Darcus Elliott: I rented a ride on aerator from here. Service was great. The crew outside helped me secure the load to the trailer. I told my dad where I rented the aerator from because he was interested in renting a stump grinder. He reserved it and I went to pick it up. The grinder wasn't ready so they sent me to the Durham location. They didn't have it either. I had been working with Jordan Bunn throughout the process. Jordan was able to have the machine delivered to my house in light of all the traveling I had done in order to get the stump grinder. The delivery driver unloaded it where it needed to go while staying socially distant. Overall the experience was great thanks to Jordan and the crew. Thank you!

My issue was we had the machine probably 1 hour so when I called the office to ask if there was a price break since we only used it an hour the guy on the phone said sure, we will take care of you. Then, when I returned it the shop guy said hey, you know you get %20 off for early return I said great, however when I checked out the guy gives me a bunch of lies as to how there are no early return discounts on that particular machine just all the others and invoices me full cost. They lost our company’s business I’ll go back to the other company we previously used United Rental

When I called back to do that - they told me - they could not accommodate my order.I found another company - luckily - who made sure they told me I needed to pay quickly or I would lose the tent...That is how this should have been handled. A quick call or an email saying I needed to pay immediately is what a real professional company would have done.

Hatem Tagel-Din: I rented a helium tank from them. I thought I will be saving money this way. I was told I will pay for the amount I use of helium. No one ever checked the meter before I get the tank. I did not comment on this. When I returned it, they measured the meter I ended up paying $152 for less than 80 small size balloons (like 8-9 inches diameter) which almost double what I would have paid if I get two tanks from Walmart. I was told I used 800 units!!!. This was my first and last experience

I can also honestly say if they don't have a piece of equipment available, they will call the competition (usually Holland) to see if they have it available for you! Now that's not only customer service, its understanding a customer's needs.

After the equipment failed, they comped me the rental but told me "wasn't fair for them to pay" for the components they did not have and told me to buy. Lost a load of money dealing with this. An entire day gone. I will stick with Herc.

Frank Alexander: Do not rent from sunbelt. I rented a lift one day and agreent to a price then was hit with delivery and pickup charges that they CLEARLY did not notify me up front about and give me a firm quote. Then, to make matters worse, the location I was working rented the EXACT LIFT right down to the number on the lift, and was charged hundreds less. When I called to complain, all I got was a "our rates vary day to day depending on availability and demand" answer. I paid but will never do business with Sunbelt again. And no one else should either. UPDATE- I tried them one more time. I called for a quote for a 1 day rental and asked are there any other charges. The total verbal quote was $300 all included. The bill came today for $421.60. If this company has had any morals they lost them ages ago. NEVER AGAIN!

Christine Alexander: If you rent from this place, understand that they are not upfront with the total price and they charge everyone different prices at their whim for the same rental. They are not upfront and do not recommend them.

Brian Ortscheid: Rented a mini ex and a dingo. Mini ex was fine but the dingo kept cutting off. Asked about a set of forks and was told they were out on rent and was scheduled to be picked up the next day. I took a gamble but ultimately the customer had called and extended the rent on the forks.When I called to check on the forks Jonathan answered and smugly responded that "I told you the customer could extend them" to which I said yes but you said they were on the computer for pick up and thats why i took the gamble(really just explaining my decision), he said no I did not, to which I said yes you did and we went back and forth like that a couple times then he said stop yelling at me. Was not yelling but talking loud because i was on my truck phone and sometimes people have a hard time hearing me. Didn't matter anyway but he just kept on insisting that he was right. Never had a sales guy talk like this to me the way he did. I rent ALLOT of equipment but this place was right down the road, I don't care if I'm working next door. They'll just have to look at the orange H&E equipment.

Ashlee LaManna: I recently rented a generator from Sunbelt Rentals. The whole process, from reserving the equipment online to pickup, went so smoothly. I was called promptly to confirm my online reservation, and then when I got there, Connor greeted me in the yard with a smile and helped get me the equipment I needed. The staff then showed me how to use the generator and helped to load it in my vehicle, as well. The equipment was super user friendly, setup was a breeze and it worked perfectly for the few days I needed it. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this site to my friends and family. American Patriot decals: I rented a skid from sunbelt to do a weekend job, ran great, Connor helped me out a lot he’s helpful, and easy to talk too, you would have thought he was a salesman, i enjoy every time i come back to this location, he remembers me everytime! It’s got a friendly/ family feel, or i just spend way too much time and money there. Either way this place is amazing.

Blaine Charak: Sunbelt Rentals is one of the few places in this area of Raleigh to have a propane filling facility. As a RV owner, I can’t simply pull up to Home Depot and switch out a tank, so need trained personnel to fill the internal tank. The employees at Sunbelt Rentals did a great and courteous job in taking care of my rig, and the front office staff had me quickly on my way.I’ll definitely stop by again for my propane needs..

Motorcycle Innovations Corp: This place is a joke called to rent an excavator on Friday said I would pick up on Saturday was told it was not a problem. Showed up Saturday to find out it is not open, the store hours on google say it's open, also they told me they would be there. Called the help line they told me that I would have to pay an emergency fee to pick up. This place will waist your time go anywhere but here if you need something, they don't care how far you drive, and have no customer service. One star, more like negative 5 star. Will never use sunbelt, would rather dig by hand then give them my hard earned money.

L. Bagwell: Update 11/1/18 :Spoke to Tim at Sunbelt Rental and he provided the compassion that I had hoped for when I returned the generator. He apologized not only for the trouble with the generator, but also for the inside employee that seemed to care less that we had trouble with our rental unit. He provided a partial refund which I greatly appreciate, since our basement re-flooded while we were having issues with the rental generator. He also said that he would speak with the inside person that I spoke to when I returned the rental. Thank you very much Tim.While we had issues with the rental generator and customer service inside when returning it was lacking, the customer service provided by Tim was excellent. Additionally, the customer service provided after hours was excellent as well. It took them awhile to figure out what to do, but in the end they got our rental working until the power came back on. They were even willing to drive out another rental generator, but one last call from support got our original rental working. We live an hour away from this Sunbelt Rental, so it was good to hear that they were willing to drive that far to help fix the situation.Overall, I would now recommend Sunbelt Rentals. The on site manager, Tim, is very compassionate and provides wonderful customer service. The after hours customer support and several individuals at this Sunbelt Rental location were very good and worked hard to help us even though they were probably home with their families since it was in the evening. Thank you very much!Original Review October 2018: Rented a 3600W generator because of power outage from hurricane. Pick up went smoothly and they showed us how to operate it. Got it home and it started right up.We plugged in a sump pump and a chest freezer. Everything ran smoothly for an hour or so. Sump was turning on and off, freezer was on. The generator shutdown a little over an hour later. Went out and removed load, restarted. Again started right up and we put the load back on.About 45 mins later, it shut off again. Followed same procedure as before and started it back up, but sounded rough and was sputtering we tried to let it run for a few before adding a load. It died again. Then we couldn't get it to stay on. It would turn over and start then die.Contacted after hour support because the store was closed already. Spoke to several different people and they were going to drive out with another one.Received one final call that said to try and loosen the gas cap, but leave it on. That worked and the generator ran fine until the power came back on.When we returned the generator, the person removing it from the vehicle was very nice and apologetic.When I took the ticket inside to the person there, he took the ticket didn't offer any discount, apologize or anything.Our basement re-flooded in the hour or so it took to get the generator running again. I even said that to the person inside the store. Again, no apology or anything.So we were rented a generator that had a faulty gas cap or clogged vent. On top of that, they did nothing to make up for that fact. Horrible customer service in the store when we returned it. Very disappointed in the experience.

John Shoffeitt: When I decided to tackle my first epoxy garage floor job I reached out to Sunbelt Flooring Solutions to rent a planetary concrete grinder to prepare my floor. I spoke with Chris Glover over the telephone and found him to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. When I arrived, Chris and their mechanic Gordon were able to recommend the best equipment to do the job right and efficiently. They took the time to show me the proper technique and assist me with loading the grinder onto my trailer. They were also very flexible with the timing to return the equipment. The floor turned out great and a large component of the result is attributable to the awesome people with Sunbelt Flooring Solutions. Highly recommended.
