Jessica Kovalsky: I’m amending my review.My issue (the overflow drain in our tub was sealed shut instead of repaired) was resolved within four days (very acceptable considering it was not an active problem). It turns out the gasket was put on incorrectly, which sealed the drain. Roto-Rooter responded within a day of being contacted and sent someone out to fix it within four days. I’m satisfied and very happy at how it was handled. Customer service is always the most important consideration for me. Mistakes happen. It’s how a company deals with it that matters. Because of how they handled it, I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. They are expensive, but at least they stand by their work.

The manager promised to call me back the next business day. No call at all. Five days later, the bill department tweaked the bill so the total amount is the same yet with the lower tax rate. Once they sent me the modified bill, they threated me to pay the bill within 15 minutes, otherwise they would send it to to collections with a lien. Larissa O: There’s no way to describe Pipetechs’ work other than outstanding. Originally, I had contracted with them to get my entire sewer line replaced and a city-side clean-out valve installed. When their crew began excavating my driveway to replace the pipe, they inadvertently damaged my neighbor’s old terra cotta sewer line which ran parallel to and just 6 inches from my galvanized iron sewer pipe. (This was an unforeseeable accident as sewer lines emanating from 2 separate houses don’t normally run alongside each other in one driveway.) This was an unusual scenario likely stemming from the fact we live in a historic neighborhood where many houses are 100 years old or more and originally built without plumbing. When sewer lines were added some 90 years ago, contractors came up with their own designs which clearly no longer meet today’s requirements. What was even more unusual was that our respective lines merged into one pipe that flowed into the same sewer lateral, a configuration which also does not meet current code. Needless to say, this necessitated a change in the scope of the work, an additional commitment of time for Pipetechs’ crew, a permit and an inspection, things I felt certain would raise the cost of the job. Not only did they replace my neighbor’s terra cotta pipe and install a clean-out valve for her (as well as for me) for a nominal cost, they did not bill me extra for the additional work they incurred on my behalf. In other words, the invoice matched the estimate they originally quoted me. I was also impressed that the owner of the company, Dale Nichols, came to the job site to oversee that the job was done correctly and well. That level of integrity was reflected in the work ethic and attitude of Pipetech’s entire staff. Everyone I dealt with at Pipetechs was courteous, responsive, and diligently conscientious, qualities which reassured me I had made the right decision in hiring them for this job. At all times I felt my concerns were heard and respected. It is clear that Pipetechs is committed to providing excellent service. Can’t recommend them enough!

We had a sewage over flow in our basement which lead us to finding 30ft of piping needing replacement. Ripping up the foundation from the back of the house all the way to the street is a very scary project but Pipetechs did quality work at a fair price and a great attitude. It certainly wasn’t an easy job but they were great at communicating what was happening step by step and we will definitely use them again for any plumbing needs.

LuLaRoe Natalie Welborn: Purchased new house in May 2018 and after moving in realized we had horrible water pressure in house and outside hose faucets. We contacted them and they sent plumber out to tell us it was because we had 3/4” meter from the city that was causing our problems. Called city and they checked the pressure with no issues on their side and all meters are 3/4” in island. Not to mention both our nieghbors have great pressure. So we called a plumber and he pointed out they ran 1/2” lines they the entire house which is why we have no water flow. Our outside faucets barely spray 6’ with sprayer nozzle. Needless to say neither SECOF or the plumber they hired Rural plumbing wanted to fix the problem. There only response was that it passed inspection.

Jayme Cooper: Excellent service! I called Rural to fix my hot water tank because a family member said they completed service on her hot water heater for much less $ than another company had quoted. I had my hot water tank looked at by my handyman prior to calling Rural because I wasn’t sure if the problem was due to a pipe or the tank itself. He told me that I had a leak in my expansion tank but I needed to call a plumber because he could not repair a gas unit. He said my 2008 heater was in good condition though.I called Rural and told them That I needed an expansion tank replacement. They able to arrive in an hour. I was concerned they would try to talk me into replacing the tank entirely but it was never mentioned. They took my word regarding what I needed. The technician had the part with him and ready to go when he arrived. When he was finished, he took the time to show me how to turn the gas off to my unit if I happen to have issues in the future and made recommendations for insulation in my utility closet for winter to protect the hot water heater pipes. Very pleased with this company!

Jerome Harrison: I have 2 units, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, and the 3 guys, Gio, Daniel, and Fabio, arrived on time and replaced everything quickly and cleanly. The price I got from Rural beat the competitors price by about $1K. I've used Rural for a number of years for service and they've been a good service company. The last tech, Ken, did a great job and was very professional. Didn't realize ants could short your AC unit, but he showed me otherwise.

David Watts: I had a capacitor go out in my outside unit. I knew it was a capacitor but was tied up with work and didn't have time to fix it myself so I called these guys. I called and they showed up the next day within the time-frame, however, it seems they price gouge. I was charged a service fee of $90.00 and hen $204.40 for the capacitor. He also put 2 pounds of R-22 in for $225. I was expecting the capacitor to maybe be $75 max (since you can get capacitors all day at home depot for $10 to $20).I would call someone else and wouldn't recommend this company unless you like paying $$$.

cnthomas26: Mr. Brooks Pulley from TCR Rooter spent an entire day rerouting the plumbing for us to move our laundry room from downstairs to an upstairs closet. He was on time, professional, and did great work.We just bought a house that was built in the 1970s and has had some "unconventional" work done by previous owners. Each time he ran into something wonky that he had to work around, Mr. Brooks explained the situation to us clearly and made sure we knew our options and were okay with what needed to be done.He had to take up a large section of attic flooring to investigate the old pipes and to run a drain, and he put it back together for us before he left, which was unexpected and very appreciated. He even added insulation to our water lines since the previous owners had left them uninsulated.After he finished the work, he showed us what and where everything was. He explained things clearly and answered all our questions. He also gave us advice for the other kinds of work we would need done, and explained what we would need to watch out for during the rest of our project.
