Chris Foley: Room was a little outdated, but everything was top notch! Service, food & drink, & location. I'm still not used to the post covid no room cleaning daily thing, but all hotels are doing that so I guess that's normal now.
Charlotte Oakley: Certain employees of this location are not.... The best .I phrase it that way, To be nice..The incidental charge the make you pay over the hotel stay, some people only pay 20 others 50.I was is in the $50 category. And employees slipped up and said something about a $20 incidental hold. That's when I said but I paid $50 everyday. The reason I was checking in and out everyday my vehicle broke down. I didn't know when it was going to be fixed so I had to make a reservation each day so every time I checked in and checked out it was another incidental hold. Then I realized I wasn't getting my incidentals back. They printed up paperwork they cannot show me where they were releasing my money. So almost a month worth of incidentals. At $50 a day.... my truck will finally be fixed in the next 2 days. .and as mentioned in another review this is not good by Hilton standards. But well worth the price line discounted rates . Housekeeping is great people!
Alin Bennett: A really great hotel. Two things were annoying. The wifi is not good. 1) I had to use my hotspot most of the time. 2) they rent their pool out to at least two swim schools. I was trying to relax on my vacation, but had to listen to a dozen of young children scream as they were learning to swim. The latter is a deal breaker for me. I won't be back...

christine: Came for a family reunion was not pleased at all. This might as well be a pet/dog hotel dogs were everywhere no set floor for people who don’t enjoy dogs 😔. Not only did I also get stuck in the elevator for 3 mins the woman at the desk told me it was because of the storm I would think they would shut them all down if this was the case but they also allowed others to get stuck as well after it was brought to the attention of staff. During our dinner session not only did they have the iced tea set up 45 mins before dinner so it would be watered down by time we would have arrived. Also the paid bar left 2 hrs before the time slot was up. You guys also need a better system for your breakfast and have the correct dates when you give the vouchers during check in. Please also work on customer service there was only two woman who made this trip worth while the rest need a customer service course. This overall experience was super 8 value with Hilton prices. I wish I could get my money back. Horrible experience

Dark Seraphim: If you come between 2-4 on a Friday expect a small wait for Check-In. However, the staff is very professional and the hotel itself has been updated within the last 5 years and is very clean, modern and comfortable. Obviously, there's no microwave in most rooms but, there's one available on each floor. Solid Hilton that meets expectations.

England: I decided to stay here for a few days. I haven't stayed here in years. This place needs a complete renovation. Apparently the lobby and restaurant area was only renovated.The rooms are very outdated. The carpet and furniture stinks and gave me a very bad headache. The floor I was on was hot and apparently the air wasn't working properly. The internet services wasn't working properly either.This is not a place I would choose to stay at again. Big dogs were walking around everywhere. They were in the eating areas just very uncomfortable for me. I personally don't like to eat around animals.

Beds are comfortable, it's mostly quiet up on the 4th floor, and the coffee is hot! Complimentary breakfast is always a plus to get you on your way, but if that ain't enough for you then there's a Waffle House right next door!

Ben Humphrey: I had a very disappointing stay here. After driving many hours to this location, I was awakened at 5:30AM by the alarm clock in the room next door. Multiple calls down to the front desk went unanswered, forcing me to dress and go find the lone staff person cooking breakfast in order to turn it off. Of course at this point, I was unable to return to sleep so arrived at an important interview quite disoriented and frustrated. This interview was the whole purpose of my stay, so the relatively expensive $125 room was a complete waste. Neither the front desk nor La Quinta customer service offered any kind of remediation other than points to their "club", which I am now convinced not to join. Lois Petersen: Beautiful, newer hotel located on the campus of NC State University. I had room 401, a spacious corner room with huge windows overlooking landscaping on one side & the city on the other. Everything is clean and well stocked. Outdoor heated pool, workout room & restaurant with bar. Some rooms overlook Lake Raleigh. What really stands out about State View is the service. It has been quite a while since I was greeted with such sincere welcome and hospitality at a hotel. Staff are very professional and accommodating. I have no complaints at all and highly recommend.
George Yorgakaros: Lovely hotel and where my partner and I stay every time we're in Raleigh. The rooms are clean and the hotel is nice - but where StateView really makes the difference is with service. Every person I've ever met at the front desk has greeted me with a smile and has been extraordinarily helpful. At the bar, Mimi went above and beyond even after they had closed to grab me an iced tea - a simple request, sure, but one that definitely put her out, given they had already closed.The fitness room is well-equipped and never crowded and the pool is comfortable and has plenty of outdoor seating above and around it.
Rene Bystron: As an Ambassador Elite member at Marriott, I've stayed at many of their properties. Unfortunately, Stateview Hotel is not one I can recommend.The hotel's physical aspects are decent. The rooms are okay and the dining staff is friendly. However, the management's lack of customer service and efficiency taints the overall experience.I ran into a problem when I asked for a simple request: to include both guests' names on the folio. I was assured by the receptionist this would be done. It wasn't.Despite my follow-up emails, I received only generic responses from a manager named Nakyla Barnes. They were quick to apologize, but my request was ignored. It's been three weeks now, and I'm still waiting for that folio.It's clear there's an issue with the mid-level management at this hotel. Their indifference towards customers' needs is shocking. If Stateview wants to improve, they must address this.In conclusion, Stateview Hotel is a letdown. If you're a Marriott member, I suggest you consider other properties.

Being a long time La Quinta patron, saying that my family and I were disappointed is a gross understatement. I am going to list everything that made this stay one of the most inhospitable places I've stayed:1. Sheets were dirty and had stains on them.2. No shampoo, conditioner or lotion bottles, only bars of soap.3. Broken back door which seriously compromised the physical security of this establishment.4. Trash and garbage in the elevator, which broke down during our departure date. Also the primary elevator was out of commission. I had to exit the 3rd floor, with my luggage in hand, in order to check out.5. People staying there were openly smoking on the 5th floor.6. The breakfast service was substandard at best. Trash was overflowing, there was no coffee available, and food options were lacking.7. The floors on the tiled areas were sticky and had the appearance of not having been cleaned in days.I would have had a more enjoyable stay sleeping in my car, with my family, in a Walmart parking lot than what I went through. This place needs to be torn down and remodeled with a whole new staff hired that actually cares about hospitality.
J Stephens: The hotel is in a good location however the service here is almost non-existent. The floors are dirty, the breakfast area is never cleaned and all the tables were a mess with the same food on them from the day prior.When you can actually find a staff member they are always rude and upset you're asking them for something. The elevators don't work, the keys constantly have issues. Three Region: Heights House is a stunning boutique hotel in the Boylan Heights neighborhood. Great for gatherings and absolutely stunning for surprise proposals. With wonderful staff and inviting spaces its the best place for that special moment in your life.
Frank Raus: Stayed one night on our way from Pennsylvania to Savannah. Property both inside and out was very beautiful and impeccably maintained. Only two items prevented a 5-Star Rating. 1. Our room was equipped with a "wet bath" (where the toilet is located in the shower area) and we are not a fan of that arrangement. 2. The hotel hosted a corporate hospitality party that dominated the complete first floor. We were never told of this function, which force us to enjoy our cocktails on the front porch (which was lovely) but we could not enjoy the parlor or any of the other first floor rooms. Disappointing!

Apparently Umstead spa had a renovation that made it impossible to find an open slot to book for my birthday 5/19. I didn’t get to experience the steam room, but the lounges were nice, the atmosphere, the whirlpool, the co-ed outdoor whirlpool was so nice. The bath & body products available for use while patronizing the establishment smell so good and feel nice on the skin. We always have a wonderful time, and I am struggling with putting 4 stars for service as it is their own standard I am comparing it to. They are normally a level of perfection rarely matched by others. However, this last time was a bit under that standard. We ordered coffee with cream and sugar and got a dirty cup and no spoon. When they did housekeeping after the first night, they took my robe as it was lying on the bed anddidn'tt replace it. Simple easy things that they fixed rapidly, but mistakes we are not used to at this usually impeccable hotel! This, of course, will not discourage us from attending again, if not before, then definitely on our next anniversary!Habitaciones: Rooms are always clean and well presented. karin golden: I was gifted a massage at Umstead spa for Mother’s Day, and I felt like it was such a bad experience for over $200. When I first booked it my massage was 1:15 until 2:15 and they said I can arrive at 12:15 and stay until 3:15. I’ve been to spas all over the world and I’ve never had an end time so I thought that was strange but I just went with it. When I arrived, they said that my end time is 3 PM not 315. My massage started a few minutes late and the entire time all I was thinking was “how I’m going to shower, get ready, dry my hair by 3 PM.” Not relaxing at ALL. By the time I left the room and took the elevator back down to the locker room. I checked my phone and it was 2:25. Usually, I like to steam after massage but obviously there was no time for that. I got to check out right before 3 PM. But if I hadn’t, would they really come looking for me in the locker room and kick me out? I find this policy so strange. And I told them that and they got very rude about it.
