Seventy-First High School: what do users think?
SF: I graduated in 2014. The school is alright. It’s not the best, but it’s not terrible either. There are some excellent teachers, who do care about their students and go above and beyond. There are also some bad teachers, who could go back to college and relearn a thing or two. There were a lot of fights that happened just about every day while I was there. There were also a lot of gang related shootings and fights during my four years there, the biggest one was during 2012. I went back after I graduated to be a proctor, and that was horrendous. The teacher I proctored for told his students how long they had to complete the test, and said that they could sleep the first half, if they wanted to, and he would wake them up at the half point so they could take their test. After the school finally announced that the EOC had ended, they started releasing students by halls to go to lunch. I rode with a former teacher to the school that morning, and after the testing was done, I attempted to walk back to her classroom because I was stuck there until the students got out for the day. Mr. Williams stopped me and told me to go into the lunch room because students could not roam the halls. I told him I was not a student and even showed him the visitors pass I was wearing on my chest. He kept arguing with me, stating that I had to go into the lunch room and could not roam the halls or I would be suspended. This may be why it is so hard to get proctors, and retain them!! If you are a recent graduate, or look young, I would not recommend proctoring.
Nic Knack: Has a important role in the Fayetteville community and a great school.
camay evans: I hate this school! The only good principals are the women. The men principals walk around trying to push the males over the edge. Mr. Williams is a black man who does not care about the young black males at his school. His job is to work hard to send the males to the alternative school. I can't believe he has held a job this long! If you can help it do not send your child to this school. The only reason I gave the school one star is they have a great math teacher Mrs. Lynch!!!She bends over backwards for her students. The best teacher ever!!!!
Silent assassin: The whole school overall is just terrible if you don’t believe me just read the other reviews it sums it all up
Momma Shelly: Every student is expected to automatically know all the rules and regulations without any written knowledge of it. They suppose to have psychic powers I guess. School is ran similar to prison minus the jumpsuits. In my opinion that prepares students for a smooth transition from school to prison.
Malachi Walton: Awesome
Mashelle Bradford: The band experience, the interest of the social workers, guidance counselors, and teachers have made a terrific experience for my son. He is now a senior bound for college.
Imani Cain: They 5 Day Policy Is Dumb , Cause What if An Emergency Comes Up And we need our phone i dont think they think about that . But anyways Mr.Parker And Mrs.Peoples Are The Best Ones In The Building To Me .
Desiree Garvin: They don't want to hear anything from you your always wrong and their always you try to utter a word suspension or iss they may describe it as a good school but do you know how many shootouts there are at that school and how many gang related fights there are the only thing I can say is good the boys and Mrs jocelyn simpliciano
Shauna Berry: It good
Dawon Hille: Being there was a great learning experience for me and meeting new people was great. Class of 2009!!!!!
Shawn L Moran: As a graduate of 71st, I can say that the instructors, administrators, and support staff did an excellent job in helping all the young people achieve greatness! I miss my school! Fly high falcons!
zach jonson: The principal, Myron Williams, and the administration at Seventy First High School will go out of their way and against their own policies just to inconvenience you and your child.
William Walker Jr: great school
Tyler Matthews: Awesome !

E. E. Smith High School: what do users think?
The Black Millenial Woman: I graduated in 2014 and I love this school lol I enjoyed coming here and I love that golden bull pride. Alumni is great and will continue to support this school!!!
Anne Bynoe: I haven't lived here long, had a chance to visit this school, and it to be an enlightening experience. I'm glad I had the chance to be there.
Aiad Alkablany: I neve been ther
Sara Gibson: I graduated from E.E. Smith in 1998. My son just graduated with the class of 2016. This is an excellent school that goes way above and beyond for their students. Mrs. Faircloth is an excellent teacher in the special needs department. She went to great lengths to make sure my son and his peers achieved greatness. My son who is autistic was crowned Prom King. That shows the love and compassion that the student body has for their peers. Melody Chalmers is a fantastic principal who deserves every accolade she can receive. I would give this school 10 stars if I could!!
Keariasmith Smith: Smith bruh... Anyone remember the fire from the science class? And all the fights that happen the too much joking around in class I love smith but I hate the lack of learning that's going on in the classrooms behind the sean
Gerhard Guevarra: EE Smith works very hard to educate each of their students. Many students are successful at EE Smith, don't let ratings and scores dictate if you think a school that is good for your child. Please visit the school and make that decision.
Mason Phillip Mendiola: horiable school has too many classes that are interrupted by immature students
JALEN BAKER: Class of 2015 proud to be A golden bull!!!!
Chris Felder: Awesome school....Mrs. Chalmers has changed my children's life in education. Thanks for all you do!

Westover High School: what do users think?
Roger Thompson: Some of the staff are very helpful, others are just plain useless. Same can be said for the teachers. The kids openly flaunt the dress code and faculty randomly choose who they will enforce it on. Kids go to school smelling like weed and teachers seem unconcerned with it. Kids disrupt class and there are teachers that allow it to go on, without calling the kids out on it. The kids here obviously have little home supervision which explains why the kids are so rowdy here. If you are looking for a district where your kids can blossom and excel in education, this is not the place.
Ali Sabla: My time at this school has been rather mixed. I tend to keep to myself, so I don't deal with fights, drama, etc, and I'm a more so well behaved student. That being said, that does not mean that teachers will always show a nice attitude towards you, but that's to be expected; students can be rather.. Terrible, causing fights, or just doing unnecessary things. However, I'm not saying fights happen everyday at this school, that'd be a false thing to say. Fights do happen still, and some may even consider it to be a "regular thing", unfortunately enough. Administration is fine, at least from my personal experience, though sometimes can be a mixed bag. The same goes with teachers, though for the most part, most of the teachers I've had here haven't been bad.Am I saying Westover Highschool is an amazing school? Absolutely not, that's a lie and everyone should know that. Still, I'm not saying its the worst school either. It could be better.
Skyler Prebble: Im a student there and it sucks had me waiting out side when it was 17ºf for like an hour recommend mot coming to the school.
ThedarkAngel 090: They can listen to music that helps people work u know if I was principals I let them listen to music when they want
leah: Unprofessional homophobic rude cannot believe how some administrators act towards kids terrible school
Gilberto Diaz Castro: To you parent looking for a school I ask, don't mind the negative reviews by disgruntled student who didn't get away with being disrespectful or evil in school. My daughter graduates this year being No. 4 out of over 270 students graduating in 2017. I was able to mentor students, attend events, work with students doing their graduation projects and to interact with the teachers in many matters that came up with the projects. Having been involved with the Engineering Academy for the past four years I must say I'm pleased beyond thought. The teachers my daughter has had during her four years here have been excellent. The Academy Director, Mrs. J. dedicates her ALL her time and more to ensure the students have all the possible options available to them, from Job Shadowing, Mentoring by actual Electrical, Mechanical and Programming Engineers; that the Robotics Team has the finances needed to continue the competitions each year. The main teachers in that department, Mr. Barfield and Mrs. Barron, are by far some of the best teachers I've had to deal with. They are Engineers who have decided to teach the newer generations what they have learned in over fifty years of combined experience in the manufacturing field. In a nut shell, from the janitorial, to the front desk staff to the teaching staff I could not have had a better experience.I must agree, they do have some hard to deal with students but it is the lack of parenting skills that allow these young men and women to grow the way they are growing, not the lack of professionalism on behalf of the school system. I know that all the students who decided to study instead of hanging out at the have done great. I've met a young man who had a pending patent on a product he designed, this earned him a FULL Scholarship to NC Chapel Hill Univ. I've met a young lady who's professionalism helped her gather over $80k on scholarships before she graduated. I've seen children with extraordinary situations helped until they were able to overcome whatever was impeding their learning, I"m talking 100% involvement from the school staff to help solve the issues until the best interest of the student was met.I've seen my daughter go from a little girl to a grown, mature young lady any parent would love to have for a daughter, I'm glad God have her to me. Equal to her, many young ladies showed up and excelled in the Robotics team; wining several trophies through the years. They have a great go-get-it attitude that nothing can stop.
Nacirema Roberts: This school is not that bad boys are good looking and the kids in the school are Funny I don't know how you can hate this school
Sokhna Bousso: Academically, not good. Kids don't listen to the teachers, they be on their phone the whole class period, cheating all the time, teachers too be lazy( some of them). However, it's a really fun school, everybody's cool, nice, friendly... long story short, If you want a school where you can have fun and do less work, go here. But if you're a nerd and really take your studies serious, Then it is not for you.
Egypt Stovall: Loved this school dance class was the best class
Devon M: oh god that place

Douglas Byrd High School: what do users think?
Bri Stewart: This place sucks. Most of the admin are disrespectful and so are the kids.
Tony Jashes: Douglas Byrd is the worst high school in the county. The students leave stool on the bathroom floor, have burning trash cans. And some of the worst students ever. They hardly do anything for their students and worse they mess up while transferring students to other schools.
Mackenzie Banzhof: I have been at this school and have loved it here
Justin64: This School bad and I can go on and on but just go to a different school then this. I give it a 1/5
Chiru Gawa: This school has changed so much over the years and has gotten worse. Fights 24/7, arguments withAdministrators. I say get rid of the bad and it wouldn't be a bad school but no one does anything. It's like bullying students is permitted and looked over. Generations have changed and gets worse I don't blame anyone but the school administrators for overlooking others and turning a school to trash
woahdada2.0: I'm a student That attends here and I really enjoy it People say bad things about it but the school has turned around !
Glenn Garner: C/O 2015 !!! Eagle Pride 🦅
Chief Master: my son been in svhs now I move thr dbhs district I am very very upset svhs already know that I move I was not gonna tell but they found out by the mail I heard bad thing of this school ima do everything I can to leave my son at svhs
Jean Ahrens: I heard so many bad things about Douglas Byrd school and found it to be completely false the teachers truly worked with my son in a very low. Point in his school year. Thank you so much for all the work you did
April Butler: I heard so many bad things about this school, so I was very nervous moving my some from Grays Creek to Douglas Byrd. In Gray Creek("oneness of the best Schools in the district") my son was lazy, had horrible grades, and never wanted to get involved in school activities. At Byrd he is in all honors classes, has stright As and is now working out with classmates so he can play football in the spring!
Theresa Upton: My daughter goes to this school ad my youngest daughter will be going next yr. They both love this school ad the support staff especially props go out to the Ec department ad staff. They very welcoming ad open door with the parents. Goooooo Eagles!!!!
Aka. Isaiah: This skool is ass
James Farkas: So many people say bad things about this school, but my children loved it. Teachers are AWESOME!
nick b: In my opinion one of the worst high schools in north Carolina the teachers don't care about their students the students don't care about school and just don't go but the kids that do go fight and bully other students the lunch is horrible I ate it once and got food poisoning so don't even waste your time
Badtothebone 247: I have only had bad experience from this school the staff is very unpefetional seem like they don't won't the kids to suceed in life they work just to get a pay check if you won't your child to be all they can be please find a better school that won't them on the right track

Cape Fear High School: what do users think?
Lynn Pickett: I wouldn't send my daughter to any other school!
Aubree Wells: I was a student at this school after my first year my mother decided to move be me due to the violence and the many teachers who were disrespectful there are many teachers who only cared about their personal life and not the student. There is one teacher Mrs.Cooper- Walworth who truest care about her students
Do you hear that?: Mr. Spruill doesn't care about all his students. He's truly exceptional at feigning it though, he hosted over five pep rallies for the football team, but I've never seen him at any of the arts concerts... I guess he's TOO BUSY or something. The teachers either care about the sports or their personal problems, are not very nice and caring, and will personally come after you if they think what you say is ignorant or irrelevant. Don't expect any school to be better or more fun because this school is high-ranking and a "school of excellence". Homeschool your kid or join a sport. If you aren't careful, your child may come home disrespectful, fake, or just different. That school changes you for the worst.
Alexis Melvin: Cares only most about students who are involved with any sport or after school activity. Teachers genuinely care, but administration lacks.
vex zarkov: iv been a student here for 5 years...the staff iv learned covers over any ''issues'' or wrong doing that happens, just a week ago there was a fight with a tazer involved, don't trust staff or anyone that will say otherwise if your not a jock they don't care!
LeCarla Royal: Mr. Spruill is a very caring and involved principal. This past weekend he was at the away football game on Friday night, and on Saturday morning flew to Atlanta to be with the band at a Regional competition. He is an alum of Cape Fear and us very proud to be our principal! Our school consistently does well per test scores, and 5 out if the last 6 years has been ranked as one of the best high schools in the US by US News & World Reports. Our girls' softball team went to the state playoffs this past year, as did girls' golf. Soccer teams & baseball teams usually do very well, too. Our marching band is known up & down the East Coast, and our Winterguard is ranked #7 in the nation!! Get involved in the school and you'll know what's going on!!
Lili Vanity: Amazing! Best school in Cumberland county.
john gudmundson: School seems to favor athletics over academics (which is odd since the school sports teams aren't that good). While most of the teachers are good and are eager to assist students some teachers (in key positions unfortunately) appear to be there only to collect a paycheck. Trying to get info is an almost impossibility from the office staff because they usually have no idea and don't know where to find the info you request. The school sends out info about school functions usually at the last minute and very often students and parents miss out on events because they had no idea they were even happening. I have nothing good to say about the principle, he is never available to talk to you (I had 2 kids attend-both A/B students)-in 5 years I have had one phone call returned and not one response for a face to face meeting to discuss school issues. As a former teacher myself I have never meet a principal that appears so unwilling to meet with concerned parents..(and it wasn't to discuss bad things either!) The school isn't that large to keep someone that busy for four years....my kids and all (and I mean all) my friends kids who attend or have attended Cape Fear in the past 5 years have not enjoyed their time their or felt that the school properly prepared them for their future at college. Cape Fear could be a great school maybe the best in the county if it could get proper leadership- or at least a caring one.
Stephane Salnave: Only got a chance to see a portion of the exterior of the school, it seems well taking care of and that they get good financial support to keep it running nicely.

Fayetteville Academy: what do users think?
Amy Cee: We love this school! The class sizes are small and the teachers really know and help children reach their full potential.
Jackson Ferrell: This is an amazing school. I attended Fayetteville Academy for grades 9-12 after transferring from a public school. You will not find a better school in the area. This school has such a great tradition and method to create not only great students, but great people as well.
Tim Hinton: Covey goes there and she plays soccer
Mrs. Williams: Daughter loves it here so do I. School runs on excellence and respect. Keep up the great work!
Judy Howard: Hubby went here. Great school!
Timothy Ingram: College prep is different from public and religious schools, and until you experience the atmosphere you cannot gauge how better prepared for life the students will be when commencement ends.
Tara Van Geons: As a family, we know we have made the best decision to send our children to Fayetteville Academy. The faculty is amazing, and the opportunities they provide for my children are unmatched.

Jack Britt High School: what do users think?
Gerald Gibson: Sent 4 kids to this school and they loved it. JB is highly rated and one of top schools in Cumberland County. They place the students on a career path that leads them into college.
Randy Garcia: Friends & family talks about how great Jack Britt is. The people who works at the counselor office are not professional at all. They gossip around. Not helpful at all.
Pansophy Tiole: Jack Britt is most definitely the best school in Cumberland County. I've been to three different high schools for all three of my years so far, but the people and academics here are like the rest. This is not a school of choice if you are not an extremely promising student so don't get your hopes up on going here if you don't live in the district.
Madi Devericks: I am currently a student at jack Britt and I can say the academics are wonderful. Their focus however is so off when it comes to funding sports over arts and education. Some teachers are not there for your best interest. Problems go unsolved and bullying can be real. The academics are great though.
Jennifer Taylor: I graduated from Jack Britt in 2017 and the school itself is pretty okay. They'll help you when you need it but my senior year I noticed that a lot of the teachers and staff get an attitude for no reason. I stayed after school one time so my English teacher my senior year could critique my essay. Not only did she critique my essay but she also ended up critiquing my life, asking if my parents were forcing me to go to college and stuff like that (no they aren't). When I actually graduated high school and started the enrollment process into the university I want to go to, the university told me that they needed my final transcript to complete the enrollment process and to complete my financial aid. I called Jack Britt and the lady on the phone got such an attitude! I told her that my university is saying that they still don't have my final transcript and she says "Well I sent it out on June 22nd. I don't understand how they don't have it." I explained to her that they received a transcript, but that it wasn't my final one. The final transcript has to say "graduation date 6/9/2017" but the one Britt sent said "EXPECTED graduation date." She asked "did you call them?" I said that I emailed them and she responded back with "Well call them" and then she hung up. I stuck with emailing because calling really isn't going to make a difference in my opinion. About 2 weeks later, still no transcript in sight and I need my financial aid in order to pay my tuition which is due in about 1 week and a half. I go up to Jack Britt and the lady gets an attitude. "I sent it out on the 22nd. I sent it out the 22nd. All the transcripts got sent out on the 22nd. Come behind the desk, I have your transcript right here. You can look at it yourself." I looked at my transcript and it says "expected graduation date." I pointed it out and she said mine was the only one out of 500 graduates that still said that. She started printing off the correct transcript and asks "Do you want to mail it or do you want me to mail it?" I said that it doesn't matter, whichever way is more convenient. She yells "Well it's printing right now! I need an answer!" I said that she can mail it and she apologizes for the mix up and everything. A couple days later, still no transcript in sight. I'm tired of Britt messing around and not getting anything done. I'm not the only graduate who has had this problem either. I have until August 3rd to pay my tuition and I need my transcript in order to do so. It is currently July 21st. Because of Britt's "I don't care" attitude, I may not be able to go to my classes come August 21st. They don't care about their students at all. My university should've had my transcript by now unless Britt didn't send it out. I have mailed multiple things out to my university and they would receive it the next day so I don't understand why it's taking so long for my university to receive my transcript. So yeah, I wouldn't recommend Britt to anybody.
alexis burns: Looks very nice and seems like a great school heard some many good things about this school can't wait till next year
John MacMillan: Teachers genuinely care about their students success
Wanda Knafelc: As a parent of a child who goes to the school I am very disheartened by some of the services that are not provided to special education children. I have a big problem when you ask a teacher to do something as easily as making sure a student puts their homework in their planner because this is one of the challenging areas a student has and the answer I got was I have a hundred and fifty other students. Supposedly there's supposed to be an IEP teacher in the classes with my daughter so I don't understand what the issue is. Also they don't always follow the IEP. My daughter is supposed to be allowed an extra day if needed though I don't encourage it but her math teacher in 9th grade would not allow it. There for my daughter failed 9th grade math. If you are a student who excels in education then this school is for you but if you are a student who struggles with any area of Education parents beware because you will not get any assistance from any body including the principal or assistant. This school is very overrated. Before moving here, which by the way I did not move here due to military reasons, I did research and Jack Britt was one of the best schools in the area, or so I thought. Boy did I get egg in the face on that one. I just want to say that they are definitely not the best school in the area and unfortunately I don't know what school is. My suggestion is prior to move into an area make sure you do your research and read the comments, especially the low rated comments to see why people are not satisfied with a school.
Papi Quay: BORING
Matthew Huffman: Probably one of the top 2 high schools in Cumberland County.
Shelisa Hardy: Best school in Fayetteville
