Stoneridge Gracious Retirement Living: what do users think?
joan robertson: Friendly people and many activities. Managers live on site. Three meals a day are included. Bus service to stores, doctor appointments, and outings. I like living here!
Scottie Bullock: Currently working at Stoneridge Gracious Senior Living. Let me personally invite you and your loves out. Stoneridge is a fun and exciting place. Lots for activities, outings and fine dining.
Grace Finkle: Had an excellent tour, lunch, and view of some apartments for future reference. Shana did a wonderful job!
Lea Bussmann: Very at home 🏡 feeling. Very friendly staff with 3 meals a day downstairs in a very nice room. They also have some very nice amenities there as well.
Quill Wellington: The area is nice, and includes a lot of amenities, but be prepared to bring your own wifi with you, as they do not support public wifi over the entire building. The cell phone towers are acting a bit shaky currently, so also be prepared to lose phone coverage. The self-playing piano is nice though. There is also a billiards table on the second floor.
Lisa hayes: Visiting family... Beautiful place nice and clean
Adrian Neill: I love working here. everyone is do nice and it's such a nice atmosphere
Craig Furlough: Nice
Nichole Ewing: What a wonderful place ❤️ so happy my in-laws are living there!
Mahdi Mahmoodi: It is a peaceful place for retirement.
Dave Zuk: Nice staff

Pennie Clanton: Wow the place and staff are 👍
israa Aljadiri: Is good
JOY EVANS: My mother has lived at Stoneridge for over a year, a month from its initial opening in July, 2016. The directors and staff are exceptionally dedicated to every aspect of the experience. Easily, I would give them a a five star rating. The building is new and lovely. It is bright, has wide hallways, and all hallways are decorated with lovely paintings. They serve 3 meals a day. I would give the quality of the meals between 3 to 4 stars. On some days, it would rate 5 stars. There is no swimming pool. However, the activities director is very good at offering a wide variety of activities, exercise experiences, day outings, and movies. Living arrangements are varied. My mother has grown to love the directors, staff, and residents.
Hunter Reese: Grandma is very happy with her decision to stay at Stone Ridge - and I've never had a bad visit there with her!
Jonathan Almblad: My parents moved in here and I spent the week at Christmas visiting and felt like I was on a cruise ship! Super staff wonderful facilities and great food!
Juanita Caroway: Building is beautiful but management is not nice unless they are getting what they one out of you

Searstone Retirement Community: what do users think?
CORENE FRANCIS: Beautiful property. Professional staff.I love this Retirement home. The best in this area!💯
Chuck Borum: Good visit
Alex Boone: Best senior living community!
Ticarra “lane_set” Marley: Director is horrible . Concierge supervisor horrible and on drugs Maintenance is horrible they have residence living in bad condition with holes in the walls and the apartments are made for ages like 18-25 or 30-50 not for elderly people safe hazard. And they do drugs on the job and also the employees put the residence in dangerous situation and all the camera doesn't work pendent doesn't work.
Anne Oney: 2 1/2 years after crossing the country to live at Searstone, we know we have found our permanent home. The very best thing about Searstone? The wonderful people and staff, all of whom make you feel like a part of a large family. We love it here!
Pazhayidathe George: We moved into Searstone ( a CCRC in Cary NC) about a year and few months ago. Many people assume that elderly people move into nursing homes or convelescent centers to pass away. But most residents in CCRC's come there to live independently while they can, then move into in house medical care when needed. This is probably the last major move in one's life, a big decision. Many residents in Searstone consider this as their own homes. They constantly strive to improve the conditions in Searstone . Also many people in the management and the support staff have a genuine interest in the successful functioning of Searstone. Searstone appears to be country club facility. We both are pleased that we moved into Searstone
Alex Quigley: After a careful search to find a retirement community, my mother landed on SearStone. I couldn't be more pleased that she selected this wonderful place to call her new home in NC close to her 4 grandchildren. The transition has been transformative for her as it has enabled her to move all the way from snowy Boston and be immediately plugged in to a supportive and vibrant community. The staff at SearStone walked with her every step of the way and ensured that this big change would happen smoothly. Now that she's settled I've had the opportunity to see her thrive in the new setting, taking advantage of the beautiful saltwater pool, tons of outings for residents, and easy access to everything you would ever need in Cary. The staff has continued to be warm, welcoming, and responsive. She routinely shares with me about different staff members and how they have helped her in a myriad of ways. SearStone has been a blessing for Mom and I'm grateful that they've enabled her to make this move to North Carolina nothing but positive.
Ivan Bowman: Moved to Searstone last December because of my health problems. Found it even better than expected. Facilities including pool. hot tub, exercise, etc are first class. More scheduled activities and entertainment than I can take advantage of. Food facilities and food quality are great. Servings may be too large, but make for a great lunch the next day. Unfortunately my wife came down with a very active brain cancer, It was another test of the facilities over the three months until her death. Nursing care facilities were excellent. free limousine service to Duke, daily drop by from the clinic's nurses. Residents offered more help than we could use. Could not imagine a better place to have been. In fact, I would not consider moving to somewhere else now. Social environment is wonderful.
Monty Stepura: We moved my mother to SearStone from a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Florida back in February. She turned 90 this year and while she is still in very good health, we wanted her to be closer to us now. We found SearStone right around the corner from where we live and are so pleased with our choice. Mom has a beautiful apartment, amazing on-site healthcare and wonderful neighbors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. SearStone offers a wide variety of activities from which to choose and there is truly something for everyone.

Waltonwood Cary Parkway: what do users think?
Amy Buchan _ Staff - Substitute: The staff at Waltonwood has provided top notch care for my mom since she moved into Memory Care in August 2022. They consistently communicate with the families of residents to keep us updated on the day to day happenings & events on site. The caregivers show kindness & patience with residents as they attend to each individual’s specific needs. The various activities, programs, & outings offered to residents are engaging and fun! In addition, the staff members take time to get to know the residents’ family members and genuinely strive to support us as we navigate a “new normal” for our loved ones.
Ashleigh Wood: I have worked at Waltonwood for about 6 months. It has been a wonderful place to work with wonderful staff and residents. I enjoy being able to provide engagement and activities for our residents! :)
Dee D: Waltonwood Cary Parkway is a beautiful community filled with lots of love and laughter. As an employee of 11 years I would say Signh is a great company to work for!
Tina Forsythe: I watched Waltonwood Cary start from the ground up and 13+ years later I can honestly say I can not picture myself working anywhere else. The residents/family have become my family. I love all of them with all my heart. I am looking forward to seeing what great things 2023 will bring for them and the associates of Waltonwood.
R. Renswop: My mother was kicked out of this facility with NO NOTICE, this was a blatant violation of the contract. I would not recommend this place to anyone ! Its a little late for me to discuss what happened. I stand by what I said, its FACT !
Kaitlyn Duffy: I’ve worked at Waltonwood for the past 2 years. It’s been a wonderful experience learning and growing with the waltonwood family. I absolutely love planning programs for our amazing residents. Waltonwood does a great job at taking care of their residents. I’m very grateful and proud to be apart of such a great team
Peggy Boothe: I have worked at Waltonwood Cary Parkway for 9 years. Prior to moving to North Carolina I was in Mortgage Department with a Bank in Jacksonville, Florida. After being a vet assistant, I was looking for a place to call Home and I found Cary. I came for an interview at WW and fell in love. Everyone was so nice, residents, other staff and the managers. Over the past 9 years I have gained a whole new family. Come to Waltonwood and you will not be disappointed.
Mark Curran: My father was a resident at Waltonwood Cary Parkway for just over a year. I always found the staff and residents to be open, friendly and helpful when needed. I would recommend Waltonwood to anyone who is looking for a high quality senior living facility for themselves or a loved one.
Donna Walmsley: I have mixed feelings about WW. There are a few caregivers and med techs that are wonderful. The food on the AL side is hit or miss. Undercooked meat and vegetables and they don't pay attention to what is checked on the menus. My mom is diabetic but would received a sandwich on bread and french fries (carbs and carbs).Recently, we moved my mother out on 11/25 and 11/26 but left things to be picked up on 11/28. On 11/28 we returned to the apartment to find it unlocked. Upon entering we noticed things were missing: kitchen side table, cooler, television, rollator, wrapping paper, step stool, kitchen trash can, laundry basket and clothes had been taken out of the laundry basket and throw on top of a box of plants and the shredding machine had been kicked over and shredded papers were all over the floorWe reported all of this to one of the managers who was sitting at the front desk. She said she'd let the other manager know and they would pull the cameras. A third manager and maintenance supervisor met us in the hallway and when we went back in the apartment all of the items had been returned. Maintenance said there had been a misunderstanding between a caregiver and a housekeeper. The caregiver used her key and let herself and the housekeeper in the apartment. The caregiver took it upon her authority to say that everything left in there was trash and she could take what she wanted. I let them know that THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! The apartment belonged to and was paid for by my parents until November 30. No one should have been in there for any reason. There was no one in there that needed to be cared for and a caregiver should not have been allowed to let herself in.This is a case of trespassing and stealing/looting/thievery. We have considering filing charges with the police. This should never have happened. My mother was grieving the loss of her husband, planning a funeral, moving to a new location and now having to deal with the thought of being robbed.Though we are thankful everything was returned (that we know of), we hope that the appropriate action has been taken to make sure this caregiver is aware of her wrongdoing and has been reprimanded/put on leave/or best, fired. I hope this is not a pattern and that this hasn't happened to other residents when they leave.
rachel duffy: Waltonwood is a top notch community. It was very clean and well taken cared for. I had a fantastic experience when visiting!
Danielle Laurent: Waltonwood is an excellent senior living community. I have worked for the Legacy within the Waltonwood Cary Parkway community for 3 and a half years. Waltonwood always puts the residents first, has excellent activities and food and welcomes everyone with open arms. The staff is always helpful and wants the best for the residents. I would highly recommend to anyone in the Triangle area looking to move a loved one here!
Billy Duffy: Waltonwood does a fantastic job with their community. The food menu offer a great variety and the residents really love the action stations.
Brandon Trimyer: My wife and I are the owners of the local Duck Donuts locations, with our very first in Cary. In the first couple years of our journey in Cary, we connected with Waltonwood and are honored and proud to say we have had a long standing partnership with these great folks. We have been delivering weekly donuts to the Waltonwood residents for more than a few years now and truly appreciate their partnership and support of our small business. We know what a great reputation Waltonwood has as a high quality assisted living facility and wish them continued success.
Dakota Olive: Waltonwood has been a great place to work at, ever since i started in 2021 I have received nothing but great training, experience, and relationships with co-workers and residents. I would recommend Waltonwood to anyone seeking a great career or a place for their loved ones to stay at. :)
Kathy Gregg: I visited my grandfather at this facility and it was amazing. The staff was great and seemed to genuinely care about the residents. I couldn't ask for a better alternate family for him than the staff here. It was a beautiful setting and all of the residents seemed very happy.
Jeff Meyer: I stopped by to see the community late in the afternoon one day. A lady named Tina gave me a tour and I was impressed with her professionalism and the community. I will definitely consider the community for the future.
Christine Conway-Balder: I worked as a receptionist at Waltonwood Cary Parkway for a little over 2 years. I loved working there. The residents and staff are great to work with! I enjoyed the events staff planned for the residents. The managers also do a lot to appreciate their staff (especially the BOM). If I ever move back to NC I would love to work at Waltonwood again!
Kayla Conway: I volunteered for Waltonwood for 3 years. The staff and residents treated me like family. I would still be there now but I moved out of state when I got out of school.
Chris Buchanan: I'm a past employee and want to share how wonderful the staff is. They care about each resident like family. The company is family owned and great to work with.
kim maples: Great environment with lovely people and activities.

The Templeton of Cary: what do users think?
Hayden Taylor: Swift Creek Health Center is a gorgeous community and highly recommended. They have hard working staff, from their kind Administration to their care team, that demonstrates genuine care to all.
Kathie Bell: The staff and Residents at The Templeton of Cary are so friendly and kind. The food is delicious, so many activities and fitness classes. It feels like home! I have a dog who has made friends too!
Nathan Robison: The Templeton has been such a great addition to the neighborhood since it opened a couple of years ago. I live just around the corner and know several of the residents there. They have great things to say about the services and staff there. Krista and her team do a great job of welcoming family and visitors in and truly making The Templeton home.
Peggy Griffin: The anniversary celebration today was fabulous. The staff and all the dining staff went all out to provide a great atmosphere and great food. Enjoyed it all and appreciate so much the hard work to make the anniversary day special
Leslie Tramontin: My parents moved to the Templeton 6 months ago and are enjoying their new apartment with the little balcony. They’ve made friends and enjoy playing pool and yoga classes. It’s been a positive transition and I’m so glad to have them close by in their beautiful, safe home.
Colin Dailey: A family friend recently moved in and she has raved about her positive experience at the Templeton. She loves the social aspect and has had a blast making new friends through activities within the community. Most importantly, the staff is exceptional. They provide a friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere that brings her so much joy. They also provide excellent care and are always willing to go above and beyond to make accommodations for their residents.
Ashley Vaughan: I have several friends who have moved to the Templeton within the past year. They are all thriving! They have enjoyed meeting many new friends and engaging in lots of on campus activities. The staff is top notch! Nicol, Debra, Liz and Krista are always willing to go out of their way to help the residence feel comfortable. The staff has been so helpful with getting their residents to feel at home after the move in.
Jon Clarkson: If you are in the unfortunate situation of evaluating memory care options for a family member, Templeton is NOT the place for you. Their advertised "support" is non-existent. "Support" is inclusive, marketing language, which is weaponized by their staff. My family has battled the dementia of my grandfather for several years. The "support" expires as things become inconvenient for them. Templeton has been a consistent disappointment. Take your business elsewhere.Should you have additional questions, please reach out to me. I would love to paint a clear picture of what you can expect from Templeton's "memory support".
Mary Lou Booth: Visiting my “ sister” here for rehab . Hoping to get home soon !!
Jodi Snare: My mother just spent a week at the Templeton's rehab center after getting out of the hospital (her Independent Living facility didn't have a rehab on site). The Templeton's rehab is brand new--she was the first visitor in the suite. Beautiful facility, great food, and wonderful people. They took great care of my mother. She was discharged today and upon picking her up there were also magazines, puzzles, etc. that they had brought to her, someone had polished her nails, etc. They were all just so kind! She was almost sad to be going. Thanks so much for taking such great care my mother!!! I have no doubt you'll be a #1 choice for many once people realize you're there. :-)
Rex Hoppa: This is my new Home now. The staff are terrific and the apartments are the best IMHO. I am just getting acquainted but so far everything is good and all of the folks living here are very friendly. Having a good time. They even have a place for my Trike

Woodland Terrace: what do users think?
Rob Tomlinson: Beautifully located in the heart of Cary, a wonderful park like setting with a lovely pond to enjoy. Property is well maintained and staff are friendly and most helpful - recent moved an aging parent into Woodland Terrace to allow him to age with dignity and to date are happy knowing he is comfortable, safe and has great care!
Stacy Wilson: Poor care for meeting the needs of a vulnerable population. My grandmother had regular family visitors. One day she was found by a visiting family member in the dining area with her head on the table and barely responsive. This was a drastic change from her typical self. EMS was called and she was admitted into the hospital with several diagnosis including dehydration. The folks at Woodland Terrace didn't inform anyone of this change in her status. We later found out that a CNA asked the head nurse if EMS should be called earlier that morning and were told no. They knew she was in trouble and denied her help.
Carol Wilson: Our family recently made the difficult decision to move our mother into a memory care unit. I was given the task to explore options.A few were found, I made some calls. Once I spoke Jessica Williamson I knew I had found the right place. The move took place and everyone that I have come in contact with at Woodland have shown me I made the right decision. My mother is safe and well cared for and I am not as worried about her like I was when she was in her home with paid caregivers.
Tracy Huntley: My Mom has been a resident at Woodland Terrace in the memory care unit for almost 2 1/2 months. Our experience has been extremely positive. When we realized that her memory issues were becoming too difficult to handle at home, even with care givers and personal involvement on our part, we made the decision to move her to a safe environment where we did not have to be concerned that she would wander or get lost. From the first time we visited and toured with Jessica Williamson to now, we have been so pleased. Though the initial transition was hard at first, we were always kept in the loop. Jessica would even send updates and pictures to us several times a week, and the staff was available to answer questions and concerns. My sister and I now visit Mom several times a week and usually find her engaged with other residents and joining in activities. More often than not, she tells us she is very content here. We love the large spacious grounds- it's 22 acres nestled in a quiet setting with sidewalks and a lovely lake. We can't wait to take our mom on walks once the weather cools down!
Anonymous: If I could give zero stars I would. Management is horrible and the staff turnover is ridiculous.
christine heib: Love the setting. Hate the fact that there is little to do for residents. They used to have international dinners, and the staff would dress up - with a matching international menu. They used to have more parties, painting classes for independent & assisted living, craft classes. Now they mainly have self led Bingo, puzzles. Very disappointing.
JoAnn Brennan: My Mom lived in Vera Springs/assisted living for about 1 1/2 years and has moved into the Arboretum/memory care wing for the past 14 months. She is loved and cared for very well. The staff always calls her by name, gives hugs or do do a little dance with her, stop in to visit/check up on her and spend a moment to compliment her on her outfit, hair or nails, which she loves to hear/do and makes her so happy. The staff from VS, the Arb, and management also always stop to say hello to me/family and to let me know when they saw my Mom and what she was up to. The interest, concern, care and honest dedication is there daily. Yes, there are mistakes made but no place is perfect and I know that those at Woodland Terrace sure make the effort to make every day for my Mom a special, caring, and loving one which in my heart is wonderful and a job well done. So glad we found Woodland Terrace!
Lori James: When I leave home every day I drive one hour to get to my second home. I get to be around the residents and the associates that are my family. Thank you Woodland Terrace for being my second home.
Teresa Bordeaux: Woodland Terrace is a great place to work and we absolutely love our residents. The wellness team is creative, spirited and always inventive with their programs in independent, assisted living, and memory care. The award-winning dining program is delicious.
Kathryn A.: My parents have live in Woodland Terrace for almost 3 years in the independent living facility. They were warmly welcomed and started getting involved right away. My dad joined a writers group and my mom joined the resident's board and exercise classes. They both enjoy going to the various music activities and having dinner with their friends. The grounds and property are well kept. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. My family and I have joined them in the dining room on many occasions and while the food might not be wildly exciting, we always think it is good.Overall, I like the down to earth feel of the place. Nice without being pretentious.
Anne Browning: I have the great honor to spend time at Woodland Terrace every week. Our caregivers from Homewatch CareGivers are the on-site home care providers when residents need a little extra help to stay safe and independent. As Community Outreach Coordinator for Homewatch I have the opportunity to interact with residents, staff and caregivers and am always greeted with a warm welcome by all. It is truly a family atmosphere at Woodland Terrace. My 16 year old daughter volunteers there one day a week every summer, and I know she is in a great place to learn.
Janet Schanzenbach: I have recently toured several senior living facilities and I found the staff at Woodland Terrace very warm and welcoming. They took the time to show me around and answer all of my questions. I had an opportunity to view staffs interaction with residents and I was impressed with the level of care that they showed each resident.
LA Joanis: Nothing went well for our experience in the Memory care unit. Too many bruises, falls and shortcuts.
Kevin Umstead: Not a good experience. We moved our father into Woodland Terrace and our mother into their memory care after a time at an independent living facility with the hope of keeping them at least in the same location. Our father fell three times in a two week period under Woodland Terrace's care resulting in a broken rib the second time and a broken hip the third time. We assumed (incorrectly) that additional personal care would be given to someone who had fallen twice so as to hopefully prevent a third one. Further, after spending a month in a rehab center due to the broken hip, Woodland Terrace refused to allow him to return. According to them, they did not have the capability to provide the proper assistance when transferring him from the bed to a now needed wheel chair. Apparently, different assisted living facilities have different criteria for return. Needless to say, Woodland Terrace has a high bar for return. Other facilities who did an assessment after rehab said he could move there. To make matters worse, management refused to refund any of the large "community fee" paid at move in, even after having lived there for just three months. So, of course we now had to scramble to find another facility and of course pay another large move-in fee. The staff tries hard and management does appear to care. However, they simply are unable, given staffing and turnover levels, to give the care one would expect. Our advice, ask lots and lots of questions before moving into any facility. They are not all alike. It just seems so unfair.
Joe Dowuona: This Facility is always neat and staffs are very friendly.
Felicia Williams: Great place
Rebecca Collins: I lead Shabbat Services here once a month, and the residents that I have met love the place and seem very well taken care of, both medically and in terms of activities. The staff is wonderful to work with!
R Lynn: My Mother currently lives at Woodland Terrace and has been there for 10 years. The grounds a very pretty and the lake is nice to looks at. . . . but what really matters is the STAFF. They are absolutely fantastic! They let me know when things need to be taken care of or if Mom needs supplies. The care manager there actually CARES! My Mom will be 93 this year and forgets everything. She says there is "nothing to do" there, but I look around her room and there are hand paintings, craft projects, party supplies everywhere. I am very pleased she is there.
Vanessa Nelson: Stellar senior community, with openly caring staff, positive residential and staff work culture.... I've worked in healthcare for 25+ years, administrative and operational management, and am so excited for my father to live in such a positive environment. Not sure I've witnessed one any better..... We came here from a bad experience in another local facility, only to have a very warm welcome to facilitate a fresh start.... with extra attention paid to his needs and not even having to ask. The residents seem happy to be there, and conversations they have with staff sounds like old friends. You see smiles and hear laughter between them on a regular. So reassuring to see and hear in an assisted living unit... on Mother's Day senior leadership was on sight just checking in with everyone. Very nice to see.... thank you for working hard at what you do....it shows on every level Woodland Terrace.
Simon Jessey: I write this review from the perspective of a visitor, rather than as someone who has lived here.A very attractive place with well-kept grounds and superb facilities. Independent living and assisted living. The rooms appear to be large and very convenient for seniors. The bathrooms are large with plenty of grab handles. The corridors and doorways are wide and there are numerous places for residents to congregate and enjoy each other's company. The staff appear to be friendly and attentive.
Jeffrey Maria: It's the staff that make Woodland Terrace so different. My mom has lived here for about two years, first in Assisted Living and now in their Memory Care Unit. The staff are warm, friendly, compassionate and seem to love their work. Very pleased with Woodland Terrace and would recommend them 100%.

HeartFields at Cary: what do users think?
Gail Marold: While we did not ultimately choose Heartfields for my parents, my experience with McKay Valanejad in Sales at Heartfields was excellent. She carefully listened to my concerns and gave me advice that turned out to be a literal life-saver for my mother!!
Karen Boat: My parents moved into HeartFields at Cary January 1, 2021 after residing in the mountains of North Carolina for nearly 25 years. Dad was in poor health when they moved in and my mother had her own separate medical issues. I had a very short time line within which to find an assisted living facility that I felt comfortable moving my parents into in the midst of a pandemic. Thank God for McKay! She spent more than 2 hours on the phone with me during our first conversation answering the multitude of questions I had and answering every one of them leaving me feeling very comfortable even without being able to visit the facility. A few days later she took me on a virtual tour of not only the unit my parents would occupy but the rest of the facility. It was not a hard decision to make at this point. So many other facilities wanted to separate my parents into two different sections given their health concerns and Heartfields was one of two that would keep them together. Once again, I would like to reiterate how short of a time line I had and McKay was on the phone numerous times every single day getting the information she needed from the Rehab facility my father was at in the mountains so that we could move my parents in at the same time. She is nothing short of a miracle worker. She literally moved mountains. Once they were moved in, unfortunately - due to dad's poor medical state - he spent more time at the hospital than at Heartfields. The staff could not have been more helpful and responsive. Then I met China - words can not describe how amazing this woman is. She runs an extremely tight ship and holds everyone accountable in every aspect. She went out of her way many times during issues with my dad to make him comfortable and happy. There are so many others that did the same, to name a few - Freida, Brittany, Nicole, Curtis and so many others. Unfortunately dad lost the battle and his passing was handled with so much grace and dignity at Heartfields. My father was a very personable and charming person and I have never seen so many people so visibly so broken up by his passing. Heartfields residents truly become family. Moving forward we were very worried that shortly after moving in and after loosing my father, my mother would have to move to a different section of Heartfields. Thank the Dear Lord for China, McKay and Jennifer, my mother was able to stay in the same unit she and my dad occupied and is still there to this date. I could not ask for better care for my ailing parent. I can not say enough wonderful things about Heartfields. It is extremely well staffed. They are incredibly compassionate and professional. If there were more facilities like Heartfields maybe so many would not be reluctant to Assisted Living. No intentions of ever moving my mother. Love Heartfields at Cary!
Terry McNutt: Heartfields at Cary Assisted Living is an amazing, clean, and comfortable home for senior living. The staff, from admin to nursing care, go above and beyond for the seniors. My mother recently moved in under difficult circumstances, and she has been treated with tender care and empathy. China, the director of resident care, is compassionate and understanding to her needs. Heartfields at Cary Assisted Living is a clean, attractive, peaceful environment, that is easy to navigate for elderly people. It feels like a family, and the staff are always friendly and supportive - they clearly love what they do and I feel my mom is getting the best possible care! Thank you all for being so wonderful and welcoming her with open arms!
Jason Bevins: Wonderful Community and Staff. Executive Director,Jennifer and Sales Director, McKay do a great job. You can tell that they care about their community and their residents.
Ellen Mundt: I placed my mother in Heartfields several months ago and I am totally satisfied with the care she is receiving. Everyone is caring and compassionate. The staff shows that they are very concerned about her well being. The first time I went to visit I found her in an exercise class, something before now she would never even be in the room for. The activities director is wonderful, always engaging the residents. They even do manicures every Monday. I was told I could meet the group at any outing saving me from having to provide transportation for her to enjoy things outside the facility. I have attended a luau and Halloween party and can't wait for the holiday party. I really appreciate the staff's effort to be sure the family is involved in all aspects of the resident's life. I would and have recommended this facility to others.
Anne: My grandmother lived in the Memory Care unit (referred to as "BTR") at Heartfields of Cary. While she was living in the BTR, we had concerns about the amount of stimulating activities available for the memory care residents. In my experiences visiting my grandmother, I did not see any activities taking place in the BTR. This was one of the reasons that we decided to move my grandmother to a new facility. However, on my exit meeting with the Heartfields Director, she seemed to take our concerns to heart and promised change. She reassured me that she would personally ensure that residents do receive the promised activities in the future. While we did feel the amount of activities were lacking, we were pleased with the physical care provided to my grandmother by the care staff. The majority of the staff were caring and loving towards my grandmother, and a few of them have even made plans to visit my grandmother at her next assisted living facility. I would just suggest that you ask and check to ensure your loved one is participating in regular stimulating activities while living in the memory care unit.
sharon l: If you are looking for a place for your loved one, no need to look any further than Heartfields of Cary. It lives up to its 5 star reputation in every way. Moving my mother from Florida to NC was not an easy task and Heartfield staff, particularly Sarah Tirey, was very supportive and helpful. This was not just a "sales tactic" - my mother has now been there for several months and I continue to get the warm and caring support from Sarah and everyone else who works there. I could not ask for a more attentive staff for my mother - they offer her constant hugs and affection and figure out ways to keep her happy. I also like that they pay attention to detail - she is always well groomed with coordinating clothes. I'm very happy with my choice of facility and the fact that I'm willing to drive 35-40 minutes each way to visit her almost daily is testament to that.
linda clark: Heartfields has become a second home not only for my mom, but for me too. The staff is so caring and compassionate. Communication on all levels is excellent; if a request is made, I can rest assured it will be handled.
Randy Gibbs: My mother moved in here and so far it’s great. Despite a glitch on move in day, management stepped in and made it right. I left feeling like she was in good, caring hands.
Susan Mccreary: My dad has been at Heartfields Cary over one year. I feel he is in a safe and caring environment. One of the most noticeable assets is the consistent cleanliness of the building. It is comforting to know my dad is well taken care of.
Molly Picha: September 29, 2013Our family would like to thank the entire Heartfields staff for the compassionate care they extended to my mother, who passed away September, 2013. She was a resident of the memory care unit but had originally been a resident of the larger facility..The kindness and support of all the staff was superior. My entire family was treated with encouragement and warmth during my mother’s final days. Everyone was extremely understanding and patient with our questions and concerns. The medical technicians explained in detail what medications my mother was taking and the purpose they served. Actually the medical technician was the woman who called us to let me know that my husband and I should come. We live in Colorado so she wanted to allow us the time to travel. The staff had contacted Hospice to assist us in making some difficult decisions. The medical staff at Heartfields worked with Hospice to coordinate the medicines so that our mother was not in any discomfort. The cleanliness of the residents’ rooms and personal care was always very high. My husband and I commented on several occasions that my mother was constantly well cared for and her room was always clean. The staff took great care in grooming and dressing her. My mother always had her hair cut and combed and her hands and face clean. She was treated with tenderness and patience. We had seen on countless visits that the interactions between the staff and residents were always positive. Both of us were constantly in awe of the kindness and compassion the staff showed to all of them.It is a difficult and emotional decision to seek help in caring for one’s aging parents. Heartfields makes the transition much easier. Each resident is treated with respect and dignity. Up until the very last moment my mother was lovingly cared for; one staff member stayed past her scheduled shift to be with us. We were touched beyond words with her decision.Every option of my mother’s care was discussed with my family. We were totally involved in her final days. We were treated with privacy and compassion. We all felt that the staff made our final time with my mother positive and more meaningful. It is not an easy role to play and we were not sure what to expect. I know that the entire staff made us very comfortable and helped us make heartfelt but difficult choices regarding my mother’s care.We are very grateful to everyone at Heartfields. Thank you. Words cannot express how we feel about Heartfields. I felt that I must try. My husband is quite sincere in stating that we hope we experience such tenderness when we reach 89. We know now what to look for in a residential facility.Again thank you all for making this sad experience a positive and compassionate one as well. We all agree that the staff truly made a huge difference in my mother’s final years. That knowledge helped all of us through this difficult time.

Glenaire: what do users think?
German Holmes: Good morning this is the most unprofessional place I’ve ever worked at they are very racist in the HR department is very unprofessional upper management in the housekeeping department very unprofessional. Don’t know how to talk to people in the profession of matter in the EVS department also, I’m sitting down eating lunch and a racist comment was being made towards me ““ he is not supposed to be eating with us. He needs to go to the back to get his food so when I’m working at this place, it is all about the color of your skin, not you as a human being or just a person who care about the elderly it is my recommendation that you really search out this place before applying for employment. Thanks.
Jim Conrad: I’m still rehabbing but hope to be paroled next week. Glenaire is great for rehab or senior living.
mike kasopsky: My 94 year old mother recently spent weeks in Glenaire's rehab facility North Hall, to recover from a broken hip. I can't say enough about the care she received while there. Starting with Amanda the admission's social case worker to the lead nurses, PT's and the CNA's. This was not a place my mom wanted to be and let everyone know. However, everyone was so professional and patient with her even though they knew she was not one of their permanent resident. These folks were definitely a step above some other rehab facilities my family have experienced in the past. It truly is a calling for these workers.
