Nottasteful. Overpriced.
Lexi Veon: The arepas and french fries were very good! The service was fast and friendly.Kid-friendliness: I got chicken nuggets and french fries for my kid.Parking: On a Sunday afternoon the parking lot was quite full.

Rachael Ritter: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes EmpanadasMore

Guasaca Arepa & Salsa Grill: what do users think?
Risa Dee (Aria): Conveniently located near Rex hospital and the many provider offices around the area.Ordered the half-grilled strawberry salad and shredded chicken arepa combo. It was very good. The arepa is not too thick, so I can really taste the meat, pinto beans, plus the jalapeño sauce. Next time, I'll hold off on the chicken or protein on the strawberry salad. It's fine by itself with all the nuts and apples with the balsamic vinegar.
William Delcarmen: Great food as always but seems like they recently went up on their pricing. The echo is crazy loud.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More

BD: When visiting this establishment, I recommend carefully reviewing your bill each time. Unfortunately, I had an experience where I was overcharged for an item I did not order. It was also disappointing that they didn't clarify the additional cost for guacamole, especially considering the restaurant's name is Guasaca. Consider holding your tip until you have received your service.
G V Debnam: My friend introduced me to Guasaca and this was our 2nd visit together. I enjoyed the chicken arepas! He always insists on fettung a side of Guasaca. I'll be back and may bring my nephew.Parking: Going at the peak of lunch time typically means some extra time to find a parking spot but that's because there are some many restaurants and businesses right there together.

Scott Hutcheson: Wife and I visited for the first time in a few years. It used to be delicious, but this time it was very different. We went in around 5:30pm on a Tuesday and the food all tasted old. My wife and I ordered the fried chicken arepas and the "fried chicken" was just breading, there was literally no chicken in the breading. The arepas did not taste fresh. They did make my wife a new fried chicken arepa, but I had already eaten mine before I discovered what I was eating. I also had the grilled chicken, but it tasted like it had been sitting around for awhile. It was extremely disappointing.
Kent Wetherhold: My wife and I were looking for a simple, quick lunch. We love Mexican and they were on our way. Plenty of parking with easy access. Service was quick and the Arepas were excellent. Been there twice and we'll be going again soon. Highly recommend.
Poeta Oscuro: White lady was racist and pretend she didn’t understand my English. She would also charge more if I ask for just one more green sauce, a problem I didn’t have before with anyone else working there. Great food, bad service.
Heath Buckmaster: One of the best fast food meals in a long time. Strong and bold flavours and fast friendly service. We had the chicken and steak arepas which were fantastic but the highlight is their guacamole. Delicious.Recommended dishes Chicken Arepa, Vegetarian Includes Guasaca …More

Jordan Cao: Consistently delicious. A good option for lunch during the work day. Food is tasty and ingredients are fresh. I've not had a bad meal here. I have had to wait a couple times for them to cook whatever protein because they ran out on the serving station, but they do tend to be quick enough when they happens. It can get a little noisy if it's really crowded.

Gonza Tacos y Tequila: what do users think?
Nathan Rice: Says it's open online. Drove 30 minutes to get here for lunch with a friend and it was closed.Management needs to take the 5 seconds to update that so this doesn't continue to happen to other people.
Brendan somethingorother: Absolutely great experience with the bartender. If you see Spencer there ask him for a margarita, he'll hook you up.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chips, Extra Chips and Salsa …More
Egg John: Gonza is my happy place! The servers are always so attentive and friendly. My favorite meal has to be the chilequiles rojo. Thank you to my server Emily for the recommendation! Angelica Ramkellawan: I have been going to Gonza for years now and this location stands out to me. Had a great dinner and our server, Heather, was amazing and super accommodating. I recommend going by and trying out the queso too! Cheers!Recommended dishes Refried Beans, Chilaquiles Verdes …More
Robert Mitchener: During the school year Gonza is usually mobbed; but, between semesters in the summer you can usually get in without a reservation.I definitely recommend making this a spot to stop. Gonza Tacos y Tequila has a fantastic tequila menu with some wonderful cocktails. The cocktail menu is limited, but they are all delicious and all the purees are made in house.Jackson our bartender was fantastic making sure we got a good selection of custom craft cocktails! I did get Margarita de la Casa strawberry plus a blended strawberry and passionfruit. They were both fantastic.Megan is also wonderful and very friendly. Making us feel at home. I got a smorgasbord of food including: Chips and Queso, Chips and Guac, Mexican flag, Tamales, coconut flan, churros, and talega. The tamales were amazing and the best item I've had at Gonza so far. The telaga was also amazing, the menu mentions cheese but to be clear it's cream cheese. The flavor is very approachable. If you happen to have an opportunity make sure you stop into Gonza as it's entirely with it.Parking: Depending on the hour parking can be free, but it's mostly street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp on the left side of the restaurant which you can get up into with a wheelchair. The place can accommodate the chair with some low top tables.
Jerry W: College town place, good quesadilla and tacos. Sweet cocktails were a little too sweet.
Taylor Dodgin: Parking: I picked up dinner togo at the downtown Raleigh location. I called to place my order and the sweetest hostess answered the phone, making sure to double check my order each step of the way. Hillsborough Street can be hectic at times but there is almost always a parking spot located behind the building - the lot is shared with the Aloft hotel.
Emily Kim: Environment and food was amazing! Highly recommend to have reservation for weekend! Server was nice too!Recommended dishes Nachos Gabachos …More
Rachel Adam: got the chicken tacos which came with a side salad (wasn’t really expecting much out of the salad tbh) but it ended up being my favorite part of the meal! it was so, so, so delicious - loved the fruity, tangy tropical dressing drizzled on top of it! i think it was a mix of pineapple and mango? and our waitress was attentive and was friendly! and, of course, tacos are always amazing! loved the pico, and the tortilla shells were pretty stuffed.
Stacy Lovdahl: The salmon special with smashed plantains and passionfruit sauce was delicious.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Estefania negretval: Such amazing drinks I love the margarita passion fruit. The waitress pretty girl and also excellent talker. Erin Glosser: Great little downtown spot. The food is consistently good and the service is attentive but not overly so. The house margarita is a good price for your basic margarita no frills and a straightforward menu. The Mexican Flag is my favorite dish, as you get a little bit of everything taste wise and the fajitas are great as well.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Mexican Flag …More

Noelia Bautista: I liked the service is very fast. I ordered ham and cheese, caprese, al limón and beef also chimichurri and that is the only thing I did not like in my opinion, the chimichurri should be an accompaniment to the empanada not an extra. The empanadas should be of the original way of empanadas, I felt the empanadas that they don’t have the original way are smaller but the flavor is really good

jesse proctor: Well done authentic Argentinian empanada (You would have to visit quite a few shops in Argentina to find a empanada this tasty). Crust is light and flaky. Fillings are moist and delicious. Having taken a bite of over half of the savory menu items I didn’t find an empanada that I didn’t like. But the Al pastor, the pork, the potato knish and the spinach were my favorite. Enjoy.

Terrika Irvin: Service was good, but empanadas not so much. I ordered sweet corn, chicken, and pork chimichurri. No distinctive flavor difference other than clearly you could tell when you were eating the sweet corn empanada. The chicken and pork chimichurri didn’t have much flavor either so nothing to boast about in my opinion and for almost $4/each I expected way better
John Burke: Friendly service and good - but not great - empanadas. Reasonably priced for the area.

Heather (luxamari): Delicious! I look forward to these every time we come to the food hall and I have on occasion ordered them delivered through Postmates. They have great vegetarian options such as the spinach, onion and corn empanadas and their rice and beans. They even have a vegan one! The crunch ratio between the dough and the filling are exactly what I love about empanadas. I usually have about 3 of them when I come as they are on the smaller side.Vegetarian options: They have great vegetarian options such as the spinach, onion and corn empanadas and their rice and beans. thiara massaccesi: My experience was amazing! The jam and cheese empanada is the best. I like too the meat one. The service was spectacular, and the employers were polite and helpful with us. And something to add is that the place is comfortable and nice. Highly recommended.
Martina Costales: i’ve eaten most of them, they were delicious!
Leticia Suarez Muñoz: Yummy!!!!
William McPherson: Awesome empanadas.
G. Jaramillo: The only Argentinian thing about this place is the chimichurri which is actually good. I've tried Argentinan empanadas in NYC, NJ and in Buenos Aires and these are extremely disappointing. They taste nothing like Argentinian empanadas and they are super small for the $3.15 that each cost. Not worth it, spend your money else where.
Luis Muñoz: Too slow

Alexander: Wonderful quick serve Cuban place. The arepas were amazing and they had nice sides of sweet plantains and black eye peas. Augster O: This place is really cool. It’s the same as “other” places, but not burritos. Arepas. Arepas are smaller and made of, like, cornbread. We tried nearly every arepas in our group. Everything was great. The chips are good also. The salsa they give you with the chips is sweet, instead of spicy. That was odd. I liked it, but it’ll take some getting used to.I really loved the arepas I had and would gladly go back.Plenty of indoor seating. They also have outdoor seating.
Bruce Gibson: Do not plan on ordering and eating food in the restaurant. The counter service is horrible! You have to stand in line (even if you are the only customer there) while they prepare all the to-go orders. This evening I was the only customer in the whole restaurant and waited 10 minutes. That is not acceptable. I live next door but will not be back.
Linda Endow Hall: We decided on a night out to eat dinner, and my son and daughter-in-law chose Guasaca because I LOVE ethnic food. The choices of arepas could meet ANY dieters' needs. The service was fast, and the food was reasonably priced and delicious! Gracias, Guasaca!Vegetarian options: The menu includes vegan and vegetarian options.

Myles Ballestracci: Best bowl in town! Ingredients taste fresher than Chipotle. The 4 star for atmosphere is due to chairs not having pads on the bottom. Every time a chair is moved it makes a really grating noise.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Shredded Chicken …More
Swick Jeff: it's pre-cooked and assembly line so you get what protein and toppings you want. reasonably priced...Vegetarian options: veggie arepa... salads
Alex Jackson: Decor reminds me of tin drum if you know that chain. Would was respectfully decent only got a lower rating because it decreased in quality from before the pandemic. Guac wasn't as fresh. But the staff was amazing.Kid-friendliness: I have 2 under 4. they needed seating ( high chairs) and Guasaca provided

Shriya Amit: Ordered a shredded chicken bowl and their signature avocado arepa - both were totally bland and didn’t satisfy my taste buds even after adding some hot sauce. The corn bread pockets were warm but were a little undercooked. Shredded chicken also didn’t meet the expectations. Im not sure if I’d come back to try other items anytime soon.
Abby Farnsworth: I LOVE this place! I drive so far out of my way just to get the arepas and salsa. I wish there were more locations!Kid-friendliness: This is my son's favorite restaurant!
Stephane Henrion: Great food at a great price. I highly recommend the plantains!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Grilled Chicken Bowl, Cilantro Sauce …More
Tiger Hebert: The arepas are so good!
James Fouts: Great find. Hadn’t tried arepas before. Stopped in here due to the reviews and it did not disappoint. It was a Saturday afternoon and you could tell they stay pretty steady, even with the location not being in a busy shopping area like Park West. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted by the friendly employee at the counter. He let us know their tops sellers and made some recommendations. I went with the grilled chicken arepa and my wife had the steak bowl. They were both fantastic and well worth the price. This will now be in our usual rotation for lunch and dinner.
Mae Golden: Guasaca never disappoints. Their arepas are always delicious and the staff is so helpful and friendlyDietary restrictions: Gluten free options available
