Christianna Ashley: The providers are inconsistent. High turnover. They cancel your appointments the day before or the day of because providers are no longer working there or not going to be in the office and don't have any way to fit you in for another 2 months, keep in mind that it took 2 months for this appointment that they canceled. This has happened with both the therapy and medication management side multiple times. Typical Cape Fear.... look elsewhere

Melinda DeGeorge: I had a truly horrendous and disheartening experience here after giving birth. The Dr. I was seeing actually told me she wouldn't continue seeing me if I didn't stop googling my symptoms. When I requested to switch providers, the lead MSA was awful (literally the worst I have ever dealt with). I couldn't get in with the new provider that I asked for for a couple months so I reached out to my primary care Dr. for help in the meantime and I was told by this lead MSA that I went behind my Dr.'s back. I began crying on the phone and she told me "you got your [name of medicine I was taking] ...you're good". Yes, she really did say that. My husband was so upset he went to speak to her boss in person. She actually lied and said I lashed out at her on the phone and cursed at her (which I absolutely did not)and was trying to have me discharged as a patient. When we asked her supervisor to listen to the recorded conversation to prove that she was inappropriate and unprofessional on the phone, they said they don't record any of the calls. I escalated the issue to patient affairs. If you have a similar experience, you have every right to share your experiences and concerns and report misconduct and unprofessionalism. It is your right as a patient. I know it may seem like nothing is being done when you submit a grievance or complaint... but if people continue to come forward with the issues they are having with the staff and care (or lack thereof) provided, the true issues will come to light and hopefully encourage appropriate and disciplinary action to be taken. I have since found a different mental health provider to see in town and she and her staff are amazing and kind. It's been such a relief after the nightmare experience I had here.After reading the other reviews here, I am saddened to see that others have had similar experiences to me. Something has to change. It's crucial to stop hiring people who lack the professional conduct and capability to work in a mental health facility because mental health is not a joke and it's not something to be taken lightly.

Dj Fosster: When I first started going to CMH everything was great! Over the years things have changed. The receptionist's are rude, the doctor's do not care and the MOA's act as if they hate their jobs. The whole place needs an overhaul. There is one pharmacist that is rude and needs to leave too. I recommend finding somewhere else to go and please don't leave me a message asking me to call and talk to anyone for they won't listen either.

TIERAH TEASLEY: they cause my first real mental breakdown. They turned me away because I was there at 2:08 my appt was at 2:00 . Today it was raining so bad I drove from spring lake and was caught in two wrecks was calling them 45 mins to appt to let them know called 3 times . Got there and they rescheduled already marked me a no show before even giving me a chance I waited on this appt for 2 months the day I really needed them and was so excited to talk to someone about my life they turned me away ! I hate it I was literally begging and crying to speak to someone l I was balling crying and she just stared at me with a blank face as if she could give any care and she was a supervisor! Who turns away someone willing to get help when it’s already a burden for me to admit I actually need it

D White: She couldn't even get my prescriptions right even after I showed her the empty bottles even after I saw her for the second time. The place it's self looks like it came out of some Sify horror movie. What a place looks horrible very depressing indeed. I am hoping to find and looking to go somewhere any where else that not here.

Mariah Briand: If I could give this place 0 stars I totally would. Do not go here. They do not care for there patients. They do not care for anyone really. If you do end up going here do not get Jasmine Taylor she is a terrible therapist. I had her for 2 years and we never went over anything in those 2 years to help my mental illnesses and she dropped me and kicked me out of the clinic right after I said she was a bad therapist and I wanted to transfer. Customer service rep is horrible as well. She is a liar and stated she has never spoken to be before and that I've never filed complaints about previous therapists before, which is a lie because I have had issues with a previous therapist names Christina (in this office as well).They are aware of the lack of care they provide and one day someone is going to die as a result and they will be responsible. So as a PSA anyone suffering from mental illnesses please do not go here. They do not care for there patients and you are putting yourself in danger by going here. Stay safe and go somewhere else!

B Cutie: Went in seeking help because of a breakdown. I left feeling even more suicidal than before. They treated me like a burden. Especially Liz Monge.

Kali Cain: We saw Dr Jadapelle for my 7 year old son for ADHD. The clinic very rarely ever answers their phone, and after several phone messages for Dr Jadapelle, she still has yet to return my call after 3 weeks. Maybe many of her patients do not have many choices in providers? I don’t know how any doctor can completely ignore a patient for weeks on end. Needless to say, we will never be going back to Dr Jadapelle or Cummunith Health.

Tracy Britt: This place is by far a joke. They constantly get appointments mixed up, never answer the phone, make patients feel beneath them and blatantly lie about patients to cover their own screw ups. I have contacted the state concerning the practices this office does.

This was for my psychiatrist...you would think that they would care more. One of my Bestfriends just passed away and you would think that they would care more but they do not. Honestly I will be looking for a new doctor.

Chelsee pennington-jones: I went her a few times and they helped me a lot even though I was pretty bad off the last time I went there. My therapist, Janett worked really hard trying to find me a placement for longer term care, and even though the place that I was sent to wasn't the best place, I'm still thankful for BHC. Most of the staff seem to care, and my favorite MHT was, Janett from night shift because she was one of the main ones who tried to help me.

Tracy Welch: Made an appointment months in advanced, when my son and I arrived for our appointment we were told the nurse was on vacation!Upon calling to reschedule, there was no one there answer the call, only an automated machine to leave a message...frustrating is not the word I’d used to describe this situation.

I didn't feel like my child's best interest was at heart we were just $$ to them. From my experience in this town of Fayetteville its just best to drive up north to Raleigh to get good doctors or care.

Serina Barbour: From the beginning I was not involved with any of the appointments because I was never told about them and I was not even on the consent form, and I am the mother. I never wanted my kid on medicine in the first place but his dad and then girlfriend went behind my back after I said no and to me they should have an agreement from BOTH parents. Next thing, to get any information as far as a letter or note , impossible . I don't know if its because Lelsie herself is too busy or whatever .

Justice Anderson: This has been such an awful experience for my family.My son has been suffering with some issues for months. After getting seen they suspected anxiety disorder ( even though autism is something mentioned by his doctors and occupational therapist)The therapist has completely ignored me to make appointments, she just all of a sudden stopped seeing my son. When he needed help the most in his life, she left him to fend for himself. He’s on multiple waiting list now to find someone to help him after she did this.I’m in a custody battle with an abusive father and they have refused to send over his records to my lawyer for our court hearing. Even after the father admitted everything to my sons therapist, she still thought he deserved unsupervised time. Despite everything, including my son having to be picked up so many times from school out of fear of seeing his dad. Thanks for making my sons life that much harder by you not doing your job.

Molly Patterson: Got a virtual appointment so quickly and was able to see Dr. Cole, who is absolutely amazing! She helped me so much and I’m so glad I’m in her capable hands!

John Smith: The only reason this is not one star is because I haven't even been seen there yet. Perhaps part of the problem is the military, but certainly not all of it. I have been referred to this clinic since the beginning of February and have been pushing for these appointments fairly hard. Eventually I was scheduled for an initial interview at very end of April on the 27. BUT, due to my "provider over booking" it was pushed yet another month to May 22. An almost four month wait for a mental health clinic is absolutely unacceptable. Perhaps, just maybe, if someone is seeking your services, they might really need it. My advice, if the military refers you here, don't take it based on the hassle alone. Stay at on base providers.NOTE: Again, I have not yet been seen by best day. I can only speak on my process to even have an initial interview.

H. Cline (Killian): Absolutely amazing therapist but horrible scheduling. I’ve been going here for over a year and I get maybe an appointment once a month if I’m lucky, I’m going there for SUICIDAL IDEATION! Seriously this is insane! I’m doing better now since I started meds but do they not realize how absolutely dangerous this is?!? I reallyyyy don’t want to change clinics cause of how absolutely wonderful my therapist is but at this point I might just have to.

Deborah Nixon: Have seen Dr. Matlack for 10+ years. He’s a cut-and-dry kind of provider which is refreshing in this day of healthcare. Their receptionist, Abby, is an awesome asset to their practice. Very helpful; empathetic.

Charles Reed: On Monday had an appointment. At the front entrance was a lot of trash, a cardboard box with clothes and a hamburger patty. After waiting for 15 minutes finally was put into a room. There literally was trash all over the floor. The overhead lights were burned out. Papers with files of clients were on the desk. It was a mess. The ladies at the front desk did not care at all.

Amy Cee: I would not recommend this place at all. 1st appointment, we showed up, completed all paperwork. Three people worked behind the front desk and seemed like it was their first day. After waiting 30 minutes, they informed us the provider wasn’t even going to come to work and I would have to reschedule. The rescheduled us and we came back for another provider. Experience was okay at the actual appointment. But afterwards trying to call back and find out when the follow up would be was a nightmare. Never received a date or confirmation call… but definitely received the missed appointment bill. By that time we had already switched to a new provider. Based on the administration, I would never recommend this place.

Alan Hill jr: Constantly having to update my phone number and email address every single time I have an appointment, they are so rude about it like it is my fault they can't save my correct information when I have to correct them every appointment. Good luck trying to get in touch with anyone if you need to reschedule an appointment or have questions about medication my rating mainly goes for just customer service and reception not necessarily the psychiatrists.

addison burgess: the doctors are amazing, love my therapist so much!! the office staff however ruin the “experience” 100%!! i called last week to pay for my appointment and scheduled my next one and one my next appointment day (today) i was on hold for 2 hours and when i finally spoke to someone i was told i didn’t have an appointment. i asked when his next available appointment was and i was told A MONTH FROM NOW. the office staff have no clue what they’re doing and can never seem to get it together. you’re supposed to be a mental health facility, yet y’all are out here playing with your patients mental health.

Megan Peterson: The low rating on this is completely valid. I've had great experiences with the doctors, but the office staff are absolutely awful. I've had numerous issues with them over the years, but today was the last straw. Two weeks ago, I left a message on the prescription refill line telling them I was out of medicine and asked for them to reach back out to me or fill my prescription. They completely ignored me. Not a call, nothing. I had an appointment scheduled for today so I decided to just wait. They called me at 9:00 a.m. the day of my appointment and told me they had to reschedule my appointment because my doctor was sick. I told them that was fine, but I was out of medicine and I needed my prescription filled and they said they would do it. Because of the issues I've had with them, I went to the office at 12:30 p.m. and told them again - I've been out of medicine. I need it filled. They once again told me they would get to it. I call them back at 4:30pm to let them know my pharmacy still didn't have the prescription, and that's when they told me I'm out of luck. They can't do anything. This on top of me contacting them weeks ago telling them I was out of medicine and then completely ignoring me.

I started out as number 5 am now number two in q . This is how long it takes to talk to three people on the phone ,still holding.

Jennifer Honeycutt: Dr. Matlack is one of the most professional psychiatrists I have ever encountered. Especially when it comes to dealing with children. Not only is he very professional but he is very kind, courteous & I can tell that he truly does care.

Sharon Land: Everyone has their own expectations when it comes to psychiatric care. My son was one of Dr. Matlack’s first patients when he opened his practice in Fayetteville years ago. He was so patient in diagnosing him, and to this day I’ll always remember the kindness and care he gave my son during that stressful time. When I needed care years later I immediately went to Dr. Matlack and once again he was supportive and caring towards me as well. I now see Dr. Patterson in the same office and he too is absolutely amazing. I recommend this clinic 100%.

Because they couldn’t send the link. Possibly the worst psychiatry place I’ve ever heard of. Do not even try coming here.

I would rather suffer. I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism and lack of empathy???? Unbelievable I paid for help, my meds didn't come for three days after my first appointment. Would not recommend to anyone who wants reliable help from people who care. This review is probably worse than the first one, scolding patients for asking for help? No. Not okay. The doctor didn't even let me voice my concerns about my sickness, instead she just assumed what I was going through instead of asking. Casey Scott: As a healthcare provider myself and also a parent, I can appreciate the time that Dr. Lennon spends with her clients in order to make sure they are receiving the care they need. My daughter has always been encouraged to voice her concerns and take part in her care and made to feel that her opinion was valued. As a parent, that was an important part of her treatment plan. Thank you Dr. Lennon for all your hard work.

Alicia Cotelle: If I could give them no stars I would. DO NOT GO TO THIS DR!! I have been waiting since December to get my BP meds. Always put on hold or they are working on it. The Dr never carries a chart has to keep running back and forth to his office to "look something up" I went in for an emergency visit my blood pressure was 140/122. They told me to come in immediately I wasn't seen for 3 HOURS!! Then was handed a paper and told to keep a log. I come back in two weeks and they give me samples. When I came back he wrote a rx that my pharmacy could not fill unless there was authorization....that was in November and here it is March no meds, no call, bad Dr.!! I have never had to pay a Dr a co pay to talk to me about results of a test. I sat there for an hour and a half for him to talk to me for 5 mins and charge me a co pay.
