New Life Christian Academy: what do users think?
Victoria Shabazz: I was baptized at this church in 1997 i believe that was the year. I had a chance to go to both the school and attend church services. I loved the experience of both and am fond of the few memories I have of the place they are dear to me.
Andrea Bradley: All 6 of my nieces and nephews go to this school. They do everything they can to help your child.
Mariah Higgins: Good daycare and elementary school and has a good sports organization a lot of good mentors
Stace Kollz: I really love this school! My daughter attended the public school but I felt like it did nothing for her. Her teacher Mrs. Smith is awesome and her classmates are friendly. Ms. Thompson in the office was professional, warm and welcoming. The Principal was very transparent and from the moment I stepped foot on the school grounds to the moment I left, I felt at home and decided that my daughter will be attending. Thanks NLCA for all you do!
DMS DEV: The school was terrible the teachers don’t do their job and they don’t grade your work and they do whatever they can to try and fail you if you’re not the most attendant student in the classIf your child is not a straight A student (do not bring them here)!!!!!!!!!!!!!
L Jade: Pre-K program is excellent!!!
Jasmine Smith: I really love New Life Christian Academy and all of the opportunities it has to offer!"My children ... have made leaps and bounds academically, and socially. They are always safe, appreciated by their teachers and peers, and feels that all of the students are treated equally! "
Patricia Riddick: I'm looking for a bible based non denominational church in Fayettville NC
Sheniada Johnson: I believe in a spirit of Excellence as I believe God does as well . I therefore believe that's what we should strive for in all that we do in the name of Christ. I did not get that at this CHRISTIAN ACADEMY.
Allannah Dancer: Good school
Kimberly Edwards: Greatest church to worship at.
Asmar Fox: Great School!

Fayetteville Academy: what do users think?
Amy Cee: We love this school! The class sizes are small and the teachers really know and help children reach their full potential.
Jackson Ferrell: This is an amazing school. I attended Fayetteville Academy for grades 9-12 after transferring from a public school. You will not find a better school in the area. This school has such a great tradition and method to create not only great students, but great people as well.
Tim Hinton: Covey goes there and she plays soccer
Mrs. Williams: Daughter loves it here so do I. School runs on excellence and respect. Keep up the great work!
Judy Howard: Hubby went here. Great school!
Timothy Ingram: College prep is different from public and religious schools, and until you experience the atmosphere you cannot gauge how better prepared for life the students will be when commencement ends.
Tara Van Geons: As a family, we know we have made the best decision to send our children to Fayetteville Academy. The faculty is amazing, and the opportunities they provide for my children are unmatched.

Berean Baptist Academy: what do users think?
Michaela McDuffie: *This is coming from a former student of Berean Baptist Academy*If I could give this school zero stars I would. I was a student here2020-2021 school year in 5th, worst year of my life. One of the teachers, whose name I’m not going to mention, was the worst teacher I’ve ever had in my entire life. She was CRAZY. She would scream/shout, and make a big deal out of every single thing. I would come home from school crying everyday because Something was so terrible. Not to mention the racism but we are not going to get into that. My grades were very bad (I before I came to BBA I was an all A student.) , because I was so stressed out by school. I absolutely hated school. I know go to a public school where I am much happier, my grades have gone up drastically, and I love school. If I were a parent I would not send my child here.
Bryce Younts: graduation was too long
Moriah: I had a wonderful time here I really enjoyed the great food the education and the teachers and students.I sooooo recommend
tek9niq !: This schoo is highly rated its church is great and their service is satisfying
Bryan Richardson: We enrolled our son and daughter here after a failed attempt at another private school. We were a little worried about their starting mid-school year. The staff was very gracious and helpful; the teachers are truly amazing and gifted from God. Our kids love the facilities, their classrooms and their classes. The emphasis placed on learning the Word of God and following Him is absolutely wonderful.
Taylor Smith: Send our daughter here. New facilities are wonderful. We originally started with pre-k and ended up attending the wed awana program, and weekly services. It’s a small private school and you’ll get the best for what the school can offer. Small class sizes and a good staff help. Now we’ve only gone from pre-k-3 to 1st grade this year, however, my daughter is above public school peers in regards to educational progress in almost every facet.
Laurencia JoJo: The past four years has been a joy. My heart has always been filled with joy when I dropped my boys off to school. Thank you for helping raise respectful, God fearing young men. This was the hardest part of moving from Fort Bragg, NC. All the glory goes to God. Thank you Mr/Mrs. Whiting, Ms. Deary, Ms. Adams, Ms. Nelly and the staff for your dedication to my little ones. Thank you BBA.😍
Priscilla Smith: Love the school! Great education program with a personal atmosphere!
Leah Sturm: I go there! the volleyball team won championships
Rich King: I would never send a child here.

First Impressions Academy: what do users think?
Rebecca Alam: My husband and I are both public school teachers, with 17 and 20 years experience respectively. After all we have seen and experienced, there was a long list of musts when considering private school for our children. First Impressions Academy checks every box and has exceeded our expectations. This will be our 6th year at FIA and every year we are blown away. The school provides a tight-knit, family feel. Small class sizes ensure that students' individual needs are met and all children get the attention they deserve. The staff is filled with quality, degreed and credentialed teachers who know the content and effective strategies for instruction. It is apparent that the staff loves and cares for the children. The leadership has been amazing since my first encounter, including calming my anxiety about my little one going to preschool. They have an open door policy and I've always felt comfortable talking to them. I am so glad we found FIA six years ago. It truly has been the best experience for our children! I know that no matter where the future may take us, my children have a strong foundation because of First Impressions Academy.
dennis kinlaw: Absolutely the worst place for developing your child socially and academically. My grandchild attended First Impression grades 1 through 4 before we pulled him out. Unqualified teachers, bad attitudes, teaching skills and curriculum are not suitable for your child’s growth and development. Better off in public schools or Christian school where staff and methods are more normal. Owner of school doesn’t take criticism constructively, instead she defends her staff right or wrong. 4 years at this school nearly ruined our GC. After home schooling, and enrolling our GC in a more appropriate atmosphere at a local Christian school, our GC is back to normal and enjoying life and school. Stay away from this school.
Troy: Wonderful school
Kirstyn Martin: Our kids have learned so much since being at FIA. The level of education they recieve there is outstanding and above other schools in the area. We love the small class sizes and personal feel! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and truly care about each student.
Anyeliz Perez: I am a proud parent to a wonderful student at this school and I couldn’t be happier. The staff is amazing and the environment for my daughter is welcoming. My daughter loves going to school and absolutely loves the STEM program. She loves that she can do actual experiments in science almost daily. I have read other reviews and I noticed one said that they make you sign a contract stating not to share bad reviews, THIS IS FALSE!!! They have a standard contract for payment, school uniform policy, attendance and discipline. If your looking for a school for your child to excel and learn, then this is the place for you. If you are the type of parent that has issues with having your children miss school then this school is not for you! They follow the state attendance policy and there are to many parents that get angry when their kids get more than 10 unexcused and the school has to legally take action. The school uniforms are Mandatory and have to be purchased from a specific company. This school is about having a structured school setting. This school is not for you if your not devoted to your child’s education and not planning to abide school policy. This school is for devoted parents dedicated to wanting the best education possible and being responsible enough to take their kids to school like they are supposed to.
Katie Terry: Best place for our children. Highly recommend!
Jennifer Quinones: First Impression Academy doesn't feel like a school, it feels like a family. My 6th grader is thriving in middle school the STEM program is one you will not find anywhere in this town or surrounding cities. The hands-on projects, real-world experiences, and level of academics is second-to-none. We completed in regional Science Olympiad and our small school is going to state. I can't count the number of times we were asked; "What school are you guys from!"The children are so close and have created a culture amongst themselves of support, encouragement, love, and respect. Our kids are different, and everyone who encounters them can see it. FIA is committed to character building, self-reliance, respect, and accountability. I trust my teachers; I trust our staff, they will leave no stone unturned. I know my child is important to them and when in school I know, she is in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. First Impressions Academy is truly Fayetteville's little GEM; we are so blessed to be here.
honest review: Very dishonest about the quality of education offered as well as the favoritism.
Kim Nagowski: We have been a FIA family for 4 years. As an educator I know the importance of meeting the needs of all children and that is an area that FIA excels in. If your child needs to be challenged they are and if your child needs extra help, they provide it. The teachers are able to teach the students using creativity since they are not just teaching to a test. The students do take standardized tests from grade 3 on and do well above average because of good teaching at the level of the students. The class sizes are very small, usually 10-12. These small classes allow for the individualized instruction when needed. My daughter loves FIA and even asks to be taken back after appointments. It's now summer and she misses her friends and school. We are excited about the new middle school with a STEM focus (Science Technology Engineering and Math)!
Peter Robinson: The staff at First Impressions Academy is really great with communication. They are always available, attentive, and responsive whenever we have questions about our kids or their progress in school. I recommend FIA highly to our friends and family.
Julianne Ottersbach: This school is phenomenal. We moved here from the public school system and DODea schools, and have never looked back. The class sizes allow for hands on teaching. The intimacy of the environment makes for endless support among the kids--they really build each other up and encourage one another. My children have found a second home at FIA where they have grown into comfortable and confident students. I could not recommend it enough. Five stars is too few.
Mike Reiley: I love their small class sizes and hands on style. Teachers are every caring, comfortable and create a good learning environment.
Christina Holly: Two of my children attend the First Impressions Academy and it is great. The schools academic curriculum is thorough and excellent.
Kali Cain: My two boys are at FIA and they LOVE it! Best curriculum and teachers I have seen. The small family atmosphere is wonderful and my children are so excited to go to school everyday. So happy we found FIA!!!
T Gaskins: for the full review please see YELP the emails are found there.I am including the email exchange with this review. This email exchange is what prompted me to even write the review. The tone, the dismissiveness, the lack of professionalism, the fact that a spot mysteriously opens up once I complain and ask for a refund is all suspect. I want people to see for themselves the kind of administration that runs this school BEFORE you think of enrolling your child. Here's the thing no matter what I feel or complain about the administration should remain professional. The owner would have you believe this is about my child not getting a spot, but this is about a lack of professionalism. After scrambling and by the grace of God, we were able to enroll my daughter full time at another private school. The administration would have you think that this review is being posted from a place of maliciousness and truly it's not. It's not even about the refund. I asked for one they declined and that for me could have and would have been the end of it. However when I shared my disappointment with the process and the owner took it upon herself to dangle a spot that magically opened up (AFTER MY COMPLAINT) in front of me and then inferred that my child doesn't belong at her school BECAUSE she felt some type of way about my email and complaints...this is why I'm posting this review. It's beyond unprofessional, in fact it's down right insulting. We never got the chance to become a part of this school and honestly after this fiasco its for the best. I can only imagine how our concerns would have been addressed.Last let me add there are two people you will interact with Christy Pettit and Teresa Clayton, they make up the administration. You can just see by the email exchange who is professional and who isn't. In retrospect I even recall mentioning to my husband how cold the owner Christy Pettit was when we were introduced during our tour, but I chalked it up to possibly her having a bad day. The emails with her responding lets me know this is who she is. I understand this is their school and they are protective of it BUT there is also a need for professionalism. Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend anyone dealing with this school. I was highly impressed upon first glance but knowing the kind of people who are in the administration office and how they operate...wouldn't recommend.

Saint Patrick Catholic School: what do users think?
Brayden Shay: what a school....i adore it
Daniel Erickson: Terrific school. My daughter attends this school and is always challenged and enjoys learning the material. The faculty is always available and friendly and her teacher always got back to me within 12 hours. I recommend this school to anyone looking for an alternative to the public school system.
Joshua Klickman: Great School! My daughters have attended since pre-K, now they are in 2nd and 4th and they are doing great! The school is a very safe environment, certainly bully-free as any Catholic school should be, and the teachers really foster an environment of learning, caring, and growing. They encourage children to perform at their highest potential, and I am very happy with the strong emphasis on faith formation. Finally, I am also happy to learn that many non-Catholic Christians and even non-Christian families attend this school for the high standards and safe environment. You can tell that I recommend this school to anyone, and if you are going to attend I recommend moving close by. Briarwood/Claireway is a safe and fantastic neighborhood, and Glendale is a safe, great place to live as well.
Leonnie Chisolm: I go there the school is awesome
Don Matheson: This is a great school. I went to Saint Patrick School. My family went to Saint Patrick School, my cousins and my friends went there as well. You can't find a better school in the area. It has a 75 year tradition. They focus on learning along with instilling principles that make good students great citizens.

Freedom Christian Academy: what do users think?
Skaspo: Beautiful school
Lamont Rivera: love it
Saundra England: My granddaughter and grandson attend here. We love Freedom. Praying God’sblessing upon them.
Jill Young: The air quality at Freedom is horrible. The building is full of mold. My children are still recovering from breathing it in. The building has leaked for 10 years and has not been properly mitigated. Mold in water damaged buildings is toxic and can make you very sick. Also this building was a textile plant (black and decker) for many years so who knows the forever chemicals that are still present in this building. Hazardous and dangerous to your health. Don’t put your kid here.
Erin Brown: My children started attending Freedom from its very 1st year of opening behind Destiny Now Church I think 2009. I currently have a Senior in high school and a 7th grader ( he has attended Freedom since he was 3). I have Always known I made the right decision in choosing Freedom for their school and spiritual learning, but recently my family experienced a devastating loss and how the school responded made it clear I made the right choice. Dr. Owens came to my home with Pastor Jeff and made it clear they would help my family however needed. Pastor Jeff prayed with me at a time that I really needed it. The school helped with food for my family, worked with my kids and their schoolwork, called to check on me and most of all they were there in our darkest hours. They will forever hold a special place in my heart. If you want a school that will be there for you like a Family then Freedom is the right choice.
Denise Hall: I was Blessed beyond measure when I attended the Grandparent’s Day celebration. The warm welcome from students & staff was astounding. I felt the love & anointing the moment I stepped on the grounds. Was very nice & honored to have the Administration & Founder speak with me. The building was immaculate. The Program was fantastic all God centered & glorified.I pray for this school daily & all of its members. God Bless each & everyone. Never loose sight of the vision & your purpose in God’s plan. To fulfill the Great Commission in unity. While visiting the school I was also able to watch a soccer game and I must say it was the most pleasant game I have ever attended & I used to play soccer all through my school years. With the team starting with prayer, to teammates encouraging one another as well as the opposing team. The coaches & staff were always pleasant, never heard a harsh word from them, nor those in attendance. Even in a defeat this team is not defeated nor depleted. It was so encouraging to see how the youngest, smallest to biggest & oldest can all play together as a team. TEAM = Together Everyone Accomplishes More. Love seeing an Administrator there supporting their team, as well as Staff. Reminds me of those who pray together, play together, also stay together. Great job & Kudos to ALL. I could feel the love even in the parking lot when I was obviously going the wrong way on a one way, I apologized to a gentleman driving his car (the right direction); but he quickly put me at ease stating the driving students were already dismissed so no problem. Phew. Thank you kind gentleman! And thank God for putting him in my path & giving me direction.Hope I get another opportunity to witness such loving compassionate people in one place. There needs to be more schools as well put together as this one. Only God could do such excellent work.
Sheryl Shortridge: My niece and nephew attend Freedom and I had the pleasure of touring the school and then interacting with the school for about 10 days while their parents took a vacation. Everyone is so kind and attentive to the students. I didn't know too much about the school but felt secure dropping them off each day knowing that they were surrounded by caring people. I would walk up to the school when picking them up and the teachers interacted with me each time to let me know how their days went and if there were any concerns. They were genuinely concerned that they met any needs. Even the students seemed to be kind and mannerly and my nephew would chat every day about new friends he was making. This to me was a reflection of the Godly atmosphere that the school must strive for and is absent from any public school system in our society today. If you are looking for a place where your child can grow and mature not only in education but in their walk with God, I highly recommend FCA.
Sherika Dellahousaye: I would first like to start with the application process, very tedious and lots of information needed and most of it isn’t reviewed and references aren’t contacted, not to mention it’s $150 to apply. The school has very strict religious beliefs which are stated on the application which I was aware and ok with. I mean I was raised in the Church so I get it. We got through the application process, had to wait about two weeks due to them closing admissions for about two weeks. I was ok with that as well. On 8/23 we finally received a call stating my son accepted into the school as a Senior. Apparently that was the incorrect process, which has nothing to do with me. I was then called on this same day about an hour or so later and was asked could I come in for an interview on 8/25 at 9:30a. I showed up withSon on this day and had to wait about 20 mins before being called in to do the interview. The interview was conducted by Dr. Owens, the NEW Head Principal for High School. Now let’s get right to the point, she made my son feel uncomfortable, he was already nervous. She made him feel inferior with her words. If I’m being frank, I have no idea how Freedom chose someone of her prejudicial nature to take over as Principal at a “Christian Academy.” During my interview she wanted to discuss the basketball team, my son is a student athlete so it was fine. This is where all the inappropriate comments started. She informed us that the boys basketball team had several arrogant players and they could use a little more God in them. I’m immediately taken aback because you’re speaking about someone’s child. She then proceeded to ask my son to tell her about himself. He was well spoken, spoke about his manners, family, etc. He also said he was an extrovert…Dr. Owens then interjected and told my Son it was several extroverts on the basketball team and it wasn’t necessarily a good thing. We continued to talk with her, she stated prior to her coming the school was doing things unethical…blah blah blah! She asked my Son if he had siblings, he informed her he had a little Sister and she was almost 2. This lady, DR OWENS had the audacity to save my 2yr old daughter was good birth control for my son! In what world do you think that is ok. It’s actually very discriminatory and stereotypical. The entire tone of the interview was inappropriate. On 8/26 at 4:28p I was sent an email stating he wouldn’t be accepted to the school. Go figure! Let’s remember 3 days prior before the interview with Dr Owens I was told he was accepted. Of course I wanted to speak to someone about my experience and the interview. On today 9/1 I had a meeting with the Head of School, Dr Drury and Dr Owens, it was pointless. He defended her behavior, made excuses and I was further insulted. No accountability or even a genuine apology. She actually said maybe I was too casual and relaxed during your interview. She couldn’t remember anything that was said, she continuously said I don’t know or I don’t remember. Freedom Christian Academy really needs to do better. I’m not sure what direction the school is headed but it’s definitely not God like. As a parent I’m disappointed my child had to experience this. Please be mindful of how you treat African American families, our kids matter too! We expect to have the same experience and equal opportunity, not to be brushed over and treated “casually” in Dr Owen’s words.
Bobby Wilson: After attending FCA for 3 years my grand children tested to have high levels of mold in their bodies. My daughter that worked there as a teacher has also tested to have high levels of mold in her system. The mold they have comes from a water damaged or leaking building. The school leaked the whole time they were there. Would not recommend this school to anyone.
Daniel: I attended here a few years ago and from my experience, they focus too much on cursive and Christianity than actual education.
L.A Clark: My daughter just started at Freedom this year , and I am loving her experience so far.
Elk Richardson: Very nice, Christ - centered educational facility.
L C: We love this school. After going from public school, to a charter school and then to Freedom we feel blessed to a part of such a wonderful GOD based program where the teachers love our child as we do and love them regardless as we do. No place is perfect, but it is how they handle the imperfections that make a difference to us. We hope to be here till our child graduates. From the wonderful preschool program, middle & high school academics, sports, music, art and theater programs this school is doing wonderful things for the future leaders of tomorrow.
Heather McCroan: The facilities are very nice, bright, and clean. They seem to have it together. I loved everything about the school, the class sizes, the mix of community, patriotism, and Christianity. We just had a less-than-desirable experience. We really wanted to send our two kids here.We lived across the street from one of the founders, Hall Powers. We went on a tour and I was upfront about being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (my husband is Baptist) since at the time Fayetteville Christian explicitly stated in their website that they did not accept members of my church or Muslims, and Berean Baptist would not return my emails after discussing my religion. Mr. Powers said no problem. We applied and in the process they started soccer practice (this was during late summer). They said my son could attend practice. I called about our application because my son was homeschooled and I wasn't sure how they wanted his academic record. During this time the new Head of School, Paul Williams, took over. I received a call from an office employee that said my son wasn't accepted because he was a troublemaker. In his seven years in school he had gotten into one skirmish with another student. We asked if there was an appeal process to the Head of School. Mr. Williams called my husband and said that my son wasn't accepted because of his grades, but nothing about being a troublemaker. My husband did not know that they didn't yet have any of his academic record. My husband called Hall Powers and he brushed it off as the decision of Mr. Williams. I don't know that it had to do with my religion, but considering we were lied to about the academic record that they did not have I feel like that might have been the reason. My son was broken hearted that he had to quit the practices. He loved the coach. He loved that they prayed at practice. He loved the school. And my husband was lied to, at a Christian school, by a Christian. Mr. Williams is no longer at the school and there is a new Head of School.
teaira Ussery: I love Freedom this school is truly a school that has God at the center of it I attend Freedom and it has helped me grow spiritually and has taught me what it takes to be a true leader
Aaron Paulus (Aaron Bird): In and of itself, Freedom Christian Academy is a unique yet remarkable place to send your child. As a K-12 school, the classroom sizes may not be as big as you might find in a public school. But that's okay; the smaller, the greater relationship with God! I have been attending this school for three years, and seems better than any other private school in the area. The location is a slight problem with pick up after school, but the curriculum is the same you would find at most High Schools and has optimum AP courses for your child. The food is to DIE for, whereas other school cafeteria food can actually kill you in a metaphorical sense. I rate this place a 4/5, as I feel like class choices could open up for electives. However, I for one will make the most out of my next two years at FCA. Goooooo Patriots!!!
Kensley Johnson: The reason I like this place is that I go to this school
Denise Perrault: After 3 years with FCA, I can say that this place is truly a school created by God. My children have grown educationally and spiritually. The teachers are all amazing on how they work as a team to educate. I appreciate chapel every Wednesday and the lessons that are taught. I get comments all the time at how well-mannered my children are and I know this school worked with my family to make this happen. You will not regret sending your child to Freedom Christian Academy.
Wel don: Freedom Christian Academy co-founder Joan Ellen Dayton knowingly allowed a sex offender to work around students and then tried to cover it up...... ooooooooooops!
Ernest Szymkowiak: It is a sad day that this school would not let my nephew into the school because he has an IEP and that he did not test well last school you. It saddens me that they would not even talk to us. He is a good student he likes to read and learn, but when he first came to us he could only speak about 30 words.
Mike Marshall: Over the past few months the FCA family has gone through a lot. One person does not make a school the way it is. Don't get me wrong, Mrs Dayton was a guiding force behind this school excelling. The reason we love this school so much is the family atmosphere there. My daughter, I feel is getting a quality education and not just info to take a test with. The teachers are second to none. The athletic program has a great leader in Mr. Pittman. I would highly recommend this school.
