Ryu's Taekwondo NC: what do users think?
Rose Lockamy: They are kind caring and awesome all around
Michaela Cunningham: My son is excited to attend Ryu's Taekwondo everyday. The excitement on his face brings joy to my heart.
xAkatsukiLegend: Very good place and good master I’ve started as a white belt now I’m black belt!
Sanghar Esmaiel: Master RYU is very knowledgeable. The children gives him a lot of respect. Awesome experience.
Susan Pitts: We've been with Ryu's Taekwondo since 2018, and it's hands down one the best places to train. The instructors are great with the kids. We love the family atmosphere. I can't imagine being anywhere else.
Nicole Alexander: Seriously the best! We spent a year or so searching for a great taekwondo and we are slo glad we landed with Master Ryu. He really pushes but yet encourages the kids. As they keep testing up in belts, even though the schedule changes he has been really flexible and working with us to make sure we can still fit in classes with all of our other activities.
Michelle: We have tried 5 karate places in Fayetteville. 5!!!! Schools where teachers close for 5 weeks, teachers have hit kids, teachers only have kids teach kids, schools that demand $$$$ upfront. We were desperate to find a karate school like our last one in Nevada.A few of my athletes recommended this gym. MY SON CANT GET ENOUGH!!! This is really a family environment. Positive and nurturing. My son wakes up at 6 a.m. begging to go to their day camp. When I pick him up...he begs to stay later. You can't beat the price. Classes are controlled, encouraging, and fun. The staff....just amazing. Each of them love on the children encouraging and patient. This IS the Taekwondo school of Fayetteville. Period.
Mark Tanefski: Phenomenal Mixed Martial Arts School. Master Ryu and his staff are more than exceptional. The knowledge base and standards by the staff really is what sets them apart from all places in the surrounding area. You couldn’t ask for a better team. They care and treat all students with the upmost respect. They genuinely care about the students and are very interactive with the guest that come and support.
Michael Goins: Positive:Quality
Mallory Haun: Ryu, Jackson and Sharday are wonderful instructors and very patient teachers. The calsses are focused, fun, educational, and specfic to each level of learned ability. the students are supported through every process as they advance! The facility is brand new, beautiful and super clean! They are huge on cleanliness and sanitation, as well as comfort and support for the on looking family members! I highly recommend!

U.S. Taekwondo Center: what do users think?
Victoria: Master Kim is fantastic at teaching Taekwondo. He makes the classes fun and effective. He also does a great job at helping each student individually while still teaching the whole group.- Sarah (Student)
Tristan Wallitsch: I highly recommend this taekwondo school. The staff are all kind but don’t take silliness which is why I recommend here because they can teach every student discipline. I am a first fan black belt and have been at this school for about four years so i know the staff well and it has been a great experience overall. If anyone were to choose a taekwondo school it should be this one.
Jade Tianero: Master Kim is very professional and has a kind heart.I really that he does not only teaches self defence but also discipline, respect and kindness. He gives affirmations and compliments to his students. overall i highly recommend him to my family and friends!
Gavin: The U.S taekwondo center is amazing. Our master(master Kim) is amazing he’s nice, funny, and overall he’s just a amazing person. All you have to do is listen and do your best and you will have a amazing time.
Mini Jiminie: Us Taekwondo Center is a very fun place to get your body moving and learn something new !
Epic Gamer: I have learned so much from Teakwondo. Master Kim teaches us how to defend and attack. I am having a good time in Taekwondo. Maybe you can join at U.S Taewondo Center. -Vincent N.
Jaden Ontiveros: Hello my name is Jaden and I’m 13 , I am a student, participant, and educator, at U.S. Taekwondo Center. I am also part of there leadership class and an assistant instructor. I highly recommend U.S. Taekwondo Center because it changed my life it made who I wanted to become, I was learning how to be apart of something and how to interact with people and there personalities. I was loving that I had something to do every week and I was on a schedule it made me understand responsibility and that really helps me out now and definitely in the future. Taekwondo also helps me with my focus which can lead me to my goals in my future for education, sports, and a career on what I want to do. I also seem to be a leader and be capable of doing things I may never thought I could ever do and the reason is because of U.S. taekwondo Center and the instructors and my master that guided me to where I am now. And you will never meet someone as caring as Master Kim he is the most interacting person I met he is like someone you would love to be when you grow up and the instructors are so caring as well they understand what’s wrong so easily and helps you right away and persuades you to be the best you can. And Master Kim will boost your confidence up when you doubt yourself so much and he encourages you to be the best you can. That’s why I love going to taekwondo because it gives me a reason to do something and set a goal and achieve that goal and it’s such a wonderful place to be at.That’s my opinion and my review on U.S. Taekwondo Center.
Lindsey Condry: I highly recommend Taekwondo because it is a great sport to learn obedience, leadership, and so many other things. Master Kim has been a great teacher and a great mentor. I’ve had such a great time learning new things every day. The instructors push you to your best. I think you will have a great time too. - Jacob C.
Ebony Graham: Now my kid know how to protect himself thank you yal
Kathy Stachurski: My grandson comes to stay the month of June & 3 days every week he spends 1 hour with Master Kim. Master Kim teachings through fun activities that strengthen not only the body but the mind also. He takes time with each student giving the extra attention they may need to improve a kick or any style that they are working on. This is our second year with Master Kim and as long as he is teaching and my grandson visits he will be in his classes.I am so happy that I found U.S. Taekwondo Center and when the end of June comes my grandson is sad to leave, but when he leaves he leaves with all the knowledge he has learned to take home with him. Thank you Master Kim!
Edwin Negron: THE BEST DECISION ME AND MY WIFE DID IN ENROLLING MY 2 LITTLE GIRLS IN U.S. TAEWONDO. MY 2 GIRLS CONFIDENT LEVEL WENT UP WITH IN LESS THAN A MONTH ESPECIALLY WITH MY ONE DAUGHTER SAVANNAH WHO'S CURRENTLY ON OCCUPATIONAL AND SPEECH THERAPY AND ALSO HAS SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER AND WEARING HEARING AIDS. SHE IS HAVING FUN AND SHE'S VERY EXCITED AND HAPPY!!! MY WIFE JUST JOIN!! I WILL RECCOMEND ANYBODY OR EVERYBODY TO COME AND JOIN US AT U.S. TAEWONDO IN FAYETTEVILLE, NC.
Juliana Morehouse: I absolutely love working with Master Kim at US Tae Kwon Do center. He has given me so much confidence, strength, and skill. Master Kim makes your goals HIS goals. If you want to obtain your black belt or just gain some self defense tactics, US Tae Kwon Do center is the place to be!
yusuf williams: My 4yr old son loves this Center he is always showing off his moves, great mix of disciple, fun and structure
Deeidra Reyes: Master Kim at USTC, instructs our 13 year old and 4 year old, each at their individual level. He provides the structure, technique, and differentiation that we were looking for. Both of our children enjoy attending classes, because Master Kim teaches various skills and techniques in ways that are fun and engaging for all ages.
Claire Kim: I have 8yrs old girl and 4yrs old boy. It was hard for me to find after school activities that allow both children to participate at the same time. Fortunately, US taekwondo center provides trainings for all age group and the specialized techniques depending on their fitness levels and physical abilities.Master Kim is professional and enthusiastic. Also, he is hilarious to make children laugh and smile during the exercise. After watching how he administers the class for several months, I realize that he cares not only the physical aspects of taekwondo, but also focuses discipline and respect. My children are dedicated because of self-esteem he gives them and they have learned self-control, attitude, focus, and confidence. Both of my children truly enjoy Taekwondo classes and they look forward to going to class. As a mom, I truly enjoy watching them grow happily. I highly recommend US Taekwondo center to everyone, beginners to experts.
Dc Navy Warrior: Most of my friends participate in team sports such as soccer or basketball. I have never been that interested in team sports so I missed out on the physical exercise, skill practice and goal setting that my friends were experiencing. When my father got me involved in Taekwondo I did not know how it would change my life. In the beginning I was not strong, had little flexibility, and was a little impatient. Two years later I am a very different person. As I earned each belt in my training, my body changed and my behavior changed. Physically, I am much more flexible and have better coordination. I have become stronger and have greater balance. The things I can do now like breaking boards, Jumping back spin kicks, and side kicks have given me so much confidence. I am more focused in school now. Having to set goals to earn each Taekwondo belt has helped me set goals in my schoolwork and projects. I am so much better at managing all my work like taking my summer reading and completing my Spanish project without any help. The repetition and discipline I experience in Taekwondo are skills that I use everyday. I am starting middle school this year. I know it will be a lot more challenging than lower school. I am going to use what I have learning in Taekwondo are skills that I use everyday.Master Kim has been a great teacher and has taught me how to be more respectful not just to him but to everyone. People seem to really notice this because they tell my parents about how I show courtesy and respect when I have sleepovers or paly dates with my friends. Master Kim has pushed me to improve my Taekwondo skills and taught me how to be more goal oriented. At first, I just wanted to achieve my black belt. Now I hope to go beyond that to achieve a second-degree black belt.I am starting middle school this year. I know it will be a lot more challenging that lower school. I am going to use what I have learned in Taekwondo to help me succeed. I plan to stay focused, work hard, and make good grades. I am more focused in everything I do. I think more clearly now. I do not get distracted from the task at hand as much as I used to. I have been able to help my dad at work. I help my mom around the house with chores. Maybe one day I will even try playing team sports.I really like Taekwondo because it represents true personal achievement for me. Achieving my black belt would mean that I can do what I set my mind to do. It would give me a sense of accomplishment and pride that I worked hare and did not give up. Taekwondo has helped me connect with my dad better. I know my dad is proud of me for sticking with it and going after my black belt. In summary, Taekwondo has made me a better total person. I look forward to my next challenge in Taekwondo and in life.
Kortney Livingstone: We signed up our son for Taekwondo about a month ago. He loves the school environment. It’s clean, educational, structure and very welcoming.
Traverro Harden: I have visited other local Taekwondo schools and Master Kim's US Taekwondo Center is by far the cream of the crop. The discipline, the infusion of Korean culture into class & special events, and the sincere affection Master Kim has for his students makes me committed to seeing my child through this school to his Black Belt & beyond. I highly recommend this school to ANY parent looking for an overall positive martial arts & life experience for their child.
Evelye Noll: Really this place sets a new standard for excellence. You can take your child there with confidence.
Stanley Helowicz: This place is awesome, my son is everything to me and he loves this place. Mr Kim is very personable amd friendly. I look forward to a long relationship with this place.
Adam Klover: I've been going here since November and absolutely love this school! The instructor is amazing and good at helping you in your specific area of need. Has an awesome kids program and a program for all ages. If your looking into martial arts classes in Fayetteville I highly recommend U.S Taekwondo!!!👍👍👍

Timothy Wingett: So far 5 stars! Grand Master Kim seems to have a good balance to his teaching ways. It is no easy thing to teach a 6 yearold to listen ;)
Veronica Wells: My son enjoys his "ninja classes" and has already learned a lot. He's always excited to show us his new moves when we pick him up. HellHounds Clan: The kids and I love Master Kim & his wife Sun. They not only teach your kids Taekwondo but also teach them respect, how to become more independent & also how to speak Korean!

Leadership Martial Arts & Krav Maga: what do users think?
Daquan Wilson: Had a great time learning in the firearm disarming class. Great opportunity to grow in my knowledge of self defense.
Cathy Cross: Very informative and definitely a worthwhile learning experience. I would definitely recommend this class.
Kris J: I attended the Firearm Disarming Bootcamp and had an excellent time. Even as a complete beginner to everything martial arts, I was able to keep up with what was taught. The staff was very friendly, and they taught in a way that I will always remember.
Deborah Johnson: Awesome class. Class included a PowerPoint lesson plan as well as practice sessions to apply the skills that were taught
Kendell Cheek: The staff is amazing! Very approachable and friendly. My daughter has been attending her for almost a year now. Her daily life has changed, increasing her leadership, respect, and overall courage.
Welty Lohr: My kiddos are 6 & 7 years old.My daughter is 6, and is doing extremely well. She has developed nicely in work ethic and discipline in a very short amount of time.My son is 7 and on the spectrum. His core was weaker than most kids, and he needed additional discipline, structure, and physical awareness. The patience, professionalism, and kindness that the staff has shown has been amazing. His progress has been amazing.Mr. Brown is our usual instructor, and he does an amazing job of keeping control, and and keeping the class flowing. He is constantly giving the class life applications for what he is teaching, and we appreciate that.Miss Williams was a guest instructor a few weeks ago, and she taught a lot of stuff in class that transfers to life. I truly appreciate that. Sportsmanship, manners, and things of that nature are very important to me and my family. It was great to see it reinforced in that environment, and in that manner.I truly appreciate these folks and their approach to training, and recommend them to anyone in any situation!
Dominiic Taylor: I attended the women’s self defense class and it did not disappoint!! Not only was the class amazing, the people and the conversation was amazing. I had so much more fun than I thought. Master brown made the topic of self defense fun but also serious.
Ceera Sadler: I 100% highly recommend them! My husband and son both attend classes here and they love it. Everyone is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I also attended a women’s self defense class tonight that went fantastic! ☺️
Pav. E.: Good people, always learning something. Ever visit whether it was to be part of the class or to visit the owners; it’s great. They teach you to smile, confidence yet not cocky, cardio, flexibility, and to have fun.
Shiklah Wilson (QueenShiklah): I went to a very good women's self-defense seminar. There was a lot of helpful and practical information.
Jeremy Simmons: Our boys joined ATA last year toward the end of the COVID pandemic, and we are so happy we got them involved with this facility. In fact, we wish we had signed them up sooner! We can’t say enough good things about the Brown family… positivity, respect, confidence, and hard work are at the heart of what they teach. Our children thrived under their instruction and became active, fit, and healthy. The facility is clean and well maintained. There is also a program for all ages and skill levels. We have full confidence in the Brown family and highly recommend this facility to anyone who may be interested in martial arts.
Keith johnson: Positive:Communication,Professionalism
Kasey Martin: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Ryan Walters: Probably one of the best development programs for both young kids and adults. Your kids will learn many important life skills: improved communication, discipline, self-confidense, and good work ethic. The Brown family combined (both Sr. Masters and future Master Brown) bring over 70 years worth of experience, and know the best ways to teach all types personalities. Whether you’re a die hard martial arts enthusiast, or just looking for a good after school program (or anything in between) ATA is the place to be!
Rebecca Pratt: First day n I really enjoyed myself.
September Shobe: It's amazing best place I've ever been to !
Phyllis Guinn: My granddaughter loves taekwondo. She is in 3 classes per week. The Browns are great instructors who love their kids and adults. They teach discipline as well as life skills during class.
Alena Jeffrey: Simply the best martial arts place in the area!
Daniel Cooke: We love ATA and the blessing they have been to our family. Great training, instruction, and life lessons. We used to go to training on post that was cheaper but the quality was lacking. ATA is well worth the value.
Jolisa Williams: All 3 of my girls do Taekwondo here and I do Krav Maga , we absolutely love it here everyone is so friendly and welcoming . Since we started here we have learned so much and i am grateful that the Browns are sharing their passion with us .
Tania Sánchez: It's incredible how a good instructor and a good class experience can change your mindset. I had such a great time during my self defense class with Master Brown.. I'd love to learn more.

Family Martial Arts Academy: what do users think?
Anna Anna: My daughter LOVES going to practice at Family Marital Arts. She is learning so much and is having the best time of her life. Her confidence is growing and I am so excited for her future !!!!
Phoenixwolf Hello: I take my son who had very little social interaction with kids his age. He has totally change his self esteem to positive. He is excited to be with his peers who teach one another and are instilling confidence and leadership traits.
Bonnie Patterson: My 9 year old boys have spent the last 2 years making lasting friendships, learning self discipline, getting super strong and becoming bully proof. If your kid is hyperactive they will learn to sit still longer and be more calm and respectful. I highly recommend them. They do treat you like family and love your kids. It has a much better feel than any other place.
Jenny Plyler: I enrolled my (very bright, but incredibly insecure, unsure, and timid) 11 year old son in the weekly program (I was DESPERATE to find something for him to connect with which wouldn't overwhelm him!) After the first (one-on-one) trial session with Master Huff, I drove a COMPLETELY different kid home than the one who had originally walked thru their doors! He was BEYOND proud of himself for his progress in that first session - My mom heart nearly exploded as he screamed at the top of his lungs, "I DID IT!!!!!," and we were both moved to tears as he was excitedly telling me about how good he felt about himself. He usually puts things off, but first thing this morning, he asked if we could attend tonight's group class. (I couldn't say, "YES!" fast enough!) All day today, I watched him carry his head higher than I've seen in years, and the genuine smiles and giggles were abundant (music to a worried mother's heart!) At the group session tonight, there were different levels of experience, and I was a little concerned b/c I know he gets intimidated when he doesn't feel sure of his ability compared to others... but when we got into the car THE MOST AMAZING WORDS CAME OUT OF HIS MOUTH! "Mom, I was intimidated by the more advanced belts at first, but then they weren't perfect but they just kept trying... it was no big deal! I didn't feel bad about not being perfect after that... I want to practice when we get home." (Y'all - when I say this is UNHEARD OF, I'm not exaggerating in the LEAST! My kid DOES NOT accept not being perfect in front of his peers, and he shuts down on literally ANYTHING he can't master immediately.) He has asked if we can go back tomorrow, and has set a long-term goal of eventually earning a black belt! When we got home, he didn't even look at his video games... he started practicing his form.To the staff at Family MAA - the energy which exudes from your facility is so uplifting, motivating and positive that this worried mom's heart is overflowing! - I am FLOORED by the positive changes that only 2 sessions have made in my son's percieved self-worth, confidence, and overall energy. You have earned another student for life! - And as his mom, I cannot properly express to you how much this means to his family and me. We have always seen his potential, but you beautiful people have found a way to help HIM see it in himself... You are priceless. Thank you. We'll see you tomorrow, and every other day that our schedule will allow!
Chester Bolton: Someone stole my grandson’s tennis shoes while he was in class. Someone saw who did it but the people there said they would get the shoes back, which they did but they refused to tell me who did so I couldn’t call the police!!
Waleed Abdur-Razzaq: I received the warm and courteous welcome and excellent introduction to finding out the interest of your children in martial arts
Buffie Story: Love It! My Girls Love It! Tracy and her team is Wonderful! Very encouraging & supportive. They are the best at what they do.
Casey C.: Mediocre at best. The most concerning issue - they have ran our credit card for the past few months after we gave them ample notice of our leaving the area and that we would no longer be attending the academy. We have had to dispute each charge and get a new card. The location is less than desirable and there is no real staff, only the instructor. They also charge for everything. (Gi is a charge, the class is a charge, each belt test that they do way too frequently is a charge...) the quality of the instruction is mediocre at best, so if you hoped to learn actual self defense, look somewhere else.
A.M. Valcarcel: They get 5 starts from our family. We started our five year old with Ms. Huff about a month ago. He was so scared that he didn't participate for the first two times we went. Her patience and subtle persistence paid off and he loves it. He's so happy with the pee wee class and can't wait to see his continued growth.
Natascia Epps-Hamlett: My son really enjoys the time he spends with Family Martial Arts Academy. He is challenged and has fun. The instructor is awesome and knowledgeable in her craft.
Erin Welden: FMAA has become our second home. Tracy Huff is a fantastic mentor. She and the FMAA family are building the leaders of tomorrow. Teaching respect, building confidence, and creating well rounded, well prepared individuals.
Jason Sellers: We have been with Miss Tracy @ Family Martial Arts for several years now. We have never been disappointed.
Angela: She demands respect and teaches them things they will remember for the rest of their lives!

I’ve searched about 4 different places and came across Martial Arts of NC. Compared to the other nearby gyms, the instructor Jason is very personable, knowledgeable, has a great personality and makes you feel like family. Especially the students. You can tell a lot about a group of people by their leader. Everyone is friendly, patient and willing to help you. This place reminds me of my gym back at home! (Shouts out ELITE BJJ 🤙🏾).
Donut Best wide receiver: My child went here and he said it was fun they teach you well and they make sure you do it correctly because if does not they would sho him how to do it again but I moved but recommend coming here to learn how to fight

The Commitment and enthusiasm of this BJJ Family is built on a structure of professionalism and dedication Not only did it met my expectations but exceeded them. Thank you "Professor Jason" and staff for teaching a old dog some Amazing new Tricks
Hephzibah Bouriaque: 10/10 experience Suna was a very good instructor
Isaac Velazquez: 100 percent recommend. My first time ever going and everyone was so helpful and humble and just willing to teach. Marcus Was a great teacher as well! And the sensei was very Knowledgeable. This is the place to come.

Jacob Frison: First time training BJJ. All the coaches are very knowledgeable and patient. The environment produced by staff and students makes it easy to start and get involved
Adam Festa: Without a doubt the best gym in Fayetteville. The instructors are some of the best competitors in the sport. We don’t bake cupcakes.
Madison Beard: I had so much fun training here and learned a lot. As a female it’s sometimes hard to find places where you feel accepted, Team Roc makes everyone feel welcome :) Train here to up your game!
Chris Med: Walk in to ask in regards of the kids class for my 10yo. The lady on the desk was super rude to the point I felt like she wasn’t welcome there. They definitely have to work on their costumers service
Jose Centeno: My 5 year old son came here for the Jiu-Jitsu classes for almost a year. The staff is super friendly and good with integrating new kids to on going classes, coach Alicia is caring and understanding with kids. I am specially impressed by how good of an instructor coach Isaiah Monroe is to kids, the patience he has and the ability to explain things to little kids is amazing. The rest of the coaches are really good with kids just don't have time to mention them all. Thanks for everything!
john thang: I went to this gym for two weeks. Both weeks were amazing. The gi and no gi sessions were all very knowledgable. They’re very diverse in the moves they teach both in gi and without. The fundamental and advanced classes are full of great instructors who are seasoned and very well versed if you plan on learning for competition or just self defense and fitness. I myself carried some of the moves I learned here with me to other gyms and have used them. The muay thai is great. We learned different kicks, sparred, and I always end up leaving better then I was the day before and completely drenched in sweat. I will come back for more soon.
Patrick Bird: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat school for self defense, competition, or just to get in a great workout, they offer MMA & Jiu Jitsu Gi/No Gi. I’ve trained in 3 countries and 3 states and Team Roc is definitely up there in my opinion as Elite, whether you’re a ranked fighter or a day one martial artist or anywhere in between. Jah bless and Aloha 🤙🏼
John Stull: Critical:Professionalism
Augusto Juarez: I trained here when I was stationed in Bragg. Living in the barracks it was a very convenient location—a 15-minute drive, and it’s right outside the gate. It’s next to an Asian grocery too, so that’s where I’d usually get food after on weekends.I walked in and I immediately felt welcomed. Being that a lot of the students and instructors were/are in Bragg, there were no contracts involved, and signups were easy. No gi requirements unless attending a seminar. The gym has a pretty good culture going. A lot of experienced guys helping out the new guys. Being a little guy, I had a great experience training here, both in Jiu-jitsu and MMA. I was never put against some [theoretical] meathead with a chip on his shoulder who would try to take my head off; pretty much all of my training was controlled, even when I got smashed.Community is great too. I think this is the place where I met pretty much almost all of the friends I made in my entire stay at Bragg.
Timothy Hollingsworth: I showed up unannounced while already going through a fight camp in my hometown. I explained to all the coaches what my situation was and how long I would be attending. They accepted me with open arms and made me feel like I was part of their team.
Patrick McPhail: Awesome place to train. I started off completely new to it all, after maybe 3 weeks I had a basic understanding of guards and mounts, and fell in love.
