Myla Zimmer: I went for the first time on Saturday night 6/18 and a bartender on the left part of the bar (closest to the dance floor) blatantly ignored me. I understand you had a whole bar to take care of for yourself but you made eye contact with me several times & helped the guest to my left and to my right !! that had arrived after me and still ignored my existence :/ Sucks to know I didn’t matter.

V Red: Clean, strong drinks, and has friendly staff; however, gays beware: it has way too many straights and particularly hetero college jocks that take over the back game room. The jocks even look at actual gay people like we don't belong there.

One of the top reasons for us to come to Raleigh. Unfortunately, despite planning our trip for weeks in advance and getting confirmation from Google hours, WORK, ended up being closed and we had to bring liquor from the store back to Red Roof Inn. Like full on pulled me cause I was already on the other side. Then he said "the exit is that way". I'm not sure if he was an employee, but he had a black tank top, brown hair, and was very skinny (but also strong). I believe it was a little after 11 in the lobby between flex and the outside bar. Deb Beck: The bartender was so nice and made great cocktails. Their menu selection was good and their craft cocktails were great. The friendly atmosphere made me feel less like a tourist and more at home!
G A: Went here for my bachelorette party during Trolli Pub crawl tour which stopped near here. The driver encouraged us to patronize The Anchor Bar.We went in with about 4 people to get a quick shot. It was a busy weekend in town but the bar was not “slammed” at 2:30 PM in a Saturday. He didn’t serve us for fifteen minutes. We waited. And waited. After ten, we were finally at least acknowledged when he told us he would help up shortly.He was purely rude and did NOT want to serve us. We all just could not figure out why? Were we profiled? We were a mixed group though. Maybe it is more of a sit down place? But, none the less the message was loud and clear that he was hoping we would wait till we left from frustration.When the shot came he even ignored me when I asked what type of tequila it was? Then tried to say “oh you’re talking to me?” There was no other bartender working. I dunno-I will let the trolli tour know not to suggest this place to it’s clients 😳 two stars cause the shots were fat

Hizo que una noche de cita de última hora fuera mucho más agradable, y proporcionó diferentes alcoholes para comparar con nuestras opciones normales. Elischa Dessalines: Colby and Jamie are the dream team !!!!! Their service was phenomenal. My friend and I had such great conversation with them and they gave us the absolutely best customer service . If you ever come out here make sure Colby and Jamie are working. You’ll have an amazing time . Get the mommy milkers and lemon drop with the mint leaf !! Love love love my time tonight . I will be back !

Hector David Rivera: This is truly a fantastic bar. Excellent drinks with unique and sophisticated flavors. I can see why they have won best bar in Raleigh 5 years running. I tried 4 different drinks, all great, but the best was the Dram Swizzle. Highly recommended.

It has the comfortable vibe of an ancient neighborhood bar, but the quality of the cocktails and variety of whiskeys seems transported from the highest-end NYC or LA bars. A+ quality and service.
