Andrew Hobbs: Our toilet stopped flushing. Our keys stopped working literally every day. The hotel has leaks and the elevators are multiple years out of inspection with missing bolts in the panels and take up to 15 minutes to arrive. Out room had multiple broken tiles and the bathroom had mold. No stairs from the lobby so it’s a fire hazard. The restaurant was overpriced and bland. There was a homeless guy in the lobby asking people to rent him a room that the staff did nothing about. No fridge or microwave in any room and some of the ice machines don’t work, and since they are on random floors you will have to run around the whole hotel to get ice. The door to the room also wouldn’t close all the way unless you pull on it with all your weight so it could be potentially reopened without a key. Half the escalators don’t work. The room also had silverfish.

C Bee: I had breakfast Monday morning while waiting for my business partner to come and join me. I was blown away at how delicious the food was. I'm in the food and beverage industry, and I sometimes like to taste other chef's food. I had to ask who the chef was. The young lady told me Darrin made the breakfast. The grits were perfect, and the hotel was spot on for great customer service. Thanks so much Sheraton for the great hospitality!!

James Ge: Everything was great except for the hotel surroundings and transient open lobbyRooms, stayed on the club level, the room looked renovated according to the updated Sheraton brand, although the ceiling had some strange marks, bathroom amenities were goodLounge, the staff was very hospitable, and for an American club lounge the hot dishes were remarkably good - considering US dining times you’ll not find a space between 530pm - 630pm ish, come at seven the lounge is yours, with dishes being replenished even 10min before dinner is supposed to wrap up, there are dozens of non alcoholic beverages and plenty of snacksThe only off putting bit was the combination of lobby architecture - being accessible from two sides and a connected building, which led to some odd folks roaming around, maybe it’s a trade off for being in what appeared to be downtownIf you come here from Bonvoy to double check against the 3.x rating the hotel has received there, I completely disagree itIt’s a solid Sheraton with updated rooms on the club level, a good club lounge and friendly staff - and I say that as a long time ambassador status holderI’d stay here again, but a bit of lobby security wouldn’t hurt

Brice Pinkowski: Great location in the heart of Raleigh. Just certain parts of the room show its age, with warping floors and cracks in the corners. Despite these small things it is very clean and a comfortable place to stay.

Sam Sletten: Pros: Lovely front desk staff, good air conditioning.Cons: Rooms.Traveling as a group, of 3 rooms that we checked into 2 had to be changed. The first room's door had a security latch that was completely sawn through. The second room had not been cleaned after the previous occupant. All three rooms had either cheap or highly worn vinyl flooring that was coming undone. Hooks for the showers were old/warped and as a result occupants had to re-hang the shower liner. One request to replace a broken coffee maker was ignored.I am a regular guest at Sheraton Hotels and have never seen a property in this rough of condition. Would stay away until property undergoes another renovation.

Lois Petersen: Beautiful, newer hotel located on the campus of NC State University. I had room 401, a spacious corner room with huge windows overlooking landscaping on one side & the city on the other. Everything is clean and well stocked. Outdoor heated pool, workout room & restaurant with bar. Some rooms overlook Lake Raleigh. What really stands out about State View is the service. It has been quite a while since I was greeted with such sincere welcome and hospitality at a hotel. Staff are very professional and accommodating. I have no complaints at all and highly recommend.

George Yorgakaros: Lovely hotel and where my partner and I stay every time we're in Raleigh. The rooms are clean and the hotel is nice - but where StateView really makes the difference is with service. Every person I've ever met at the front desk has greeted me with a smile and has been extraordinarily helpful. At the bar, Mimi went above and beyond even after they had closed to grab me an iced tea - a simple request, sure, but one that definitely put her out, given they had already closed.The fitness room is well-equipped and never crowded and the pool is comfortable and has plenty of outdoor seating above and around it.

Rene Bystron: As an Ambassador Elite member at Marriott, I've stayed at many of their properties. Unfortunately, Stateview Hotel is not one I can recommend.The hotel's physical aspects are decent. The rooms are okay and the dining staff is friendly. However, the management's lack of customer service and efficiency taints the overall experience.I ran into a problem when I asked for a simple request: to include both guests' names on the folio. I was assured by the receptionist this would be done. It wasn't.Despite my follow-up emails, I received only generic responses from a manager named Nakyla Barnes. They were quick to apologize, but my request was ignored. It's been three weeks now, and I'm still waiting for that folio.It's clear there's an issue with the mid-level management at this hotel. Their indifference towards customers' needs is shocking. If Stateview wants to improve, they must address this.In conclusion, Stateview Hotel is a letdown. If you're a Marriott member, I suggest you consider other properties.

Monica Tornros Jakobsson: We stayed at the Stateview hotel for 3 nights, and we wished we hadn't booked so many nights. Front desk staff was not friendly at all. Breakfast was so so. Rooms were way too dark. Bed did not suit me, it was so hard. My back was so stiff and I ended up sitting in the futon for the most of the night. There was of course some positive things too. Pool area is really nice. Location is great.
