V Bri: This pool is no fun. Can’t bring floats for babies to sit in so you would have to carry your toddler around. I feel like you can’t do the basic things you would be able to do at any other pool. They took alot of seating away and there is only one area for shade so you better get there quick or bring your own equipment. If lake rim pool was not at capacity I would never have came to Westover pool. Let’s not get started on their overpriced menu for snacks.

Malak Bouzidi: I loved this place , the pools were big and suitable for children and adults , lifeguards doing their job well and they are very quick when doing things and they keep their eyes on people in the pool well , and the prices to go inside were AMAZING I would usually have to pay $40 for my kids to go swim but at west-over it was only $20 so if your broke I definitely recommend this place to take your children at or for you to relax , and sometimes the children’s pool can be very crowded but the Big pool for adults has not many people :) I rate this place an overal 5/5

Dawn Fordham: Lovely Miss Betty runs the snack bar at Westover Pool. For the last 3 or more years, she has been the most consistently kind and patient person I've ever met. You can imagine the tolerance needed every day as dozens of little kids decide which popsicle, ice cream, chips or candy they want. Miss Betty meets each one with her beautiful smile, sweet words and happy spirit. She's a precious role model for me. I'm a grandma and frequently take my grandchildren to the pool. I hope we can see her again before the pool closes for the season on Labor Day. Thank you for everything Miss Betty! 3

Lori Hutchison: Such a surprise that this facility is so close. Excellent work out room with good equipment. It is not small! And there's a gym adjacent to the fitness facility. Wish there was a different sign or more noticable features. It's built in with the middle school. Check out the fitness classes held on weekday nights and Saturday mornings.

diva lesha: I took my kids last summer for the first time and we all gotten sick. There is a tire to swing on and under the tire is some foam done and deteriorating in the pool. That is possibly what we got sick from. Kids accidentally get the water in their mouth and that is very unsanitary
Elayna Bartell: Had a very good time here it cost $1 for kids $2 for adults which is the standard rate. They had kiddy area that I wished had a little bigger slide. Very clean. Not to busy at all. The only thing that irritates me is if my son has on a life jacket he should be allowed to go down the big kids slide. It's not just at that pool but every public pool. He wants to but he just isn't 45 inches yet. Overall great place and they even have a park which was nice after swimming.

Michel Santana: An affordable and fun activity to do with the kids to cool off. The first 45 mins of the hour you can swim and enjoy the pool and the last 15 mins they make everyone get out to clean. They have a little concession stand and it takes card. They have extra chairs next to the woman’s bathroom that you’re allowed to get in case you want to sit down and relax. ☺️
Nicholas Gullett: A very affordable public pool with a pair of dedicated lap lanes in the main pool, and a waterslide! Also there is a large splash pad area with water features for playing with the younger ones.

Ginger Blossom: As i was in my car with the seat back, I heard alot of chaos outside. People cursing and using foul language. As i sit up I hear a man using obscene language and blaming grown adults for not intervening with the situation. I was shocked to hear a grown man talking like that in front of children. Using the f word and other obscenities! I found out that he was the director! As a consumer I felt very unsafe and disrespected, and I will make sure that I am always caucious when entering this facility. It was very kind of the female staff member to apologize on behalf of the situation, but I have never experienced anything like this at an establishment, especially where it is supposed to be a safe place for children.

Charles Cook: They double the deposit, the rent and want 15% of the front door to hold an event there simply because I am a for profit company. That bit of info is not included on the hand out they give you. It was not revealed until I went to actually rent it. They also tried to give me a hard time about not being a Fayetteville resident when it clearly says on the hand out that you only have to be a Cumberland County resident. I'm not really sure at this point if they even know how and what it takes to rent it. So they instead didn't want $1050 in rent and deposits plus 15% of the door., they chose to double everything instead and get nothing. A tax paid/supported recreation center that most people typically complain every year about not getting enough money to run the activities....and this is how they handle incoming revenue, just throw it away and try and to double his fees. They must be waiting in line to rent this place if they throw money away like this.

When I asked them to check the video footage of the security camera, they were very vague and simply said, “it’s not there. The footage stops when the crime happened.”That tells me someone working there is crooked. Don’t know if I’ll ever come back to this location.

crystal Bayard: I have read these reviews and honestly think that they are jaded. Yes, there are rules, like anywhere, but many of these reviews are being left by parents who allow their children to disrupt other paying members from their activities. I have personally been in the midst of completing my laps in the pool and parents have allowed their children to be in and out of my lane even though the other lanes were empty and then the parents get mad at the lifeguards for saying that wont be tolerated. I admit that the facility is in need of a good makeover, especially the locker rooms and showers, but I have always found the staff to be polite, helpful, and organized.

dante Bryant: SMALLEST YMCA I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE . I sighned up so I could go play basket ball . The gym was reserved almost the whole time I was there for elementary school kids so I couldn’t play basket at all maybe this Y SHOULD BE RESERVED FOR THE KIDS BECAUSE IT VERY SMALL . THEY HAVE ONE ROOM TO WORK OUT IN THATS IT ALL MACHINES ARE CRAMMED INTO ONE ROOM . NOT GOING BACK TO THIS ONE EVER .
Alia Haskell: I signed my daughter up for swim lessons back in August and paid $82 for 8 sessions. The swim lessons started in September and after the first lesson, me and my daughter tested positive for COVID so Audra Williams told me they were canceling the 8 sessions and told me that she would call me about rescheduling. I never received a call back and called in November (since the class was suppose to go thru the end of October) and was told there was no open spots and there were no classes available in December so I put in a request for a refund for the sessions. I have called every day this week trying to get ahold of Audra about my refund and she has not emailed or called me back and every time I call they tell me they are going to email her and they can't do anything else. Every time I call she has either just left the office or at a different location or in swim lessons, and so I'll call back and "I've just missed her". Its ridiculous.

Sunnie Dunn: If I could give this YMCA negative stars I would! This branch is one of the worst managed and unethical organizations I have ever worked with! We became members to take advantage of their advertised swim lessons, but at every turn received misinformation, poor communication and horrible customer service, all while being charged monthly for a service they never provided - turns out we were the ones being taken advantage of! After waiting seven months we NEVER actually received what we paid for!!! They had absolutely no problem charging a military family a full membership fee while continuing to promise a service they were never equip to offer. Now they refuse to refund our money, while claiming to be a Christian faith based organization. We're now pursuing legal actions. Make sure you don't get taken advantage of by this highly unethical branch!!!
