Star Shea: We ordered sushi take out 2 days in a row. Very fresh fish. Delicious. Friendly staff.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Sushi Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Elise Houser: The spicy mayo in a dipping container was GENEROUS the salmon nigiri I got was amazing and the rolls I got were amazing, on top of that all the sushi rice is good and it's so cheap! I mean 4.99 for a salmon roll?! Have you ever heard of such a thing? It's marvelous!
Jaime Daly: Quality of food has gone done the last 6 months...don't know why they are always busy but the last 2 times I got food there it was NOT as good as it used to beFood: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Tuna Roll, Sushi, Roll …More
Ashley Billie: I got the sushi ocean combo and the shrimp pad Thai. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t awful. The portions are gigantic!!! You really get your bang for your buck here. By the time I got home my pad Thai had kinda stuck together, but I really liked the sauce it came with. I ended up not finishing the sushi.Recommended dishes Sushi …More
Steve Curtis: Do I have covid? That was the question I started to ask myself after tasting this food because I have heard that sometimes people lose their sense of smell and taste when they have covid. That's how bad this food was.I ordered it via Uber, and sitting in my hotel room, I was longing for just a packet of salt. Ironically, the packet of soy sauce that came with the sushi was low sodium.Speaking of the sushi, there were 4 option levels of spiciness on the "spicy" tuna roll. I chose the hottest. What they delivered would have been a good substitute for baby food. The wasabi, which could have fit in a thimble, had no flavor and no spice. I put it all on one pitiful piece of sushi and didn't know that it was even there. After this wholly unsatisfying meal, I went to brush my teeth before bed. The mint in the toothpaste was far more flavorful than the food, so I knew that I didn't have covid. All I had was a terrible meal and wasted money. My advice (particularly if you are sitting in a hotel room browsing the UberEats app: just close this window and return to the list of restaurants. Anything - and I mean anything - would be better.
Robert Van Hoof: Do not cut tiny pieces of zucchini, onion, and CABBAGE in a stir fry. They disintegrate and taste terrible. Also, chef clean your knife before cutting sushi. This is a poor excuse for hibachi created by people that obviously do not eat hibachi.Food: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Lola Suti: The food here is great! And their portions are huge. One to go box of the hibachi is more than enough to have extra food for later!Dietary restrictions accommodated Not sure …More
Matt Wood: Absolute trash. Worst food I’ve eaten from a restaurant in a long time. The honey chicken was so hard I could barely stick a fork in it and the food was just slammed into a styrofoam container. Zero stars. Will never eat here again

Seems to be a popular spot for the college students so the atmosphere is in and out.I noticed they are offering Thai dishes now so I have to check them out soon.

Arthur Zak: Nice food in a trendy setting. Came here for early dinner with my family and toddlers, and we were well accommodated. The setting, as expected, is probably meant for a young hip crowd but we did not feel out of place. The sushi was good (fried rolls, cucumber wrapped rolls, regular rolls), while some of the entrees were more hit or miss (General Tso's was done well, while the Ramen and the Dan Dan noodles were a tad underwhelming). Wish I had room for the fried ice cream! Overall a nice place for a sushi fix.
Bobby P: When we got here, we decided to try the outdoor seating, and it was nice. The hostess and waitress were friendly and attentive. We tried the crab Rangoon, & it was ok. There was something about the filling that was different, and I wasn't as much of a fan of that as other ones I've tried. We ordered some sushi rolls as well, and they were good, but there were other places in town that I felt had better sushi. Overall the place was ok, but if I go back, I might try some different things than what I previously ordered.
James Lightfoot: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Sushi RollsMore
Bailey Shaffer: Great place‼️. Went there for my birthday dinner. First time dining there. We had sashimi, and sushi, and bacon-fried rice, also tempura vegetables, and more. Our waitress was excellent, andI definitely will return again‼️
Rijul Razdan: Sushi O is a great little sushi restaurant on Glenwood Ave in Raleigh downtown. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and the service is friendly and attentive. We ordered the veg sushi which was fresh and delicious. The drinks were decent too. We also got the drunken noodles and just a heads up that their lunch and dinner prices are different for the same dishes. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great sushi experience. It can get crowded on weekends, they have a nice outdoor space as well, but they don't take reservations.
Daniel McPhail: Food and service was good. I thought it took too long for our food though. We were the only ones in the restaurant and still took over 30 minutes to get our food. Took about 45 minutes to get our sushi. I would really rather have the sushi first 😳Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Sushi …More
Corvy Strigdeus: I've been to many sushi restaurants in the triangle area, but this one is number one. The server and hostess were both extremely attentive. The server had a great sense of humor and I could tell she enjoyed serving my wife and I. We both ordered a Tom Yum that was the perfect level of spicy to prepare our taste buds for our sushi. I had a Mary Roll and my wife had a Firecracker roll. Both were prepared expertly by Suki. The Monday special of $3 draft beers made the drink choice easy and inspired me to try the Kyoto Rise. A refreshing mix of Malibu Rum, pineapple juice, grenadine, and sprite prepared by Marielle. This is not a restaurant to sleep on when visiting Raleigh! Make sure you get your chance to enjoy this wonderful restaurant just like we did!!
cathy crosland: The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was so relaxed. There's no window separating you from the outside so it was if I were eating outside. Such a great 1st time experience..Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Ali'ce Batten: Drinks were strong, but drinkable. I sampled the crab wonton, vegetable rolls and had the Mongolian beef w/ fried rice and salad-all quite delicious and flavorful! The waitress was very attentive amiable. The lighting is low and makes for a great date.Check it out! I will surely be going back 😊.

Jordan Hollibaugh: Lowkey best BOGO sushi in Raleigh. Can done in or do takeout with it as well. Awesome yummy rolls!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Timothy Crotts: Excellent sake selection, good menu variety. Owner works the bar and is happy to share his sake collection. Lovely place, will return many times.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Hannah Brown: We absolutely love ordering great food from Koi! Normally we don't have any issues with ordering however, the last several times we have had issues ordering take out with allergies. There is a lady (dont know her name as we just try to order) that comes across very negative when we order with a food allergy. Besides the feeling of attitude when asking for an allergy substitute, we 110% hope you enjoy their food!
Dillon Yousif: Maybe it was an off day judging by the reviews, but we did not have a great experience here. Ordered the tamago and were severely underwhelmed, then followed it with sushi that had warm, crumbly rice and somewhat poor quality on certain fish, but for buy one get one (on all specialty rolls by the way) I'm not sure how much I can complain. The service wasn't stellar but it wasn't awful either, again likely just a slow day. The Szechuan dumplings and pad Thai were pretty good. Overall, not impressed, but this may vary for everybody (their hot dishes may be the way to go).
Joseph Kosch: Small sushi joint with a great atmosphere. Everytime I go it's very few customers. The sushi is my favorite in town! I love how it's buy one get one free. Usually get 4 premium rolls. Fantastic place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Holly Jacobs: Absolutely wonderful restaurant with the best sushi in Raleigh! Jason, the owner, and his wife are so hospitable & generous. The food was absolutely delicious & we were treated to Sake on the house. We won’t be going anywhere else for sushi. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside & has a cozy, welcoming environment. You should definitely try this place because you’ll love it. Guaranteed!!
Knot86: Great place. The staff is almost better than the food. Very impressive selection of sake. Amazing. You owe it to yourself to go.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mike A.: Sushi was good but kind of average. Service was nice. Nothing great. Just kind of good and kind of "there" if you don't want to wait 3 hours down the street somewhere.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Mariana Forero: AMAZING restaurant - all around! (Note: The outside does not represent the quality of what is inside.) The restaurant is beautiful. The sushi was incredible. And the service, even better. Jason, the chef, was so kind to my family and I. He brought us multiple sakes on the house, explaining to us the differences between them. He checked in on us multiple times just to chat. And he helped us decide the perfect meal. If you like sushi, GO TO KOI. I promise, it will be an amazing experience.
Jorge Luis Forero: Delicious food, better than most that I have been all over the USA and the Chef was delightful. He opened 2 bottles of superb Sake from Japan (sweet and dry). What a great experience with my family and friend.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Bogo Sushi Rolls, Sushi for 2, Egg Rolls, Salmon Ceviche Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More

Liam McRae: Honestly some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. On top of that it’s BOGO on all of their rolls?! Really can’t beat the price, quality, service, and authentic vibe of this place. Don’t go anywhere else if you’re looking for sushi in the area.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Bogo Sushi Rolls …More
D: Well hidden gem with very good sushi. I haven’t had good sushi like this in a long time. Many other options.Recommended dishes Sushi for 2 …More
Jenna Ritz: Partner really liked his pepper steak, raved about the crunchy veggies & tasty beef. I have been before and I always order a spicy dish. The owner took the order, and I specified I liked it spicy. Once again they look at me with my very pale pink skin, reddish brown hair and blue eyes and think I lied. Out comes my Thai basil chicken. They say it is medium spicy on the menu. I looked. I was very hungry. No chili flakes. I tasted, no chili oil. I looked again, where are the chilis? It was in a sauce the same as my husband's dish. Very sweet, no heat. Why so sweet, haiyaa! Thai basil? Where? Szechuan peppercorn? Nope. I am so hungry, but once again they serve me food about as spicy Yorkshire pudding, nursery Mac and cheese, tuna casserole. WHERE IS THE HEAT!!! THE SPICE??I want to like this place, hubby is so happy there. Alas. I asked why it is not spicy, and the very pleasant waitress brought a bowl of chilies in oil. Was this not available to the chef? I am tired of having to repair my food because it doesn't even match what is on the menu here.Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose fromWheelchair accessibility: Ground floor curbless entryway

Chuck Norman, APR: This is my new favorite sushi bar and restaurant by a mile. The sushi is always fresh and the rolls are creative and visually appealing. I'm also very picky about my General Tsos Chicken and theirs is literally the best I've ever had.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Lisa Kouch: I stopped in to get hibachi to go. But after reading the reviews about the sushi, I stayed to dine in and get bogo sushi. I got P&L and land&sea, and really loved the P&L one. 8 PC each, and bogo makes 16PC with a decent tip, I spent $22 and left with leftovers. I'll Def come back to try other flavors.Parking: Plaza parking is ample
Mary Rogers: Terrible experience. Ordered the blue sea. The fish was old&mushy. The seaweed salad on top of my roll was overpowering. When I told the waiter that I did not like my sushi he did nothing to fix it. The bathroom was disgusting with puke on the floor. Definitely don’t recommend.
David Hertzberg: Wonderful restaurant! Great selection! Awesome staff!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jessica Ra: The food and service here are amazing! The owners, Jason and Livia (sp?), are very hospitable, generous, and wonderful. The sushi is so delicious and the shrimp udon soup was perfect!! Everything is done with care and love and you can taste it. This place is a hidden gem!!

Moira: Very friendly staff, they all greet you as you walk in the door. Plenty of sushi options that were tasty and at fair prices for the size rolls you get. They also have a ton of Saki options that range from cheap to expensive. You mark what you want on a sheet that they hand to the sushi chef, which is the only thing I did not like. Seems very unsanitary with multiple hands touching the sheet and having touched the table and counters, and then looked like the chef handled it while making your roll. This system could use a more sanitary improvement. Tried the maple brown sugar "pancakes" and they lacked quite a bit in my book. Good flavor but was very small for the cost and from what I expected and have seen posted on Raleigh food sights. Only got one very thin pancake. Overall, would go back for the sushi and Saki if the ordering system were modified.Edit: Recently went back and the ordering system seemed to change. Orders were put in on the computer instead of handed to sushi chef by way of the aforementioned paper slip. Thank you!
Yuting Ng: Really enjoyed the food and service.
Emily Mcmanaway: We dined in and got service right away. The great white shark role tasted so good and the Nabiyaki noodles I got the broth was so good and the noodles were just right. I definitely recommend going here for lunch or dinner.

Brian: I’ve seriously taken way too long to give Hayashi a review. I’ve been going to this restaurant for the past 15 years. The owners are wonderful people. They have a knack for finding staff who bring a strong game for the restaurant’s vibe - which is a small and cozy place to go unwind and enjoy the company of others, with absolutely incredible food. The sushi is always great - I bring friends who have travelled to Japan and they say the sushi rivals top-tier restaurants they visited there. They are very serious about the quality of the fish and the overall craft of sushi. The kitchen offers some real gems as well.. I look forward to continuing to visit Hayashi for as long as I can.
Marina M: Very kind staff and great food. Everything was interesting. I chose a bento box and the sashimi was super fresh, the salmon, however, was SO dry and I did not like the tempura. The overall experience was pleasant and I would return again.

Ashleigh: Super super good. I had a take out order and it was hot and fresh. I asked for cream cheese on a couple of rolls that didn't originally come with it and they made sure to fulfill my request! Lovely little restaurant and amazing food. Chefs and owner should be very proud of themselves ❤️ Looks like this will be my new spot!

Fran Bailey: We have been eating at sushi one since they opened. The shrimp fried rice was delicious and the spicy chicken was more than you could eat. We ordered pick up 6 months or so ago and the shrimp fried rice was not eatable. It had a very strange taste. I called and they really didn’t care and seemed to not believe me.We decided to give them another chance last week. We did a pick up order. The prices have gone up and the portion sizes have decreased. They no longer give you a salad when you take out. The shrimp fried rice had a strange taste again. The spicy chicken portion was about half the size it use to be. We spent over $75 on shrimp fried rice, spicy chicken and three sushi rolls. We will not be going back. The hostess was sweet.

Andrew Turik: Absolutely fantastic experience. The service is amazing, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Since taking on new management the restaurant has flourished.I will say they don't do bogo sushi anymore. But honestly with the cost of each roll it's hardly more expensive than when it was. And I feel the quality is better than it was before.I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting amazing food.

Karmen Yang: On a rainy day on a Saturday, I arrived in the evening and got sat down pretty quickly after greeting one of the hosts at the front desk. The interior design is pretty decorative, extremely pretty, and well-detailed. I cannot stop looking around because of how pretty the restaurant is.I am satisfied with my food. I ordered a sushi and sashimi meal, the fish is pretty fresh and I am a big fan of eating raw fish. I personally rate the raw fish and I can tell that it is fresh. I also ordered an alcoholic drink, it is a Berry Mojito, it is really good and fruity. I'd definitely recommend it! We also ordered sushi rolls, Casa Casa Roll and Alaska Crab Roll, it tasted pretty okay. I really like the dessert, Brownie 'N' Ice Cream, it tasted so much better if you combine it together. The service is absolutely great, and both hostess and waitress are very attentive.Overall, the food is a bit pricy but that's okay, I still enjoyed eating there.

He also interacted with my 6 month old nephew and so my whole family had a really good time. Massive props for providing entertainment while cooking in the searing heat. Food was also very good and would definitely go back if we could get Be as our cook.
Celeste “Lola” Brewster: I came an hr prior to closing and my group were the only customers there. I went here based on the reviews. The sanitation grade was low (94) and I could tell why. There was a smell of sewage, that almost made me leave before being seated. Some plates needed extra cleaning. The service was great, from the host, cook, server, even the owner/manager came out the back to count the register and was also very friendly. Just need to be a bit more cleaner, that's all. Food was good.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved it. Kid meal was same amount of food.

Kristin Brzezinski: Will never eat here again, bad business practices and sketchy owner who doesn't stand by food quality or satisfaction of their customers:/ I don't complain about food often unless it's absolute trash or completely wrong (which this was) but they won't even let you here because "they fulfilled your order" and that's all they're responsible for 🤦🏼‍♀️
Cindy Brzezinski: Will never go back. Ordered 2 filet mignon dinners rare, got home with 2 inedible sirloin steak meals horribly overcooked well done. They refused to refund me, insisting they were cooked rare and not sirloin. Steaks went to dogs, totally inedible, chewy. Horrible customer service, very unfair.

Ernest Rockwell: Nestled in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina, Sushi-Thai Raleigh is a hidden gem that seamlessly combines the vibrant flavors of Japanese and Thai cuisine to create an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we knew we were in for something truly special.First and foremost, let me start by praising the impeccable service we received. Our waitress was quietly attentive, gracefully guiding us through the menu and answering our questions with genuine warmth. Her knowledge of the dishes and recommendations truly enhanced our dining experience, making us feel like valued guests from start to finish. One of the first things that struck us upon entering the restaurant was its pristine cleanliness. The entire establishment was spotless, exuding an aura of freshness and attention to detail that set the stage for the culinary journey we were about to embark on. It was evident that the staff took great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, ensuring a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for all patrons. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. The menu at Sushi-Thai Raleigh is a tantalizing combination of Japanese and Thai flavors, offering a wide array of options to suit every palate. We indulged in both Japanese and Thai dishes and were consistently impressed by the remarkable quality and authenticity of each culinary creation. The sushi was an absolute delight. The expertly crafted rolls showcased a perfect balance of flavors and textures, with the freshest ingredients melting in our mouths. From classic favorites like the California roll to more adventurous choices like the Dragon roll, every bite was a journey into sushi perfection. When it came to the Thai dishes, we were equally enchanted. The fragrant aromas wafting from our plates were only surpassed by the explosion of flavors that followed. From the aromatic Pad Thai to the creamy and savory Green Curry, each dish was a harmonious blend of spices, herbs, and vibrant ingredients that transported our taste buds to the streets of Bangkok. As if the exceptional cuisine and service were not enough, the presentation of the dishes was truly a feast for the eyes. Each plate was meticulously arranged, showcasing the culinary artistry of the chefs. The attention to detail was apparent, and it enhanced our dining experience, making us appreciate the food even more.In conclusion, Sushi-Thai Raleigh is a culinary paradise that effortlessly captures the essence of Japanese and Thai cuisine. From the moment we entered until the last bite, we were treated to an exceptional dining experience. The quietly attentive service, spotless ambiance, and delectable food combined to create an evening that we will cherish for years to come. If you find yourself in Raleigh, do not miss the opportunity to embark on this culinary journey—you won't be disappointed.

Kai Sushi & Sake Bar: what do users think?
Kayla Runyan: They are very mindful and considerate of gluten allergies! Delicious gluten free sushi and excellent service.
Clark Neumany: Happy mother's day to the best mother/wife on this planet/universe. We just got back from vacation and Michele wanted sushi so we went to the best place in Raleigh Kai sushi. Alway the best and the steamed dumplings are the best. We always get the Darth Vader and the Dark knight tonight we also ordered the snap dragon, volcano and the black widow. All their rolls are amazing.
Tim Epps: This place never disappoints. The location, food and service are always spot-in. We'll keep coming back for those 3 or 5 sushi roll specialsFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Roll, Sushi & Sashimi, Sake Flights …More

AK: They never pick up their phone :(
Camerons Culinarium: Decent sushi. I had the Tuna Titaki which was the better of the 2 things I had for lunch. It was a nice twist to what you normally get at most places. This dish came with 3 different kind of tuna with a light sear. Fresh and tasty, for sure. I had their Black Widow roll, and it was not so great. Had an unpleasant fishy taste to it (not so fresh). Their menu consisted of a lot of "spicy" versions of their fish, which usually means that it isn't as fresh. Would have loved to have seen more of a variety of fresh fish rolls. Worth a try, though.

J J: Sushi was OK. I don't like all the crab salad In the rolls instead of actual crabsticks. For the price, the quality was not really up to standard. We really miss Tokyo House.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Do What You Love: We’ve been eating here for years but sadly will not be coming back. The sushi last night was not only not rolled tightly so it was a mess to try to eat but the fish was grey! We had 5 rolls and all were poor quality.
Candace Obuge: Quality drop - majorly. Quality of the fish down. Manager wasn't responsive when we were jipped on the tempura (requested swap for onion). All we got was "sorry, we'll talk to the chef".Wouldn't offer to make us happy. Only " it's like $1, I can give you a piece of tempura if you come back in". Ahh, no. Thanks. Noted. Our go-to is no longer the go-to.
Joanna Sorensen: Get the Kai miso soup. Don’t think about it. Just do it. You won’t regret it. All of their sushi hands down is the best I’ve had in Raleigh to date.
Alex Hall: We used to love this place, but sadly it has gone downhill fast. Other tables that arrived 20 to 30 minutes after we were seated recieved their food before we did. Our waiter would try to leave before we were finished ordering. Dirty plates, dirty glasses, and just 'OK' food. Sadly won't be returning here.

Ajisai: what do users think?
TJ Styers: The tuna dumpling appetizer and Angry Dragon roll are two of my favorites! Tried over 12 different rolls and they're all pretty amazing. Service has always been top notch when I've visited but Liam is the man. The plating style and decorations add a little flare which brightens the overall experience. Full bar is always a plus but I like the Sho Chiku Bai Nigori Sake.
Jim Deaton: Most of my party enjoyed their meal. My shrimp teriyaki was tough and low on flavor.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Kt Russo: We sat outdoors and awaited a waiter. It took quite a while for anyone to come to the table and whenever we ran out of water or needed something the waiter was not available or was indoors. We ordered appetizers and one did not come til after dinner which was odd as we were never updated on that. The food was delicious though and we will most likely go back for take out. I don’t recommend dining in.
Garrett Christian: Some of the best sushi I've ever had!! The pad Thai was great, too. I plan on going back there every time I'm in the area.

Camerons Culinarium: TOP NOTCH! From the service, to presentation, to the most important part, the flavor. They have a really unique menu, with your basics, and then some really upscale twists on classics. I had the truffle salmon appetizer, and it was so fresh, and the flavors combined with each other perfectly. I had the Girl On Fire roll, and the presentation alone was enough to sell me, but the freshness and combination of everything together in this roll was next level. No soy sauce or wasabi necessary. Just eat it as is and you will not be disappointed. The service was super fast and friendly. I came in at lunch time and was able to sit right down. I will definitely be back, and couldn't recommend this place enough.
