Cory Lambert: This was my first - and last - experience with NM at Southpark Mall. I’ve been a native of Charlotte my entire life, and am well-aware that Southpark has always catered towards a financially-affluent consumer audience. Now in my adulthood, and with expendable income, I ventured into NM last week to purchase a Chanticalle foundation that I saw online. This is the only store in the area that sells it in-store and I needed to be color matched before spending $130 on makeup. The Chanticalle makeup counter consultant was pleasant and respectful. She even upsold me a $120 sunscreen/primer. I want to note that I told her I was apprehensive of the formula, as I have very oily skin and she assured me it would work and be light-weight enough for daily wear and to “just give it a try”. At no point did she mention a return policy or that I couldn’t bring it back to exchange it for store credit if her color-match was off (given they have fluorescent lighting in the store and it turned out to be much too orange in natural light). I tried it for two days and it was awful; I looked like an oil slick. I decided to return it, as I obviously cannot use it and do not want it. However, upon my entrance into the store today, I was met with looks of “she’s too poor to be here” - because I wasn’t wearing any up-scale brands like LV, etc. I was in tasteful (and expensive) black leggings and a t-shirt. I went directly to the Chanticalle counter and waited to be greeted by THREE different female consultants - all of whom made eye contact with me, acknowledging my presence, and literally walked off to avoid me. I finally was able to get someone at the Chanel counter to help, but she said that she needed to find the woman who completed the sale because “they can’t take makeup returns and it’s on her to handle it.” So rude, to both me and her coworker. I then had to walk to the other end of the cosmetics department to find this specific consultant, who greeted me with nothing but a cold “what do you want?” stare. She acted like she hadn’t just been told by her coworker that I needed to make a return with her. She then sighed in my face, and walked me to the register, and asked if I’d used the product. Well duh … it’s makeup. How can I know if it works for me if I don’t use it? She said their store policy is that can’t take back any item that “isn’t in re-sellable condition” (which is ridiculous, considering the inherent nature of cosmetics …) She then said that she would “do it this one time but in the future, they can’t do any more favors like this.” I was flabbergasted! Then she couldn’t even get the register to process my return for three tries. At the end, she literally just handed me my return receipt and walked off. Never in my life have I been treated with such prejudice at a store that I’M PAYING TO BE IN. I will never again come to NM, as it’s obvious they are cheap (because who in the world is re-selling used, returned “luxury” items??) and do not have the competency to train their staff that any customer has the capacity to be a sale - not just the ones that “look” rich.

AJH AJH: I love the Dillards experience. Grew up going to the store with my mom. I say that to say I am giving 3 stars based on an employee in the women dress area. She’s been there a while because I’ve seen her in action and yesterday she tried me. Bottom line is her energy is off, she’s aggressive, combative at the register with guest, and quiet frankly not the person you want to chat with when your about to spend hundreds of dollars. She’s an older women….Dillards I can’t be the first to say something, so you know who this is.

Lakeisha Hill (Kitty): So, my original plan was to go to Concord Mills Mall (Coach Outlet)but, I ended up going to South Park Mall( I love this mall) to look for a Coach bag. I decided to walk into Dillard's because I didn't have any luck in Macy's on what I was looking for. So, I was in between buying a Coach or Michael Kors bag. I searched Coach bags but I need something that was going to POP for Spring. 🙂 They had a markdown on their bag today which was awesome. So, the hot pink bag stood out for me because I love pink. Originally it was $168 but, the steal was $100. So, then I got a mini wallet with originally was $76 but, the steal was $46. I had an amazing day & ended it with a cinnamon & sugar pretzel w/ a lemonade from Auntie Annie's. 🙂 Ladies, there's some awesome deals if you need any ideas for Mother's Day, birthdays or just for retail therapy. Khaos by Key: I went in here to get a gift for my friends birthday and the experience left me so disgusted that I will never shop here again. The first time I went I I was not greeted and looked up and down just to be ignored although there were other "customers". I went to the Fragrance Outlet which was unfortunately closed on Sunday's, so in a pinch of time I ended up having to return to this establishment. The second time I went in there was no customers and there was still no greeting. The associate Kenyatta who I ultimately purchased "Versace Yellow Diamond" from was in the store both times and overlooked me continuing her conversation with her coworker until the associate/manager had to ask her to assist me. She displayed a lackluster attitude and very little customer interaction. I felt like I was buying cigarettes instead of a fine fragrance and the ONLY REASON I decide to purchase any way besides being last minute was to flex on these #03$. The price was good but I would've rather spent the additional $20 for someone to actually act like they worked at a fragrance store. I'm so mad I'm writing this review from the parking lot.

The way the salesperson, Nayeli, inspected my glasses made feel discriminated against. I understand that the glasses needs inspection. But for about 2 mins she consistently sprayed the same spots as if she was attempting to find a reason to reject the return. I would expect this if the glasses that are purchased from these Outlets were fresh out the box, but considering the glasses are being worn by multiple people before purchasing, the amount of scrutiny should be adjusted accordingly. Her attitude was very dry and I just felt she was overdoing the inspection because of the color of my skin. I will never visit Sunglass Hut again, especially this location.

I took them back to store with original receipt because I have been a repeat customer with sunglass hut and they have always been helpful until now! The lady didnt even attempt to help. She said you didnt buy our optional warranty which I was never told about less then 30 days prior, so there was nothing she could do I would need to reach out to Maui Jim. This is very disappointing and I will not be going back to any sunglass hut. They dont stand behind what they sell even within a month. They wash their hands and say we cant help after paying 300$ for a pair of glasses.
