Jess Farrand: 10/10 all around here. We’re in town for a short period of time and friends recommended we stop here for tapas & drinks — it did not disappoint. Our drinks were great, the food we ordered was incredible. The meatballs were our absolute favorite out of everything we ordered. The staff was extremely friendly and the vibe of the entire place was next level. Highly recommend stopping here for drinks and amazing small plates to share.

The wine is excellent and I really enjoyed my Granache flight.Parking: Street parking can be hard to find in Raleigh, but there is a lot just next to the building.
Emily Schlick: The food is absolutely amazing! The shrimp in olive oil was the best dish I’ve had in a long time and the squash was delicious. I have a gluten sensitivity and a dairy allergy and the entire experience was amazing. Over half the menu I can eat, it was probably the widest variety at a restaurant I’ve had in years. The waiter asked about allergies when we sat down and then edited my menu to cross off all items directly with gluten and/or dairy or that has cross-contamination. The manger came to our table several times to ensure everything was good and even gave me one of the tapas for free, I assume because I wasn’t able to eat the complementary bread. Truly wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back.We went when it was raining on a Friday night and it was a little crazy, as the outdoor seating wasn’t available. But they did an amazing job at accommodating for long waits and were very courteous about everything.Dietary restrictions: Very gluten and dairy free friendly.

Tahia Monjuli: I have always loved this place but somehow it took me so long to finally try their brunch menu. Everything we tried was exceptional. It reminded us of tapas we had in Barcelona. This spot has some of the most unique brunch dishes if being adventurous is your hobby! The price is reasonable compared to other tapas places within the are and specially when you consider that its located in Downtown Raleigh. Staff is really friendly and will help you pick out items if you are not familiar with spanish food.If you are coming for dinner - don't skip out on their Paella. Its honestly as good as it gets outside of Spain.Can't wait for next time!
Annie Cohen: What incredible food and service! Our server Raymond went above and beyond to ensure a great experience on our anniversary. He started out by asking if we had any dietary restrictions which was so courteous (it’s always awkward having to ask) and I’m currently dairy and egg free due to my newborn’s allergies. He took a menu to the kitchen and had them mark it up so I could easily see which dishes could be adapted. This made ordering a breeze and we loved everything we got. Because I couldn’t eat any of the desserts, he took it upon himself to bring us some fruit in a sweet syrup that was delicious and two glasses of sherry. I was really blown away by that. The managers also are very proactive and help their staff immensely. Best dining experience I’ve had in a long time!
dan smith: Every part of Barcelona Wine Bar was great. It’s a beautiful place to eat and drink. The staff are super friendly and the service is attentive. There was only one bartender working when we were there so the drinks were a little slow coming out but they were delicious. And the food is excellent. Bring some friends and share some plates you want be disappointed.

Cindy Willis: We did not have a reservation this evening and took a chance on getting 2 seats in the bar area. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the bar area. We were quickly greeted by Cameron at the bar. He was friendly and helpful with cocktail and menu suggestions and helping us decide on menu items. We enjoyed both the cocktails and tapas selections we tried. The croquettes, lemon hummus, steak, scallops, and potato pie were very tasty and filling. The bread, olives and olive oil was yummy. We vacationed in Barcelona a few years back and this made us feel like we were there. Highly recommend for the service, atmosphere, cocktails and food. Will definitely be back.Parking: Close by

Hannah Keister: The customer service at this restaurant is severely lacking, if at all existent. As my family and I were so looking forward to dining here, we were sorely disappointed. Not only were our orders delivered incorrectly, but wait times were excessive. Two in our party respectively ordered the salmon dish, while only one was brought to us. When inquiring where the second salmon dish was, we were told by our waitress that we had only ordered one dish, even though we expressly had two separate orders, each with two completely different cooking temperatures. When encountered with the issue, our waitress then informed us that they were completely OUT of salmon, and would thus have to order a completely different dish. To maintain that is it the fault of the guest that our waitress incorrectly recorded our very specific order is absolutely ludicrous. We then proceeded to wait 20 minutes for our replacement dish, which we never even wanted in the first place were it not for their own mistake. Instead of offering any sort of semblance of apology, our server made us feel as though we were in the wrong, and failed to offer any sort of compensation or form of understanding. We will NOT be returning to taste, until they are able to offer even remotely adequate customer service, or acknowledgement of mistake when it is so clearly made.

V W: Restaurant was understaffed and employees seemed stressed trying to keep up. We were sat at a table for 10 minutes before menus arrived. The waitress/ hostess was kind and we felt bad for her. When the food arrived it was okay, but a bit overcooked and too much pepper. We understand the staffing challenges and supply chain challenges post covid, so we were patient. However, there were many guests that came in, waited at the host stand to be seated while a frenzied staff walked by without even acknowledging their presence. I really felt like a simple "Hello, we'll be right with you" to guests waiting to be seated would've helped. Willing to give this place another try for dinner, but I don't think I'll return for brunch.

Christian Stevens: They were out of shrimp and grits, came back 25 mins after we ordered to tell us they were also out of steak tacos that 2 of us ordered then came back AGAIN to tell us they were out of potatoes which all 4 of us ordered. This entire experience lasted almost 2 hours for average food at best. Very disappointed and they didn’t offer a discount or anything. Our server also never filled our beverages. All around a negative experience.
Meghan Sielaty: I come here every few weeks and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. All of the wait staff is FANTASTIC! No matter what I order, I’ve been beyond pleased with what I’ve received. My tip is to tell your waiter what you like and let them choose. They always choose the best things! I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Susan Hagy: What a find this little gem is! We can't understand why it wasn't overflowing with patrons but can only surmise it's the location. You have to know its there. We had four small plates between the 2 ofus with wine, just the perfectamount of food and so delicious!We had the hanger steak with cremini mushrooms, onion and a delicious sauce, pistachio encrusted ahi tuna with Avacado, the arugula salad and bruchetta with feta. It was all perfectly prepared and amazing flavors. Loved it!

Allison Alvarado: Probably my favorite restaurant in Raleigh because it checks all the boxes for service, ambiance, food, and drinks. It’s relatively small which makes it the perfect intimate date spot. The menu changes, but the crab cakes and sliders are always a favorite (seriously, get the crab cakes!!) I always finish my meal with their coffee martini.
Grant Masini: Everything I’ve tried has been superb. Love the soft subtle vibe (for weeknights). Give it a shot and you’ll see.
Kevin Buell: Friends, who are regulars, took my family to this wonderful establishment. The small plates style is always fun since you get to have more than one dish. Everyone loved their food. My drunken noodles and grouper dishes were fantastic and my son loved the chocolate pyramid desert. Unfortunately I didn’t have any room for dessert after eating both my plates and some of my wife’s. The server was also very good and nice. Highly recommend this place for your next nice dinner.

We rented the entire place for the evening and were so well taken care of. From dealing with Jim as we were planning the evening, to the staff working that evening - everyone was great to work with!We had a buffet dinner went with their proposed menu. Michelle Mohr: I chased a few ants off the couches by the window and sat down. Tried to avoid the stain but that’s what I get for going during daylight hours. The drinks are like an fortune teller’s bar on a carnival cruise. Cool effects/kinda nasty to drink. The idea of some dark and emo/skater freak bar with a trendy pink twist makes you feel like your drinking old juice in the back of a thrift store. Which will probably be the next fade. Bright pink food. Very nasty.
Chris Catlett: The place is really cute, the service was great and the drinks were not bad, but the food was disgusting. I would have given more stars because the servers were super nice, but the manager blew it because of how he was treating the servers . I was asked to pay for something I sent back or to order other food (it was all so greasy I didn’t want anything). My poor server was sent over to ask the above of me with absolutely zero back up from her manager. He basically sent her to do his dirty work. I had absolutely no problem with paying, because I get that food costs the restaurant money but I was utterly appalled that the manager himself didn’t come and explain this to me rather than putting his hard working servers in such an awkward situation. When I did speak to him I called him out on his behavior and he said could you imagine me having to do that to everyone. YOU ARE THE MANAGER… it is your job to do that, not to put your staff in bad situations. I’ve been in customer service for 20 years, you don’t put your staff out like that. I hate to say it, but I probably won’t be going back and I really wanted to like the place too.

Shawn Googins: Visited on Sunday evening, we've been meaning to get here since we moved to Wake Forest and finally made it! It's pricey, but the food and service were top notch. Big portions for a Tapas place, cocktails were fantastic, great selection of rums and wine (available by the glass as well). Had the boat down, the rum old fashioned and the coffee /cocoa martini, all great. Had the seared tuna, Burrata, shrimp, salad with feta and pickled blueberries, pecan with brown butter, empanada. Everything was fantastic, we will be back! Parking available on the street or lots close by.

Brandi Dennison: A Treasure in downtown Wake Forest. All 8 of the dishes we had were wonderful. Much variety for those with tricky diets. Tia Moore (Velinda): They have a gluten-free menu and are Celiac aware. The Goat Cheese Dip is worth the visit all by itself! It is served with crostini, or with gluten-free chips on request. The Ahi Tuna was also excellent. We ended the night with the chocolate mousse with expresso glaze and an Irish Expesso, which is made with Jameson. The mousse was ok by itself, but shined with the expresso foam paired with each bite. (The menu says expresso glaze, but it is really a nice foam.)Atmosphere is great for a couple or small group.
Mike Steele: Bodega is an absolute local gem that should not be missed. Serge (executive chef and owner) has put together a menu that offers a succulent array of foods and flavors that will appease almost any palate. From seared tuna to Peruvian chicken and escargot to foie gras crème brûlée… there are so many options you’ll want to come back to try what you couldn’t try because you were too full on that visit!Some of my personal favorites are the lamb meatballs, NC goat cheese dip (with oyster mushrooms and Holly Grove cheese!) and the Beef Empanada NC Wagyu. Located in the historic district of downtown Wake Forest this is a MUST TRY!!!

The food was adequate at best, lots of locals there hanging out and drinking, the drinks were great, the bar tender was wonderful, but I noticed not too many people were eating, just drinking. Dark bar atmosphere, small, limited seating. The lamb meatballs were the best part, plus the cheese board, but come on, its a cheese board.
