The School of Hope: what do users think?
Becky Dessellier: The School of Hope has been a 'Beacon of Hope' for our family. The teachers are caring, experienced, and professional. They have the best interests of the child and their education in mind when making decisions. This is not just a school, but a family. One of the best in Fayetteville!
Katrina Powers: The School of Hope was life changing for my daughter and our family. You can not and will not find a better place for your autistic child. My daughter willingly walks in everyday because she feels loved and safe. She is receiving an education that is meeting her where she is in each subject. These are all of the things you cannot find in the EC public education system. From the small classroom sizes, one on one support, top notch teachers and aides, all the way up to the most amazing principal and admin staff (you too, Mr. Rob)…The School of Hope has it all. This is more than a school. It’s a family.❤️
Keri Godwin: School of Hope has been a life changer for our family! Our son has not only met but exceeded goals we never thought possible. He receives the individual instruction that he desperately needs to be successful .The small class sizes and personalized instruction from an entire team of qualified and loving teachers have made such a positive impact on our lives.Every child deserves a school like this!

Flaming Sword Christian Academy & Daycare: what do users think?
Faith Zazueta: Very structured school that will do the best possible job at preparing your child for the future! I especially love their high school program. Dr. Hatmaker is top notch!
Joshua Kelsen: Very welcoming and professional
Lori Ruffin: My son has made leaps and bounds being at Flaming Sword Daycare!
Desiree Rivera: This has been the best school for my son. He attended school here last year and he continues to love going to school. He has friends that understand him and teachers that love him. I’ve watched him grow socially and academically. He is given the opportunity to be himself in an environment that is both nurturing and loving. As long as he is happy and learning, he will continue to go to this school.
Jessica Lord: Flaming Sword Christian Daycare was the first Daycare I have ever used for my kids and I will never choose to put them anywhere else. It has been a great experience for both my kids and I. My daughter is two and has learned so much being there and has so much personality by being able to engage with other kids and learning the values of what they teach. My son is two months old and they treat him as he is their own. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
Emmalee Johnson: Flaming Sword is very accommodating to all students. They make make sure students are getting the education they need in a way that works for them.
Jay Jay: Bad school to go to I been there and it was hell I’m telling you don’t go there!!!!!😒
Bella: My son started going to FSC back in October and I am happy with his teacher Ms. Precious, she goes above and beyond of what she is supposed to and treats my son as if she knew him from a long time ago. She gives me the peace of mind to leave my kid in someone else’s hands that aren’t mine. Thank you for all you do Ms. Precious.
Anais Valentin: I'm so grateful for this Day Care! Teachers really love them and do a great job. My two boys went there for 2 years and they have so much fun and learn. Never have any issues. Teachers are awesome! Even with the pandemic, my kids never get sick there. They clean and desinfect every area. My kids went there during the hard time of Covid and they never have to be absent because a sickness comming from daycare. This is very helpful fir parents, to knowing that your kids are in good and safety hands. Mrs. Tina and Mrs. Precious leave a great day care experience in our boys. 💞
Veronica Allen: Sending my son to the Flamming Sword Christian Daycare and shorty after the Academy was the best decision ever. As a mom, it was important that I place my son in the safest educational environment. I was pretty skeptical at first, because I was concerned about my sons behavior. The Daycare Director ensured me that the teachers would work with me and develop lesson plans to assist with the challenges my son had. The daycare teachers provided my husband and I with methods and guidance on how to work on certain issues with my son at home, so that the good behaviors would transition into school. With the highly skilled and experienced daycare teachers my son improved in many of the areas that I had concerns. The teachers genuinely care for the kids. The Daycare Director is awesome! Just to name a couple of the daycare teachers, Ms. Tina and Ms. Precious were amazing towards my son. ALL the daycare teachers who I came across were friendly and cared for the kiddos. This facility feels like a family environment and I feel confident that I made the right decision when I drop my son off to school and previously to their daycare. Now since my son transitioned into the Academy, my feelings towards the school and daycare haven’t changed. The level of educational service is superior. My son amazes me with all that he has learned academically at the Academy. The Principal has an open door policy. For instance, if I have any questions or concerns she responds timely and her decisions are always based on the best interest of the students. This place has been a blessing to my family. My son is receiving his education at a school were he is accepted and they continue to work with me on methods to help him improve and be successful. I highly recommend this daycare and school to others who are reading this review to decide if this is a perfect fit.
Kelly Swearer: My grandson goes here and absolutely loves this place! It’s a great environment and the teachers and helpers do a fantastic job with the kids! I highly recommend it
C L.B: We are extremely satisfied with Flaming Sword Daycare Gingerbread House. My daughter has become quite the communicator and very confident in her ways. The educational program is evident in her behaviors at home with reading and writing. My soon to be 4 yr old hasn’t expressed a bad day in her 6 months there.
Kemberli Mayo: I love Flaming Sword Academy. I’ve had a experience with the teachers and I’ve seen my daughter’s growth.
Madeline Reed: Our son has been attending this preschool for almost a year now. This is his third daycare (he’s four) and by far our favorite. The teachers are sweet and attentive, the director of the daycare ms Jamie is very sweet and helpful if you have any issues or concerns as well. My son just turned four and he is already able to write his name!
Angelina Hugaboom: Knowledgeable staff and good learning environment
Tee J: I have never been more disgusted in a facility in my entire life my daughter constantly stayed sick from RSV to hand foot and mouth and now COVID-19. We were told by other parents how they allow children to come into the daycare sick even the staff who have their own grandchildren going to the school come to school sick it's pretty sad how people don't have the common courtesy to keep your children home if they are sick especially in this time with this awful pandemic. Then when questioned about the situation I was told by Jamie my child was being removed because I was being aggressive over the phone not once did anyone from this Daycare call to check up on my child she was diagnosed with Covid last Friday
Debbie Yerdon: I love this Daycare!! My son learned so much and he really loved his teachers and the new friends he made.
Katarina Patterson: The daycare/preschool program is fantastic! I have kiddos with special needs and I specifically switched them from another place to Flaming Sword because they will not only accommodate to those needs but also TEACH my kids so they can actually learn.
Gretchen Weil: My son and daughter both attended daycare here and graduated preschool. The teachers are wonderful. They’re very caring and I feel like both kids were well prepared for entry into kindergarten.
Jamie Haumann: My daughter loves coming to daycare most days! They have excellent rapport with the kids!
Hannah Bell: Staff is amazing! My son has been attending since he was a baby. They are like family now. The teachers are amazing. They go out of their way not just for the childeren but for the parents as well!

First Impressions Academy: what do users think?
Rebecca Alam: My husband and I are both public school teachers, with 17 and 20 years experience respectively. After all we have seen and experienced, there was a long list of musts when considering private school for our children. First Impressions Academy checks every box and has exceeded our expectations. This will be our 6th year at FIA and every year we are blown away. The school provides a tight-knit, family feel. Small class sizes ensure that students' individual needs are met and all children get the attention they deserve. The staff is filled with quality, degreed and credentialed teachers who know the content and effective strategies for instruction. It is apparent that the staff loves and cares for the children. The leadership has been amazing since my first encounter, including calming my anxiety about my little one going to preschool. They have an open door policy and I've always felt comfortable talking to them. I am so glad we found FIA six years ago. It truly has been the best experience for our children! I know that no matter where the future may take us, my children have a strong foundation because of First Impressions Academy.
dennis kinlaw: Absolutely the worst place for developing your child socially and academically. My grandchild attended First Impression grades 1 through 4 before we pulled him out. Unqualified teachers, bad attitudes, teaching skills and curriculum are not suitable for your child’s growth and development. Better off in public schools or Christian school where staff and methods are more normal. Owner of school doesn’t take criticism constructively, instead she defends her staff right or wrong. 4 years at this school nearly ruined our GC. After home schooling, and enrolling our GC in a more appropriate atmosphere at a local Christian school, our GC is back to normal and enjoying life and school. Stay away from this school.
Troy: Wonderful school
Kirstyn Martin: Our kids have learned so much since being at FIA. The level of education they recieve there is outstanding and above other schools in the area. We love the small class sizes and personal feel! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and truly care about each student.
Anyeliz Perez: I am a proud parent to a wonderful student at this school and I couldn’t be happier. The staff is amazing and the environment for my daughter is welcoming. My daughter loves going to school and absolutely loves the STEM program. She loves that she can do actual experiments in science almost daily. I have read other reviews and I noticed one said that they make you sign a contract stating not to share bad reviews, THIS IS FALSE!!! They have a standard contract for payment, school uniform policy, attendance and discipline. If your looking for a school for your child to excel and learn, then this is the place for you. If you are the type of parent that has issues with having your children miss school then this school is not for you! They follow the state attendance policy and there are to many parents that get angry when their kids get more than 10 unexcused and the school has to legally take action. The school uniforms are Mandatory and have to be purchased from a specific company. This school is about having a structured school setting. This school is not for you if your not devoted to your child’s education and not planning to abide school policy. This school is for devoted parents dedicated to wanting the best education possible and being responsible enough to take their kids to school like they are supposed to.
Katie Terry: Best place for our children. Highly recommend!
Jennifer Quinones: First Impression Academy doesn't feel like a school, it feels like a family. My 6th grader is thriving in middle school the STEM program is one you will not find anywhere in this town or surrounding cities. The hands-on projects, real-world experiences, and level of academics is second-to-none. We completed in regional Science Olympiad and our small school is going to state. I can't count the number of times we were asked; "What school are you guys from!"The children are so close and have created a culture amongst themselves of support, encouragement, love, and respect. Our kids are different, and everyone who encounters them can see it. FIA is committed to character building, self-reliance, respect, and accountability. I trust my teachers; I trust our staff, they will leave no stone unturned. I know my child is important to them and when in school I know, she is in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. First Impressions Academy is truly Fayetteville's little GEM; we are so blessed to be here.
honest review: Very dishonest about the quality of education offered as well as the favoritism.
Kim Nagowski: We have been a FIA family for 4 years. As an educator I know the importance of meeting the needs of all children and that is an area that FIA excels in. If your child needs to be challenged they are and if your child needs extra help, they provide it. The teachers are able to teach the students using creativity since they are not just teaching to a test. The students do take standardized tests from grade 3 on and do well above average because of good teaching at the level of the students. The class sizes are very small, usually 10-12. These small classes allow for the individualized instruction when needed. My daughter loves FIA and even asks to be taken back after appointments. It's now summer and she misses her friends and school. We are excited about the new middle school with a STEM focus (Science Technology Engineering and Math)!
Peter Robinson: The staff at First Impressions Academy is really great with communication. They are always available, attentive, and responsive whenever we have questions about our kids or their progress in school. I recommend FIA highly to our friends and family.
Julianne Ottersbach: This school is phenomenal. We moved here from the public school system and DODea schools, and have never looked back. The class sizes allow for hands on teaching. The intimacy of the environment makes for endless support among the kids--they really build each other up and encourage one another. My children have found a second home at FIA where they have grown into comfortable and confident students. I could not recommend it enough. Five stars is too few.
Mike Reiley: I love their small class sizes and hands on style. Teachers are every caring, comfortable and create a good learning environment.
Christina Holly: Two of my children attend the First Impressions Academy and it is great. The schools academic curriculum is thorough and excellent.
Kali Cain: My two boys are at FIA and they LOVE it! Best curriculum and teachers I have seen. The small family atmosphere is wonderful and my children are so excited to go to school everyday. So happy we found FIA!!!
T Gaskins: for the full review please see YELP the emails are found there.I am including the email exchange with this review. This email exchange is what prompted me to even write the review. The tone, the dismissiveness, the lack of professionalism, the fact that a spot mysteriously opens up once I complain and ask for a refund is all suspect. I want people to see for themselves the kind of administration that runs this school BEFORE you think of enrolling your child. Here's the thing no matter what I feel or complain about the administration should remain professional. The owner would have you believe this is about my child not getting a spot, but this is about a lack of professionalism. After scrambling and by the grace of God, we were able to enroll my daughter full time at another private school. The administration would have you think that this review is being posted from a place of maliciousness and truly it's not. It's not even about the refund. I asked for one they declined and that for me could have and would have been the end of it. However when I shared my disappointment with the process and the owner took it upon herself to dangle a spot that magically opened up (AFTER MY COMPLAINT) in front of me and then inferred that my child doesn't belong at her school BECAUSE she felt some type of way about my email and complaints...this is why I'm posting this review. It's beyond unprofessional, in fact it's down right insulting. We never got the chance to become a part of this school and honestly after this fiasco its for the best. I can only imagine how our concerns would have been addressed.Last let me add there are two people you will interact with Christy Pettit and Teresa Clayton, they make up the administration. You can just see by the email exchange who is professional and who isn't. In retrospect I even recall mentioning to my husband how cold the owner Christy Pettit was when we were introduced during our tour, but I chalked it up to possibly her having a bad day. The emails with her responding lets me know this is who she is. I understand this is their school and they are protective of it BUT there is also a need for professionalism. Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend anyone dealing with this school. I was highly impressed upon first glance but knowing the kind of people who are in the administration office and how they operate...wouldn't recommend.
