Sassafras All Children's Playground: what do users think?
Brian P: Too crowded!
mandesa smith: This playground is the best! There is so much to do! My child loves it!
Tina C: Very nice atmosphere, with lots of options for kids to choose from.
Jaret Nagel: This HUGE playground has it all, slides, swings, bunches of other things and zip lines!Plus there's a great walking path with some cool boardwalks through nature all around a wild pond.
Kathleen Reinbolt: Beautiful area.
Jared Hall: Used to go here as a kid when it was all made of wood. Now I get to take my kids to this park. They did a great job rebuilding it. Bring water with since there’s only one water fountain. The fountain does have a water bottle spout which is convenient.
Nelle Forte: The bat park ever i love it.
luis vasquez: Very nice place to visit. My son and I had a blast.
Holly Fowler: This is a HUGE and well planned playground. It is literally the best playground I've ever been to.
Jenni George: So much to do for kids of all ages!
Acadia Rose-Meyer: We love playing at this playground all the time! They have a lot of really nice play equipment and my son has a blast every time! He also likes to use the little puzzles, games, and text they have around the playground. We're hoping to have his birthday at this playground this year!
Chandler Caudle: Great place for kids to play
Danielle Reyner: This playground is SO fun! It’s big and caters to all ages, plus it has several structures that are unique, including the zip line which my children love.
Zach Rafferty: Great playground for kiddos!!
Holi Martinez: My four year old grandson had a great time here. We spent three hours making new friends and enjoying all of the obstacles, swings, sandbox, and zip lines. The park has waterfoutains and restrooms, which were very clean. We brought our own water and snacks. We will definitely be going again.
Harry Nicholos (Personal): Wonderful playground! Recently updated!
Renato Rodriguez: Best kids park I have ever been to
M B: The best playground in the triangle, IMO. Sandpit, lots of accessible slides and playground equipment for all ages. We’ve been coming here since my son was crawling, now he’s toddling all over the place! It certainly gets busy during peak hours and parking fills up, but it’s well worth the trip.
Erica Shaeffer: Such an amazing playground for kids of all ages and abilities. Lots of ramps for accessibility and grown ups to follow their little easily into the playground equipment.
Sheina Koretz: This is a wonderful place!
Raama Dev: The park is great, but the management needs to reign in vendors that sometimes parks their vans across the main public trails in pursuit of bigger audience and revenue, essentially restricting access to the playground for families that come with some equipment/ toys/ large strollers etc.

Longstreet Park: what do users think?
Michael L. Roberts: was fun for boys, but teens were hanging out making it uncomfortable.
Seth Buckley: A nicely shaded, well-maintained park on the corner.
Myriam Susana Puente Jara: Un sitio tranquilo para pasar un buen tiempo con los pequeños.🎊 🌻👌☘️🍀🎸
charles cerami: Nice park children will enjoy.
Kim Ryan: Nice little park
Vi'Viann Wilson: Peaceful
Brianna Joines: This little park is adorable, well maintained and great for kids of all ages!
Robert Joines: Great little park. My boys (ages 4, 2) had a blast! Park was clean and everything was in bloom. Plan to park on the street.Playground: Yes Public restrooms: No Off-leash dog area: No Picnic tables: Yes Barbecue grills: No …More
Marcus Hood: Nice little park for smaller kids to play safely
Zenia Martinez: Me encanta es muy armonico para los niños.
Sean Walker: Cute little neighborhood playground with two playsets, one for the younger kids and one for the older kids.
Fawn Carter: Too close to the road with no gate for small children. If you have small children or a child developmental delays this park may not be suitable for them. The equipment is nice and this area needs more little community playgrounds like this however it sits very close to the road. I understand that the location can't always be helped but they could easily install a self closing gate to prevent small children from darting into the road. The side of the park that faces Stuart Dr is a little safer because of the retaining wall and stairs but the opening in the fence on the Longstreet Dr side is steps from the base of a slide and a child could easily be in the road within seconds of leaving the park. Young kids aren't always safety conscience when running and playing and can forget to check their surroundings. If they can be off of playground equipment and in the street within 10 steps that's dangerous. For many kids, I'm sure this isn't an issue however the signs for this playground clearly state that the equipment is suitable for kids as young as 2. Longstreet itself has no stop sign on this corner and even though the speed limit is 25mph most drivers go well above that limit. It's a nice little park, but if you have concerns about your child being safe near a busy road then this isn't the park for them.
ViVi Wilson: Nice play area
Dan Thompson: Cute little corner neighborhood park. No bathroom building of course. Has a larger playground and a smaller playground for different ages. Has a corner sandbox with excavator diggers. Has a fence around the whole area which is very nice and safer. The playground structure is creative and nice though, kinda cool. Has different creative ways to climb up and a big mountain rock climbing area. It’s kinda like two playgrounds connected by a bridge in the middle.
Sara Scanlon: Super cute park in a safe neighborhood!
Juan Carlos Sanchez: Nice safe children's park
Mrs. Parker 2u: Cute for the little ones. Nice and quite place for the kids. Its also gated too.
Abbas EyeApple: We have so much fun in this little tucked away park.
Katy Parker: Sandbox, swing set, 2 picnic tables, and play sets for many ages. Not a huge park. Great neighborhood spot. On busy road.
Nilda “Nykky” López: Nice to be with the kids. Or just for a relax moment.
Mary Billings: Little park right on the corner

Mordecai Mini Park: what do users think?
Hayley Sullivan: Love this park. Perfect fenced in park with lots of sand. Has some shade and two sections of play equipment.
Jonathan Griffin: Fun place for kids.
Dan Thompson: Really neat little park right on a street block corner. All fenced in, and two different levels between a little kids playground area and a bigger kids playground. The main thing different about this playground is that the whole entire area is covered in SAND! Makes everything nice n soft to walk on. Many other neat things different here, stepping stones to walk on, hopscotch versions, tunnels, landscaping, sand toys, birdhouses, etc. Just a really neat and different playground for little kids. 😁👍👍
Edgar Borrero: Nice children's playground. Clean and we'll maintained
Mike Folan: Needs more everything but it's nice and I'll go back. Everyone who I have met there haven't creeped me out which is nice. If you haven't tried it you should.
Quan Mial: A wonderful nice place for you to come to bring your child
Amanda Citron Holder: Great playground for littles.
Phil Anderson: Nice mini park
R paulino: It's a small place to walk with your dog or enjoy with your love one ❤️. Nice and small, there's small benches to sit and lay back for some fresh air.
Jonathan: Cute little park in a beautiful neighborhood. All of the equipment was well maintained. My daughters age 2 & 1 had a blast. The park was extremely clean.
Chika Gujarathi: Lovely neighborhood park. Sand under majority of the equipment. Has swings.
Matthew Williams: This is one of my top 3 favorite parks. Has several slides (my sons favorite) and it has a fence all the way around it to keep the kids in.
unicornbetrayal: Lake wenatchee??
Howard Romaine: children's park recently re-opened, with a good number of children, daily, mostly toddlers with MOM's and some Dad's.
Ryan Macy: This is such a great little park! My son is three and adventurous, and loved all the stuff to climb and explore (he especially loved the digging scoop with control handles). I loved how many natural elements were incorporated. It's a great spot for younger kids to play freely, and it's completely fenced, so I didn't have to worry about him sprinting away while I tended to his younger sister.
Jon D: Nice quaint spot in a nice quaint neighborhood. My kids love this spot.
Chris Schaves: Great little park for my kiddos. All sand, which they loved!
k math: Great and shady park only downfall is there arent any restrooms
Just Breathe: Loved it here. My daughter made friends.
Mohamed Masharka: Very fun
Griselda Dominguez: Bueno

Junious N. Sorrell Park: what do users think?
Nazmul Ehsan: Small and clean nice park for children.
Nicole Briscoe: Kids loved it
Peggy Robinson: I love walking my dog there.
Robert O'Connell: Great Park great Park and I love the giant umbrellas over there playground
Dina Alkurdi: Good and clean place
Diana Lendian: Does need a bathroom
Steph W: Quiet, clean, fun, but no shaded seating, and no nearby restrooms.
Dan Thompson: Cute little playground! Looks almost brand new! Modern playground equipment with multiple creative ways to climb up to the higher level. Our three-year-old loved racing his cars down the twisty slide. 🤣👍 There’s also a second playground for babies and tiny ones. A beautiful little neighborhood playground. 😁👍
Bruce Purvis: Gre3
timikqua carrington: I love the fact that there is NO sand
Lori Aboulmouna: Small park with great history! City should clean it more.
Tyler Downing: Place to relax with a bit of privacy.
Ben Pitzel: Great for little ones, tucked in, gated and clean! My toddler had a blast!
Yoselin medina: Esta muy bonito
Jessica Lyon: Great park for toddlers 👍
Kyle Keaton: Beautiful well maintained park. A very nice playground.
Michelle chimal: Greet and relaxing
Lisa Jennings: My kids lived it
Martie Morris: A small, modern, fenced-in corner park with play equipment marked for ages 2 to 5 yrs old & 5-12.
Alison Smitley: My family stumbled upon this park while on the 2018 Tour D'Coop — otherwise it's pretty hidden back in the South Park neighborhood and would probably be hard to notice. It was remodeled in the last year and has a wonderful variety of equipment for ages 2–12. The older kids area is shaded with canopies (the small play set isn't shaded). There is a nice grassy area at the edge of the park that was heavily shaded in the early morning. The whole playground is enclosed by chain link fence with two gates. It was very clean on our visit. I like that the equipment is quite unique and we plan to visit again! Parking is just on the street next to the park (on a corner lot) and there aren't bathrooms, but there is a water fountain.

Lockwood Park: what do users think?
Nicholas Davenport: Very random is doing better, but the park and the area are very nice!
Mary Beth Stewart: I like the swings
Emmalee Northern: Good clean park, very little shade. Not a good playground for hot sunny days. Lots of stuff for a toddler to do and stay entertained
jose arlyn bonilla banegas: Muy bonito limpio y muy bueno para caminar al aire libre

Dan Thompson: Cute little neighborhood playground with a huge sandbox area, right on the Greenway! It’s got a double racer slide, a twisty slide, and two rock-climbing structures. Cool playground!

Ray Feath: Good parking. Trails.
Ale Vega: Hermoso
Franklin Jones: Great place for the kids to play.
Boss: Very nice park near the woods with new equipment. The place is mostly quiet with little people.
Jonathan Brown-King: Place is a good spot for the kids or adults. Looks relaxing and the neighborhood is very well illuminated at night. The park is right beside the Greenway though so you could run into a lot of foot and bike traffic from anything else to (roller blades, skateboards, scooters)
Bruce Womack: Nice and quiet
Marty R Griffin: Im just looking for some friends here in Raleigh. The people are nice so far i love it here. Would like to know where to meet people at real friends?
James Lassiter: Great place to spend time with the family
Craig Johnson: Great little park tucked away on the Greenway.
Betty Capers: It was great
Alison Smitley: Nice neighborhood park with newer, unique equipment. Even though my toddler is too young to play on this, he still enjoys walking around the play area and checking out the plastic boulders, playing in the sandbox area with the handheld scoopers, and running in the grass. The park is surrounded by a gated chain link fence, and one gate opens onto the greenway. There are also a couple of picnic tables. Plenty of street parking is available next to the park, and there is a working water fountain.

John Chavis Memorial Park: what do users think?
LaToshia Jordan: We drove 40 plus minutes to this park , well worth the fun had. Love the playground openess and the seating around it. Splash pad was fun !
Charon Jones: Venue space was very nice for my friends birthday
thomas stafford: I like the gym they have. It's very affordablePlayground: Is great for childrenRestrooms: Is clean
Connie DiPietrantonio: Nice park, some equipment in the 2-5 children area needs some instruments repaired, but likely it's hard to prevent off hours vandalism. The biggest disappointment was the carousel ride only being open on Su, Tu, W. May grandkids always come TH, F, Sa and leave early Su, so we can never go. 😞
Dorothy Adams: I enjoyed every minute of it
M. Lawlor: Great park with a splash pad for the kids. able to bike to the park using the Greenway network.
Nicole Briscoe: My kids loved it especially the park …but some kids summer camps we’re a bit pushy and meanPlayground: Was okay just had a lot of summer camp kids who were pushy and mean
M Kiser: This place has it all. A carousel, though I've yet to see it open. A splash pad with shaded seats for onlookers. A toddlers play ground and a bigger kids area along with a few outdoor exercise stations for adults. It's fantastic.
Angela Brock: Lot of improvements have been made to Chavis park since I was there last. The track, playground area, a splash pad has been added, and the actual Center itself is amazingly big on the inside. The community really should be proud of how the park has been transformed. The Merry go Round is still there and operating!! 2$ is the price of the rides. My twins were 3 when they use to ride and the price wasn't that much then. They are 34 now with teenagers theirself. 20 thumbs up John Chavis Memorial Park for looking out for our Children!!!!Playground: Yes, beautifulRestrooms: PlentyDog-friendliness: Not really, there is not a designated area for dog, although plenty of walking for them off the track.Picnic area: I didn't see any, but I'm sure that somewhere in that large park area
Kelly Collins: Splash pad and community center are fantastic!
Pearly D Love: Perfect spot for the kids
IAMKJB: We used the Carousel House for a retirement celebration. This is a beautiful location and I'd highly recommend it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 ⭐️ is because staff "checked in on us more than usual, and it was awkward.
Yolanda Perez: This place is so amazing becuase it has a gym, track, basketball courts, and a huge playground for kids that is actually fun. Oh and a splash pad.
Aspyn Andrea Maher: Too much garbage out on splash pad!! Clean up there are kids out there people.
Shop Anangorium: My kids love this playground. A nice family spot. Nice place for parents to sit and watch their kids enjoy being kids.
Ciera Shannon: Beautiful Park ! Our kids really enjoyed the splash pad. The playground is very modern and up to date. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be returning.
George Bellomo: Not enough shade. Great looking play structure though.
Pamela Lynn: It have improved a lot over the years. I love what they did to it❤️
Colleen Kehoe: Fantastic park!!!! Big splash pad- wish there was more shaded seating for parentsPlayground: Wonderful!!! Best for older kids maybe 7 and up?
Joshua Parker: Playground: Separate playgrounds for small kids and big kids. Climbing, swings, slides, splash zone. Really cool.
Sawyer Campbell: Very clean and respectable park. No riff raff, perfect for a day out in the sun with kiddos.

Strickland Road Neighborhood Park: what do users think?
Z N: Small neighborhood playground, with slides and swings. It has a toddler area for smaller aged children. It also has a sand box for kids to play in. Each time we've went, it wasn't crowded. Nicely kept and clean. Good for a visit if you are in the area.
#TeamCooke Qbc: Nice
Jeff Philips: I have seen better.
Sandi Prunty: Great park. 2-4 and 5-8 age appropriate play areas. The sandbox is large and "clean." They have swings for babies and big kids too. It has everything you'd expect. We've only explored a small part of the path around the lake.
Taras Legar: Good park ,there are a lake and paths for walking playground
Sara Miller: Amazing park for toddlers and young kids to play safely!
Erica Reynolds: Perfect place for youngsters to play and adults can chill in the shade 😎 👍🏻👌🏻
Diana Gutiérrez: Shade for hot days. Porta potty available.
Lindsay Perry: Shaded playground plus beautiful pond in the forest, lovely place!
Cindy Puetzer: What a sweet little park with a playground for young children and walking paths through the woods that lead to two different ponds
Edward Urdaneta: No restrooms. However the large port-a-potty is usually extremely clean, and well stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The Nature trail seems a bit short, and it leads through practically backyards of several houses nearby, which can seem a bit trespassy. Noticed couple drones flying through the tree line, not sure if private owned/nosy-neighbors or city owned/surveillance/security. Cool playground area for the little ones, with rubberized soil instead of plain dirt, and a few picnic tables about on the edge of woods. Ponds on either side, calming sound of water, and also neat to listen to frogs at near dusk. Otherwise quiet and neatly tucked away, never knew it was there until I noticed a car turning in one afternoon. Cool spot all around
Eileen Walsh: Love walking my dog on the little trails. All the little trails combined probably are only about 1 mile or less. 2 nice ponds. Quiet and never crowded.
Cody Lagana: Great little park for the kids
Clifton Harper: Nice children's park in need of some clean up/refresh.
Kassandra Bosley: No bathrooms!!!
kook cho: good for children playground
Scott Callicutt: The toddler playground is awesome.
Maureen Higgins: We love this park - it's got some great elements that would make me choose it over alternatives. There are swings, a sand pit, slides, areas for different aged kids, a forest with ponds to explore, porta pottys, trash cans and plenty of seating for the adults. Beautiful playground :)
Ronnie Jardine: Nice park for kids
joshua williams: Good area... clean which is important when considering a park
Jason Adams: Great playground & nature trail!

Mary Belle Pate Park: what do users think?
Alisa Nash: Nice park. Had my grandson birthday party here.. I also take him and walk my dog there as well...
Toma Antilles: Cute park, lots of people come here to enjoy the park. Ate lunch here and played on the playground. A fun spinning device for kids is here.
Alisa South: I've been here a few times recently and the people who comes here who stay in the neighborhood need to start taking better care of the park be leaving food and trash all over the sitting area lease learn to clean up after yourselves and keep the community cleanPicnic area: The picnic area needs to be cleaned up after your use don't party there and leave it filthy for the next set of people very disturbing 😞
Nathalia Braga: It’s a good playground but the picnic area is dirty and stinky
Sabrina Sweeting: Not child friendly which is a shame because the actual park toys are great, we are visiting and took my family there… we left within 10 mins, adults yelling, people sitting on top of each other making out, people drinking, TRASH EVERYWHERE I mean I’ve never seen anything like it. Children stacked up at the end of slide not letting kids go down cause they are on phones distracted, grown adults lounging in the playground where my child couldn’t even go down the slide.. It was crazy. Don’t bring your kids. To the people who manage the park….get a new job that you don’t hate or actually come clean it up because I have no words. It was not safe.
Iesha Pagan: Great location for a small gathering with children. Clean and modern.
Tenesha Relford: This park would be ok for kids under 4. There's no swings.
Hayley Sullivan: Good little neighborhood park. Looks new, clean and modern
Kristen Bailey: Doesn't have swings. My 3 year old loves going down all the big slides at other parks but there was no way for her to get up to the big slides. This park would be better for bigger kids maybe 7-10.
Nazmul Ehsan: Its a new park. My children really like the park. Quite place.
Gerald Roderick: Nice park good shelter and picnic tables.
Dan Thompson: Coolest, most modern, fun, creative small playground area in all of Raleigh!!! Loved it here! Such a cool blend of modern playground equipment and the spider-web rope climbing features! Never seen anything quite like it but maybe at a couple other playgrounds. Looks to be almost brand new too! The picnic shelter is awesome-looking and a modern design as well. Simply a well-thought-out, well-designed new park and playground! Has a second smaller sized playground for the 1-2 year olds as well. One of the Top Ten Playgrounds in Raleigh! 😁👍👍
Jesse little: Very quaint and relaxing park, it is keep clean and has a nice grilling area, basketball court, with a small walking circle.
timikqua carrington: NO SAND‼️‼️
Sherry Rosser: Clean, well maintained, great place for gatherings while being distanced, excellent place for kiddos, fabulous walking trails!
Thats It Thats All: Fun place for children
Jennifer Martinez: Mary Belle Pate Park is a wonderful park. It's small enough you will not loose your child in a maze and mound of equipment yet big enough for pre-school - elementary school age students will enjoy. I love the fact that there are public restrooms and a covered area to sit and get out of the sun, or enjoy a quick sip of water and grab a snack. Unfortunately in recent visits I have had a less than positive experience. During my last two visits the bathrooms were not accessible - they had been locked. I would assume this has something to do with the huge dent in the door and possibly the post I read prior to writing this one, regarding vandalism. Our past two visits to this park were cut short due to a group of older kids. Aprox 5 -8 older children, maybe middle school age and/or highschool age were behaving extremely inappropriately. They were bouncing on the equipment in a way that it is not intended to be used. . My number one complaint and the reason I left the park earlier than I had intended was their use of language. From F Bombs to B words and a P word. These kids hit the foul mouth jackpot and took home a gold medal. Every five minutes one of the children loudly pronounced words that no parent wants their young child learning. There was no where on the park equipment or the playground area they could not be heard shouting unwanted language. I did not see any of the older kids parents at the park (most of them were old enough they did not need to be accompanied by an adult) otherwise I would have asked a parent to speak to them. At one point I asked them politely to stop shouting profanity but that went in one ear and out the other. It's a beautiful park. It's too bad you can't bring your young children there without being exposed to inappropriate language.
Nathan Tidd: Nice park in a convenient spot for walking to/from, though strange that they chain up the basketball hoops.
Latisha Bain: I loved this park when we went there. I will definitely take my kids back there soon.
Onsilius Nobloc: I'm going to give this a 5 for location and amenities. It's fantastic. I love that they made this here with bathrooms. However, there is a crazy person / drugee problem with vandalism. Burnt towels, sinks and premises filled with mud and pulled up weeds. I've never seen a worse treated facility, and it's brand new! Such a shame.
Tina Nagel: My grandkids love this park
