 She always listens to me with compassion and her advise is always helpful.. Although the waiting time can be challenging, I understand the time of listening and empathy she has with her patients is a priority. So far I’m sticking with Mind Path . Thumb up for me 👍🏾
Michael Averett: Really good for mental health. I’ve had a lot of bad experiences but this is exactly what you need if you have mental health issues:)
Maggie McCoon: Knowledgeable, Caring, Responsive

Family Psychiatry & Psychology Associates, P.A.: what do users think?
Angelica McClurkan: We moved to Raleigh last year and finding new health providers is always a challenge. I contacted several psychiatrist for my teen daughter, and let me tell you there are not so many therapists/ psychiatrist for people under 18 years old. I took a while to have an appointment, but Dr Boyer is fantastic. From the 3 Doctors/practices that we interviewed, she was the one that connected better with my daughter and was aligned with our believes-values. After several months of therapy, my daughter trust Dr Boyer and is not "afraid" to share what really is going on in her life. Previous, therapist made were way to conservative and made her feel bad/uncomfortable. Dr. Boyer listens to her, and guides her in an easy stress free way. Sessions can be in person or video. Video session works best for us due to a complicated schedule (school/after school activities/commute). Front desk is always helpful.
Benjamin Cargile: Told I was going in for a new patient appointment but after hearing my mental health struggle with anxiety and panic, they refused me as a patient. Website states they are experts in these matters. My opinion is that they are not.
M S: We have had excellent experiences with Dr. Tabb and Dr. Sheras. I highly recommend both.
Kat Stephenson: If you like dealing with incompetent office staff that don’t return calls, doctors who charge you incorrectly for after-hours appointments, money-hungry individuals, and being dropped as a patient without any notice - by all means, book an appointment here.
Praveen Sriram: Dr. Tabb is a great world renowned psychiatrist. I have been working with him since January 2001 and he really helped me with life's issues. Kudos to Dr. Tabb and the staff at FPPA. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 since the prices are a little high but it is definitely worth it.UPDATE (4/26/2018)- Giving 5 stars since I feel that Dr. Tabb genuinely cares about me and been working with him for 17 yrs 3 months now. Hope to work with him for years/decades to come and hope he will still be practicing then. :) Also front desk staff is very caring & patient despite me being a "high maintenance" client. I definitely recommend Dr. Tabb and his staff! :)
Claire Fiette: Dr. Siddle is truly one of the best psychiatrists I’ve ever had. She is very personal and caring and gives you options with medication to let you know exactly what you’re getting. I had to switch to another practice for about a year when she took maternity leave and was miserable with the impersonal and unprofessional approach other practices offer. I went back to her and have been so happy!
Omar Khan: They don't take any medical insurance !! I couldn't believe that. Go to them if you are ready to pay from your pocket $$$$
Christy Beam: I've only been here a few times, but Dr. Dorn is amazing - she's sympathetic without being fake, and she actually *listens* to you. It's not like a typical psych office, where you only have 10 minutes or so with the doctor before you are shuffled out. My first appointment was 1.5 hours (she even read my old doctor's chart!), and each subsequent visit is 45 minutes.Their office does not accept insurance, you will have to file a claim yourself, but it's well worth the small hassle to see a doctor who truly cares.

Martin Carol MD: what do users think?
Tabatha Hogg: Dr Martin has always been a great doctor to me. I was a patient many years ago. She was always caring. She treated me with kindness & like I was a human being not just another statistic.I’m hoping I can get an appointment with her soon.
Elaine Hope Poulin: Questionable ethical practices in regard to over prescribing medications. Judgement is problematic as patient continues to decline in more than a year’s time. Therapy along with medication is critical as a bridge toward healing. Unfortunately, this doctor has not required this pragmatic and functional approach for this patient.
