Madison G: Larry at the prime rib counter is so nice, and he was doing so much. He was away from the counter for a moment because he was busy, and a long line was forming. I noticed the manager, Kristi, standing there STARING at every waiting while talking to two other associates, not doing anything. Larry comes back and immediately starts helping everyone. Kristi walks up and another customer had made a funny comment about self serving since he was away, and Kristi replies “Well it sounds like your server isn’t serving well enough” and I was APPALLED. I said back “Well there was employees standing over there talking and not doing anything” (insinuating her) she could tell, side eyed me and didn’t say another word the entire time she was up there. And she’s a MANAGER. That woman is unprofessional, rude, and lazy. How are you gonna down talk your employee in front of customers when he was doing everything he could and you were standing there doing nothing? Btw, Larry hooked me up with prime rib very well and he’s always so kind. 5 stars for Larry, Kristi tho, she deserves no recognition. i’m a manager myself. She’s very rude and unprofessional!

Sofia: This grocery store either hires the most rude people on purpose, or management is despicable and makes their employees life a nightmare because they are always sad, unhappy and so rude. Especially at the fish shop, like I refrain myself from even shop but I needed some salmo for a last minute dinner, and the guy serving me was so unbelievably annoyed that I asked for help. “What’s up”, he said with an angry tone and the attitude of 3 years old. Like I’m his sister or knows me. “What’s up”. I asked for salmon, he handed to me, I say: “thank you”, he turn around and ignores me completely. I don’t know what kept me from saying something. I don’t get it, you rude for fun? If you hate this job, just quit.

I add cold items last when shopping which is alot more running around for je just to have my cold and frozen items thrown in seperate bags. Please remind the check out staff about this. I live close but some folks don't and melted ice cream bars and sushi that makes you sick is not ok.

Mouth “Aaaa” Face: My go-to grocery store because the quality and food choices are better. Service is good. I like the to go self-service options, soup n salad, pizza, Chinese or stay for a drink at the wine bar. They have a nice keto section with a variety of choices.My biggest complaint is that the olive bar regularly runs out of containers and lids.

Sales items never ring up correctly and service desk staff never honor the “full refund guarantee” unless specifically asked. HT is supposed to give the item for free when it rings up wrong, not give the difference in price.

Karen Haldeman: I have always shopped with Food Lion, but on Easter weekend I stopped for Food Lion's soda and was shocked to see they had raised their price by .29 a 2 liter bottle and they stupidity of the sign hanging was, "Oh saving for 4 for 1.25 each." This is not saving, this is more money in their pocket at the customers expense!

Aron Briggs: This is the grocery store I have used since I moved here in 2013. I like it better than Harris Teeter down the road, it feels less hoity toity and I feel like there are more meat options (or at least out of what I eat). They have a good produce selection and a friendly and helpful staff. In my opinion it's the best Food Lion in the area.

Angela Sally: I was threatened by one of food lion (5555 Waldos Beach Fayetteville NC 28306) employees in November, I am just posting now because I gave HQ Food Lion customer service a chance to respond. However, no response to my follow up emails for what happened when customer service contacted Waldos Beach Food Lion. The situation started when I did not get a receipt and I asked one of the employees for assistance. He could not get the receipt to print. I asked for a manager just in case I needed to return something. An employee who I was told was named Neva (not sure of spelling) came out and told me she could get the receipt. She went into office, came out and asked how much did order total, went back in office but could not find get receipt. She then asked what items I bought; I told her. She still could not get receipt. This went back and forth for about 10 minutes. I then asked her how much longer, because I needed to leave. She then got upset and harshly told me it will take as long as it takes, and she would not put a time limit. As I was explaining to her why I was concerned about receipt, and it has already been over 10 minutes. She just cut me off and told me goodbye in a nasty sarcastic way. I then asked to speak to a manager. She then began to curse me and told me I did not know who I was F***ing with. I was shocked and upset. I pulled off my mask and prepared for an attack and she then pointed her finger in my face and told me don't move. Another employee came over to calm her down. Neva then said she would get a manager and I started to walk with her and then she told me not to go walking with her and curse me again. I told her I could walk if I wanted to. Another employee came over to speak with me, and I told her how the employee was so aggressive and threatening. When I asked, she identified herself as assistance store manager named Tammy, she said she would speak to Neva. I have gone to that store since it first opened and never had a problem until today. I truly felt threatened by the food lion employee. I contacted customer service, and I received email that said they had contacted that food lion, but I have not heard anything else. I sent a follow-up email and still have not heard anything. I do not feel safe going to fool lion and will not go back until this issue is resolve. With today’s environment with angry employees, you would think Food Lion would take this seriously. But apparently, they do not.
