Caitlin Spencer: Slow service. Most of the staff seem indifferent and are not friendly or even willing to explain things to customers.
Marjory Holdren: Only one location open for inside business. Went in for new ATM/Debit card. Waited 2 hours and then was told card machine was broken. Was told they would call when machine was fixed and then I could just come in and card would be ready. Machine was down from 6/12 to 6/21. Had no card for making purchases. When machine finally repaired, had to go in and wait another 90 minutes .Also,, their "fancy" ATM machine NEVER work's.

Basically wasted two days with the Staff only to be told they are forwarding my requests and would"get back to me". Going on a week Friday and they have locked account and canceled debit cards and no word. Put your money elsewhere if you need access to it like USAA.
Von J: When I relocated to the area from out of state, I thought this would be a great credit union to join-boy was I wrong. I’ve been met with inconvenience after headache. Had to call and ask why I never got a debit card (told I had to call in and order one) I needed a money order, had to go inside for it, no biggie. Needed a replacement card and that was a joke, too! The biggest issue I’ve had is the fact that I wasn’t properly helped regarding overdraft fees in excess of $500. I was told I signed forms so it’s my mistake that my accounts weren’t linked, subsequently costing me $500 in fees that should’ve been avoided being as I had the funds available in savings. The manager told me all she could do was give me a $29 dollar one time fee removal-HA! I’m searching for a new bank now. Do not recommended this bank to anyone. Felt like I was violated in the worst way here!

Went down the street to Navy Federal and they were friendly, welcoming, and excellent. Took me 15 min to open a new account and receive my requested service.

Mone John: If you have a Visa dispute stay on top of the bank because they personally lied to me about turning in my information and I made the employees send me all the transcripts so I can go over them and I realized that they didn't send a single soul of my evidence or information to be reviewed by visa and only the bank can contact Visa so your left at their Mercy. After sending an email to the employer letting them know that I'm aware that they failed me they didn't even responds with a sorry but I got a phone number to an assistant manager which was a waste of time because she was sick out of the office not returning calls. After a few weeks I called the president CEO of the bank and this disrespectful person that doesn't need to be in charge just laughed at the situation after I inform him that I contacted the Better Business Bureau and they got my refund in less than a week.He rudely told me that I should have been contacted them and I let him know that that wasn't my job my bank is in charge of handling this but since they failed me I did it myself so basically don't bank with them he also told me that they're understaffed so that's their excuse but my thing is if you can keep taking on customers then you're not understaffed you're just greedy

Ricky Raccoon: The postal credit union I've used for over 30 years is shutting down (after a merger with Piedmont Advantage 2 years ago) and they recommended all of their members open an account at Bragg Mutual. All leftover accounts would be merged over to Bragg Mutual if still open by May or June, the actual transfer date is still to be determined.Because I have 2 different federal deposits monthly, I determined my best way forward was to go ahead and proactively open an account at Bragg Mutual, so I could be sure to have the proper routing and account numbers attached to my deposits to avoid any possible snafus, as it takes a month or two before the changes would go into effect. Then, once I was sure my deposits were properly rerouted, I would close my postal credit union account before the actual merge date. Easy peasy, right?Evidently not.First, I tried to open a new account at Bragg Mutual online. I submitted the proper documentation but for some reason it couldn't be verified and they directed me to go to the nearest branch and do so in person. So I did.But even though I had filled out all of the documentation online, and even though I explained this to the gentleman seated before me, I was forced to do it all over again, as if the online application process meant nothing.I also explained to him why I was wanting to open an account there and explained the fact that my long time credit union was shuttering its doors. He stated that they had just became aware of the situation in an email from corporate. After I filled out the application and provided my credentials, he stated they could not open an account for me at this time until he got the go ahead from someone above him (who happened to be in a meeting and unavailable.) He apologized and was thoroughly professional at all times, but this was insulting to me as I could have just walked in off the street, not mentioned anything about my credit union closing and easily opened an account, but because I had informed him my credit union would be closing in a few months, I was penalized by not being allowed to open an account. It was a totally wasted trip, wasted time and a definite negative experience.This was unacceptable to me and I will take my business to someone who actually wants it.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------***In response to the response from Bragg Mutual...The name is Ricky, not Rickey. Nice sleight there. Upon rereading the email, you are correct in that Piedmont Advantage did not tell it's members to come over and open up an account with Bragg Mutual. It simply stated the accounts would be transferred in late May-early June. I stand corrected in that regard..What is confusing to me is why I can't open up an account with Bragg Mutual? Do I somehow not qualify? I met all of the qualifications listed to open up an account. Is there something in your bylaws that states I can't have accounts at both credit unions?Surely, I won't be the last person who is a current customer of the old FPCU to come over to try and open up an account so that any possible mix-ups in federal deposits, (specifically, account and routing numbers) would be nipped in the bud before they could happen.You further stated, "...we agreed not to move any membership until the acquisition date, therefore we cannot open a membership until that future date..." but I didn't ask to move my membership. I asked to open an account with the short range goal of properly rerouting thousands of dollars of monthly federal deposits into a Bragg Mutual account. Once that goal was achieved, I would have then looked at closing my old account, but this process alone would take 1-2 months, barely within the time frame I was given for the transfer of my account to Bragg Mutual.After all, when federal deposits with one specific routing and account number are being rerouted to another, what could possibly go wrong?

I’ve been calling and leaving messages with the bank for over two weeks and I still haven’t gotten a call back & nowhere with my account,I do not recommend this bank to anybody……. I’m waiting to get an actual phone call back from the bank pertaining to a visa dispute… as far as I know the bank is responsible for not turning in my information on time and I may not be getting my money back but I’m not sure because since 11 o’clock this morning I’ve been waiting for the bank to call me back it’s now 5:04 no call…so if this is not resolved we have an even bigger issue because I am not taking the responsibility of my bank not turning in my statements to Visa on time.

Also their bathroom is right off main room opens facing the teller line. Who does that? The teller was nice and professional which is why 2 stars.
kim boahn: Every other month I go to pay my car loan online and "my account can not be found", so I call and have to pay $5 for them to process the payment over the phone even though it's their mistake, AND completely reregister online. Got fed up, took out a loan somewhere else to pay this joke off, can't pay it off online for some reason, and they can't make a payment of more than $2000, so I'd have to make 3 payments and pay $15 in processing fees over 3 days just to pay off the loan. Customer service is terrible, and when I get transferred to someone higher up I get voicemail and they never call back. Never using this bank again.

Corey H: Yesterday another member made a deposit into my checking account, which was fine. Later that night I was sent the receipt to confirm the deposit was made into my account. The receipt displayed not only the deposit information but also my account information and account balance on a receipt to someone who I don't even have a joint account with. Even had my account balance scribbled out in pen as if I couldn't see the numbers. I have an individual account with nobody but myself on the account. So why is my privacy being compromised against policy and being shared with other individuals? I am beyond upset with my account privacy being compromised. I was told it was done by someone in training. Well why wasn't someone overlooking this individual throughout the transaction? Highly unprofessional and I do not accept that. I will be closing my accounts by next week.
Mary Tripp: How are you going to say a 30 year 100% disabled vet doesn't qualify for a free checking account. My husband has ptsd and prior to us getting married he had no idea he was paying $5 a month for a checking account with these crooks for all these years. I was furious when he added me to this account and I saw that charge. I called and of course they could care less because their concern is money not veteran's. He also has a direct deposit from his job going there and has a savings account also. I adviced them that I would be in to close both accounts when Navy federal is free for military and State employees credit union only charges $1. Do not use this bank or if you do make sure you're not paying for what you could be and should be getting for free. Who wants to pay for someone to hold their money!

Amanda Dykstra: Every time I go to Navy Federal especially at this location I always receive outstanding customer service. I’m currently going through a divorce and needed legal documentation done. When I had to call my ex husband for paperwork he was extremely rude to me and the representative. The manager Joshua, could see my distress and how both myself and the representative was being mistreated. He was so kind to both of us and was super helpful to me and the representative. This bank has always been professional, flexible, and kind to me with all my financial needs. I will continue to bank with this bank forever!

John: Such a pleasant experience it was visiting this branch. They were friendly, happy to serve, and very accommodating. After the horrible service I got from the Fort Bragg Credit Union, this was a breath of fresh air. They remind me of how USAA used to be.

They have always been able to tackle the issues I had right there on the spot, including same day new debit card replacements — which is an all star service by the way!! During my most recent visit, Joshua at the front desk was very helpful and conversant as well. There were over ten people in the lobby waiting but he had it all organized so that quick fixes were taken care of quickly. I was in and out in about 5-7 minutes.

Gregory Williamson: So, I like NFCU as a large national credit union. It is huge. Unfortunately, the local branches are not always what I expect for service. The local NFCU on SKIBO in Fayetteville, NC has much to be desired. It is typically overwhelmed with long lines inside and outside. It seems that they need a new location with a drive up window/s and more tellers, or they need an additional location. I find the staff friendly, but at some management level better decisions need to be made regarding staffing, customer service and convenience.
Sunflower Roses: Every interactive experience I've had with the personnel at this location was very unpleasant. It's either they have an attitude because they are incompetent and don't know the answers to the easy questions I'm asking, or give an attitude, rolling their eyes, cutting me off or all of the above. These are some of the most unprofessional people I've ever met, considering they are in the field of customer service. I think the personnel need to be replaced or rotated to other locations and definitely require more training and management to enforce acceptable standards.

Sha H.: On the 3rd of June, 2022, I attempted to do a deposit at the atm machine in front of the Navy Federal bank because it was after hours. The machine kicked out all the my cash except for $20.00. I could see the $20.00 bill jammed inside of the machine but I couldn’t retrieve it. I called Navy Federal once I left the atm. I was informed that a dispute could be filed regarding the issue. I called them about a 5 days later to find out what the status was regarding the dispute. I was informed that they were still investigating the situation. I didn’t hear anything back from them. No email or anything. I called once again on the 14th of June. Tobie Williams: The staff at this location is always super friendly and professional. They take time with each customer. Though they are very efficient about taking care of your business quickly and moving the line you don't feel rushed when it's your turn at the counter. The drive thru line seems to take longer to me but I've never had any problems there either. I have been there when the ATM machine is down more often than I appreciate but these things happen and I'm not sure how much control they have if the machine goes down during off hours. Overall, I am a satisfied member.

Saadiqua Aber: Loleta Manager Gave me & My Elderly Auntie the most unwelcoming look this Afternoon as We walked into the Bank No Greeting No Smile maybe this was because she had to stop giggling with her coworker but either way she was Just rude and refused to help us after we was directed to go to our nearest branch with ID and Paystub to proceed with a new account I’v been banking with these ppl for over 10yrs now and felt very comfortable telling people to open an account with them but this is like the 3rd time Ms.Loleta has been disrespectful and rude which is why I recommend ppl to just go to Skibo location until this lady receive some classes in customer service and retail Loleta is just very mean Black Lady with Very Poor customer service skills how dare Yal make her a manager than when I asked for someone to speak to above her and her response was I am the person higher up like seriously lady I’m black as well so no I’m not worried about skin color I’m Concerned about her Nasty Attitude overall disrespectful and wouldn’t allow my Auntie to finish her question it’s sad I’m Upset that I had to put give a star because she doesn’t deserve such
J R N: They were very efficient in setting up my new accounts, all of them seem very knowledgeable and proficient. We were in and out in about 20 min at most and that was with someone in front of us. It was so much easier and quicker going in person to set up latest accounts than it was to set up one of the accounts over the phone/online.
Heather King: Service is way too slow. Waited an hour for something that took 20 minutes. Cross train your employees for better service. There were at least 2 other employees just sitting in their office who could have helped customers waiting for something other than teller services. My assumption is that they were only able to provide the service they were trained for. When your bank is busy, it should be all hands on deck. Won’t be doing business with you guys much longer if this keeps happening.

For Fayetteville to only have 2 locations and they service an installation as large as Fort Bragg I’d imagined that there would always be a lot of tellers available and it is not. The bank is normally full and the environment is calm, but the wait time in line is always slow.

Alleea Oliver: NEVER BANK WITH THIS CREDIT UNION!! If I could rate zero stars I would. This is absolutely the WORST bank you could bank with. The customer service is terrible. The contact number they provide Is a 1-800 number and it is nearly impossible to talk to anyone
Brandy Gillis: This is the absolute worst bank to deal with. I have had nothing but bad experinces. Nobody seems to know anything they only transfer person to perosn then someone hangs up on you. DO NOT FINANCE a vehicle here. You try to get pay off letter and they give you a run around talking about specialist has to call you. I never seen that you have to beg someone to pay them. They are not bank of there word. How hatd is it so send email showing / stating total payoff amount
Elisabeth Slater McMillon: Very difficult to make payments because of archaic systems. They did not even want to accept a wire transfer to pay off our mortgage. Money was not applied to the mortgage and was credited to our account. Our closing attorney was on the phone for extended periods to get this taken care of.
Kimberly Smith: I have been a member of this credit union for close to 15 years. I have Always been greeted with a smile and felt like I was walking into the workplace of friends who will do anything in their power to help me. I didn't start out with great credit but as time went they recognized my lack of creditors didn't mean I wasn't paying my bills so I got a car loan. My credit score came up and the next loan was better than I was even quoted. I'm looking to trade in again and will be going right back to them. They have always done right by me.

I reviewed some of the other issues that clients are discussing, and they all seem to not understand how the bank is organized and maintained. First of all, if you don't know about the dangers of using your Debt card then please take the time to read the contract you signed when you asked for this service. This is a great location, new and includes various security features to protect the clients and staff. Enjoy the additional service and benefits offered by this Credit Union and please take the time to read about the issues that are inherently plaqueing our financial system!

elizabeth deane: I WANTED TO AMEND THIS: I just got my new card. 14 days to reach me. Unbelievable.I have never had a bad experience until now. Sharonview is changing their cards services and had notified the customers of when the old card would be closed. To call if any problems. So I called the number listed on the form letter. Pressed all the prompts. After holding 20 minutes-got a live person-who said she would have to transfter me to a loan specialist. Then I got place on hold-got an automated machine that wanted me card #. After two tries, couldn't find it. Probably closed. Transferred me to a live person. Who asked for my card # twice. Then name, ss, zip code and dob. Finally said you new card was sent (date was weeks ago). If I don't get it by (another date) call back. There is no direct #, I will have to play this game again. This is not good customer service.
Victor Maya: I tried paying my first bill online it wouldn't let me, I tried calling the both phone numbers they provide each one just sent me back & fourth to each other I could never get in touch with someone. I emailed them they also didn't answer the email. My credit is going to get ruined just because their service is terrible.
Trevor McDonald: I was a member of sharonview for a little over a year, in the beginning I needed the account but I found a better institution that won’t nickel and dime me and use policies to enforce charges on me.. anyway after find a new place other than sharonview, I kept my sharonview account active just in case I still wanted to keep the business going with them in the future.. anyway I should have closed it because I had Netflix on my debit card and didn’t even know when the charge from them would be coming out and even though I opted out of overdraft and requested that sharonview decline charges if the account balance isn’t sufficient sharonview paid Netflix $19.25 and charged me an nsf transaction fee of $32.. this didn’t make any sense so I closed my account because I don’t want to have to remember or worry about such unfair practices.. if the money not there, don’t pay it.. this wasn’t an ACH check transaction.. it was a debit card charge that should be declined.. I went and paid this instantly to sharonview and closed my account.. you know what else was crazy!! I didn’t even matter no one offered to help me or asked why I was closing the account because guess what.. we don’t matter.. they have enough customers!! Plenty more people out there!! I’m just one person.. and did I mention that this was the first time I had a transaction that even took me Into a negative balance?.. yeah.. and it wasn’t intentional.. I just don’t do well remembering things that are set on auto pay, and I had the money available in another institution.. that’s how I was able to pay and close the sharonview account the same day.. they don’t really care about us though..As a follow up to the owners response, no one ever tried to reach out to me to resolve or even try to explain what happened so please don’t view those responses as a gesture to correct anything because they don’t try to.. it’s just there to make the reviews seem like they tried to clean up the mess..Now on March 23rd 2021 I missed a call from sharonview credit union at about 9:11am.. it’s ok though, I don’t think they plan on returning the $32 that they think is now rightfully theirs.. when I joined the credit union I thought it was to get away from the unfair fees.. I’ve been with pnc bank for much longer than these guys.. and for one almost ever bank will reverse the first overdraft fee accessed to anyone’s account as a courtesy and second from I’ve been with pnc bank I’ve been happier than with sharonview because like I said if I’m opted out of overdraft I’m telling the bank do not pay if there’s no funds to cover any transaction.. and I stress this was a debit card transaction, not a bounced check or ach.. debit card.
Skylar Haven: I was disappointed in Sharonview Credit union. When i first open my account I was very impress by the façade. Was new in town thought i found a financial institution that care about there members. Boy was i wrong. I had a few bad energy vibes a couple time with Sharonview Cr. Union but ignored. This Credit Union is not a safe setting they have you stand outside though a window yelling all your private business on a open sidewalk so everyone or anyone to hear what you are putting or taking out your account. Than the Women inside the building look at you through the glass doors like what do you want like your bothering them. I do not recommend them at all. One of the worst credit union i know. Definitely doing business elsewhere, I close my accounts with them. so sad they look like they can be a great credit union but they are missing the main ingredient. And that is caring for their members no matter what they should look like or how much money they have Respect for the members who are doing business in your establishment, is the key. Bye Sharonview.

Justin Warren: Probably the worst bank ive banked with. Was charged a "Reg D Fee" for 287.37 and it charged my savings account putting it in the negative. Was not able to withdrawl funds from any account and they blocked my debit card from being used. They wouldnt accept payments to take care of the fee or anything, very inconvenient considering i was out of gas and needed MY funds to get home and couldnt access them without going to one of the institutes the next morning and paying the fee completely.
