Seventy-First High School: what do users think?
SF: I graduated in 2014. The school is alright. It’s not the best, but it’s not terrible either. There are some excellent teachers, who do care about their students and go above and beyond. There are also some bad teachers, who could go back to college and relearn a thing or two. There were a lot of fights that happened just about every day while I was there. There were also a lot of gang related shootings and fights during my four years there, the biggest one was during 2012. I went back after I graduated to be a proctor, and that was horrendous. The teacher I proctored for told his students how long they had to complete the test, and said that they could sleep the first half, if they wanted to, and he would wake them up at the half point so they could take their test. After the school finally announced that the EOC had ended, they started releasing students by halls to go to lunch. I rode with a former teacher to the school that morning, and after the testing was done, I attempted to walk back to her classroom because I was stuck there until the students got out for the day. Mr. Williams stopped me and told me to go into the lunch room because students could not roam the halls. I told him I was not a student and even showed him the visitors pass I was wearing on my chest. He kept arguing with me, stating that I had to go into the lunch room and could not roam the halls or I would be suspended. This may be why it is so hard to get proctors, and retain them!! If you are a recent graduate, or look young, I would not recommend proctoring.
Nic Knack: Has a important role in the Fayetteville community and a great school.
camay evans: I hate this school! The only good principals are the women. The men principals walk around trying to push the males over the edge. Mr. Williams is a black man who does not care about the young black males at his school. His job is to work hard to send the males to the alternative school. I can't believe he has held a job this long! If you can help it do not send your child to this school. The only reason I gave the school one star is they have a great math teacher Mrs. Lynch!!!She bends over backwards for her students. The best teacher ever!!!!
Silent assassin: The whole school overall is just terrible if you don’t believe me just read the other reviews it sums it all up
Momma Shelly: Every student is expected to automatically know all the rules and regulations without any written knowledge of it. They suppose to have psychic powers I guess. School is ran similar to prison minus the jumpsuits. In my opinion that prepares students for a smooth transition from school to prison.
Malachi Walton: Awesome
Mashelle Bradford: The band experience, the interest of the social workers, guidance counselors, and teachers have made a terrific experience for my son. He is now a senior bound for college.
Imani Cain: They 5 Day Policy Is Dumb , Cause What if An Emergency Comes Up And we need our phone i dont think they think about that . But anyways Mr.Parker And Mrs.Peoples Are The Best Ones In The Building To Me .
Desiree Garvin: They don't want to hear anything from you your always wrong and their always you try to utter a word suspension or iss they may describe it as a good school but do you know how many shootouts there are at that school and how many gang related fights there are the only thing I can say is good the boys and Mrs jocelyn simpliciano
Shauna Berry: It good
Dawon Hille: Being there was a great learning experience for me and meeting new people was great. Class of 2009!!!!!
Shawn L Moran: As a graduate of 71st, I can say that the instructors, administrators, and support staff did an excellent job in helping all the young people achieve greatness! I miss my school! Fly high falcons!
zach jonson: The principal, Myron Williams, and the administration at Seventy First High School will go out of their way and against their own policies just to inconvenience you and your child.
William Walker Jr: great school
Tyler Matthews: Awesome !

Cumberland International Early College High School: what do users think?
Susan Morcos: Terrible school with only few members of the staff that care for the best interest of the students. Waste of time. You're not going to get an associates degree. You'll graduate with unnecessary credits that you were forced to take. The environment is stressful for no reason. They're trying to "prepare" students for college, though you will never use the useless skills that they teach you. If you want a normal high school experience, do not come here. Also, the content that is being taught did not at all assist me in taking the SAT or the SAT subject tests (which could have jeopardized my chances in getting into a real, well reputed university, not Fayetteville State).
Olga navarro: Me encanta esa escuela mi hija esta muy feliz en ella

Douglas Byrd High School: what do users think?
Bri Stewart: This place sucks. Most of the admin are disrespectful and so are the kids.
Tony Jashes: Douglas Byrd is the worst high school in the county. The students leave stool on the bathroom floor, have burning trash cans. And some of the worst students ever. They hardly do anything for their students and worse they mess up while transferring students to other schools.
Mackenzie Banzhof: I have been at this school and have loved it here
Justin64: This School bad and I can go on and on but just go to a different school then this. I give it a 1/5
Chiru Gawa: This school has changed so much over the years and has gotten worse. Fights 24/7, arguments withAdministrators. I say get rid of the bad and it wouldn't be a bad school but no one does anything. It's like bullying students is permitted and looked over. Generations have changed and gets worse I don't blame anyone but the school administrators for overlooking others and turning a school to trash
woahdada2.0: I'm a student That attends here and I really enjoy it People say bad things about it but the school has turned around !
Glenn Garner: C/O 2015 !!! Eagle Pride 🦅
Chief Master: my son been in svhs now I move thr dbhs district I am very very upset svhs already know that I move I was not gonna tell but they found out by the mail I heard bad thing of this school ima do everything I can to leave my son at svhs
Jean Ahrens: I heard so many bad things about Douglas Byrd school and found it to be completely false the teachers truly worked with my son in a very low. Point in his school year. Thank you so much for all the work you did
April Butler: I heard so many bad things about this school, so I was very nervous moving my some from Grays Creek to Douglas Byrd. In Gray Creek("oneness of the best Schools in the district") my son was lazy, had horrible grades, and never wanted to get involved in school activities. At Byrd he is in all honors classes, has stright As and is now working out with classmates so he can play football in the spring!
Theresa Upton: My daughter goes to this school ad my youngest daughter will be going next yr. They both love this school ad the support staff especially props go out to the Ec department ad staff. They very welcoming ad open door with the parents. Goooooo Eagles!!!!
Aka. Isaiah: This skool is ass
James Farkas: So many people say bad things about this school, but my children loved it. Teachers are AWESOME!
nick b: In my opinion one of the worst high schools in north Carolina the teachers don't care about their students the students don't care about school and just don't go but the kids that do go fight and bully other students the lunch is horrible I ate it once and got food poisoning so don't even waste your time
Badtothebone 247: I have only had bad experience from this school the staff is very unpefetional seem like they don't won't the kids to suceed in life they work just to get a pay check if you won't your child to be all they can be please find a better school that won't them on the right track

Massey Hill Classical High School: what do users think?
Agnes Gamble: I loved going to this school. I made all of my best friends and broke out of my shell so well that I overcame my depression. I will say this, according to Texas vs. Johnson the teacher WAS allowed to do that. In fact, the state did something illegal when they allowed him to be fired for doing something he was legally allowed to do. It was a civics class. He was probably teaching through action about that very same law, a law that he is required to teach the students. He was doing his job, in one of the only ways they'd remember. You've been in class. You've slept through it. And here's my question, what punishment did the video taper get? They were in class, phones weren't allowed, and school rules trump personal rights.
SSC: Kids seem to get along very well. Glad they got rid of flag stomping Frances. The other teachers are great.
Jon: Honestly, I love this school and recent events should have nothing to do with the rating. Mr. Francis should not have done what he did but it was only one person. The real disgraces are the people who reviewed the school with a one star and commented something stupid like " their teachers step on flags" or "the others teachers should be disgraced for being a part of this school". This exactly why people blew this out of proportion, they wanted attention. Now they got it, and look at these no lives bombing the reviews just because of one person"s action. You are actually more of a disgrace than him, messing up the review of an excellent school just to say ignorant stuff. The sad thing is that many people overreacted causing the news to jump in, and now we have idiots like this in the review section, screwing it up, despite not knowing the environment of it, and probably don't even live in the same state. Tired of you no lives.
Taylor Johnson: As a graduate of this high school, I was and am still proud of the teachers who challenge their students to think for themselves. Wonderful school, and wonderful teachers.
JXtheNetwork: i dont think people should talk about the flag unless they know what actually happened just sayin
Renee Grayson (Renee): Recent events have nothing to do with the quality of education at this school. If people think that the US Constitution is only meant for certain Americans and not for all Americans, than may I suggest you read the US Constitution several times over and get back to me. Although that teacher went about it in unorthodox way, his actions and the results of his actions have been a perfect lesson for people to learn from. It has definitely shown who knows the US Constitution and who doesn't.
Carolyn Rose-Grayson: As a student of Massey Hill Classical, I will always support my school and its staff. At Massey Hill we believe in furthering our knowledge on various topics and issues. Please take the following into consideration.
sydney rose: I love my school. I'm still a student and there is encouragement everywhere. This school encourages you to be yourself and to express yourself. We are one big, happy family
Julia: Ridiculous
Jesse Lesueur: anti american
Leilani Whisenant: A Disgrace!
Barnes Brooks: If faculty at this institution are so obtuse as to believe that it is acceptable to disrespect the symbol that represents the values to which this Nation aspires then they should not be in charge of molding our childrens impressionable minds.
Joel Doutrich: I hope the rest of the staff is ashamed to be a part of this school. Disgusting
D. B.: Massey Hill Classical High School in Fayetteville, NC. The new history teacher there (Mr. Francis) asked students if they had a lighter (they said no, they aren't even allowed in school), then when there was no lighter he asked for scissors. When there were no scissors he took the flag and stomped all over it. He is saying this was teaching First Amendment rights. I called the Principal Dr. Adams and asked her why he couldn't have talked about it and not actually disrespect the flag like that and she completely stood up for him. Excuse me, THIS is part of their curriculum?!?! A few students left the classroom and one took the flag with them and asked that it properly taken care of. With the County getting so much funding for our military kids at this school, I ask the question of mutual respect, nothing less, nothing more. That flag might not mean anything to that teacher, but it means a lot to us and it means a lot to the family's who had their service member come home to them in a casket with that flagged draped over it. The principal told me I will not be allowed to know what happens with this teacher because my student was not in his classroom. I told her that she is in charge of her school, her teachers, and I should have the right to know what is going on in my child's school. I asked if she would be letting the superintendent in on this and she stated "No, this is an in house matter."Via Sarah Taylor

E. E. Smith High School: what do users think?
The Black Millenial Woman: I graduated in 2014 and I love this school lol I enjoyed coming here and I love that golden bull pride. Alumni is great and will continue to support this school!!!
Anne Bynoe: I haven't lived here long, had a chance to visit this school, and it to be an enlightening experience. I'm glad I had the chance to be there.
Aiad Alkablany: I neve been ther
Sara Gibson: I graduated from E.E. Smith in 1998. My son just graduated with the class of 2016. This is an excellent school that goes way above and beyond for their students. Mrs. Faircloth is an excellent teacher in the special needs department. She went to great lengths to make sure my son and his peers achieved greatness. My son who is autistic was crowned Prom King. That shows the love and compassion that the student body has for their peers. Melody Chalmers is a fantastic principal who deserves every accolade she can receive. I would give this school 10 stars if I could!!
Keariasmith Smith: Smith bruh... Anyone remember the fire from the science class? And all the fights that happen the too much joking around in class I love smith but I hate the lack of learning that's going on in the classrooms behind the sean
Gerhard Guevarra: EE Smith works very hard to educate each of their students. Many students are successful at EE Smith, don't let ratings and scores dictate if you think a school that is good for your child. Please visit the school and make that decision.
Mason Phillip Mendiola: horiable school has too many classes that are interrupted by immature students
JALEN BAKER: Class of 2015 proud to be A golden bull!!!!
Chris Felder: Awesome school....Mrs. Chalmers has changed my children's life in education. Thanks for all you do!

Jack Britt High School: what do users think?
Gerald Gibson: Sent 4 kids to this school and they loved it. JB is highly rated and one of top schools in Cumberland County. They place the students on a career path that leads them into college.
Randy Garcia: Friends & family talks about how great Jack Britt is. The people who works at the counselor office are not professional at all. They gossip around. Not helpful at all.
Pansophy Tiole: Jack Britt is most definitely the best school in Cumberland County. I've been to three different high schools for all three of my years so far, but the people and academics here are like the rest. This is not a school of choice if you are not an extremely promising student so don't get your hopes up on going here if you don't live in the district.
Madi Devericks: I am currently a student at jack Britt and I can say the academics are wonderful. Their focus however is so off when it comes to funding sports over arts and education. Some teachers are not there for your best interest. Problems go unsolved and bullying can be real. The academics are great though.
Jennifer Taylor: I graduated from Jack Britt in 2017 and the school itself is pretty okay. They'll help you when you need it but my senior year I noticed that a lot of the teachers and staff get an attitude for no reason. I stayed after school one time so my English teacher my senior year could critique my essay. Not only did she critique my essay but she also ended up critiquing my life, asking if my parents were forcing me to go to college and stuff like that (no they aren't). When I actually graduated high school and started the enrollment process into the university I want to go to, the university told me that they needed my final transcript to complete the enrollment process and to complete my financial aid. I called Jack Britt and the lady on the phone got such an attitude! I told her that my university is saying that they still don't have my final transcript and she says "Well I sent it out on June 22nd. I don't understand how they don't have it." I explained to her that they received a transcript, but that it wasn't my final one. The final transcript has to say "graduation date 6/9/2017" but the one Britt sent said "EXPECTED graduation date." She asked "did you call them?" I said that I emailed them and she responded back with "Well call them" and then she hung up. I stuck with emailing because calling really isn't going to make a difference in my opinion. About 2 weeks later, still no transcript in sight and I need my financial aid in order to pay my tuition which is due in about 1 week and a half. I go up to Jack Britt and the lady gets an attitude. "I sent it out on the 22nd. I sent it out the 22nd. All the transcripts got sent out on the 22nd. Come behind the desk, I have your transcript right here. You can look at it yourself." I looked at my transcript and it says "expected graduation date." I pointed it out and she said mine was the only one out of 500 graduates that still said that. She started printing off the correct transcript and asks "Do you want to mail it or do you want me to mail it?" I said that it doesn't matter, whichever way is more convenient. She yells "Well it's printing right now! I need an answer!" I said that she can mail it and she apologizes for the mix up and everything. A couple days later, still no transcript in sight. I'm tired of Britt messing around and not getting anything done. I'm not the only graduate who has had this problem either. I have until August 3rd to pay my tuition and I need my transcript in order to do so. It is currently July 21st. Because of Britt's "I don't care" attitude, I may not be able to go to my classes come August 21st. They don't care about their students at all. My university should've had my transcript by now unless Britt didn't send it out. I have mailed multiple things out to my university and they would receive it the next day so I don't understand why it's taking so long for my university to receive my transcript. So yeah, I wouldn't recommend Britt to anybody.
alexis burns: Looks very nice and seems like a great school heard some many good things about this school can't wait till next year
John MacMillan: Teachers genuinely care about their students success
Wanda Knafelc: As a parent of a child who goes to the school I am very disheartened by some of the services that are not provided to special education children. I have a big problem when you ask a teacher to do something as easily as making sure a student puts their homework in their planner because this is one of the challenging areas a student has and the answer I got was I have a hundred and fifty other students. Supposedly there's supposed to be an IEP teacher in the classes with my daughter so I don't understand what the issue is. Also they don't always follow the IEP. My daughter is supposed to be allowed an extra day if needed though I don't encourage it but her math teacher in 9th grade would not allow it. There for my daughter failed 9th grade math. If you are a student who excels in education then this school is for you but if you are a student who struggles with any area of Education parents beware because you will not get any assistance from any body including the principal or assistant. This school is very overrated. Before moving here, which by the way I did not move here due to military reasons, I did research and Jack Britt was one of the best schools in the area, or so I thought. Boy did I get egg in the face on that one. I just want to say that they are definitely not the best school in the area and unfortunately I don't know what school is. My suggestion is prior to move into an area make sure you do your research and read the comments, especially the low rated comments to see why people are not satisfied with a school.
Papi Quay: BORING
Matthew Huffman: Probably one of the top 2 high schools in Cumberland County.
Shelisa Hardy: Best school in Fayetteville
