Tess Bushman: I had been searching for months to find a new stylist. I finally decided on Jordan at Joule because of a review by someone with the same fine wavy hair who was very pleased with her cut. I am very happy with mine...I finally have a pixie that actually looks like the photo I showed Jordan. She asked lots of questions to be sure she knew what I wanted and checked with me as she cut to be sure. I really like the cut and so does my hubby. The pricing is in line with other salons and COVID restrictions are followed. The owner/manager was very pleasant as well and the salon was clean and tidy.Update: I am still seeing Jordan and she continues to do a great job at being sure she understands what I want and checking in while she cuts to be sure we are on the same page. Very happy with the "Bixie" cut I have now. Prices have gone up a bit but that is true everywhere so I'm guessing they are still in line with other salons in the area. Salon is always clean and neat and front desk person always pleasant.
CHRISTINA TZORTZIS: Lauren is the BEST! I’ve been seeing her for almost 3 years and she always gets my hair perfect and exactly how I want. She has kept my hair healthy despite being blonde! My last session I started going back brunette and I am loving it! The salon is always so clean and everybody is always friendly! It is worth the hour drive I make!!

Liane Albert: I so wanted to like this salon but it just hasn’t worked out for me. I called and specifically asked for someone who does razor pixie cuts and the front desk girl (short gray pixie cut) recommended the guy with long hair that wears a hat (my apologies for not remembering his name). The first visit, I thought I made clear to him that I wanted a short pixie cut with a razor. He started w/ scissors and I thought maybe he’s just cutting a bit off because I’d let it go a bit longer than I normally do but he wound up doing the entire cut with scissors and it just didn’t hold up like a razor cut does w/ my texture of hair.I decided to give one more chance at the first part of April and when I told them what happened at my first cut, I felt like they blew it off as no big deal. That being said, I should have said something right at the time but I’m not great about speaking up/confronting.My second cut and color was at the beginning of the April w/ the same guy and we went over the color that I wanted but he needed assistance from one of the other girls to formulate it but I did really like how the color turned out but the haircut?Not so much. Ppl really experienced with razors pixie cuts usually can cut my hair in abt 15 minutes or less after it’s been washed but it took what felt like forever - at least 40-45 minutes…. When I got home, I checked everything and one side was shorter than the other and my bangs were a total disaster. I’m sure the other stylists might be ok because it’s a salon that’s rated highly. It just didn’t work out for me and I don’t think I’ll be back.
H Heidicote: Inexperienced stylist, damaged hair & overcharged - $224 for highlights and haircut.I was charged for an "experienced" stylist when she clearly was not, and even spoke extensively about having recently transitioned into hair styling.Needless to say, it took her HOURS to highlight my hair. The foileded section next to my neck grew hot after 45 minutes. I mentioned this and she decided to wash out the back section and continued to highlight the front and side sections. NEVER had this happen before at ANY salon. She also had to mix two additional batches of bleach because it was taking so long. Again NEVER had this happen. My hair length is average, level 6 - straightforward job.As far as highlighting technique, I specified that I did not want any lift on the ends of my hair (it's already light blond) . . . yet she kept folding ends into the foil. Moreover, I ended up with a glob of bleach on my sleeve and when I got home, noticed a purple area at the top of my forehead . . . I'd been walking around for hours with dried toner/glaze on my forehead.The appointment took almost three hours. After only two weeks the "glaze" used to tone my hair is gone, revealing yellow highlights and frazzled almost white, over processed hair breakage.L6 EXPERIENCED is 6 days of experience?Services:Haircut,Hair highlighting
Mary Kathe: I had been to this salon many times. The quality has diminished. The last time I was there, Dayra cut can colored my hair. I could tell she was in a bad mood right away, and she said she wouldn't have time to blow dry my hair at the end. When I got a little irritated, she started cutting my hair randomly here and there. I know it looked bad, but I just left. I immediately went to another salon. My new hair dresser said that my hair was completely uneven and fried. When I told her what Dayra did, she said that there is NO WAY that it was an accident (if she had any formal training.) Dayra messed my hair up on Purpose.Service:Hair coloring

Geri Marin: This salon is wonderful!!! Near the office I work at - I LOVED the quality haircut and gloss I had done. Dayra is amazing!! She was patient and listened to what I wanted as far as adding more body. Unfortunately, I was not able to make my recent appt, and will be rescheduling next week. They told me I would have to pay for full price of services on my next appt with her ($90). I think this is a little excessive!! Keara Sammon: Terrible recent experience. A few months ago I got my hair cut at this salon and the artist did a wonderful job! I scheduled another hair cut with this artist and had to cancel the appointment due to a last minute conflict. There is a 24 hour cancelation policy that they have in place so I called on Friday at 10:20 am to cancel my Saturday 10:00am appointment. They charged me 50% of the service for calling 20 min past the 24 hours. As someone in business as well, I completely understand a fiscal responsibility, however I also understand the importance of relationships with clients and to screw a client financially for 20 minutes was rather harsh. I did not even have a card on file, so ultimately, if I never showed up for appointment or called I wouldn't have been charged. However, although I called 23 hours and 40 minutes in advance, they still felt the need to penalize me and I paid the amount out of good deed at this point. From a talent standpoint they do a wonderful job, but from a business standpoint very poor. Needless to say this is not a business that I care to recommend to others or ever return to as the receptionist and whoever she was speaking with behind the scenes did not care to continue a relationship or have any understanding.

elizabeth cintron: I can’t express enough about how I just got the best color and cut I’ve ever had in my life! Jamal transformed my streaky highlights to a vibrant warm brown. Customer service is sincere and fun. There’s no crowd and no rush but appointments will be filled quickly if you wait too long as the phone was ringing for the next earliest appointment. I now can say this is probably one of the best cuts I ever had, other than my own wife, of course, but he knew exactly what I wanted based on the picture I showed him. When checking out at the front I was distracted talking to the staff about my gift card that wasn’t coming up (they promptly fixed the error) that when I reached into my wallet to leave a tip in an envelope I grabbed a $100 bill instead of a $20. Didn’t realize til after dinner when I went to pay my sister for a Father’s Day gift she purchased for me for my husband and I didn’t find it. I called and left them a message and they called me back the next morning to tell me that they had my my $100 bill. They could have gone in a completely different direction and said too bad, that’s your mistake. But they chose the path of integrity and honesty and I am forever thankful to my stylist and the entire staff there. I was already a loyal customer, but this just solidified that I will be a forever customer! Thank you twisted scissor.
Christine Doss: I'm torn on how to rate them. I've been going here for years but I'm a low-maintenance woman who gets a simple cut every 6 months or so and always been happy enough with the various stylists I've seen. I've brought my daughters a few times too without complaint. However my most recent visit with my six year old left a bad taste in my mouth. She had been begging for bangs so I scheduled an appointment for a kids cut. She chickened out an hour before the appointment and decided to get a trim. No worries. We were there on time but not called back until 15 minutes past our time. Again, no worries. Everyone runs late at times. The stylist asked if she needed a hair wash and I said no because she had just had a shower that morning. She then proceeded to give the quickest, most simple trim I've ever seen. It was literally a straight cut at the back of her hair. Not even a quick snip to address the breakage near the front of her face. After a quick blowdry we were at the counter to pay. I'm not exaggerating when I say this haircut took less than 6 minutes. Which again, it's fine. It was a simple trim. And then the shock. $39 for it. I'm all for paying someone their worth, but that price was insane for the service we received. Especially when their website says a kids cut is $28+. Apparently they take liberal notion with that plus sign. So overall, it's an okay salon but I've never been amazed, and watch out if you take your kids here.

My stylist was very sweet, and so was the rest of the staff I encountered, but I felt that for the end result of my hair and what I had to pay, it truthfully wasn't worth it. I definitely don't mind paying well for great quality work, but for over $300, I expected a way better result in terms of color.I really wanted to find a home salon, but it looks like I am on the search yet again.

Alice DeCristo: I’ve been going to Twisted Scizzors on and off for the last 9 years, since moving from NY/NJ. Over Covid lockdown, I grew my hair long. Once things started opening up, I went back to Twisted Scizzors because my friend said that I had to try Arturo. Just for some background, I am 48 and have very dark brown with little sprouts of grey, straight Chinese hair. In natural sunlight there is a little dark reddish, copper highlights. Asian hair is difficult to cut because it’s very slippery when damp and does not do well with razor or thinning shears. If the stylist doesn’t cut with precision the hair will get frizzy after a few washes and grows out terribly. Arturo is amazing! I grew out my hair during Covid and has had it down mid back length. He’s been doing a great job with regular cuts with soft layers and my hair was looking long and beautiful and just gorgeous for the last 2 years. Lately, I’ve been considering chopping all my hair and just wanted something different. When I told Arturo what I wanted and how I normally style my hair, super low maintenance, keep some length so my round face doesn’t get accentuated to be even more round, and flexibility for me style different ways when I wanted something fun, easy and flexible. Arturo cut off between 6-8 inches of my hair and gave me the most beautiful precision medium length graduated bob. He also does my root touch ups and has it match my natural color perfectly and adds a little touch of cherry so it doesn’t look like a flat black. Yes, anyone can do a bob, the difference is how it will look over time and finding the right proportions to your face and versatility for your lifestyle. I highly, highly recommend Arturo if you are looking for gorgeous hair at any length. Now having the experience of going from a dramatic change from long hair to short hair with Arturo, he is the best! Malaysia Wray: I got my first ever DevaCut by Ashley and was very happy with the results plus she gave me tips on product to use that have truly saved my bleached/dyed/ultra curly(no such thing as too much moisture) hair! I’ve since been back for a bang trim and will definitely return for cuts in the future. It’s definitely expensive but I just try to space out my cuts and I never feel pressured to increase the frequency. Overall, I’m glad I took the plunge into the Deva life and that Twisted Scizzors has someone that offers what I was looking for!
Shao: 2 starts because of the first hairstylist that colored my hair. Yhairi (she was nice)I had color done twice and both times I had to go back to get it fixed. The problem was getting an appointment. I was told 2 people could fix it, REALLY?? Only two out of the whole professional hairstylist there? I don’t get it. It was a very disappointing visit.First time around I was there 10 minutes earlier and waited about 15 minutes to be seen. Second time, I was seen on time and it was great. But that did not change my overall experience.Sad to say I wasted my time and money.I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. The product left on my hair was heavy and awful to the touch (both times). I got home, washed and blowed dried my own hair.I for SURE wouldn’t and won’t recommend Twisted Scizzors Salon to my friends and family.Save your money, or give it a try. Good luck!!!!

She shampooed my hair once but didn’t rinse all the shampoo out. She cut my hair in a BOWL as she sang loudly to her Jamaican music. This is professional?? Then she used a very hot iron on my hair which made my hair look very greasy since it still had shampoo in it. I left in tears feeling embarrassed.. Never Again!
