Lather Hair Salon: what do users think?
Holly: I saw Katie Black for a highlight/low light as I had grown out roots and was looking for some dimension. She is a dimension specialist and did an amazing job. Our consultation was easygoing and she didnt hesitate to provide a great solution for me. She is my go to girl moving forward. She is kind and very efficient with her time and skill. So grateful to have found her and highly recommend her to anyone.
Michael Willis: Katie was so professional! It was reassuring having a stylist who is so knowledgeable in her field! Her quality and attention to detail allowed her to make my haircut perfect for my demanding expectations of performance. David went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and I am throughly happy with their customer service. I’ve been to all the top salons in the area and often explore new venues to recommend to my luxury clientele. This will be my go to recommendation from now on! Great job guys keep it up.
Katie Hopkins: Charlene did a perfect job with my blonde highlights and cut! She is very talented and personable. You’ll be happy with her!Services:Hairstyling,Hair highlighting
Greyson Nelson: I got a haircut here today and its not what I asked for, the lady that cut my hair didn’t stop to ask once if it was looking good. It wasn’t till she was done that I saw that my hair looks like someone just went and just chopped away, the sides look fine but the top she cut way shorter then I asked I would have said something if I could actually see myself in the mirror during the process but I was put at a angle where i couldn’t see. Just dont come here if you are a dude looking for a cut, i mean you’ll definitely get cut alright.Service:Haircut
Syed Hassan: David is honestly the best barber I have come across! His experience and his memory is amazing!!
Cherie Hatley: This team is exceptional! They have a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and it is so much fun!I have to give a special shout out to Katie. I had stopped working with a stylist months before, so I came in with 3 months of untrimmed hair. I also had an idea of what I wanted and showed her pictures from my past. She reviewed and delivered EXACTLY what I was looking for. I am looking forward to many future collaborations with this artist! I am extremely happy with what she provided! You owe it to yourself to visit these folks and look forward the most beautiful you!Services:Haircut,Hairstyling,Hair highlighting,Hair coloring,Balayage
Meredith: Scheduled a hair appointment with Katie Black and it was lovely. I will be returning again for this exact cut! :) Thank you Katie!
Eleanor Sibal: I got a too-short haircut at another salon, my usual, but my stylist didn't understand what I wanted and proceeded to give me a haircut about 1.5 inches shorter than I wanted when trying to fix it. I made an appointment with Charlene W. at Lather Salon, and she was sooooooo amazing. I told her what happened and said what I wanted (same words as to the other stylist) and she knew exactly what was up. Charlene fixed my hair and I LOVE MY HAIR NOW. She's definitely my new stylist. The reason there is 1 star off is because the last time I made an appointment at Lather, it was in 2018. I was rescheduled not once, but twice. So I thought, never again. I'm glad I was desperate to try Lather again. But only Charlene from now on. THANK YOU, Charlene!!!!Service:Haircut
Mary Ann Styons: Charlene did an excellent job coloring and trimming my hair! Plus, she even gave me a glass of wine! Wonderful experience. I highly recommend!Service:Hair coloring
Michelle Williams: I found Lather Hair Salon from rave reviews off of Nextdoor in my neighborhood. I was searching for a salon close to my home in Brier Creek. After review of their well done website, I scheduled with Katie. The staff was welcoming and the salon is cozy. It was evident staff have fun working together! Katie did an excellent job consulting with me and I felt she listened and understood my requests. Katie was patient and gentle with my hair which is thin and straight. I needed color and added in a cut while I was there which Katie was able to accommodate. I'm a senior and have had lots of salon appointments over time and I was most pleased with Katie's work. My color was spot on and my cut was detailed. My hair feels good even after several home washes. This salon is a hidden gem right off of Glenwood Ave close to Brier Creek. You can easily book from the Vagaro app which I like as I plan out my appointments for the year in advance. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!Services:Haircut,Hairstyling,Hair coloring,Eyelash extensions
Lawrence Cole: Great LGBTQ friendly salon, everyone is very friendly and welcoming!
Noelle T.: Found Cassie Jo through her amazing social media pictures and was able to talk with her about my wants and realistic achievable goals. She knows her stuff and I keep going back. I get compliments on my hair color daily and have already sent my sister to her as a referral. The Salon itself is wonderful, the staff is always warm and checks in on you during your service. They don't try to upsell you anything and they have a great environment.
Jenny Taylor: Jessica is amazing. She has been transforming my hair since I started working with her years ago. Not only is she an amazing artist and designer...she also an an amazing human. The whole Lather staff is professional, nice and just good people. I happily give them 5-stars. I have NEVER left disappointed or feeling like I was the only customer they had. Great job.
Kristin Sickau: I was looking for a new salon after moving to Raleigh, and Lather has been amazing! I’ve been in twice with Cassie Jo and she is super kind and has great attention to detail. Would recommend!
Chelsea Hunter: I had the BEST experience with David! He suggested doing a cut, and showed me how to style my hair for a disco party coming up. 10/10 would recommend!Services:Haircut,Hairstyling
Abeer Habib: My daughter went to this salon. They did an amazing hair color. The right blue color that she wants. I highly recommend this salon. They are professionalService:Hair coloring
Allison Panavich: I have been going to Lather Hair Salon for many years, and I always leave with a smile on my face. The entire staff is top notch - professional, personable, and extremely talented. Jessica always does an excellent job keeping my hair healthy and looking fresh!I would highly recommend Lather Hair Salon. You will not be disappointed!Services:Haircut,Hairstyling,Hair coloring
Jessica Leitch: I moved here from California back in 2016 and I've been struggling for years to find a great stylist. I had my stylist in CA for 15 years that was phenomenal and knew my hair. I have fine hair but a lot of of it. Most of the stylist didn't put enough highlights in and cut it as if it was fine and THIN, which it's not. Well I came across Jessica at Lather just by google and my luck turned around. She does a great cut and color (a hard combo) and she trains others as well! She really knows what she's doing!!The salon isn't anything fancy, but the fancy salons didn't have a Jessica!
Kelsey Balcer: I love this salon! Jess is a hair wizard! She does an amazing job hiliting my hair. I’ve been going there over a year and I walk out feeling/ looking amazing every time. The salon is clean and super friendly. Highly recommend lather hair and Jess!Services:Hairstyling,Hair highlighting
Daniella Ognibene: Lather is without a doubt the best salon in the area! Jess is such a talented stylist (and an amazing person!) She really cares about making her clients happy and ensuring they're always satisfied before they leave. My blonde hair looks perfect each and every time I sit in her chair. Wouldn't go anywhere else!Services:Haircut,Hairstyling,Hair highlighting
Caitlyn Whitson: I have been going to lather salon for almost 10 years, and I've been seeing Jess for the past 3 at least. Jess always starts on time, I've never had to reschedule, and she's always been able to accomplish the goal I'm looking for with my hair. I'm a natural dirty blonde (with fairly thin hair) and I like to keep it an icy blonde: Jess has been able to maintain my hair and gives me excellent recommendations for in-salon hair treatments and products for home use. Jess also cuts my 8 year old daughter's hair and my daughter is always super happy with her cut. I can't recommend Lather Hair Salon and Jess enough!Services:Haircut,Hair highlighting,Hair coloring

Dress for Success Triangle NC: what do users think?
L P: This is a great organization. It helps women help themselves. Providing training in interview clothes without charge. They help with Resumes, LinkedIn profiles, interview preps, and improving skills. They also have quarterly boutique sales in both Raleigh and Durham that I go to. You can get it top brands at a reasonable price. They also accept donations.
maria velasco: A support system for women, they have a lot of resources online to keep up with the world changes .
Dee I Love Jesus: They have some really nice stuff if ur jus starting a job this is definitely the place to go to get some work clothes or uniforms
G YORK: THEY ARE AWESOME!! I'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE!! THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT!! THANK YOU!! 😊
Nattalie Honeycutt: Marked down Designer Clothing and opportunities to learn skills for employment. Great staff and instructors. It's a must go for me...
Caitlin Alexander: This nonprofit is AMAZING!! I turned to dress for success after dropping out of nursing and switching to marketing/social media/graphic design. I needed some business suits for job interviews/networking events etc.Making my appointment was very easy. When it was time for my fitting the day of the appointment, the dress for success employee that was assigned to me was super knowledgeable in picking out my suits (I chose to have two suits but they had other professional choices like dresses). She picked clothes that fit my body type extremely well that helped me feel confident (ex: picking business jackets that cover my hips since I’m insecure about them) and the colors she picked out fit me very well-I went with a “librarian” look that was overall professional, and a more colorful look that was made up of dark blue pants/salmon colored jacket/dark blue flats. She did a fantastic job picking out the salmon jacket (salmon that is too pink can make white people look washed out-it’s true!) and I was super impressed! I love picking between the suits knowing they look great in them which gives me confidence and allows me to follow through with being professional at any event or interview I am in.Other things that were really great about the nonprofit – at the end of the session when you picked out your clothes, you were allowed to take home a pair of earrings, a necklace, and a brooch. I don’t have a picture of it but I picked out a really cute painters palette brooch to celebrate the artistic career I had always wanted and was entering. I also received a free goodie bag of hygiene products containing so many useful items-breath mints/hand lotion/chapstick/body soap/deodorant/toothbrush and toothpaste/face wash/tinted lip oil etc (photo below)! It was really amazing and overall I had such a great experience. This Dress For Success is awesome and I hope the staff here know that! You’re hard work does not go unnoticed! Thank you for you’re hard work and dedication in helping me in my career and boosting my confidence!
Amy Adamski: I enjoyed the quarterly sale they had and spent too much money (not really...there was a lot of great options, priced well). All the staff and volunteers were helpful and made my shopping fun! Will go again. They do a great service for women looking for career wear.
Jessica Smith: I was unemployed April-December 2021. They host various programs-including "going places network". The 1st session (raleigh) was awesome. However, that has since gone down hill. I decided to enroll for Durham & didn't even make it half way under that session. Why would I be required to know & respond to interview questions and at the same time hear about others accepted into major companies(UNC, Deliotte) without answering interview questions at all. I even had an online D4S account—no help. I was not equally treated in accordance to others from both Raleigh, Durham nor felt as if my opinion nor appearance mattered. I haven't received any significant support other than getting clothes.I just dropped any and all services with this company and headed over to NCWorks
D J: Thanks so much to Sarah and Catherine and Company. EVERYONE is so nice and helpful and INcouraging! I really INjoyed the process of getting (fitted and) Dressed for Success. I'm so excited to go to work, fancy and cute! I really Really REALLY appreciate everything. I felt just like Vivian, when Edward took her shopping! in Pretty Woman! Even when leaving with my 2! shopping bags, I felt like: I have to go shopping now! (Vivian's "The Come Up" scene! Lol)They dressed me a year ago with one outfit for an interview (and some black slacks to compliment the uniform shirt of the grocery store job that I had at the time. But the job I acquired, after the grocery store, was a warehouse job; so I didn't really need anything.. business professional... But a year later, I acquired another job. This one more in the forefront and managerial! So I gave them another SOS call and they answered, with no questions asked! Actually getting the job (vs. interviewing) gets you 10! pieces!!!! 😭Dress for Success is certainly a wonderful program and concept. I had two professional outfits when I interviewed for my new job. I wore one outfit to my first interview; and I wore the second one to my second interview......... Looking forward to working as many days as possible, what's a woman to do? Call Dress for Success! They also offer other "get the job" related services- like resume writing and networking events. It's a great organization to give to, if you have it, and to receive from, if you're looking forward to having it!Thank you Dress for Success! 💥‼️
Lynn Renee: Great customer experience! I recently took my mom to the sale in Durham. It was her first time out since covid and the lady was so nice to her. She is recovering from cancer surgery and on oxygen. The lady went and got a chair for her and helped her to the back so she could take her time. She was awesome. She really brought me to tears. I was so touched by her that I'm ashamed to say I forgot her name. However, I will go to the sale in Raleigh and look for her. Her kindness and patience can never be repaid. I thank her from the bottom of my heart and I hope she receives her kindness back ten fold. Coming from a retail management background I can honestly say people like her are a rare find! Thank you so very much. I hope you are the person taking the holds in Raleigh!
A. Kenion: GREAT organization and GREAT staff!!! The inventory is high quality, shoes, jewelry and dresses. Great deals on the jewelry and one of the largest selections. I love to go there every time they have a sale. I get up early for their sales. I can't wait for the next event.
Teresa Malatesta: I haven’t been here yet and I’ve heard really good things but I can’t call nobody there phone doesn’t work does anyone know how to get in touch with the store
Mary Kearney: Love what they stand for. Polite staff.
Glitter Rat: Love this place! Always has the best stuff at good prices.

Ana Passman: Thank you for all you do.
Rodney Jones: Miss information about how to get help
Marrakesh Rose: They had an open house on Saturday 04/02/22. John stopped responding to my emails and I was not aware if I was confirmed to attend or not. I decided to still take the drive on from Fayetteville to Raleigh and was 3 min late due to a wrong turn my gps made. When I arrived the lady at the front desk was just looking at me through the doors for like 2 minutes before she decided to come and open the door. She told me that I am not allowed in for the information session because I am late. I explained that I was coming from Fayetteville and it is only three mins. She had negative 100% sympathy and stated sorry "John is a stickler for punctuality" and that I needed to reschedule. I walked out and decided there is no way I would want to work at a place that operated on such an unrealistic and rude way. Thanks but no Thanks. Three minutes .........seriously? 1 hour and 20 min drive? I am moving to that area in 1.5 months but I have no desire to work at company that callous.
Elizabeth Shelton: These guy's really do care and want to see people flourish in the way God has created us to all be and thrive. They'll help set you up for success if you truly want it! God will open doors no man can shut!
Chris Domenico: Although l did not get my needs met here immediately, l found the staff members to be very i informative and helpful.

The Women's Center: what do users think?
Latrice: I adore this place ❣️ I was going through a hard time went to this place for the couple hours they are open seem like I had no worries at all. Don't get me wrong it do have it up and down day everyone gets overwhelmed time to time. But I glad 😊 I'm apart of the women center it really changed my ... Love you guys and I 🙏 everyone has a wonderful New Year 🙏🙏💪💪💪💪😘💪
tarahickson: Love serving
Janice Boyles: Hands RAISED 🙌🏾 For The Women Center Thank you for All that you do for the women there …Raising Awareness For Leadership in the triangle area ..Where is leadership does it exist Anymore do anybody care with these Non-Profits organizations Who is accountable where is the accountability for the Leaders actions keep doing what you’re doing over there for the women if the head is corrupt then the whole body is corrupt.Keep watching Raising Awareness, We are going to Talk About Somethings# NoLongerOnMute#SufferinSilence#YourVoiceMatters#MyVoiceMatters
Tammy Wade: Very helpful for at risk women
Renee Peebles: This place is an amazing facility that helps women who for varied reasons are without a home. Each & every person who enters the doors of this place are greeted with no judgment, a friendly smile, direction and are helped with access to critical needs. Such a great staff here!
Vanita Lockley: I've been a supporter of the Women's Center and the great works that is being done for those that get help through there services
Michelle Snyder: Perfection at finest for homeless women
Toney Weatherman: Very nice
Deja Simmons: I was a recent case manager here and was FIRED by the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR BRACE BOONE!! I brought in personal donations of shoes for the women . He took them from the dontantion room and stored them in his office !! I retrieved the shoes from his office and gave them to the women ! He asked me to question a young woman about why one of the women had the shoes on and wanted to know where they came from . I stated that I gave the shoes to the young woman and he told me this wasn't the place for me and told me to leave the keys ! He fired me then stated that I was quitting was not true ! He is thief and a liar !!! Do not come to this place !!!
Alexus: There is a comment left by a Randall Jeffers not far down about a Brace Boone stealing donation items for personal gain that are donated to the womens center. After speaking with someone who has worked at the center and donated items of value, the items shortly after being placed in the donation area were mysteriously found in his office placed to the side, when they originally were intended for a specific homeless woman of the center. After being confronted on why the items were taken for his own personal gain he retaliated by firing the employee. Imagine how vile you have to be to take items donated to those of the less fortunate when you live in a multi-story home and live quite comfortably. I wouldn’t suggest donating here.
Delouris Goodson: Great place my sisters book club did a tour of facility and did a donation, Nora Robbins was excellent.
Sarah Parker: I'm trying to change my life around and moved to a recovery house. I'm in between jobs and called this place as to if they or knew anyone that could help me pay my back rent before I'm kicked out to the streets in a dangerous atmosphere for someone in recovery. They offered me absolutely no help. No referrals. I then called and asked if my medicine is something they could help me with. This time I was referred to one place however it was closed. So Im not sure what the women center actually helps with. Collecting funds and not doing anything about homelessness or preventing homelessness. It's sad. These non profit organizations are absolutely profiting. And the people in need are still as that, in need. Prayers please and for those donating I'd suggest donating somewhere that it actually will help the community.
Shenna Brown: Community Service is #1. We had a wonderful chance to take a tour with Norma of the facility and build great relationships. I have definitely share this with my other networks and we want to get involved, so Sept.26th 2021 at 10am we will be there for the Break The Cycle Bike Ride To Benefit Homeless Women In Our City. #shej #unityincommunity
Donna Chivis (DJ): We made a donation with plans to continue supporting this much needed service.
Susan Proctor: Very helpful staff
Deborah Lee: Great place to get help staff is excellent t land so nice
Erik Bomsta: Great people devoted to their community. Support this service.
Maxine Gardner: I have been supporting the center since last March. I find the volunteers to be super nice, patient and appreciate what I can bring to them.So far, I have donated during Breast Cancer month - gift bags with items the ladies can use. When I handed them out they were so happy. Today I returned with 30 gift bags with cards for Valentines day. I am blessed and love to help others. I also brought coats, small carry on case I did not need. Please try and help whether by donations of clothing etc or cash.
Aretha Tart: Went there for Covid test friendly staff
DECE StyleZ: My daughter and I visited to drop off some gently used items. The staff was very welcoming and appreciative. They still need winter items so please consider donating to this worthy cause. We will be visiting again soon.
Andrea Hoke: They help women.
