Cathy: The nail technician cut my finger while cutting the cuticles. The gel polish lasted 3 day before a bubble formed. 2 nails had polish peeling by day 4. Called to get them it fix the nails since the manicure was less than 5 days old. I explained I was working until after they closed but could come the next morning. I was informed that they were very busy and couldn't do it the next day, just the day I was calling. A friend called immediately after me and was told times of appointments available the same time I asked for. Will never use them again. He made a comment that if I wear neon orange, people will think "I'm from the HOOD." Very unprofessional! I asked for dip and he stated that they don't do dip on artificial nails. Franchesca Tong: My new favorite nail place! The vibes, the decor, the actual nail “bar” look was amazing. The privacy curtains by the pedicure chairs made it seem like I was in a private room. Staff was super friendly, Kim took on the challenge of my feet which hadn’t seen a salon in almost 6 months! I loved every fun, relaxing moment and the prices?!?! The prices were so reasonable, they are the best in town! Don’t bother going anywhere else! Even the beautiful dogs that lay about are so well behaved and so chill it makes you want to spend the whole day there. Make an appointment though because this place is what nail salons should be like and once people come here they always want to come back! My sister in law is pretty picky but absolutely loved this place! We will be back for sure!

When I find a design she says “ oh I can’t do that” “ oh that’s going to take to long”. Likeee what the hell! And she still charged me for just painting my toes instead of doing what I asked! will never go back to that place again!

Jennifer Royall: I’ve been to this salon twice now and had a good experience both times. I don’t ask for anything fancy; I prefer simple gel mani. Two people I work with separately recommended this salon after I complained about a poor experience somewhere else. I’m so glad I came! Their prices are posted inside and you can save 3% by paying with cash. I had different technicians on my two visits and had no communication issues whatsoever. Very peaceful atmosphere and music, too.

faith o: it was hard to understand with how heavy the people I spoke with's accents were when I first came in. I asked for a French tip pedicure, they said $22. I sat down, they never ran the water. I didn't get a foot soak, scrub, massage, anything. I wasn't offered any water or wine. She painted my nails with some low quality looking polish. Only the tips were painted and the rest was left raw, which looks horrible to see the bed of the nail. Most other places will do a nude/pink color base. At the end I was charged $25 instead of $22, which would be fine but I wish I never paid anything for this. It's been only 5 hours and it's already chipped without me doing anything rough to it.

Kylah M.: Didn't have the best experience with powder dip nails. My fingers were nipped quite a few times by the nail file/drill, the paint was brought up onto my cuticles, and there was a small hair embedded into the paint on my nail. I didn't notice until later and there can be a language barrier at times (which is no ones fault). Some honest mistakes but I still feel that my nails were not really checked to make sure they looked the best they could. However, I will say that the employees at Pretty Nails are very kind and I generally feel they try to do a good job and it is why I gave higher stars.

Eiman Newcomer: I usually don’t post reviews (especially negative ones) but I don’t want anyone else to waste their time or money at this place. I went in for dip powder on my natural nails and asked for tips on 2 of my nails that had broken. The woman told me they looked fine and proceeded not to put tips on. She also nicked my skin several times with the electric nail drill and didn’t seem to understand how that was painful. She would laugh every time I would pull my hand back. There was also a communication barrier as she could not say the price I owed at the end and instead had to write it down. Three of my nails broke within two days of getting them done and the dip powder is cracking off the other nails. I hope this helps someone who is on the fence about trying this place out.Service:Dip powder

J B: Went in on 3/11/22 my first time here. Had the dip powder with acrylic tips for added length. By Monday 3/14/22 one nail had completely popped off.......by the end of the week most had popped right off...one broke but as of today I’ve got 3 left. I honestly thought they’d last longer (like other times I’ve had it done elsewhere) especially paying $60+ for it.

Then the lady started failing my nails as hard as she could. Burning all my fingers. While she was saying short nails wouldn’t look pretty and that I had a kind of ditch in my nails so that’s why it hurt me. She also said my nails shape wasn’t going to look pretty and when I asked her to put new ones she said those were new and she was not going to change them. I thought I was going to find help in the manager but she agreed with the other woman and let me go. Saying besides that if I wanted to get nails done I have to wait. To see if I find a place. Me dijeron que tenía que esperar para ser atendido y así lo hice. Entonces la señora empezó a fallarme las uñas tan fuerte como podía. Quemándome todos los dedos. Mientras ella decía que las uñas cortas no se verían bonitas y que tenía una especie de zanja en las uñas, por eso me dolía. También dijo que la forma de mis uñas no se vería bonita y cuando le pedí que me pusiera unas nuevas me dijo que eran nuevas y que no las iba a cambiar. Pensé que iba a buscar ayuda en la gerente, pero ella estuvo de acuerdo con la otra mujer y me dejó ir. Diciendo además que si quería hacerme las uñas tengo que esperar. A ver si encuentro sitio. Se me hizo de muy mal gusto que ella tenía TOS muy frecuente y nunca uso tapabocas mientras me trabajaba. Segundo; pedí que me pusiera color mash mellow en mis uñas y como ella no lo encontró, se sentó y sin preguntarme o consultarme si yo quería otro color empezó a ponerme el color blanco SIN YO ACEPTARLO. ( como negociante ella debe de preguntar al cliente por educación por lo menos. Tercero; cuando me va a cortar las cutículas, saca un alicate de su gavetas SUCIO, al parecer con cutículas de otras clientas. A lo cual yo reaccione de inmediato y le pedí que porfavor lo limpiara o me buscara uno nuevo/ Limpio. Yo personalmente trabajo en departamento de la salud y esto es muy asqueroso ya que puede infectarle o pegarle cualquier enfermedad a una clienta con algún instrumento de uñas sucio. Highly Blessed: I had to change my 5 star review because this is not the first time that the lady in the second chair from the door was rude.Almost 100% sure that I won’t be back.She always has an attitude , she pulls and be rough with people’s hands, and she cuts cuticles way too much to the point where she’s cutting actually fingers and making them bleed .Don’t even get started with her messing up a nail and you ask her to fix it. She will get smart, speak in her language about you, and again, be rough with your hands. I hope that she doesn’t meet the wrong person one day.It’s not ok to have attitudes with people that is ultimately paying your bills.

The quality of my nails is just really well done. They also don't overcharge anymore than any other salons who do a lot less. Nail salons that give good QUALITY service are getting harder and harder to find. It makes such a difference in how the nails look over time depending on the service you receive when you get them done initially and the care the technician takes...I recently moved to this area, right by this salon, so I have been trying several different nail salons in the area. This is my favorite one I have been to as of yet, I have to say. If you're in this area and looking to get your nails done, come to this nail salon. They won't disappoint. I also got my lashes done after seeing another young lady come in to have hers filled in and seeing how nice her lashes looked. Kim was the technician who did my nails and my eyelashes. Ebony Mathews: I got my nails done here on Sunday. One broke yesterday so I stopped by after work to get it fixed. I waited for 20 mins and watched 4 ladies walk in without an appointment and be helped ahead of me. When the manager saw my frustration he came and asked who did my nails. I told him I didn’t remember but I just wanted it fixed and I was willing to pay. He then pointed out to the floor and asked what area I was in. I told him I was in the middle and he took me to the lady In the middle who said she didn’t do my nails. He asked again who did them. I told him again I didn’t remember and reiterated that I was willing to pay and I didn’t care who fixed it. He then sat me in a pedicure chair and walked away. I left right after he walked away. I guess the cost of a repair was not worth his time. I won’t be going back.

There are only a select few nail techs who know how to do nails. Their customer service is terrible, the man who is bald caught an attitude with me when I asked him to correct my nails. As a customer if I do not like something it is your job to fix it, especially when I am paying hard earned money. If anything he could just take the criticism as a way to improve his craft. I asked for square and all I ever heard from any of them were excuses ! When I was sat down for a pedicure, the tech did not not not to do the style I wanted and asked him even though I requested someone else, he asked if it was the black girl and refused. Again I did not want him to do my nails but to be that unprofessional?! There was only one customer and they told me I had to wait over an hour. Then, I asked to use the restroom. They said it was for employees only, which I never heard of. No graciousness or southern hospitality.I walked out and went to the Village District Nails (2028 Cameron Street), almost across the street. Lots of graciousness and friendly people. They even ask if you want water, soda, or wine. Lots of customers, no wait time, and 2 restrooms for the customers. Plus, no acetone smell.

Allison McLeod: During my manicure, the tech used a high abrasion nail file (meant for acrylic) on my natural nail. It cut through my cuticle which started bleeding, and and was EXTREMELY painful. My finger started bleeding immediately, she did not address the problem then continued to put lotions on the open cut. They did not apologize or offer any discount to the service. Never going back, I can't recommend this place.

I had never gotten SNS nails before, and they lasted beautifully the week until my wedding (and so far, another week after!) thank you!

But busy texting while she doing my nail.I decided to ask her what is her problem with me& told her she is very unhappy to see me every time I go there.I advise her to fix her behavior at the end and left her store forever.Your choice to be there, but accept the fact you might get disrespected paying money.I read a couple of reviews she don't like certain color or ethnicity???? Which is sad.Lady,just know everybody is equal as a human being & you will never know when you meet people again.Best in town?????I suggest to fix your personal behavior fist because people need to be treated fairly first.I can count salons did the best job in less than 5 min in this area that wont chip in 5 days.
